2016 has gone well for the region so far with several successes at Associate level, of which at the time of going to press, Nancy MacArthur ARPS and Christine Eltherington ARPS are two. Most find that attending events in the region help them achieve distinctions, as well as being fun. We selected the forty images for the members’ exhibition at the AGM. Congratulations to those who were selected. Photoforum and Advisory days run with the support of the panel members who give up their time freely. I would like to thank Roy Robertson HonFRPS, Sandy Cleland FRPS, Peter Paterson FRPS, Hazel Mason FRPS, Karen Berry FRPS, Faye Yerbury FRPS, Trevor Yerbury FRPS and Douglas May FRPS for there recent and ongoing support. Our main event of next year will be the Dunfermline Spring Weekend, with 8 speakers, a meal and successful Fellowship showings. Please mark this day in your calendar – May 20th to 21st 2017. More details to follow. Special Travel Day With Leo Palmer FRPS

The Travel Panel Chair, Leo Palmer FRPS, will discuss what make a travel panel, referring to successful travel distinction panels and his own images. In the afternoon potential associate travel panels will be shown and given advice. He will be supported by a new travel panel member James Frost FRPS. Cost: £15 if bringing work (£18 non-members), £10 if observing (£12 – non-member).
