Volunteering Opportunities
Our dedicated volunteer teams are an integral part of helping us create unforgettable experiences for our diverse audiences. If you are aged 18 and over, have the time to give back to your local theatre, or are looking for a way to gain professional work experience, why not consider volunteering? Our Volunteer Stewards perform a vital role at The Core, making sure that our audiences have a positive, enjoyable and safe visit from the moment they enter the venue. We’re looking to grow the department, so if you love live theatre, enjoy working with the public and thrive being part of a busy and welcoming team, why not contact volunteer@ thecorecorby.com and find out more. Our Volunteer Stage Technicians work alongside professional Technical and Front of House teams, supporting the smooth running of performances, rehearsals and events by assisting with basic stage, lighting, sound and get-in/get-out tasks. No prior technical experience is required. If this sounds like an opportunity for you, contact phil@thecorecorby.com for an informal chat today.

Creative Opportunities
BFI Film Academy 2026 Delivered over the course of 3 months, our BFI Film Academy courses have been a perfect opportunity for young film lovers aged 16–19 (or up to 25 with an EHC Plan) to get hands-on experience through a fun, practical course. Participants have learned how to make a short film from start to finish, including development, production and editing, and even learned how to network to get their first role in the film industry; they were even able to attend the premiere screening of their own film! One program graduate told us “I enjoyed my course very much, am grateful for the opportunity and I feel it could open a lot of doors for me.” We hope to run this course again in 2026; if you want to be the first to find out about it, visit www.thecorecorby.com/british-film-institute-corby-academy to register your details. Open to non-university students only.
Core Voices If you’ve got ideas, we’re listening. If you’re aged 12-19, this is your chance to shape what happens at The Core! We want to hear what creative activities, workshops or sessions you think should be offered. Be part of Core Voices and help make The Core a place that reflects you! Find out more at www.thecorecorby.com/core-voices

Education
Here at The Core at Corby Cube, we strongly believe in the value of arts engagement and the positive impact it has on children and young people. This academic year, we are working as partners with three brilliant organisations to further enhance our education offer, alongside our very own bespoke Education Partnership Programme.
Royal Ballet and Opera Through our partnership with the RBO, KS1-3 teachers can take part in a free certified CPD session and bring their class group along to a celebration Create and Sing event taking place in March 2027. This year, the programme will help teachers and pupils explore story, character and emotion through song, inspired by iconic operas such as The Magic Flute and Carmen, using accessible, confidence-building approaches to vocal learning. The next CPD date is Tue 17 November.
Moving Together The Moving Together School Collective is an exciting, county-wide dance programme designed to ignite creativity, build confidence, and connect Northamptonshire schools through movement and performance. Schools are supported to form a dance troupe, staff are upskilled through CPD, and the programme culminates in a professional dance showcase at The Core. For further information or to sign up for the programme please email emmasavagemtg@gmail.com.
Royal Shakespeare Company Our partnership with the RSC provides the opportunity for teachers to attend CPD sessions throughout the academic year, while becoming an Associate School also enables a school to be a part of Playmaking Festival at The Core, which is a true celebration of inclusivity and using Shakespeare’s words and stories to bring young people together to perform collaboratively on a professional stage. The next CPD date is Tue 10 November.

Returns And Exchanges
We are unable to exchange or refund tickets after they are purchased, unless an event is cancelled or rescheduled due to circumstances beyond our control, or where there is a material change to the programme of the event.
Respecting Everyone In Our Spaces We have introduced a new set of guidelines to encourage all of our visitors to be respectful and have the best possible time while attending our venues.
Be An Ally: Everyone deserves to feel valued and supported. Racism, homophobia, and other hateful behaviours have no place in our society, and will not be tolerated in our spaces. Enjoy The Show: Be considerate of the performers and the people around you. We love to see you enjoy the shows, it’s why we do what we do. However, if behaviours become obstructive or create an unsafe environment, we will ask that they stop. Forget Your Phone For A While: Switch to silent. Please do not take pictures or film during performances.
