Fellow Tablers, As the year draw to a close and we move into the festive season, we can be very proud as we look back to what we achieved as a collective. Well done, you have touched many lives and made a big difference in the situations of a many people. I will mention it again, I am in a very privileged position receiving the reports and images that captures the special moments. I bring to you the seventh edition of the Inkundla Magazine, November 2023. The edition is dedicated to ARSTA 2024, hosted by South Cape Area in Mosselbay. From the President Fellow Tablers, I find it hard to belief that we are already in November, the last 7 months since ARTSA has literally flown past. It is great to see everyone taking part in the November Campaign and creating awareness for mental health. I was able to visit the South Cape Summer Conference in Mossel Bay and to do a site visit for ARTSA 2024 with our convener, Wentzel Stewart, our VP, Antonie Smit and the convening team. This Artsa promises to be the best ever and everyone can stay onsite for the entire extended weekend. Robertson 115 hosted a great WPA October conference and the Paarl 44 tablers hosted an exceptional 3rd Assco in Paarl that will be remembered by all for years to come. We certainly also have to give credit for the Springboks for winning back-to-back World Cups and becoming the first team ever to win a 4th RWC. The Bok’s motto was Execution above Innovation. that merely boils down to – 1) Developing a plan / strategy. 2) Implementing the plan / strategy 3) Sticking to the plan / strategy and executing it. 4) Not wasting time on irrelevant issues or getting derailed. 5) Trusting the Process and Inspiring others. If we stick to our plan and execute it without getting derailed, we will achieve success in all things we approach. The Bok’s trusted the process and kept to their strategy, no matter how difficult it was and won 3 knock-out games by a single point to ultimately lift the Willaim Webb Ellis for a record 4th time. It is important that we as tablers trust the process, whether it be a plan for a fundraiser, membership plan, branding plan etc, and execute the plan to ultimately achieve our collective goals. Border Area Mid Year Conference Over the past weekend we had the privilege of hosting the Border Area Mid Year Conference at home at Hole In the Wall Hotel. It was a massive success and we were joined by tables from across the country and ARTSA Exec. It was a great weekend of family and fellowship and great fun for everyone. The Ladies went on a tour, while the men had their meeting, to Hole in the Wall. They had a nice walk and enjoyed some fun games along the way. All the ladies enjoyed it and fun was had by all.

What does Table mean to you? My experience so far has been nothing short of amazing. I remember a few months ago, when I was invited to my first Table meeting as a guest. I didn't know what to expect. I was nervous and was going through a particularly rough patch, but the Tablers at number 1 welcomed me with open arms. One of the first things I noticed was the strong sense of camaraderie and solidarity amongst the Tablers; it's something that I had never witnessed or experienced before. Among the diverse group of individuals, I found that the relationships formed here were similar to those of a true brotherhood. The atmosphere fosters unwavering support, respect, and a shared commitment to personal and collective growth. I have witnessed people from different walks of life come together as brothers, forming connections that transcend superficial differences. As I reflect on my journey within this community, I'm reminded that it's more than just a group—it's a family. The bonds formed extend beyond our meetings and events. They are a support system for one another, celebrating each other's achievements and offering a helping hand during challenging times. The sense of belonging and unity within this brotherhood is truly unparalleled. In my time here, I've learned that it's not only about the topics we discuss or the ideas we share but the genuine connections we build. This experience has left an indelible mark on my life, reinforcing the belief that true brotherhood transcends the boundaries of superficiality and that the value of shared commitment is immeasurable. I was introduced to Round Table at the Winter Knights event held in East London, where donating of clothing and blankets granted free entry. I was interested to discover what Round Table stood for, with the help of Jethro Penny and Toby Nzuza I was able to understand what it took to be Tabler and what it all stood for by attending a couple of the meetings. I have had the chance to experience the 41er AGM (Tafel net so Bietjie) and soon after got bumped up from Guest to Pipeliner, before attending my First mid-year function at Hole in the wall with my wife by my side. I am proud to say that I have found my brothers at East London Round Table Number 1 and look forward to contributing to the best of my ability and seeing our Table Grow. Round Table No.1 Pipeliner. Round table Boksburg 17 Area Museum The motion to become the area museum has been voted in and Boksburg 17 is the area museum, we have been planning and working hard in cleaning up the clubhouse and store room to make space for the museum, planning the outlay and putting systems in place. Sifting through the storeroom, history and all the gathered goods in our clubhouse from over the past 30 years has been like a treasure hunt finding stories that are like gems. Preserving the history of our organization is vital, the evolution of Round table is most interesting - constant adoption, adaptations and improvements is what has created Round table we know today. Having a clubhouse a table can call home is something unique in Round Table South Africa, this is evident if you witness an international Tabler visit the clubhouse. A clubhouse plays a major role in creating new memories and preserving our history. We can’t wait to see you at a Round Table Boksburg 17 business meetings and show you what were up too. Winter Knights - Bloem 25 Raising funds to support those who are less fortunate, especially during colder months when necessities and shelter are crucial, can make a significant positive impact on the community. Round Table Bloemfontein 25 is a testament to the power of unity. Recognizing the challenges faced by vulnerable individuals during winter,we combined our strengths to create a formidable force for good. We set out in numbers to collect Clothing, Blankets, non perishable food items. We went out to one of our local shopping centers where we where stationed for the day with an clear objective - We want to make an impactful change.
The vibe was pumping, as this was also the Currie Cup final in Bloemfontein. DJ Whoop Whoop took care of the entertainment on the day and to the community involved by highlighting why we are asking for donations. We had great support from our the community in Bloemfontein on this day, and the items that were raised was above our expectations. Winter Knights shows an commitment to making a positive impact. By spreading warmth of hope on the day, we also shared the same with donating all of the items we raised to House Yade. House Yade is a welfare organization that caters for the elderly in need. They were gladly appreciated by our donation.

Bloem 25 Bingo Fundraiser: A Winning Evening For the Community Bingo nights have long been a cherished way to raise funds for various causes, and when they are executed with creativity and enthusiasm, they can yield tremendous benefits. Such was the case with the recent Roundtable Bloemfontein 25 Bingo fundraiser evening held at Lettie Fouche school. The event not only brought the community together for an enjoyable evening but also generated significant funds that will have a profound impact on the school's future. The Bingo fundraiser evening was an all-around success, thanks to the dedicated efforts of the school's staff, fellow tablers, and the enthusiastic community members. Held in the school's lapa, the event boasted an exciting atmosphere filled with eager participants ready to call out "Bingo!" for a good cause. Here are some of the key elements that made this fundraiser so special: 1. Community Engagement: The event attracted a diverse crowd, including parents, teachers, students, and even local business owners. This communal engagement made the evening a memorable one, showcasing the school's vital role as a hub for the local neighborhood. 2. Fun and Prizes: The Bingo games were expertly organized, with participants vying for a range of exciting prizes generously donated by local businesses and sponsors. The excitement and anticipation were palpable, creating a lively and enjoyable atmosphere. 3. Refreshments and Entertainment: Attendees were treated to delicious food, refreshments, and fellow Tablers; Umpa (Also known as “DJ Whoop Whoop”) providing music for all different genres, and MC Jacques making sure the participants were constantly laughing and having a great time. The social aspect of the event helped foster connections within the community and made the evening even more special. The evening raised a substantial amount of money that will significantly impact the school's future. The funds raised will have several positive effects: 1. Educational Enhancements: A portion of the funds will be allocated to improving educational resources within the school. 2. Extracurricular Activities: The fundraiser's success will enable the school to expand its extracurricular programs, allowing students to explore their interests beyond the classroom. 3. Maintenance and Upgrades: The money raised will be used for the maintenance and renovation of the school's infrastructure. The evening was a resounding success, uniting the local community for an entertaining and purposeful night of fun. Walvis Bay 36 Hosts the Area AGM The February AGM was one for the books. I have to say this because WB36 arranged it. We may be considered the Kaas en Wyn span of the Namibia area, but we know how to party. Those who missed it, shame on you.The idea was to camp at Windpomp 14 and the whole family was invited. Guests arrived on the Friday to setup camp and to test the beer early on. Last man standing was once again up for grabs and it was won by one on the Venter brothers. Lets call him Berlie Venter.
Meeting started 09:00 on Saturday, with a a few gents clearly a bit tired from the night before. Meeting went well and we thought that we would actually end early or on time at least. Then the Pres started talking. And boy can he talk. Two hours later we started with the trophies. Meeting done and dusted, we had a quick lunch, some went for a nap and others went to see the Bulls lose against the Stormers. Evening came, boat races were had, and everyone was merry. Sunday morning arrived faster that than we all had hoped

and the pack up procedure was started. Again, in true WB36 fashion, we were the last to leave. Had a lekker brekkie at the venue, got the rekening, and skedaddled out of there. In all we had 44 people in attendance, excluding the little ones. By Monolito du Toit
Induction dinner from the chair, himself Walvis Walvis Bay 36 In late 2022, RT36 though it a good idea that I should be the chairman for 2023. Truth be told, they actually wanted Joppie, but I manage to wrangle myself into the position. Not sure how Bertus got the gig for Swakop, but I am sure he is the best man for the job. As you all know, 2023 it was decided that we should do the combined induction dinner thing. Leaving everyone with the fear of how long it was going to take. Because these events usually take 4-5 hours per induction table. We were all pleasantly surprised to see that doing the induction dinner for two table takes exactly the same time if not less time than doing a induction dinner for one table. Suffice to say, it was a success, and I believe that all induction dinners will follow suit. People arrive, drinks were drank, speeches were made, food was eaten, jokes were made, drinks were drank, Chairman were inducted, councils were announced, drinks were drank, 41’rs were announced and thanks were given. After the proceedings it was decided that the after party will be held at the WB36 clubhouse. Further drinks were drank and everyone left quite late or should I say quite early. Cancer Association Family Fun Day On 02 September, WB 36 set up a braai stall at cancer awareness event in Walvis Bay.With our resident Joppie, being in charge of making sure the whole event goes of without a hitch. I was ready to assist all by my onesy. To the rescue came Edrich and Christo, who graciously put up their hands to assist with the setup and braai. The night before the event, we had the major task of making Potato salad for 100 odd people. Triggering the great debate of whether or not one should add condensed milk to the mayo or not. To make matter fair, two batches were made, on e with and one without condensed milk. Both going down like mother’s milk, because, be honest, you cant have a braai without a aartappel slaai. With the daunting task of peeling 30kg of potatoes, the Kotzes gratiously put up their hands once more to assist with another process. To tick and a nip in the but, potatoes were peeled and cooked and we only waited for them to cool down.
The Kotze entourage left the du Toit residence at 02:00, because they had to get ready for the following days event.Saturday Sunrise arrived like a phantom in the night, and setup had to begin. Edrich was called to be collect, Christo was on his way from Swakop and Danie was still sleeping. We arrived at the event and realized, we had fridges, we had beer, we had the meat, we had the salad. We had everything. We did not have wood. Entrusting Edrich with my untrustworthy Ford, arrangement were quickly made to get the wood and blitz in order to start the fire. Slowly but surely the smell of braaivleis filled the air and you could clearly see that the interest was high. Especially with WB36 have the only meat stall for the day.It quickly became clear that we had a big problem on our hands. Edrich is a walker. And we did not have a rope to keep him at the stall. pitched having awakened from his slumber 2 hours after his wake – up call and immediately take up the task of sale rep. Regrettably all the stock was not sold, because the children and the old folk had their fill of sweets, pancakes and corn dogs before they reached our stall.But at the least we did some good fellowship, between table and the community and we managed to secure a guest, who is quite eager to join table. All in all, it can be considered that the event was a success, unfortunately cut short by the Walvis Bay winds. It makes one quite proud to see the level of support our community gives the Cancer Association as they raised in access off NAD 100 000 for the day and WB36 being a small part of that. One Night in Asia - Walvis Bay 36 Twas a cold winters evening, not a soul was active in the du Toit household. Suddenly, a loud noise, the wife is shrieking, cats are scattering, children scream. A lightbulb came on, the wife has an idea. Let’s host a sushi night. Before I could utter a word, the WhatsApp invite is out. There is no going back now, we are committed. Again, the wife found a way to make me get off the couch. Where will it be held, clubhouse or our house. Inside or outside. What about the kidz. What will they do, where will they play. What about the weather. These questions in mind wifie, started with the planning. We are to get a tent and have the event outside in the yard. The wind is not going to blow that bad, we can do it. With the eve of the event at hand and with the assistance of one of the shortest men in RTSA, we set up the tent. Holes in the walls and in the interlocks to keep the tent steady. Every possible opening that can allow dust into the tent is closed. Its airtight. No dust will come in. we are sure of it. On the day of the event, early on, tables are set, décor is up, food is order, chef is confirm. Weather looks good. We only need to take a little nap and get ready for the guest to arrive. One hour before the guests arrive, disaster strikes. The tent is not as airtight as we thought, and the light breeze we hoped for turned into a gale force breeze. Everything that is outside must be brought inside and cleaned. Once more with the assistance of Joppie the Shorty and his family, the swicharoo is done. That which was outside is now inside and that which was outside is now inside. Just in time for the guest to arrive. At the peak of the evening, there was a total of 46 people in my living room. All, ready to either learn how to make sushi, have a beer or have some sweet and sour Labrador. The event was so well advertised that we had two guests from Germany specially fly in with heir families, just to attend the evening. A total of 1200 pieces of sushi,120 spring rolls, 6 kg of sweet and sour lab, and 400 dumplings was made. And it was all consumed on the night. Not leaving the hosts with a single piece as doggy bag. After the food was consumed, the lining was ready for the remainder of the available booze. One by one the guests started to leave. Some had to go for a run the next day, and for some it was clear that the legs do wear the pants in the household. We ended the evening with a ‘lekker’ kuier with the 41’ers, who thought that the whisky they were drinking was Jamesson, while it was in fact VAT69. With the wives begging and pleading, Joppie the Shorty and the 41ers’ finally left. Leaving us to clean the what the 46 guest left behind. By Monolito du Toit

BMG 2023 - Northridge 117 It was that time of the year again, BMG time!! This year the Tri-area conference was hosted in Mpumalanga province by WhiteRiver 64. I was unfortunately going to be the only member from my table that will be present for this fun awesome event due to our other members being busy with a table project which is our annual “Kids to the Sea” project. Some of our members were also overseas in Denmark four our numbers tour so we as Northridge 117 were spread quite thin during the month BMG took place.
We ended up making arrangements to sleep at our Northridge 117 guest’s cousin during our time at BMG. Left around 4pm on Friday the 22nd and made our way to Nelspruit. During our way there we made lots of fun random pitstops, because why not?
Now we were set, me, our Northridge 117 guest and the Chairman of Midrand 253.
Early on Saturday we had a leka Breakfast at Wimpy and off we were to BMG. The account meetings were great in so many ways. We were blessed to have Louis Radley association president there along with lots of other awesome folks. Great informative talks as well as some wise words of wisdom were given. One of the ones that stood out for me personally was something Louis Radley said, “while you’re in table, especially if your higher up such as “Area” or higher, inspire others”. It comes down to the fact that when your higher up, you have the ability to inspire others and motivate them. While your able to do it, do it. It doesn’t last forever though so you so do it while your able to. Some gents have the opportunity to do this more than once in their time with Table, others only once if they are lucky. Either way, you should make it count when it happens. Inspire those around you.
A whole week before the event took place, we started planning where we would sleep and who would bring what and in the end it all came together perfectly.
The individual area meetings were also a blast with lots of surprises. People running into meetings in their underwear is just one of many that comes to mind. To many to mention
I decided to invite our Northridge 117 guests along with me and one ended up going with which made this all the more fun as you can image. What an awesome event this is to take a guest on I must say. To make this an even more fun road trip, I invited Midrand 253 to drive with us as well. The more the marrier ey.

The before and after “kuier” sessions always some of the best fellowship you’ll encounter anywhere. As you can imagine, coins were obviously dropped more than once. Some accidently, others maybe not so accidently. Either way, I’ll tell you one thing, dropping a coin at this BMG was a sight to behold. I don’t think I’ve ever seen so many tablers rush to drop a coin and to respond in this manner. It looked like a huge Rugby tackle taking place with everyone storming to drop coins. Was really amazing to see and just really added to the spirit of the event and to the spirit of tabling in general. The meetings were exceptionally well held, as smooth as can be and ended earlier than we expected. This left us with way more time to mingle and kuier. To my brothers in Mpumalanga, WhiteRiver 64 job well done with hosting the 2023 BMG, it was amazing and definitely one for the books. Round Table Port Alfred 177 Rowing Regatta Round Table Port Alfred was given the opportunity to host a dinner for the students and staff participating in rowing races on the weekend of the 8th to the 10th. 300 people were fed and entertained. This was a great event that has helped us in our goal to create impactful change in our community. All proceeds will be going back to our community through various projects and we are excited to see the impact our contributions will have on the needy members of Port Alfred. This event was a great success and it could not have been done without the help of the tablers, their wives and a few borrowed ladies from Ladies Circle Port Alfred 29. Along with the support we received from our community members, we received a huge amount of help from our local businesses. Kekkel & Kraai, Spar Rosehill, Pick 'n Pay and Kowie Tobacco all helped with contributing ingredients to minimize our expenses and aid us in giving more back. Jenny de Vos and her team were there to ensure that the event ran smoothly and that the venue was left in tip top condition. Port Alfred High School were willing to let us use the venue and we couldn't be more thankful. Lastly, we would also like to thank the Halyards Hotel for preparing the dinner for us, there compliments galore! Queenstown 16 Tablers and Gems were hard at work, bringing and serving over 200 delicious steaks at the Queens College Cape Schools Cricket Festival. River Ramble 2023 The tranquil banks of the Kariga River bore witness to a remarkable congregation as Tablers from across the area gathered for the much-anticipated River Ramble 2023. With an atmosphere charged with camaraderie and enthusiasm, the event unfolded into a weekend brimming with shared experiences and the forging of enduring friendships. With a serene surrounding, the bonds of Round Table community grew stronger, united by the spirit of fellowship. An integral aspect of the weekend was the opportunity for Tablers to immerse themselves in the art of fishing, adding an element of excitement and adventure to the already enriching experience. Casting lines and swapping stories, the participants embraced the nature that surrounded them. A moment of profound significance
occurred as the EP Area Chairman,Nico Schnieder, took the opportunity to induct a new member into the Round Table family, symbolizing the expansion of the community and the continued commitment to fostering a spirit of inclusivity and growth. In the backdrop of the serene river Horns Up proved to be the perfect spot for this gathering of young like-minded men. Memories were made when members of six different clubs gathered together over warm coals and cold drinks while watching the World cup rugby not only waving the Round Table flag but our countries as well. River Ramble 2023: A Weekend of Fellowship and Gees
Yap tour by Algoa 108 Saturday afternoon I had the privilege of meeting our 16 yaps with an old friend Nico McNamara. Ariving at the airport, it was a quiet welcome with lots of there nerves. 8 girls went with the bus to their destination to get cleaned up. The 7 boys (one chap missed his flight) were divided between me and an Algoa 108 41er. Well as you can imagine I am an energy bunny, and I was not going be in a depressing atmosphere, so I took them to RHBS were I got hold of Craig Falconer our pipeliner to give them a tour of the Brewery followed by some beers. Nonetheless they were very quickly introduced to our Buffalo members. After a couple of refreshments, we took them on a small tour and showed them all the monuments of our 108 logos. Upon arrival at the 108-club house, we were warmly greeted by the Algoa 108 members. We had some nice Chicken schnitzel and chips for supper and then started a beer pong tournament which didn’t gain much interest, but when the big sound system started vibrating the floor we heard all types of music, Willie to the rescue with some golden oldies we had the dance floor vibrating like a vibrator with new Duracell batteries.
At 12 o clock the yaps ‘s leash got cut short and the hosting parties’ had to take their guests back home. For my four chaps the journey to Colchester was clearly not long enough as when we got home, they had beers in their bags and Beer pong was all they could think of. I gave them some Boegoe Berg Brandewyn which later had them all passed out. Sunday morning, we prepared bacon and egg buns to help sort out the hangovers and off to Addo Adrenaline they went. So much for just dropping them off we ended up shuttling the tour on the dirt road as the bus could not get there. The Jap’s did some swinging, superman zip lines and we thought their adrenaline was bound to run out, or so we hoped. Next stop was the cheetah farm and finally I could go home. Well as I stopped home, I had to go back to Adrenaline Addo to find cell phones. It was inevitable that I was not going to leave the Yaps, so all out it was. The following day they went to Addo Elephant Park the followed by a boat cruse down the river. I was late for the boat Cruze, so they turned around to collect me, what an evening spent with a friend from 142

Schalk by my side entertaining the youngsters. I spent three days with them, entertaining them, nursing some of them when they had too much to drink, heart to heart chats with them and tabling stories. This is a time I will never forget. After all they say, saying goodbye is the hardest thing to do. Well, the last night with them was like saying goodbye to close friends. With a sore throat from wanting to cry as some of them gave us gifts of gratitude, I quickly thought of an idea. Milking cows at 4 AM was sure to make a great memory, and some said, “yes we would love to come”. Nonetheless the following morning they phoned me asking why I’m late. After milking with them SA style by hand they went for some target shooting. Some for the 1st time and some not. The time had come again for the final goodbye with them wanting me to join their whole trip. It was tempting if I had more leave available. An Event that was meant for Logan to ride changed to me wanting to race as well. Table popped into my head. Why not get the whole 108 involved? An Inter table competition was the next thing I thought of. I then started to chat among the tabler’s and a go ahead is all that was needed. This was meant to be a fun evening table vs table, unfortunately 195 could not make it, and 1 0 Great, following Simon’s moto go big or go home, had 2 and a half teams. Of course, 142 had half a team, so as generous as 108 is we filled their team with our own 41er ‘Gupta’ Bavie. In team 108 was Michael, Warren, Shane, and Sheldon. Team 1 4 2 consisted of Pienaar, Schalk, their 41er JP and our 41er Bavie. Making jokes and having fun # Gees. As the convenor I was the odd one out, but hay, there was a pipeliner wanting to join in the action. So, there is me (Willie) and the pipeliner needing more team members as there should be four in a team. So, I got the owner of the Go Carts to join in with us. Maybe a sneaky move on my side as obviously he is a professional race car driver. Guaranteed we Gona win. It was an event filled with fun and fellowship with tabler’s and all in good #Gees. At the end of it all we do is race
around the track and see who beats who. You have one hour to see which team gets the most laps. Bob’s your uncle. Sounds simple right? At first that’s exactly what I thought, but man o man I was seriously wrong! Take a second and ask your self what do you think? So here it is in my eyes, This had table written all over it. This had work written all over it. We had our teams, we had professional racer’s there that night, we had the 108 gents there that hardly race, then there was me who is there often racing with and teaching my son. Determined I was, as myself and Tom know the track like a parrot knows a swear word. Life, table and work works like this - you judge and size up the work or the people wanting to know what the outcome will be before you even part take. When we run a project, we play it out in our head and analyse it. Is it too big? Or you get the enthusiastic idiot like me that just wants to do it hoping that one man can make a difference. I look back at this and man I can see so much that happened, the question is what did we learn and what did we get out of this? One team with four professional drivers, one team 108 table brothers and 2 other

teams there for the challenge. My team won by 4 car lengths, so it was close. The interesting thing is that 108 was dominating the hell out of us, they stood together and changed drivers often. I recon some of them were rotating after only 6 to 10 laps each. 108 worked as a team, some sacrificing their laps to the faster driver to stay on top, determined not to lose. Honestly in my team there was no real gees as you constantly needed to stay focused and serious. 108 on the other hand, all got involved making the task on hand just so much easier. Shorted laps, all fresher drivers, interacting with each other, chatting, laughing and excitement, #Gees it was wonderful to see that. At the end of the day the professionals won by only 6 laps. My team in 2nd place and Yes 108 was in 3rd place loosing by just four car lengths. I would rather have had been in the 108 team being a team player instead of the lone wolf in my own team doing all the work bitching by myself and making everyone depressed. 108 built gees and fellowship, and they have so many good stories to share amongst themselves. My wife, Debbie, and I embarked on an inspiring journey from East London to Potchefstroom to attend the Tri-Area Conference. This remarkable event brings together three distinct Round Table Areas – Free State, STNOFS, and Northern Cape – offering a platform for shared discussions and visionary planning for the future. The weekend kicked off with a memorable Friday night "shirt party" at the local rugby club. This social gathering set the tone for the weekend, as participants donned their unique Round Table shirts, representing their respective areas. It was a night of laughter, music and fellowship. Saturday morning marked the official start of the conference and meeting, where leaders came together to exchange insights and plan for the future. These sessions provided a valuable opportunity for participants to share their experiences, challenges,
and success stories, fostering a sense of solidarity among the different areas. Saturday we were joined by Daryan Rowe from East London 1. While the Areas were engaged in discussions, the ladies embarked on their own adventure— an escape room experience as part of the ladies' tour. This not only provided them with a fun and challenging activity but also strengthened the bonds of friendship among the partners of Round Table members. It exemplified how Round Table is not just an organization for men but a supportive community for families. As the sun set on Saturday, the conference transformed into a "swembad sokkie" (pool party), further highlighting the unique and vibrant culture of Round Table in the STNOFS area. It was a night of dancing, laughter, and celebration, as participants let loose and embraced the sense of togetherness that defines Round Table.

The Raid was made even more special by the addition of Tablers from Aliwal North, Queenstown, Gonubie & massive turn out of 41ers which is always a treat to see! Kids to the Sea 40th Anniversary
Wow, what a special project. For me as a 41`er this year with being an honorary member and the 40th anniversary of this project, it was a special one for me. Round Table Southern Africa is truly a special organization. With 6 tables involved with the project, Northridge 117, Harrismith 140, Margate 46, Durban 2, Umhlanga 155 and Pietermaritzburg 12. This year we took all the kids in St Laurence`s Children`s Haven and left on the Saturday morning. When we arrived at Harrismith 140 the tablers were welcoming us with open arms. The kids thoroughly enjoyed staying on the farm and all the fun activities and awesome food that was prepared for them. Sunday morning, we left for Margate 46. The Kids had the Most Amazing Time with Round Table Margate 46. As they do every year, (Beach days, Croc Farm, San Lameer, Wild Waves) they always go above and beyond for all the Children at St Laurence's Children's Haven. This Year they organized our stay at the
beautiful Brackenmoor Estate. This place had everything from comfortable beds, air-conditioned rooms, amazing views and even a swimming pool. As tradition goes with Margate 46, Santa Clause came and surprised the children with a special gift handpicked for each individual child. We left Friday morning to meet up with Umhlanga 155 and Durban 2 at Ushaka Marine World where the kids were spoiled with dolphin show, seal show and the aquarium. An amazing lunch as well. After this spoil we left for Pietermaritzburg 12 where we had an amazing night’s rest at Thorn Tree Lodge after a long day of travelling. These guys had all kinds of goodies planned for the kids, from jumping castles and amazing food. Each individual Child at St Laurence's Children's Haven was given a goodie bag hamper with a LED torch and they also got to choose a pair of designer shoes which the kids went absolutely bonkers for. involved with KTTS 2023. One of the Key Factors when doing a Joint Project like this with so many other Tablers and Tables is The Fellowship. It’s a Chance for us to Reconnect and Interact with Our Buddies from Far Away. A Chance to Shake Hands and Swop a Pin or a Banner. This Year Being Our 40th Year Anniversary, we wanted to do something Extra Special and have our Own Custom Banner and Pin to Hand to Each Table for all the hard work and Effort they put into these projects. What does being a leg mean to you ? It is an absolute honour being a Round Table leg, that has bestowed upon me, the gift of a sisterhood, that I never expected. I am eternally grateful for the experiences shared and the priceless memories that have been made in the relatively short time of me being a Round Table leg. Being a Leg instills and brings a sense of pride to me, that we, as a group of women, stand firmly alongside our spouses/partners, supporting them through their journey with Round Table. Being a Leg has not only opened my eyes for the need that is out there, in our communities, but it has granted me an opportunity to be a part of making an impactful change. Jumping in the deep end and helping organize and run projects does not feel like some sort of a chore, because the Legs of Round Table always rise to the challenge, working and helping each other in the background, and I am left with feeling a great sense of pride and achievement after every event or project. I enjoy working together to achieve the impactful change that the men in our lives have set out to make. Yes, even if it means washing the dishes at an event! Haha. If I had to sum up what a “Round Table Leg" is, I'd say it's friends that have become family. What does being a leg mean to you ?
I haven't had the privilege of being a No.1 for very long. so I don’t have a lot I can say. When I hear the word Leg the 1st thought that pops into my brain is family. The girls are not just a couple of girls they are sisters. They care for one another, and they love one another. When I went through a traumatic situation the Legs of No.1 supported me so much and I am so thankful for that. The girls opened up their arms to me and made me a part of their sisterhood. I love each and every one of them. Being a Leg is not just being a part of group it’s a Sisterhood. – Zandre Oelofse When I joined, I was worried about being a mom with a little one. Would I be able to fit in, would my little one fit into the activities and lifestyle? However, I was delighted to find that I didn't just join a social group but rather a family. Avery gained a bunch of new aunties, all eager to have a turn with her and I gained a support system. There is never any problem or objection, it's so easy and adaptable to the family life. Not to mention we have a ton of fun. The guys can only wish they get up to what the legs do on ladies tour. Table is a welcoming environment for any young family. My only regret is not joining sooner. – Casey West Round Table is known as for being a family orientated young men’s organization and for its fellowship amongst men but it should also be known for the amazing "sisterhood" amongst the legs of Round Table. Besides being able to assist the men and being involved in all their projects, there is incredible unity amongst the legs. Us women all have the same common goals: Helping action impactful change, being there for our partners, being involved in all events but most importantly being there for each other. You can arrive at a Table event for the very first time and you will be welcomed as if you've been there for many years. There is always support and fun moments and when there is a bad moment, you will be surrounded by a tribe women who are there for you. Being a part of Round Table has given me the opportunity to work with many different people and make new friends as well as gain a new family. It has given me the opportunity to give back to our communities in ways I wouldn’t have been able to on my own. I have enjoyed and learnt a lot from every Round Table event, project, and initiative that I have been lucky enough to be a part of. Being a Leg in Round Table has been an incredible journey filled with unforgettable experiences and cherished memories. Being a wife who supports her husband in the Round Table has been an adventure. It's a life enriched by the incredible friends we've made, the stunning places we've seen, the genuine fellowship we've experienced, and the lasting memories we've created. But most importantly, it's a life where we have the opportunity to be part of something greater than ourselves, to make a difference, and to touch the lives of those in need. It's a privilege I wouldn't trade for anything in the world. South Africa, with its rich cultural diversity and breathtaking landscapes, has become our playground. As a member of this amazing community, I've had the privilege of traveling to incredible places all around the country. Whether it's exploring the stunning coastlines of KZN, venturing into the heart of the Bushveld, or experiencing the vibrant cultures of the Eastern Cape, Round Table has provided us with the opportunity to see and appreciate the beauty and diversity of South Africa. But perhaps the most remarkable part of this journey is the community work that we get to be a part of. Round Table's commitment to making a positive difference in society is at the core of its existence. Together, we've been involved in a myriad of initiatives, from supporting local schools and orphanages to organizing fundraising events for various causes. LADIES CIRCLE WITBANK 26 – PILATES FOR THE ELDERLY Saturday 17 September, LC Witbank 26 had the privilege of hosting a special Pilates session for our cherished elderly community members at Immergroen. Their joy and enthusiasm were simply infectious! We laughed, stretched, and created beautiful memories together, reinforcing the power of our motto, “Friendship and Service.” Thank You, Immergroen! We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Immergroen for opening their doors to us and allowing us to share this wonderful experience with the Elderly there. More to Come! SANDTON LADIES CIRCLE 24 – JUNO AURORA CHILDRENS HOME MOVIE NIGHT We visited the Juno Aurora Children’s Home on the 30th of September. This event was planned and organised by Almarie and Casey. We organised a movie night for the children, which included playing games, preparing dinner, and concluding with a pleasant movie.

SANDTON LADIES CIRCLE 24 JARS OF HOPE
Our next big project was on the 12th of August 2023, in which we aimed to pack and prepare 670 Jars of Hope to support Doorway to Dignity. Doorway to Dignity is a non-profit organisation that works with vulnerable, displaced, and destitute individuals and communities. A Jar of Hope is a bottle that consists of six dry ingredients that make up a nutritious meal that feeds four people. This project was a combined celebration of Mandela Day and Women’s Day, and our aim was to aid in the fight against food insecurity. While women are the backbone of our society, they are also often the most vulnerable sector of society. This project was a side-by-side project with Doorway to Dignity, Fourways Lions, Ladies Circle Edenvale, Ladies Circle Northridge, Ladies Circle Jacaranda, Northridge Round Table, Randburg Rotary, and then the special ladies of Agora. At the end of the day Sandton Ladies Circle surpassed its target, reaching an astonishing 1 468 Jars. The impact of this achievement cannot be understated, as it means that over 1 400 families had a reliable source of sustenance, ultimately supplying meals for 5 872 individuals. The success of the "670 Jars of Hope" project was made possible by the dedication and commitment of the community. People from all walks of life came forward to contribute their time, effort, and resources to ensure its success. One inspiring aspect of the project was the involvement of local teenagers from schools around the area and nurses in training. These young individuals not only lent their assistance but also earned valuable community service hours in the process. Their eagerness to help and give back to their community shows that young people in Sandton are caring and generous.

SHIRAZ LADIES CIRCLE 8 AT THE ROUND TABLE INTERNATIONAL WORLD MEETING 2023 Shiraz LC8 formed part of the organising committee for the Round Table World Meeting held in Cape Town in September 2023. We assisted in organising the child minding services for the duration of the World Meeting. The children were entertained with various activities including a reptile show, a magician, face painting, balloon and sand art and lots of other games and fun! We also assisted at Nations Night, making a scrumptious potjie for attendees.

LOUIS TRICHARDT LADIES CIRCLE 4 BOWLS FUNDRAISER On Friday, September 29, the Ladies Circle hosted an incredible fundraiser event. It was a bowls event, bringing out the spirit, fun and laughter. The atmosphere was electric, with teams competing against each other had exciting cheers. Everyone showcased their skills and enjoyed the friendly rivalry. The event attracted a tremendous turnout, with members of the community coming together to support the cause. It was a testament to the incredible work done by the Ladies Circle and the generosity of the community. Overall, the fundraiser was a roaring success that left everyone with lasting memories of a fantastic and enjoyable day.

SHIRAZ LADIES CIRCLE 8 CINNABONS To raise some much-needed funds, Shiraz L8 baked more than 80 yummy Cinnabons for friends and family. This has become an annual fundraiser. All funds raised will be used to further the aims and objectives of Shiraz LC8.
After just having returned from the LCI AGM in India, Perashnie Chetty had the opportunity to have a dinner and social with Karina Jensen from Denmark LC 1 Fresericia. It was wonderful to hear about Karina’s Circle World Tour podcast where she is using her Circle travel and adventures to document some amazing people that she is meeting along her Circle journey.

With East London No. 1 at the forefront of these principles, this raid to Fort Beaufort was a testament to the dedication and enthusiasm of its members. Fort Beaufort, a town nestled in the Eastern Cape of South Africa, holds historical significance. With its rich
history and cultural heritage, it provided an ideal backdrop for this raid. The raid was an opportunity for these enthusiastic Round Table to visit tables within their own area and experience the unique table cultures outside their own club. Chairman Jethro Penny, leading the way, showcased the qualities that make a Round Tabler. His vision, strength of character, and dedication to Round Table has been an inspiration to members throughout his tenure. Winning the Impact Award for our area alongside Wouter Dreyer is an incredible honor that has left me truly shocked and humbled. I must admit that I didn’t see it coming at all. It was one of those moments in life when you hear your name being called, and you can’t believe your ears. However, after Mike, our area chairman, took the stage to read a long list of reasons why Wouter and I deserved this recognition, it was like a spark had been ignited within me. In the world of Southern-Africa’s Round Table, there was a tale of two tables – Matlosane 219 and Klerksdorp 45. These two tables, while starkly different, would come together to form a remarkable story of growth, camaraderie, and resounding success. Matlosane 219 was renowned throughout the region for their exceptional work ethic and unparalleled fellowship. They were the table known for taking on daring challenges, especially their memorable exploits on number 99. Their motto was simple: “Just wing it.” Yet, they soared to incredible heights and always rose to the occasion, functioning as more than just a table; they were a tight-knit family. On the other hand, Klerksdorp 45 teetered on the brink of closure, with a mere two members. However, they refused to bow to adversity. In just a year, their numbers swelled to five, and they began finding their footing. These young and ambitious tablers were led by the no-nonsense Chairman Russel Human. Their strength lay in meticulous planning and unyielding preparedness. They were the agents of change in Round Table, driven by a relentless desire to make a difference.
Opposites attract, they say, and this merger was no exception. These two tables brought together a remarkable mix of personalities. Jan-Albert, also known as 007, was the idea generator and motivator. Spekkie, or Ettiene du Plessis, was the unwavering hard worker who never said no to a task. Baardman, or Jaques Moolman, was the calm and collected member who would stand up when things went awry. Horing, or Ryno Kruger, was the jovial soul who could whip up a barbecue feast and light up any room. Hoppies, or Reinhardt Hauptfleich, was the glue that bound them together, making everyone feel welcome. Uncle Fister, or M-Cee Smith, was the dependable and supportive member. Hennie, or Henro Louw, was the detail-oriented humorist who never missed a thing. And then there was The Love Muscle, Russel Human, strict and direct but kind when necessary. Lastly, Crop duif, Melcolm van der Spuy, went the extra mile to ensure everyone’s happiness.
As we find ourselves at the midpoint of the table year, Matlosane 45 has already achieved remarkable success. They’ve doubled their contributions to the community, leaving an indelible mark on the lives they touch. There hasn’t been a single negative moment in their journey so far. Everywhere you go, you hear about the vibrancy of Matlosane 45 – they are alive, thriving, and making a profound difference.

Sasolburg Bokkie and Chairmans Visit Having Potch 47 and Carletonville 50 join our Matlosane 45 meeting was a memorable and heartwarming occasion that brought together three remarkable Round Table tables. The event was significant as it not only highlighted the bonds we share as tablers but also involved the handover of the prestigious “Sasolburg Bokkie” from Carletonville 50. Gathering three respected tables – Matlosane 45, Potch 47, and Carletonville 50 – under one roof was a true testament to the unity that defines Round Table. Potch 47, represented by the STNOFS Area Chairman, graced us with an inspiring speech, reminding us of the importance of our collective efforts and the impact we can make when we work together. Carletonville 50, led by Dale, made quite the entrance by ‘raiding’ us and presenting the “Sasolburg Bokkie.” It was a lighthearted yet competitive gesture that showcased the friendly rivalry and camaraderie that exists within Round Table. As we accepted the “Bokkie,” it served as a symbol of the ongoing exchange of camaraderie and support among our tables. The "Sasolburg Bokkie" Is a cherished token in Round Table, and as its new custodians, we are excited to continue this tradition. We know that other tables will be eager to reclaim it, but we are ready to uphold the honor and the spirit of the “Bokkie” within our table. This handover was a reminder that in Round Table, the fun and camaraderie go hand in hand with our commitment to community service. Having essentially 80% of the STNOFS Council gathered at the same table meeting was an impressive sight. It reinforced our commitment to the Round Table cause and the collective strength that we, as a council, bring to the table. The exchange of ideas, experiences, and the sense of camaraderie among the council members was truly invaluable. This Chairman’s visit was more than just a formal meeting; it was a celebration of our Round Table family. It showcased the spirit of unity, collaboration, and the genuine friendships that we build as tablers. We left the meeting with renewed enthusiasm, ready to uphold the legacy of the “Sasolburg Bokkie,” and excited to see what the future holds for our three tables. Sergeant at Matlosane 45
I thought I’d seen it all in our Matlosane Table meetings, but this one took the cake – or should I say, the chili-infused vodka. As you all know, the role of a sergeant at our meetings is crucial. They help maintain order, keep us in line, and ensure the chairman can conduct the meeting smoothly. But when Wouter Dreyer from Potch 47 decided to join our gathering, he took the concept of “sergeant” to a whole new level. Our Matlosane Table has always been a bit on the talkative side, filled with creative minds that can’t seem to contain their ideas. Patience isn’t always our strong suit, and sometimes we just can’t wait our turn to speak. Little did I know, Wouter had a plan to teach us a lesson. He brought something to our meeting that no sergeant had ever dared to bring before – a massive bottle of vodka, and not just any vodka, mind you. This was vodka that had been fermenting with the hottest chilies for months. You can probably guess where this is going. As the first “straffie” (punishment shot) was handed out to me, it was immediately clear that we were in for something truly spicy. The look on my face said it all, and the rest of us were left in a mix of shock and amusement. Wouter, you certainly lived up to the name of being a sergeant. The rest of the meeting was a rollercoaster of emotions, from laughter to tears (of laughter, mostly). Each time someone spoke out of turn or got a little too enthusiastic with their ideas, they were met with a fiery “straffie.” It was all in good fun, but we quickly learned to wait our turn and keep our ideas in check. Wouter’s unconventional approach to being a sergeant turned that meeting into one for the books. We’ll never forget the day that we got a taste of his chili-infused vodka discipline. Winning the ARTSA Travel Draw Winning the ARTSA Travel Draw with Matlosane 45 was an exhilarating moment, one that filled me with excitement and anticipation. The prize, an opportunity to explore the beautiful city of Tienen in Belgium, was a dream come true for all of us. It’s a journey that has been filled with serendipity and a twist of fate. The path to this remarkable win was a unique one. At the Tri-Area event, Melcolm van der Spuy, our dedicated STNOFS International Relations Officer, had the responsibility of conducting the draw. The irony was not lost on us – a member of Matlosane 45 orchestrating the draw for our group. Little did we know that fate had something special in store for us that day. Finally, after numerous attempts, our persistence paid off. Our luck shone brightly, and Matlosane 45 emerged as the victors of the ARTSA Travel Draw. It was a moment of sheer joy and disbelief. The prospect of embarking on a journey to Tienen in Belgium was a chance to connect with fellow Round Table members from across the world, experience different cultures, and make lasting memories. In the spirit of keeping things fair and exciting, we conducted another draw at our Table meeting a few weeks later to determine who would be the lucky traveler. The anticipation in the room was palpable, and as fate would have it, I was the one whose name was drawn. I couldn’t contain my excitement, knowing that this incredible opportunity was now within reach. Traveling for Round Table has always been a dream of mine, and I’m eager to represent Matlosane 45 and STNOFS on this international adventure. It’s an opportunity not only to explore new places but also to strengthen the bonds within the Round Table community. The experiences and knowledge gained on this journey will undoubtedly contribute to our collective growth and understanding. Bowling for Boobies Ladies and gentlemen, there are moments in life when the ordinary transforms into the extraordinary. When a community comes together with a shared purpose, magic happens. Such was the case with our recent “Bowling for Boobies” Breast Cancer Roll Bowls day, a phenomenal event that left us humbled, inspired, and utterly elated. This day was a testament to the incredible power of unity, a coming together of hearts, and a collective determination to make a difference in the fight against breast cancer. With the support of OFM, our event was a roaring success that exceeded our wildest expectations. The excitement started building from day one as we opened registrations, and within just two weeks, we had sold out all 28 teams of four. The enthusiasm was palpable, and the participation of teams from all corners of Klerksdorp, ranging from private groups to local businesses, was a sight to behold. The Klerksdorp community united for a common cause – to roll back breast cancer. As we looked out on the greens, there was a mesmerizing wave of pink that swept across the landscape. It was a powerful visual symbol of our unwavering support for breast cancer awareness. Each participant, each team, and every supporter wore pink proudly, showing their commitment to this crucial cause. The day of the event arrived, and it was nothing short of spectacular. OFM was right there with us, broadcasting live, adding an electrifying atmosphere to the day. Our master of ceremonies, the indomitable Shandor, kept the spirits high and the laughter flowing. The camaraderie among the teams, each one with their unique style and flair, made for an unforgettable experience. The sound of bowls rolling gracefully across the green, the cheers and applause, and the friendly competition filled the air with an infectious energy. It was a day where the love for the sport and the love for the cause became one. But the magic didn’t stop there. It soared to new heights during our auction. We watched in awe as the generosity of the community reached extraordinary levels. The items up for grabs were donated by local businesses and individuals, and the bids were nothing short of astounding. The financial support was overwhelming, and it became apparent that we had the makings of something truly extraordinary. When the last gavel struck, and the final bid was announced, the total amount raised was more than we could have ever anticipated – a staggering R135,500. Every Rand of it was dedicated to CANSA, an organization at the forefront of the battle against breast cancer. This event was not just about bowls; it was about making a real, tangible impact in the fight against breast cancer. It was about rallying as a community to support the warriors and survivors, to provide resources for early detection and treatment, and to contribute to the crucial research needed to conquer this devastating disease. Our “Bowling for Boobies” Breast Cancer Roll Bowls day is a shining example of the immense power of unity. It shows what can be achieved when a community comes together with a common goal and an unwavering commitment to make a difference. We not only had an incredible day of fun and laughter, but we also took a significant step towards a future where breast cancer is no longer a threat. To all those who participated, to the businesses and individuals who donated, to OFM for their fantastic support, and to our spirited MC, Shandor, we say thank you. Thank you for being a part of something truly extraordinary. Thank you for helping us make a real impact in the fight against breast cancer. Pipeys at P.A.W.S. Potchefstroom Animal Welfare Society is an organisation that provides the services of the SPCA in other towns across South Africa. Myself and Jean-Paul Oliver, newly inducted members of Potchefstroom 47 launched this project as " Pipey's at P.A.W.S. ". This Pipeliner Project was an idea of our table to get the Pipeliners more involved. So JP and I went to P.A.W.S. on the 29th of July to inspect the centre, we discovered that their Kennels needed some repairs. We then had a couple of beers and discussed a proposal. Our proposal was accepted by the members of our table and on Saturday the 21st of October we went down to Paws and had a few beers ? Jokes aside, the guy's jumped to work and we had our job cut out for us. The gents from 47 shaped and we got through the day disassembling the front of kennels and then reassembling them with new wire mesh whilst some of the residents their to get at us. We wanted to lock up our honourable Chairman in one of the kennels but he bribed us with some Boerewors rolls. The spirit was high, the sun hot and somehow the beers were few. But after an awesome day with the guys we were all happy to get out of the sun and watch the rugby. Algoa 108 Boys weekend 108 boys’ weekend, Yes or No. Some are in some are out. Postpone we don’t have time they said. With no choice really it was either we do it or we postpone it and probably not have one for a second year in a row. So, there it’s done and dusted. Rum Run here we come. It was supposed to be Tipo Tinto and raspberry but there was no way we were going to make and drink that. Again, I do stuff different, four bottles of rum that I’m sure no one would have drink before with some mixes. I had the chaps sorted. Entry fee was a case of beers as I figured the rum will not be such a good idee for three days and considering I’m driving my wife’s new car. If I dinged the car ill have a divorce letter faster in my hand than what you could say Boys weekend rum run. At 17:30 on Friday Warren, Sheldon, Michael, and Mark rocked up at my house. Car loaded and ready to go, we got a long list from my wife of what we were allowed to do in the car. Needles to say I got steam from the members in the car all the way over the olifants kop pass. Now it was my turn to get them back. Over some long dirt roads up and over 100ds of speed bumps down mountains into bushes where you can’t even see the road these chaps for sure thought we were lost. Not long after we met up with the owner to guide us
into the camping grounds with his ford ranger, not having a 4x4 soon came to mind that this was a terrible idea as we started looking at this road deteriorating quickly with a ford bakkie battling up the slopes I was sure that we were going to get stuck in the new car. The Toyota outperformed the ford taking us to our destination with no problem at all. The fire started and the boy’s weekend had begun. Sheldon took up braai master, we had some good cooking and refreshments. Late in bed I was the 1st to sleep hiding in my car as I was for sure that the gents were going to get up to mischief. Early Saturday morning the coals were hot, so I started the fire again. Waiting for the chaps to wake up, I took the challenge on climbing the mountain for a better look at our surroundings. Got the chaps up with a beautiful bacon and egg burger made by Warren, the chaps were keen for river swimming and rum drinking. So, all aboard down to the river we started tasting the rum buffaloing Warren twice. Swimming and having fun the afternoon was approaching to start the potjie. Not so hot on the feet, Willie, started making the pot with all help on hands. MR Chair running around with OBS, Willie got tired of that and decided to finish the bottle not thinking what

a k@k idee that would end up. Shelly being Shelly had to start looking after us keeping us SAFE, we got in bed some how and man that was not easy as I got locked out the room and had to use the balcony. George was called a couple of times as there was no holding back on the buffalo kicking rum that burns bigger flames that LRP 95 fuel. Guess what we woke up Sunday after 9 hours of interrupted George calling hours. Cleaning up and packing we hit the road coming back. But wait Willie wanted to play with the goats. Well, all chickened out to see who was brave enough to get into the pen with the rams after Willie decided to tease the hell out of the one ram headbutting the fence just as a worm up. Look we got home save with minimal injuries and poisoned livers from the rum run but man what a weekend of fellowship and laughter. Laughter so bad that Willie started calling for George. In My first article Instead our Strategy or our plans for the year, I would like to dedicate this to the Moffat Family who lost their son over that weekend. Rather I want to write about the importance of family, friendship, and brotherhood. In a world that often seems increasingly disconnected, these bonds are our anchors, our sources of strength and joy. Family is the foundation upon which our lives are built. It's the unconditional love and unwavering support Never take for granted. Friendship, is a chosen. It enriches our lives with laughter, camaraderie, and the comfort that we're not alone on this journey. Friendships offer us solace in times of trouble and joy in triumphs. Brotherhood is both…It's about a shared purpose, shared goals, and the unwavering commitment to one another. Brotherhood teaches us loyalty, resilience, and the profound strength that comes from standing together. It's not limited by blood; it's defined by shared values and experiences. These connections remind us of our humanity. They provide a support system during life's challenges. They shape our character, influence our decisions, and define our sense of belonging in the world. George Round Table 30 hosted a World Cup final event at our clubhouse, showcasing the event on Big Screens throughout the clubhouse. Doors were open for all, from early on. The wonderful atmosphere of fellowship, nerves, and anticipation, culminated into complete euphoria as soon as the final whistle blew on another successful World Cup campaign. We would like to thank all friends of Table who enjoyed any of the world cup games we showed at our clubhouse this year.

We had the honour of hosting them for one night to share some Fellowship and Gees. On this night we auctioned off 2 x RoundTable Oudtshoorn 33 Exclusive Ostrich Egg's. All funds going to Mari Lind who is battling with a rare disease. IN LESS THAN 20MIN WE RAISED R25000, all going to Mari. The Power of the Rondel Impala 157 had the privilege to host our Dutch Brothers and sisters from Etten Leur 157. After months of planning and preparation it was time for the Dutch to arrive. Vos Botha and Dario Cremona Left Polokwane to pick the group up at the Airport. Claas from Pretoria 201 surprised us and formed part of the welcoming party. After the big welcome we all jumped into Minnie busses and headed to Elements Private Golf Estate where the group was going to spend the next couple of days. The gees were high in the bus and ample refreshments was supplied to ensure Gees was kept high. We arrived at Elements at @ 2 in the morning. The group was welcomed by David Cawood and Johann Prinsloo. The accommodation was next level. And all was showed to their rooms. This is when the festivities started. Dario Cremona (Chairman) welcomed the group officially and the Aims and objectives was read by Vos Botha. Brany was flowing and festivities was on a high level.
There were two shirts for the tour, the yellow shirt for the “last man standing” and then the pink shirt for the “first man falling” the buffalo rule was introduced and it took some time to get used to. Every so often one would hear the load scream “Buffaloooo” Most of the group went trough the night and saw their first African sun rise of the bushveld. It must be mentioned that the pink shirt went to Thom and the yellow shirt for the last man standing was awarded to Morris. The next two days was spent in the African Bush, with game drives, lounging around the pool, a lot of meat, BRAAI, Potjie kos, Bandewyn and fantastic fellowship. Arguably one of the highlights of the trip was the interaction with Elephant.

The Power of the Rondel For the last night salad was served with ample braai meat, it was strange to see most of our Dutch Brothers and sisters opted for the Green stuff rather than the meat. The second leg of the tour was hosted by Hannes Du Plessis, Jerome Zondagh and Nardo Greef. The group was picked up from elements and the route to Polokwane started. The road trip included a visit to a crocodile farm where there was interaction with crocks and some crock meat was also on the menu. Morris saw some free crocodile eggs and could not resist the temptation. Some of the eggs was later cooked to be tasted. The results are debatable, apparently it is good to cleanse the system. Arriving in Polokwane, it was an honor to host our new family at our clubhouse for some great fellowship and to show them where we operate. We were joined by members of Bushveld area for the night, Zoutpansberg 66, Tzaneen 96 was part of the festivities. There was a pig on the spit with chicken and some much-needed vegies for those that is not used to meat as a staple food. The Bokke also ensured that the hearth rates to skyrocket. Impala 157 was gifted with a very special Delft bottle of Bols and delicious Stroop waffles. Due to the high intensity of tour the party ended around midnight for most of the team, however the Bushveld boys and girls was hungry for some 157 fellowship and pushed the clock till the early hours of Sunday Morning.
Sunday was again an early start to the day, breakfast was served at the Pietersburg Club where the team was staying over. The trip to the final part of the tour started and we were off to Magoebaskloof, Hosted by Keagan and Graham, joined by Dian, Jerome and Vos where we treated the Dutch with some high adrenalin Ziplining across the beautiful scenery of Georges Valley. Zwakala Brewery was the next stop for the day. A tour of the micro-brewery and some beer tasting was enjoyed. For the rest of the afternoon we all just absorbed the beauty of the area with some refreshments. The Final stop for the day was at the beautiful Mountain Fly Fishing resort. We had our final dinner for the Limpopo leg of the tour. Food was served and some speeches was made. There was some gees left and wine was flowing for one last time.

The Power of the Rondel The last day, like they say, all good things come to an end. And the last day of this magnificent tour has come. Impala 157 took the group to one of our projects that we support, Pathways Enrichment Centre. it has just once again shown us that the problems we might have is simple and solvable, there is people out there with real life problems and challenges. It was not an easy visit as the reality of life is not always pretty and easy, but it was a privilege to show this to our brothers from abroad. We would also just again want to thank the team of Pathways for the great work they do. This is people with real life superpowers and the world need a lot more people like you. One last hurrah, the final activity was and interaction with Lion cubs that was arranged by Dario Cremona. It was great to see the excitement of everyone when those cubs were taken out of the crates, especially the kids. It was such an honor to have shared such an experience with such a great group of people. The journey back to the airport started and the final greetings was bittersweet, teary eyed for most this magnificent tour ended.
Coming back to the heading of our story, it is amazing how a symbol can unit people, we had a group of Dutch strangers arriving at OR Tambo and five days later they left as family. This experience of fellowship and friendship is because of this magnificent organization Round Table that we are all part of. Fellowship with no borders, new Family. From our side we would like to thank each of your guys for joying us on this absolute fantastic experience, thank you for bringing your partners and your kids to be part of this experience. The Power of the Rondel Meeting the Dutch 157 table I was pessimistic at first, I thought there would be a division between the South Africans and the Dutch. How wrong could I have been! It was as if we were meeting old friends when in fact it was our first time meeting them. It just shows how special the roundtable community is worldwide! Graham Taylor
At first, I did not know what to expect upon arriving in South Africa. We had heard stories from friends about violence and crime. Now that I am back home, I am so grateful to the Tablers and their families for making me feel safe and secure throughout the entire trip. We had a blast! I enjoyed the adventures, even though I do not need much more than a golfcart and some gravel road to have a good time. The ziplining adventure also made a great impact because of the beautiful scenery combined with the adrenaline rush. But the pinnacle of this journey was visiting the school for special needs children. It was a humbling experience, seeing what role the Round Table can play in taking care of basic needs for people who cannot provide it for themselves. The Round Table apparently is like an invisible thread that binds us all together, creating a sense of family and unity that transcends borders. I never imagined that I would find family on the other side of the world, but it sure feels like that now. This, for me, is the ultimate highlight. Of course, your project with the school was deeply inspiring to all of us. The bush drives, the thrilling canopy tour, and the chance to explore your part of the world were all beautiful moments. The other thing that sets this journey apart is your incredible hospitality. The delicious food and drinks, the care you have showered upon us – you've truly raised the bar. The Power of the Rondel Hi Vos! In between all the enjoyment, taking a moment to send a message of thanks to you. We had a lot of contact while arranging the trip and you guys organized it so well. From the moment we set foot in South Africa to the instant we bid farewell, our journey was flawlessly orchestrated. Our short trip to South Africa was brimming with a diverse range of engaging activities. However, the most cherished moments were the interactions with the two groups. Meeting all of you was the highlight of my experience, as it allowed us to partake in unique activities that typically elude tourists. From Dario's captivating lion encounter on the golf course to our visit to your school project, culminating in a delightful BBQ with breath-taking views, these were memories to treasure. Moreover, the thrilling activities, including encounters with elephants, crocodiles, and the exhilarating zipline, added an extra layer of excitement to our trip. In conclusion, it was nothing short of awesome. I extend my heartfelt gratitude to all of you for your warm hospitality, which made us feel not just welcome, but also right at home. For both Fenna and Jesse the ziplining/cuddle with the baby lion were shared number 1. Also, a funny quote from Jesse yesterday: Maybe if I’m old I can also join the roundtable and come back here. For both Patty and me: This was seriously life changing. We never-ever-ever felt so welcome as we did with you guys. It feels like we met family that we did not know before. So, it's hard to choose a specific moment. We did so much amazing things that are in my top10 ever but what both Patty and me will remember from this trip is the people, RT157 Impala (and friends). Kristian, Patty, Jesse, Fenna Zondervan I have never felt more welcome in another country, not even my own. The table has often brought me friendship, pleasure, and a network of peers.
