“I learnt so many skills at Royal Holloway that I use now in my role as a Heritage Offi cer and will use when I become a social worker. One of the most important was collaboration, as in my previous working life I was good at working in a small team. I also learnt how to focus my creativity, and a lot of other skills like how to prioritise emotionally. I’d been out of education for a long time so I also picked up IT skills that help me navigate my way around the diff erent systems used in social work. Royal Holloway also made me recognise the value of a CV. Employers seriously do read them and each little section communicates something about yourself. I didn’t value it as highly before but I consider it as important as my clothes now!”
