SCRAPING TECHNIQUE
• Child’s play: firstly, draw several layers of color on top of each other on a sheet of paper – starting with the light colors. The last layer should always be black or a dark color. Use a scraper or a coin to scrape a picture in the dark layer. This reveals the wonderful colors beneath
FROTTAGE TECHNIQUE
• Place a coin, a leaf or any flat object under the paper and draw over the paper with the STABILO® woody 3 in 1. As if by magic, the structure of the object now appears on the paper.
PASTEL TECHNIQUE
• If it’s subtle color transitions and new color variations you want – simply smear the colors of the picture with something soft like cotton pads. Coarse paper is best for this technique. Professionals use fixing spray to ensure the color adheres to the paper for as long as possible.

WATERCOLOR TECHNIQUE
• Great art made easy: firstly, use the STABILO® woody 3 in 1 to apply various color splashes to the paper. Then paint over and mix the splashes with a damp brush – as if they water colors. Thicker paper is best for painting goo pictures, as it doesn’t get soggy so easily.
STENCIL TECHNIQUE
• A simple technique for effective contours and exciting color gradients: firstly, color the edges of the stencil with your STABILO® woody 3 in 1. Then put the stencil on the paper and rub the color from the stencil onto the paper.
HAIRDRYER TECHNIQUE
• Blow dry the lead of the pencil – this changes the structure of the color. The soft, malleable color can now be applied to the paper. By smearing the colors, you will create wonderful, flowing color gradients. For optimum results, use the hairdryer on medium level/level 2 or max. 60 °C.

At STABILO, we source ISCC PLUS certified bio-based plastic under the mass balance approach. This is great because it replaces fossil fuels like crude oil or natural gas in plastics with bio-circular materials. Bio-circular material is biowaste, e.g. used cooking oil or wood waste from the paper or forestry industries. Bio-based feedstocks use less CO2 than fossil fuels. This is good for our climate and reduces the carbon footprint of our products. Since 2025, STABILO has been sourcing ISCC PLUS certified bio-based plastic for point 88.
