Celebrating 15 years of impact through our Get Involved programme
From being a young person acting in the first ever show at The Core to then come back as an artist for the last 11 years has been phenomenal. To support young people to deliver transferable skills and see a different way of viewing careers in the arts has been an honour.”
Participant and practitioner
For the first time, [our son] has found his placesomewhere he feels seen, valued, and confident. It’s the first group he’s ever asked to go back to, and that alone speaks volumes. We first discovered Project M through a past performance, and [he] was instantly drawn to the welcoming and friendliness of the young boys on stage. We knew then that this was where he was meant to be.”
Parent of participant
[My favourite memory of being involved at The Core was] working with an amazing group of writers, actors and directors. My writing felt real when I saw them perform my play.” Writer
It means so much to me to be able to give back to the community and foster the next generation of performers. More than that, it is just lovely for children to have a safe space to be creative - out from behind a desk, developing skills for life! Long live the arts!” Practitioner
[The Core] encouraged me to find my voice at this late stage!” Participant
Working with The Core has been both a joy and a privilege. Personally, I’ve been inspired by the passion and commitment of the team, and professionally, it’s deepened my understanding of the vital role that inclusive, community-rooted arts spaces play in nurturing talent.”

Measuring an impressive seven metres in diameter, Luke Jerram’s GAIA provides a rare opportunity to experience a three-dimensional perspective of Earth on a grand scale. Internally lit and using detailed NASA imagery*, audiences are invited to wonder as they stand beneath this breathtaking sculpture suspended in The Core theatre.
GAIA evokes the Overview Effect, a term coined by author Frank White to describe the awe for our planet that astronauts feel when seeing Earth from space. It triggers an understanding of the interconnection of all life, and reminds us of our shared responsibility for taking care of the environment.
Enhancing the experience is a specially commissioned surround sound composition by BAFTA awardwinning composer Dan Jones, played alongside the installation.
Tickets from £1.50
For a full list of viewing times, visit www.thecorecorby.com/GAIA
GAIA has been created in partnership with the Natural Environment Research Council (NERC), Bluedot and the UK Association for Science and Discovery Centres. *The imagery for the artwork has been compiled from Visible Earth series, NASA.

Outspoken, Catholic and chronically confused by British small talk, Polish comedian Karolka takes the mic with a holy trinity of wit, wisdom and wild culture shocks.
Joining her is Joshua, a sharp, award-winning comedian from India. With stories from the Tube to the pub, he breaks down what it takes to go from outsider to insider in a country where queuing is sacred and emotional repression is a national sport.
In this hilarious and heartfelt double bill, Karolka and Joshua explore the absurdity of British life through the eyes of two outsiders, one raised on rosaries, the other on Bollywood and butter chicken.
Karolka navigates culture clash through stories of dating Brits, misreading social cues, and trying to keep her soul intact in a land obsessed with weather and Wetherspoons. Joshua brings clever, observational takes on everyday British quirks, delivered with dry wit and sharp insight.
Together they deliver a confessional comedy hour that’s devout, defiant and deeply funny.

We can’t wait to see what the next 15 years bring, and we hope that you will continue to champion the work we do for years to come. Here are some ways that you can support our work.

We are unable to exchange or refund tickets after they are purchased, unless an event is cancelled or rescheduled due to circumstances beyond our control, or where there is a material change to the programme of the event.
We have introduced a new set of guidelines to encourage all of our visitors to be respectful and have the best possible time while attending our venues.
Be An Ally: Everyone deserves to feel valued and supported. Racism, homophobia, and other hateful behaviours have no place in our society, and will not be tolerated in our spaces.
Enjoy The Show: Be considerate of the performers and the people around you. We love to see you enjoy the shows, it’s why we do what we do. However, if behaviours become obstructive or create an unsafe environment, we will ask that they stop.
Forget Your Phone For A While: Switch to silent. Please do not take pictures or film during performances.
