Dear Marin Catholic Families, Alumni and Friends,
We hope you are enjoying a wonderful fall with your families. This year MC reached so many historical milestones for our community including the completion of the 25-year Campus Vision Plan with the opening of the new St. Albert Science Center and new indoor Sophomore Hall. Please make sure to read the following pages so you can personally thank those benefactors who made that dream possible.
Another long-awaited milestone was reached on October 10 when Marin Catholic hosted San Marin High School in our school’s first ever game under the lights! It was without a doubt the most spirited event in our school’s history with nearly 3,000 spectators on hand and a rocking student section, all in neon colors, that helped Marin Catholic to a resounding 33-14 victory. A special thanks to Dick Ghilotti ‘64, Brian Ongaro ‘86, Riley Genazzi, Ghilotti Construction, and DG Foundation President Greg Choma for their incredible support. We also offer a standing ovation to the Lights Committee Team who worked tirelessly over the past two years to make this happen. Those individuals include Lights Chair Chris Roeder ‘89, Drew Gordon, Ross Guehring ‘98, Board of Regents Chair Kevin Sharps, and Anthony Spinale. We also tip our cap to Michael Bentivoglio, Lisa Mango, Jennifer Skinner and others who championed the fight in previous years. Their work, support and consultancy was invaluable.
While change is always afoot, what remains the same is the strength of the Marin Catholic mission and our community. The path ahead may be uncertain, but our faith and prayers guide us, confident that our Wildcat spirit will see us through.

Annual Fund
Marin Catholic’s Annual Fund helps bridge the gap between tuition and the full cost of a Marin Catholic education. Tuition alone does not cover the full cost of an MC education and we rely on the generosity of our entire community to provide unrestricted dollars to our operating budget, impacting everything at MC.
Special Events & Grand Sponsors
Grand Sponsors make an underwriting gift over and above their Annual Fund contribution to support community events and programs, benefiting all students. Last year’s Grand Sponsors underwrote such events as the Auction, Boosters Crab Feed, Faith and Fatherhood, Sip Shop and Mingle, and the Art Extravaganza. This fund also helps cover Athletic and Art Department needs that arise during the year.
Directed Gifts
Directed gifts fund specific programs and initiatives at MC, such as scholarships and other identified areas of need. Restricted gifts can also be made to specific Athletic teams or to the Art Department, after a gift to the Annual Fund has been made.
Endowments
Gifts to the endowment provide for the financial sustainability of MC now and into the future. Earned interest from the principal of this permanently endowed fund ensures tuition costs remain affordable and provides direct relief to families in need of tuition assistance.

Grandparents and Special Friends Day —
September 17, 2024
We welcomed our grandparents and special friends to campus for a beautiful Mass, followed by a lovely lunch on the Senior Deck and in the Saint John Paul II Student Center. It was a heartwarming day of connection, and tradition. Grandparents and friends had the opportunity to catch a glimpse of their grandchildren’s high school experience. Sip, Shop & Mingle — November 13, 2024
Over 300 MC community members supported our Sip, Shop, and Mingle Boutique that was held in our Saint John Paul II Student Center. It was a festive night with over 30 different vendors offering everything from beautiful handbags, eyewear, jewelry, clothing, and tasty treats. While this event raised funds to benefit our students and programs, it was a wonderful community event that brought parents, friends, MC staff, and alumni together to kick off the Christmas season.
1st Annual Christmas Tree Lighting — December 4, 2024
Our first annual Christmas Tree Lighting brought together more than 500 friends, family, alumni, and students for a magical evening of community. Guests enjoyed caroling, cocoa, cookies, and festive treats, all while celebrating the joy of the season. The highlight of the night was the lighting of one of the largest Christmas trees in Marin County, which shone brightly as a symbol of our pirited community.
President’s Dinner — December 9, 2024
Marin Catholic recognized its generous President’s Circle benefactors ($7,000 or more) at the annual President’s Dinner, which was held at Buckeye Roadhouse. Marin Catholic took over the entire restaurant where the community was personally thanked by President Tim Navone. Donors were able to visit with many different members of the community while hearing about the impact of their generosity.
Crab Feed — February 1, 2025
Nearly 300 Patrons, Boosters, and MC community members enjoyed a delicious family-style Italian feast at the annual MC Crab Feed, featuring fresh crab, clams, mussels, pasta, eggplant parmesan, Caesar salad, and tiramisu. The event was made possible through the incredible generosity and hard work of Jeff and Theresa Figone (Laura ‘21) and their extended family. It was a wonderful evening celebrating the MC community and supporting our student-athletes, performers, and artists.
Auction — March 15, 2025
The Black and White Ball was a tremendous success, thanks to the incredible support of our community. More than 400 guests joined us for an unforgettable evening, with over 100 students lending their talents to make the night truly special. Our Fund-A-Need, Spaces & Faces, raised essential funds that benefit the entire MC community, including creating new space for students to gather, upgrading classroom hallways, and helping more families experience the transformative gift of an MC education. We are deeply grateful for the generosity, spirit, and commitment of our community in making last year’s event such a resounding success.

Fall Play & Rising Stars Event — October 24-27, 2024
In October 2024, the MC Arts Department kicked off the year with a vibrant Double Header celebrating student creativity. The evening began with the 2nd Annual Rising Stars Showcase, featuring artwork from Art 1, Photo 1, and Ceramics 1 students, along with live music and refreshments. Immediately after, audiences enjoyed the opening night of The Canterville Ghost—a whimsical, comedic adaptation of the Oscar Wilde classic. Together, these events highlighted the talent, creativity, and spirit of our student artists and performers.
Fall Concert Series — November 20-22, 2024
Last November, the MC Performing Arts Department presented the Fall Concert Series: From the Heart, highlighting the talents of Contemporary Music and Music Production students. Over three nights, audiences experienced diverse performances, including the new Boiler Room—a high-energy, DJ-led event by Music Production students—and theatre-style concerts by Contemporary I and II ensembles exploring Songs of the Heart. Girls Basketball: Historic CIF State Championship Win
Marin Catholic Girls Waterpolo
For the first time in program history, Girls Waterpolo participated in the NorCal Regional Championships. The team clinched the NCS Division 2 Champion First place spot for the first time in 25 years and also finished 5th in the MCAL Division!
Marin Catholic Girls Lacrosse: MCAL Champions
Girls Lacrosse finished 3rd in the regular season and won the MCAL Championship! They were seeded #4 in NCS Division 1.
The 2024-25 Winter Season came to a very exciting end with the Girls Basketball Team winning the CIF State Championship game in Sacramento against Mater Dei Catholic. The day started out with a surprise sendoff for the team. The entire school lined up to wish the team well as they boarded the bus to the Golden 1 stadium, home to the Sacramento Kings. When all was said and done, the ladies came away victorious for only the second time in MC’s 75 year history. Prior to their amazing win, the team had finished another outstanding regular season and made the MCAL Championship for the 6th straight year. The girls were seeded 3rd in the North Coast Section Division 2 playoffs and won their 4th consecutive NCS Championship in the highest division in school history

This year, MC reached so many historical milestones for our community including the completion of the 25-year Campus Vision Plan with the opening of the new St. Albert Science Center. The St. Albert Science Center has been constructed with state-of-the-art learning labs for physics and chemistry, and the new Wonder Lab so all members of our community (teachers, alumni and students) have a dedicated place to explore non-curricular science exploration.
Lois and Frank Noonan Family Hall
Finally, the former dark and outdated Sophomore Hall has been transformed into the modern, indoor and light-filled Lois and Frank Noonan Family Hall with relaxation pods for student bonding.
Field Lights
Another long-awaited milestone was reached on October 10, 2025 when Marin Catholic hosted San Marin High School in our school’s first ever game under the lights! It was without a doubt the most spirited event in our school’s history with nearly 3,000 spectators on hand and a rocking student section, all in neon colors, that helped Marin Catholic to a resounding 33-14 victory. A special thanks to Dick Ghilotti ‘64, Brian Ongaro ‘86, Riley Genazzi, Ghilotti Construction, and DG Foundation President Greg Choma for their incredible support. We also offer a standing ovation to the Lights Committee Team who worked tirelessly over the past two years to make this happen. Those individuals include Lights Chair Chris Roeder ‘89, Drew Gordon, Ross Guehring ‘98, Board of Regents Chair Kevin Sharps, and Anthony Spinale. We also tip our cap to Michael Bentivoglio, Lisa Mango, Jennifer Skinner and others who championed the fight in previous years. Their work, support and consultancy was invaluable.

This year’s Baccalaureate ceremony was especially meaningful as it marked the return of the service to our own campus, held in Fretias Memorial Gymnasium on Friday, May 30. The occasion was made even more memorable by the presence of our former MC president, Bishop Thomas A. Daly, who presided over the Mass alongside MC Chaplain Father Andrew Ginter. As always, Father Ginter. delivered a heartfelt homily, reminding our graduates that no matter where life takes them, this will always be their home.

Richard Ghilotti Family Field
Marin Catholic’s Graduation was held on campus this year, offering a meaningful and memorable conclusion to the Class of 2025’s high school journey. Our 195 graduates and their families gathered on the Richard Ghilotti Family Field in the Dino Ghilotti Motta Stadium. President Tim Navone and Principal Chris Valdez presented diplomas.
A special ceremony highlight was Co-Valedictorians Vivienne Chador and Robert Hadsell’s delivery of a dual valedictory address. We are incredibly proud of our graduates, who together earned over 1,000 college and university acceptances and contributed more than 28,539 Christian Service hours to communities in need, both locally and globally.
