Here at Hilton Sandestin Beach, teamwork is truly one of our greatest assets. Our staff is always willing to lend a helping hand wherever it’s needed, and our banquet department has seen that tenfold in the last few years. Most recently, we had a 150-person function that was set and ready to go the evening before. The next morning, we found out the entire function was being moved to a different ballroom. Since everything was already set to go, and with the short period of time we had to make this change, our banquet manager reached out to the rest of our hotel staff for assistance. When the time came, we were overwhelmed by the amount of support we received from our team. This incredible display of teamwork is one of the many reasons why I enjoy working here so much.

Working at the front gate is a job that can be both fun and grueling. While some days are long and hot, other days go by quickly with the breeze, thanks to our awesome guests that come through. My role is typically the first interaction our guests have here on the property, and I love being able to make families laugh as they come through our gates. If I can’t make them laugh, I am not doing my job to the best of my abilities. Keeping our property safe while also creating lasting memories is what working security in hospitality is all about!
