Advantages of Renewable Energy Sources
One major benefit of renewable energy is its ability to lower electricity generation costs.Unlikefossilfuels, renewableenergy costs are not dependent on global commodity markets. The production process of renewable energy requires significant capital investment, but it offers a more consistent and cheaper source of energy in the long term. Renewable energy generation capacity growth has been increasing at an average rate of about 8% annually worldwide; therefore, it is the fastest-growing source of power. The International Renewable Energy Agency noted that solar and wind technologies decreased remarkably from 2010 to 2020, making them more competitive with fossil fuels.
dioxide emissions and reducing pollutants that result in illnesses and healthcare costs. Renewable energy technologies can reduce greenhouse gas emissions by nearly 5.5 Gt CO2 annually by 2030 and adopting lowcarbon technology means creating new markets for renewable energy-efficient technologies.
high chance of breaking leading to glass being with your cannabis. Once dried with dangerous drying agents and shipped to a dealer. That then sells it to any customer, for a higher price compared to the production cost.
Renewable energy investments also have the potential to create new jobs and stimulate economic growth. The renewable energy sector employed over 11 million people globally in 2018, with the US, China, and Brazil leading in renewable job creation. Additionally, moving towards renewable energy will enhance the manufacturing industry's productivity, creating more job opportunities in operations, installation, and maintenance. For instance, several countries' offshore wind projects have produced thousands of jobsattractingnewinvestments.According to research by the Ocean Renewable EnergyActionCoalition, theoffshorewind sector's growth could potentially create 1.4 million jobs worldwide by 2030.
Renewable energy sources also reduce greenhouse gas emissions, creating longterm environmental costs. Renewable energy sources are on track to contribute to over50%ofglobalpower,surpassing coalfired power plants. The benefits of renewable energy include lowering carbon
Embracing renewable energy sources also promotes energy independence, reducing dependency on importing fossil fuels. Countries that depend on imported fossil fuels often face logistic challenges in getting sufficient fuel, leading to energy cost unpredictability. By embracing renewable energy, nations can reduce dependence on other energy markets, enabling them to meet theirenergyneedsindependently.Renewable energy sources can contribute to energy security, particularly in urbanising countries.
In conclusion, embracing renewable energy sources has great economic, social, and environmental benefits that should not be overlooked. With renewable energy now comparable in cost to fossil fuels, investments in renewable energy are vital to address climate challenges and secure our energy future. Renewable energy not only reduces energy expenditures but also generates jobs, accelerates economic growth, and promotes energy efficiency, resulting in reliable, low-carbon, and sustainable energy.
Medical grade cannabis
~Only private specialised firms and pharmacies would bepermitted to sell cannabis.
The fact that firms and pharmacies have the license to produce and sell the cannabis there would be a standard to meet, contrary to the skunk cannabis commonly being sold in the UK. The current weed being sold is often produces in warehouses, unsupervised and in dangerous conditions surrounded by dangerous chemicals to mask the smell and lightbulbs on 16 hours a day with a

These consumers are often naive to the conditionsofhow theweed wasproduced. However, ifthe weedwas producedbythe firms and pharmacies the product would be planted, grown, cultivated, dried, packaged and sold safely. All the stagesof production would be placed on the packaging. despite killing braincells, potential breathing problems and in rare cases schizophrenia cannabis can be used medically to treat epilepsy, chemotherapy, and many other medical conditions.
The production of cannabis would be a large operation to satisfy the consumers andthuswouldCreatetensofthousandsof jobs for the unemployed, the weed would probably be produced on fields and be dried in warehouses. It would as a side effect also lower the production of other recreational drugs; this is because less warehouses would be available to produce these other drugs.
This controlled production and selling would only be effective if the pharmacies matched or lowered the price to run dealers out of the business. Thus, the legalisation of weed would contribute to the economy and undoubtably lead to a degree of economic growth: more employment, taxation on all cannabis being produced and sold, contributing an estimated 2.8 billion to the UK’s GDP.

How did Kanye West’s antisemitic tweets impact him and his collaborator’s footing in the economy?
Kanye West used to be one of the wealthiest rappers in the world, a title which he earned both from the music and the fashion industry. This completely changed when, after being removed from Instagram, Kanye took to Twitter to share incrediblyantisemiticviews, sayinghewas going to go ‘death con 3 on Jewish people’ and that he can ‘see good things about Hitler’. Kanye was soon removed from Twitter in addition to Instagram and was hastily dropped by countless brands he had partnered with, including Adidas, Gap, TJ Maxx, CAA, Footlocker and MRC Entertainment.
by one of the most famous and fashionable rappers in the world.
Customers were also incredibly impressed with the quality of the shoes; the Yeezy 350’s in particular were a high quality and extremely popular product, with the midsole encased in a ribbedmold and the upper layer being prime knit, making them breathable and comfortable. This constant demand led to the Yeezy revenue earning Kanye £3.4 billion, and the brand earning $42 billion in revenue each year. So, when the deal between Adidas and Kanye was frantically cancelled, bothKanyeandAdidashavebeen leftinthedirt.ItisestimatedthatAdidaswill lose £1.06 billion in annual sales and $240 million in operating profit for the year, and they still have leftover Yeezy stock worth $500 million.
"Removing Ye from the Billionaires”
from having Kanye as a designer and his fans as the consumers. Kanye has been dropped by Footlocker too, with workers being instructed to place the stock at the back of the shop until further notice. Kanye was also working outside the fashion industry on a documentary with MRC entertainment, which has been shelved, the company saying they ‘cannot support any content that amplifies his platform’. TJ Maxx has stopped buying Kanye’s products for resale, and even Kanye’s divorce lawyers, Cohen Clair Lans Greifer Thorpe and Rottenstreich LLP, have decided to stop working with him.
“After a thorough review, the company has taken the decision to terminate the partnership with Ye immediately, end production of Yeezy branded products and stop all paymentsto Ye and hiscompanies. AdidaswillstoptheAdidasYeezybusiness with immediate effect.”
This statement, although necessary to make, wasverydifficultforAdidas.Adidas began their collaboration with Kanye in December 2013, when it was announced that they would be working with Kanye for a footwear line, which manifested into ‘Yeezy’s’. The first pair of Yeezy’s were released in 2015 and retailed for $399 per pair but were often sold for much more as ‘sneakerheads’boughtupstocktoresellfor higher prices. The allure of the shoes, which continued to be dropped in different colourways and sell out almost immediately, obviously lay in the fact that they were being designed and represented
As a result of this significant loss of business, Kanye’s title as a billionaire has been removed, according to Forbes Magazine and CNN. He has been reduced to $400 million which, yes, is still a lot of money, but it doesn’t compare to his original fortune. Forbes says that Kanye’s income now comes from real estate, cash, his music catalogue and a 5% stake in his ex-wife Kim Kardashian’s clothing brand SKIMS.

"Antisemitism, racism and hate in any form are inexcusable and not tolerated in accordancewithourvalues.Onbehalfofour customers, employees and shareholders, we are partnering with organisations that combat hate and discrimination,"
“Balenciaga has no longer any relationship nor any plans for future projects related to this artist.”
Kanye has also been removed from affiliation with Gap, whom he was in a design partnership with; a contract which was supposed to last ten years. Like Adidas, Gap would have made beneficial profit

“After discussion with our filmmakers and distribution partners, we made the decision not to proceed with any distribution for our recently completed documentary about Kanye West. We cannot support any content that amplifies his platform”
“At TJX we do not tolerate discrimination, harassment, or hate of any kind. We have instructed our buying teams not to purchase this merchandise for sale in any of our stores globally,”
“Will not be supporting any future Yeezy productdrops, andwehaveinstructedour retail operators to pull any existing product from our shelves and digital sites.”

Kanye’s problem now, is not only his crippling money supply but where else he can take his brand. It is reported that Kanye tried to take Yeezys to Sketchers, but he entered the Sketchers headquarters in Manhattan Beach unannounced and filming without permit; he was escorted out. Kanye may still be able to make money out of his scandal, with Adidas agreeing to sell the excessstock of Yeezys they have. The agreement is solely to sell excess inventory and they have no plans on future collaborations, like many of the other brands that have released statement.

HOW IS THE UK RECESSION EXPECTED TO BE SHORTER AND LESS SEVERE?
The UK narrowly avoided falling into recession in 2022 but is set to enter a recession this year, which will hopefully be shorter and less severe than previously thought, according totheBankof England
Bank of England Governor Andrew Baileystates:“Wethinkthatinflation will come downrapidly”. However, the country is not forecast to bounce back to pre-covid levels until 2026 which he states was “extraordinary”.
THE BANK ENGLAND STATES: “The slump is now expected to last just over a year rather than almost two as energy bills fall and price rises slowly. Asaresult, fewerpeoplearelikelytolose their jobs, but the economy remains fragile”.
Social and Economic Benefits
Cannabis in recent times has been used mainly as a recreational drug. There is an underground black market for this highly requested drug, the illicit cannabis market is estimated to be worth £2bn a year. Cannabis is the most used recreational drug in England followed by cocaine and MDMA. 29.6 percent of people in England and Wales aged between 16 and 59 had used cannabis at least once during their lifetime, with between 1.5 and 2 million people in the UK smoke weed at least once a month. 1.2 million weekly cannabis smokers in Britain. 75% of these smokers mixing in tobacco with their cannabis. Furthermore 7 out of 10 weed smokers are under the age of 39 with an average of 3 out of 10 cannabis smokers being bellow the age of 18. Now despite cannabis being seen as a drug in the UK it does have some serious health benefits, seen by thefact that it can be used medically and is legalised in 47 other countries/states.

HOW WILL IT AFFECT US?
Rrecession occurs when the economy shrinks for two consecutive quarters. According to the ONS (office for national statistics), during the first quarterly estimate the British economy did not grow or contract over the last three months of 2022, after shrinking by 0.2% from July to September.

The slump is now expected to last just over a year rather than almost two, as energy bills fall and price rise slowly. As a result, fewer people are likely to lose their jobs, but the economy remains fragile, warned the Bank. The forecast comes as interest rates were raised to 4% from 3.5%, their highest level in over 14 years. Additionally, overall, GDP increased by an estimated 4% over the course of 2022, following a 7.6% expansion in 2021 as the economy rebounded from the Covid-19 pandemic.
Although the recession is not expected to last as long nor be as severe, there are still some major risks which could affect the public. For example, some people may lose their jobs, leading to a rise in unemployment.Graduatesandschool leaverscouldfindithardertogettheir first job. As well as this, others may findithardertobepromoted, ortoget big enough pay rises to keep pace with price increases.
However, the pain of a recession is typically not felt equally across society, and inequality can increase. Some people may in fact benefit from a recession; costs are often lower for capitalprojectsandcapitalequipment within a recession, and they may give firmstime todevelopandmarket new goods and services that will sell well during the recovery.
