Tue 31 March 8pm: Where is the Body Of Eva Peron?
Since 2018, Writing Doesn’t Have To Be Lonely has been a launchpad for fresh writing, giving writers the chance to hear their work brought to life by actors at an early stage. Whether it’s a brand-new script or a forgotten gem pulled from the drawer, their platform has supported dozens of writers and helped them to shape their stories and sharpen their voices.
These two sharings take things further, giving writers the rare opportunity to collaborate closely with a director and actors over time, refining their work in realtime and taking bold steps from page to stage.
Cassiopeia by Pethrow Gooden blends humour and heartbreak as it follows Peter and his wife as their ordinary life takes an unexpected turn.
Where is the Body of Eva Peron? by Fur Coat and No Knickers uncovers the 26 years it took between the death and the final burial of one of Argentina’s most influential political figure heads, Evita.

Do you home educate your children and young people? Would you like to find out the latest news from The Core about opportunities such as workshops, sessions and suitable shows? If so, then please scan the QR code to register your interest or email getinvolved@thecorecorby.com. We also welcome suggestions about the kind of activity you would like to see more of!

With thanks to revenue generated through Friends & Patron memberships, and donations from customers and Business Supporters, we are able to offer our Core Create and Sparks sessions at a reduced fee of £50 (usually £80). We also offer a sibling discount, so if you have two siblings taking part in activities, the termly fee for the second child/young person would only be £25.
For families living with financial hardship, we would not want the termly fees to prevent your child or young person being able to take part, so we have a limited amount of free, bursary-funded places. Please email getinvolved@ thecorecorby.com for further information or to apply for a bursary.

Delivered over the course of 3 months, our BFI Film Academy courses have been a perfect opportunity for young film lovers aged 16–19 (or up to 25 with an EHC Plan) to get hands-on experience through a fun, practical course. Participants have learned how to make a short film from start to finish, including development, production and editing, and even learned how to network to get their first role in the film industry; they were even able to attend the premiere screening of their own film! One program graduate told us “I enjoyed my course very much, am grateful for the opportunity and I feel it could open a lot of doors for me.”
We hope to run this course again in 2026; if you want to be the first to find out about it, visit www.thecorecorby.com/british-film-institute-corby-academy to register your details. Open to non-university students only.
If you’ve got ideas, we’re listening. If you’re aged 12–19, this is your chance to shape what happens at The Core! We want to hear what creative activities, workshops or sessions you think should be offered. What would you like to get involved with that you don’t already see in this brochure or the Get Involved section of the website? Are you into something creative that we’re not doing yet?

The Core continues to offer our creative and dynamic partnership programme for schools and colleges.
Partner schools benefit from a bespoke programme of workshops, reduced ticket prices for shows and access to free CPD and events. Schools can join the partnerships at Bronze, Silver and Gold levels.
We have a wide-ranging workshop menu that schools can select from. All workshops are delivered by industry professionals to support a variety of areas of the curriculum. We can also support with enrichment activity, career days and all aspects of creative learning in schools.

Joining the Associate Schools Programme with the RSC is free for schools and enables staff to access CPD training in using the rehearsal room method in their classrooms, proven to improve students’ vocabulary and their understanding and engagement with Shakespeare.

Taking part in termly meetings, Associate Schools share their learnings with other teachers, receive support and advice and also have access to reduced price ticket offers on First Encounters shows and visits to Stratford Upon Avon.
We are excited to be creating our first Playmaking Festival this academic year; alongside schools that are part of the Associate Schools programme, we will be working together to perform The Tempest on our main stage in July 2026.
To be part of this exciting programme, please contact us via email. The Spring CPD date is Wed 4 February. For more information or to book, please visit our website.
Schools across Northamptonshire come together to celebrate their dance achievements as part of the MT Schools Collective.
This dynamic programme brings movement, creativity and expression into school and onto the stage. With expert guidance, CPD for teachers, and Arts Award qualifications, this collective provides ongoing support for dance in Primary, Secondary and SEND schools.
If your school would like to join the programme, why not get in touch today?
To register your school’s interest or for more information about any of the above, please email lindsey@thecorecorby.com

We recommend booking online for the quickest, easiest check out.
Online: 24 hours a day at www.thecorecorby.com/whats-on
By telephone: 01536 470470
Tuesday-Saturday 10am-6pm
In person:
Our Ticket Office is open Tue & Sat 10am – 5pm and Wed – Fri 10am – 6pm, or until 15 minutes after the last show of the day commences. When a performance takes place outside of these days, our Ticket Office opens one hour before the start time, and closes 15 minutes after.
Our Ticket Office will ask when you book if you would like to receive further information from us about The Core’s events and activities. We will then record your wishes and use them to inform what you receive from us in future. You can update these preferences at any time by accessing your account via our website or by calling the Ticket Office. All data collected is in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation 18. Full information on how we use it can be found at www.thecorecorby.com/about-us/privacy.
The Core is committed to being a family friendly organisation. Some of the facilities we offer to make your visit run as smoothly as possible include booster seats, child-friendly food and beverages and, of course, a warm friendly welcome. Many of our family shows offer a self-led, pre-show craft activity.
Concessions are available for selected shows for Under 16s, 60+, Students, Jobseekers, Disabled Patrons and Companions.
Additional concessions are available for certain shows, including family tickets (max 2 adults) – full details are highlighted on individual show entries and at www.thecorecorby.com
A range of great discounts and other benefits are available to Groups & Schools. To find out more about our group rates for bookings of 10+ and how we can make your visit as a group hassle free, please contact our dedicated Groups Advisor, Gillian, using gillian.lockwood@thecorecorby.com
We charge a £2 per-transaction fee for telephone and website bookings of £15 and over. This does not apply in person or to Friends, Groups and Disabled Patrons. As ticket revenue is divided between many different parties, an increase in ticket prices may not necessarily benefit The Core. By adding a small transaction charge, we ensure that every penny of this goes to your local venue and the projects we run with local communities and young people.
We are unable to exchange or refund tickets after they are purchased, unless an event is cancelled or rescheduled due to circumstances beyond our control, or where there is a material change to the programme of the event.
We have introduced a new set of guidelines to encourage all of our visitors to be respectful and have the best possible time while attending our venues.
Be An Ally: Everyone deserves to feel valued and supported. Racism, homophobia, and other hateful behaviours have no place in our society, and will not be tolerated in our spaces.
Enjoy The Show: Be considerate of the performers and the people around you. We love to see you enjoy the shows, it’s why we do what we do. However, if behaviours become obstructive or create an unsafe environment, we will ask that they stop.
Forget Your Phone For A While: Switch to silent. Please do not take pictures or film during performances.
The Core at Corby Cube is a registered charity. Charity No. 1139035
