Dear Friends, What an incredible year and a fantastic journey this has been.

I could not have asked for a better platform or a better forum to meet amazing friends, create everlasting memories, and in the whole process, make a difference in society, touching lives in little bits that will go a long way to create more happiness and smiles throughout.

It is my pleasure and honor to present the 2021-22 edition of the RTN Magazine, “ARTEAN.” As has been done in the past, this year, too, we are focusing on the excellent work done by Round Table Nepal and trying to consolidate the year gone by in the magazine.

I have to thank many people on this journey, starting from the members of my Table, for pushing me forward and encouraging me all the way, and the RTN Fraternity, which has given me so much love that I will be forever indebted to you, my President, Anand Bahety, for continuously showing the way, and guiding me on this journey, the National Board and the NEX council who’ve always been by my side for every little thing that I asked for, and special thanks to my lovely wife, Monisha, and children, who had to settle with very little of family time this year due to my commitments to RTNepal.

Friends, this year, I have tried to make sure that we are projecting the brand of Round Table and Round Table Nepal positively, using all the necessary tools of social media, print media, as well as our Projects, Fundraisers, and Fellowships.

And trust me when I say this, I have seen a substantial change in the mindset of people who have been following Round Table Nepal and how they perceive it now, compared to what they thought of it earlier.

This could not have been done if the combined effort of all Tablers and family members were not behind it. Kudos to you all for following the RTN Branding Guidelines and making sure to do fantastic work that will positively impact the lives of people in our society.

ABOUT US

Round Table is an association of young men under the age of 40 who work tirelessly towards creating a better, healthier, more just society focusing on the arena of Children’s education and achieving this goal while making new friends, creating new business and networking opportunities.

We empower our members to challenge, inspire and learn from each other. We share ideas openly with each other, trust, believe in, and enable individuals to make a positive impact in their homes, work, and community. Round Table’s motto is “ADOPT, ADAPT, IMPROVE.” This motto was taken from a speech by the Prince of Wales, in which he said: “The young business and professional men of the country must get together round the Table, adopt methods that have proved so sound in the past, adapt them to the changing needs of the times, and wherever possible, improve them.”

“Round Table Nepal” is an association under the umbrella of Round Table International, which is present in more than 65+ countries and has 29000+ active members globally.

Round Table Nepal is an association of approximately 550+ active members and 32 Tables across Nepal.

Round Table Nepal as an association was formed in 1999. The first Table in Nepal was formed with the help of Sq. Leg Lalit Shah from Madras and Tr. C.K. Golchha as the Charter Chairman. There were five tables in Nepal during the decade-long period before the formation of RTN. These tables were under the Area IV of Round Table India, which helped lay the foundations of the tabling movement in Nepal. In 1999, Round Table India and Round Table Germany jointly sponsored the formation of an independent association of Round Table Nepal.

MISSION Statement To work in the education sector of Nepal to improve the quality of education through infrastructure development and investment in education for underprivileged kids and provide healthcare services where they are almost non-existent.

Presiden't Desk When did you join Round Table and what is Round Table for you ?

I became part of this movement in 2011.

I joined Tabling by recommendation.

Later, I realized the beauty of this movement, and very soon it became an integral part of my life. Round Table gives us an opportunity to explore ourselves and develop as individuals, team players, and leaders. Tabling is about discovering, learning, and making friends who become family even before you realize it. It is about challenging your own thoughts and setting new benchmarks to make a difference. We all have diverse life experiences, and Round Table imparts us more abilities far beyond any qualification can teach us. The movement gives you much more than what you contribute to it. I am a Tabler, proud of what we do, and “Together Towards Tomorrow”, we shall continue to achieve more. I have many beautiful memories from my Tabling journey that I shall cherish all my life.

And all of this has been possible because of my tabling home – KURT17.

Share your experience and challenges as the President of RTN.

First and foremost, I am incredibly grateful and full of gratitude to have gotten the opportunity to lead this fantastic organization. A President’s role is almost a full-time job. The biggest challenge is keeping a balance between Tabling, Work, and Family – and I am not sure how successful I was in getting this balance. My Parents, my son Vivaan, and especially my wife, Vijita, were very supportive. A lot of work and family matters were taken care of by her, and she would always push me to attend more and more RTN events, even when at times I felt I was tired of the continuous travel. There was a time when I took 6 flights in 3 days, including a 300+ km drive, but the satisfaction of doing something good for society and the love and affection you get from fellow Tablers keeps you motivated to do more. On the personal front, you grow as a person adding to new experiences, confidence, social networks, and many more.

What is the one project you are most proud of ?

I am proud of one of our flagship projects - Educate a Child. While visiting one of the schools where we support the “Educate a Child” project and meeting the guardians, we come across some really touching situations. There are cases where the child has lost one or both the parents and/or there is no earning member in the family to support their education. By being part of their education, we are not only touching just one life but a family, a society, and a nation and are becoming part of hopefully creating responsible citizens of the future. Tr. Vikash Agrawal and Tr. Ankit Agrawal looking after the EAC facet have done some remarkable work this year.

How do you keep your Tablers keen and motivated ?

One can only initiate and IGNITE. The LAPD sessions of NExT and TExT, Ignite 2022, were an attempt to do the same. It is our friendship, fellowship, and service projects that give us the motivation to keep contributing more and enjoying the movement. Tablers are achievers, and together we continue to spread smiles and make a difference, taking Round Table Nepal to greater heights. We continue to ADOPT, ADAPT, IMPROVE, and make the most of this opportunity, rediscover ourselves, and achieve new milestones. The LAPD team – Tr. Nitesh Kr. Agrawal and Tr. Diwash Subedi have been incredible the entire year.

How do you relax and recharge ?

The best stress buster for me is spending time with family and friends. An outing with my parents is the icing on the cake.

And I think most of us would agree, that there will be days when the stress level might be at its peak and then there will be a hug from your child to get you back the energy, the passion, and the zeal.

This works best for me.

How was your journey from being a Tabler to becoming the President of Round Table Nepal ?

If you ask me about my Tabling journey, as I mentioned earlier, how I became a Tabler was just by chance. How I grew as a Tabler was by being lucky to get and grab the opportunities, and today I stand here leading this wonderful association, this Is what Tabling has given me. Tabling is a journey; you must enjoy it, and the rest comes along. An opportunity to lead this amazingly wonderful movement is a huge responsibility because of the rich legacy Round Table Nepal holds. It is the effort of each and every member and the dynamic leaders we’ve had that defines what Round Table Nepal stands for.

The

Family Man

We understand the President has a lot of roles and responsibilities to handle, suddenly, it all comes to an end, and you are jobless again, does it scare you ?

Yes, there is this thought that I am only going to experience in the coming days.

The role of a President keeps you so involved that when it comes to an end, there will be a vacuum to fill. I will still be on the National Board for 1 more year as the IRO, probably that is the cooling-off time and there are a lot of facets of life that I have not been able to give attention to in the last year which probably now have to be corrected – the biggest one being resting. I love being Lazy and doing nothing, I have missed that for a long time.

What are the goals that you set out to achieve during your term as National President, and did you achieve them ?

Well, as a leader of any organization, you have some goals and dreams. I think I have been lucky enough to have the full support and love of my team, friend, and families. After the Covid situation, the first challenge was to get everyone back to normal. The virtual world cannot replace the physical fellowships. It is our involvement and celebration of tabling that keeps us bonded and inspires us to achieve more. With so many activities this year, I see RT Nepal back on track.

Another challenge was to get inductions in Tables with low counts. With our new initiation of prospects meet initiated

by Tr. Pravesh Agrawal Nat. Extension Convener, the highest ever inductions of 100+ Tablers, and presence in 2 new cities we are moving in the right direction.

RTN has already seen the benefits of LAPD, and this year we have successfully made more inroads in this facet, now with a team of our own certified trainers.

The NLC IGNITE fellowship was one of the best fellowships I have personally been part of.

Our service projects always motivate us, adding new FTE blocks and making Educate a Child big was a dream. With a three-fold growth in the number of kids supported, RTN has now set a new milestone. Fellowships got a new

dimension with Zest sports month, and regular coffee meets. 1900+ pints of blood collected to celebrate RTI & RTN Day is something we are all proud of.

Covid had a say in spoiling some of our plans in Jan-March 2022, like the National fellowship drive, where we already had 70+ registrations, but that is how things work, everything can’t fall in place. The plan to execute an area project in Area1 also could not materialize.

We were able to make progress in a few initiatives started in past years, and I am sure few ideas that could not be executed this year will be taken care of by the incoming president.

With our continuous growth over the years, having some systems in place was a major focus. Updated Table and National Code thanks to PP LMF Tr. Nikhil Jaisani was a step forward. Reporting, data mining and communication has got the structure required with the new MOMO platform and App. I had not imagined the kind of effort and time this new platform would take. It was almost like a parallel full-time tenure, but finally, with humungous efforts from Tr. Vimal Baid – Nat Editor, Tr. Govind Ghiraiya – Nat Secretary, Tr. Dipesh Khetan – IT Convener and Tr. Manindra Raghav, we were able to achieve what we had visualized.

Success and failures, opportunities and challenges are part of any journey. For Round Table, the way ahead is always Adopt, Adapt, & Improve.

I love to see my father as the President of Round Table Nepal. He has been going to so many places. I also got to travel with him to many events where I enjoyed a lot. I got many pins this year and when I grow up, I will get all my dad’s pins once I become a Tabler. The best thing is that Round Table helps people who need help.

Which role did you enjoy- that of Secretary or President? Which one kept you on your toes ?

Well, I don’t think these roles can be compared. This is my 4th year on the National Board – my first as Nat. Secretary, 2 years as Nat. Vice President and now as the President.

I feel the weight and responsibility of the President’s jewel is much heavier than the other three years combined. This is a different experience and journey; it teaches you some exceptional skills and evolves you as a person. I feel obliged and fortunate to have been given this opportunity.

How was your tabling board this year? Could you have asked more or less ?

More than that, this is unrealistic.

I could not have asked for a better team. If I have to work again as the National President (although this isn’t happening), I will still want to do it with this same team.

This is a team that didn’t have the word NO in their dictionary.

Fellowships Attended

Always were positive and available for any challenges and plans I wanted to take forward. The support from each member across roles was evident throughout the year. I can’t thank each one of them enough for their support in making this journey so meaningful and creating lifetime memories. VP Tr. Rahul was always supportive, Secretary Tr. Govind, and Editor Tr. Vimal were the backbone of my tenure, Treasurer Tr. Sushant has always been by my side and IPP/IRO Tr. Saurabh has been there with his experience. RTI VP Tr. Jayant Agrawal & PP Nikhil Jaisani were always around with their guidance.

As Tablers by choice, we always carry the good repute of Round Table and conduct ourselves with the principles for which this movement stands for.

With a dynamic and highly motivated 22nd National Executive Council, I hope we were able to accomplish and do justice to our roles with everyone’s support.

It has been a matter of pride and immense honor to be called the “First Lady of Round Table Nepal.” It has been a roller coaster ride for me, making new friendships and creating beautiful memories on this journey. Memories that I know I will cherish throughout my life.

Your President is a very organized person who tries to achieve perfection. He traveled a lot this year. Before the start of his year, I was always told to forget him for this period. But I will have to accept that with his fantastic time management skills, he had time for his family while still being busy with work and Tabling.

I got a chance to travel with him to many Tabling events.

It was a beautiful experience, and I would like to thank all our friends for hosting us and making it so special and unique. I keep hearing his tabling stories regularly, and I know his amazing team made it so much easier for him to achieve his goals. No matter what, his love for Tabling will always keep us around friends.

He is an absolute perfectionist giving attention to the minutest of details.

I remember when he was National Secretary and had presented his Secretary Report in the NAGM. I have never seen a better secretary report till date (Sorry to the succeeding Secretaries, but it’s the truth, so better learn to live with it... pehle waale bach gaye ;-). It was an absolute masterpiece.

TR. MOHIT KEDIA Anand and I have always shared a very cordial relationship as I have known him from school days when we studied in Boarding. I guess he left it in between maybe because the School wasn’t as perfect as he would have wanted it to be

AGRIM KHETAN Hello everyone! When I was asked to write something about our Dear President Tr. Anand Bahety, many words at once came into my mind like Charismatic, intelligent, leader by example, approachable, a good friend, and what not but One word that truly describes Anand Dai in the case 16

It was an absolute privilege for me to serve as Table Chairman under the Presidency of Anand for the Tabling Year 2021-22. This year was absolutely fantastic, with great work being done all year round and with some outstanding achievements and initiatives like the new RTN APP, a New Web Platform for Reports, and a record number of inductions, to name a few.

Anand, as a President, has always been super cooperative, supportive & most importantly, reachable. Whenever I had any doubts or clarifications, I used to call him, and he was always available to give the best advice possible.

I want to congratulate Anand with two thumbs up and wish him all the best for IPP/IRO position (2022-23). I would like him to further pursue his Tabling Career to the Regional & International level without being kicked out of home ;-) Tr. Mohit Kedia Chairman Kathmandu Round Table

President Anand. As a Chairman of Biratnagar Round Table 5, my journey of T.Y. 2021-22 with President Anand has been worth remembering, wherein he inspired and pushed and motivated me personally on many occasions, and I could also break some barriers. Thus, he displayed true character of what fantastic leadership can do.

During the period of T.Y.2021-22, Anand and I have also developed a great friendship which we would cherish for life long now.

of the DRT-26 journey this year is that he was OMNIPRESENT. He was EVERYWHERE! He was there in all the significant events of DRT-26, which added all the more fun, enthusiasm, and grace to the event. We cannot thank him enough for that. Anand Dai ticks all the check boxes for being a great leader and, most importantly, a true Tabler. He taught us by his actions how vital traveling is in tabling.

Vice-President Tell us about your experience as the Vice-President of RTN.

I would term my experience as the National Vice President as Prolific. What I learned the most was to be observant; I learned how the association was moving forward and how the dynamics were changing. I traveled for RTIWM in Dubai and HYM in Morocco, which was a fabulous experience. These 12 months flew by, but it was also a very enriching experience.

What challenges do you see in the coming years of RTN ?

Round Table is a Dynamic association, and things can change quickly here.

We’ve had more than 200 new members in the last few years. The biggest challenge is to sustain this growth and take them forward so that the association benefits from this new energy being instilled into Round Table Nepal, and each new member as well as an old one, can continuously find the zeal within them to keep going.

How do you feel, now that you will be the RTN President next year ?

Becoming Round Table Nepal President is a responsibility that is too big to be true. When I joined the movement, even in my wildest dreams, I didn’t think I would reach here one day. The legacy of RT Nepal boasts of some of the finest people in Nepal’s Business and Social circles. The legacy of RTN gives you shoes too big to fill. Even during my tenure as National Secretary, I did not see this coming. Still, eventually, I did take the plunge, and here I am, ready to take up this incredible opportunity and work towards the betterment of this fabulous movement we call Tabling.

What was the transition like from Secretary to VP ?

As a National Secretary, you are required to be on the job all the time, whereas, being a VP, you are preparing yourself for the coming year ahead. The transition was easy because for two years, my job required me to be in the thick of things, compared to now where my role was

to assist where needed, and essentially to plan for the coming year. It gave me a much-needed break to recharge my energies and see the functioning of RTN’s current president alongside him. These insights will help me a lot during my tenure as the President.

What do you think are the most important things that a president must have to lead ?

I would say the two very important attributes would be Humility & Planning. There are a lot of other essential traits, but these would be on top of my list for now. The dynamics of this association are very different from other such organizations, we are friends first here hence if we are not humble, we miss the most crucial part of this movement which is camaraderie. Like everything in life, planning is vital in Round Table too. We all work towards the growth and stature of the association, and it’s important that we are planned in this Endeavour of ours. Planning can enhance our efforts to the extent that it benefits one and all.

Any further plans in the RT Nepal board ?

I will surely want to lead the organization once, but before that, I think I still need to travel and learn a lot.

Mr. Secretary, how was the ride? They say it’s roughest for the secretary.

To be honest, it has been exhausting and rewarding at the same time. At times it feels like there’s way more work than expected, but again the appreciation you get for the work and zeal to leave a mark keeps you moving.

There is much work that goes around as the secretary. How did you balance your social and business life and still justify your role as the secretary of Round Table Nepal ?

As a Secretary, I have socialized with people outside my family more than I used to. I don’t know if I have been able to keep a balance, but now that the term is about to end, I think I managed it well somehow. My family has undoubtedly been a great support the entire year.

A secretary cannot function without the proper inputs from fellow Tablers. Any special mention to your well-wishers and support through your tenure ?

To fulfill this role, I always had indefinite support from President Anand Bahety and Editor Vimal Baid, my two strong pillars. Moreover, I think an association as big as RT cannot function without team effort and support from each 20

Executive member. They always contribute directly/indirectly towards better functioning and execution of the association.

Words of advice for the budding Tablers and future Board members.

Without a second thought, go for it.

Travel as much as you can, go out and make as many friends as you can, don’t wait, be the first one. Overall, you’ll create lifetime memories and become a better person.

Some people refer to you as the cute secretary, especially at LC events.

Any comments ?

Haha. I’ll take it as a compliment.

How much has your personality changed after you joined Tabling?

Tabling helps you build some of the muchrequired qualities like social skills, communication skills, being a team player, etc. It has definitely helped me on all of these fronts.

National Treasurer How did you get into Round Table ?

We had an in-group of 5 friends whom Tr Vinay Kabra from BFRT8 approached in early 2010 to join Round Table. He briefed us about the Tabling movement and invited us to their socials. By the time we could make up our minds, we were also approached

by BYRT13 & BRT3 in a similar manner. After many discussions, we took a leap of faith and ended up joining the senior table, BRT3, where all active members were 9/10 years senior to us. We were inducted on 25th Dec. 2010 at a Christmas social hosted by BRT3, and since then, there has been no looking back. It was the best decision we took and one that inspired us to enjoy tabling to the fullest and to live and grow the legacy of Tabling.

How were your fellow board members ?

Give one-liner for each one of them.

Other than being good friends, I can attribute the following to them (somewhat cryptic too): Anand – Meticulous planner and straightforward.

Saurabh – Highly Passionate about tabling, ONLY. Govind – Great guy. Tabling gets him ‘HIGH’.

Rahul – True marketeer, for RTN too Vimal – Good Vibes only. Multitalented.

How does it feel to hold the prestigious role of Treasurer in one of the most transparent non-profit social organizations ?

It is indeed an honor to be at the pedestal of this exciting movement, and I hope I have played my part well.

National Treasurer means a lot of money, asking for money, giving out money, how difficult was it ?

It is not difficult if you are organized and keep things updated. However, there are apprehensions sometimes as money is involved, but you learn with time as it’s not in your scope to make decisions on spending.

Being a part of the National Board does it take a toll on your business or social life ?

Well, you know what you are getting into when you decide to be at the helm of things. I personally feel that it adds to your social and business life, rather than taking a toll, whether you are a National Board Members, or a Floor Tabler. The only exception to this would probably be the National president.

During your tenure, you must have met many Tablers who motivated or inspired you in tabling life and also in your personal life, mention them.

Yes, indeed!! The first person that has always inspired me is Tr. Manoj Das, who has taught me to put in our efforts honestly to achieve the emotional satisfaction you get from social activities in Tabling and to always place Fellowship as a priority.

Tr. Vishnu Agrawal, who has inspired me to shower unconditional support to your fellow Tablers, Tr. Satish Sarawagi to be the leader of sorts, Tr. Rishi Chainwala, for doing things with utmost ease, Tr. Aakash Golchha for being the party animal that he is. Similarly, other friends have inspired me in some manner or the other.

How did you manage to get through continuous 4 years on the National Board ?

Make that 5 years my friend, you forgot I had two years as the President ;) When I took up the National Secretary in 2017-18, I just wanted to experience what is it like to take up the responsibility at the National Board but never thought it would be such a long stint up there. It’s been quite a journey, and I have loved every bit of it at the headboard but now I am craving to be at the RTN meetings as a Floor Tabler.

What message would you like to give to our young Tablers, who aspire of leading RTN one day ?

To all the young Tablers out there, if you want to make the most out of this movement then travel out of your own tables, your own cities, and your own country, and then you will truly get to experience the real taste of tabling. I would urge you to be actively involved in this beautiful movement of tabling as it offers tremendous opportunities for personal growth and trying your hand at new things. I know there are a lot of Tablers out there with a lot of zeal and enthusiasm waiting to unleash their true potential and I will definitely keep a close eye on these future leaders of RTN.

New elect Chairman of ASPA, how does it feel? What are your plans as ASPA Chairman ?

I don’t think it has still sunk in and to be very honest I don’t have any plans right now. I think it’s high time I start making a plan ;) Honestly more than the plans, I am excited for the opportunity to get to know the associations more closely with respect to their culture, projects, and fellowships, and work with these dynamic individuals of each association.

Been there and done it all, what does tabling mean to you ?

I wouldn’t say done it all, as I still aspire to host some international events in Nepal and get the experience of International tabling for Tablers of Nepal. Tabling for me has been an enriching experience, which I have thoroughly enjoyed over the last many years, it’s something very close to my heart and it’s definitely a big part of my life.

What motivates you to take such important posts and devote so much time and energy to tabling ?

The only way to do great work is to love what you do and tabling for me is exactly that. Tabling is a journey, which I embarked upon 12 years back, and Boy! what an amazing ride it has been. I have been fortunate to experience the best of tabling over the years and I can definitely say that Round Table is my stress buster, my happy place, my learning ground, and my soul-satisfying avenue and when it’s adding so much value to my life I don’t think time and energy is an issue at all.

It is good to see the sideby-side activities that RTN has initiated with LCN and Club 41. Definitely, the RT Family and its objectives are being lived here.

First of all, I would like to extend my best wishes to Vimal for the publication of another issue of the annual magazine ARTEAN Having witnessed the tabling activities of RTN so closely in the last year, it is heartening to see the success that RTN has achieved. May it be any facet of tabling fellowship, service projects, or Leadership and Personality Development workshops, every program itself is setting its benchmark. The growth that RTN has achieved this year is commendable and more so, having footprints in new cities makes our presence wider. I would like to extend my best wishes to Tr. Anand Bahety, President RTN, and his entire team for leading by example and setting a strong legacy. The growth that RTN has achieved in the last couple of years has been tremendous, and the ideas used by the teams can be a good learning story for many other associations as well.

It is really good to see the enhancement in the branding of RTN. I would like to congratulate all the clubs of Nepal for their efforts to communicate and promote Round Table in all the activities they are doing. It is creating awareness among the general public about the difference we Tablers make in building a better community.

Finally, being from RTN and getting the opportunity to serve Round Table International as its President for 2022-23 makes all of us proud. It is tough to find words to express my gratitude for the love, support, and guidance that the RTN fraternity has given me. I am looking forward to the next year and hope to leave a mark at the international level. I would also like to express my best wishes to Tr. It’s been a full circle journey through Round Table and the outside world and back to the Round Table family of Clubs.

Round Table Nepal !!!

Greetings from 41 Clubs Nepal.

I retired from Round Table Nepal in 2018 and have been involved with quite a few organisations like Chamber of Commerce and Industries, Engineer’s Association, Red Cross, Rotary, etc. after my stint with Round Table.

The experience was extremely enriching and worth it. It’ll go a long way in shaping me for my future. But it’ll be the Round Table grooming that’s been the most valuable and enriching. I still find myself putting to use things I learned during my Round Table days. I believe that Round Table will be part of me until my ripe old days.

Therefore, 41 Clubs Nepal, was born on 29 July 2022. So I’m back to my roots in another way. It’s been like a homecoming. We have had a great kick start with our Charter Ceremony which was well attended by 41ers from Germany and India in addition to our own 41ers from Kathmandu, Biratnagar and Birgunj. 41er Simon Achim, IRO, Old Tablers Club Germany, 41er Englebert Friedsam, President, 41 International 2016-2017, 41er Pankaj Singh, President, Association of 41 Clubs of India, Tr Jayant Agarwal, President-Elect, Round Table International, Tr Anand Bahety, President, Round Table Nepal, Cr Arti Agarwal, Chairman, APAC Region, Ladies Circle International and Cr Dr. Kopila Agarwal, President, Ladies Circle Nepal were some of the dignitaries present during the Charter Ceremony. We are a 4 Club organization presently and have 53 members. We are looking to add to this strength in the coming days.

We will be looking to strengthen and solidify our 41 Clubs Nepal in the upcoming year. Our legal registration process is underway and should be completed in about a month. We look forward to working closely with Round Table and Ladies Circle Nepal in their projects and other activities to get ourselves going.

We aim to do small things rightly which will lead us to build firm roots for our nascent Club.

Greetings from Ladies Circle Nepal!!

I am delighted and honored to have been asked to convey my message to the RTN fraternity. Firstly, a heartfelt congratulations to RTN President Tr. Anand Bahety, the National Board and all the Tablers of Round Table Nepal for an Outstanding year 2021-2022.

This year the kind of support and cooperation I received from my Co-president Tr. Anand and whole RTN family is so overwhelming and highly appreciable and for that, I’m eternally grateful.

I’ll never forget the support, respect, and affection I have always received from Tr. Anand and RTN Family as a whole especially during the most difficult times of my life when I lost Tr Dr. Bimal Agrawal and in my journey as president in LC Nepal. Round Table Nepal has been a blessing in my life; like they say, “Brother from another Mother.”

We had so many side-by-side events across the year. I am glad we could work together, eat together & party together as a family. One of the most significant opportunities for LC Nepal was to participate in NLC “IGNITE” organized by RTN. It was an overwhelming and much-needed platform. We could not have asked for a better learning experience, especially for the future generations of LCN. RT Nepal has always played a significant role in the growth and achievements of LC Nepal.

The Sugandha Thalassemia project, which was initiated by Tr Dr. Bimal is reaching new heights and it is something very close to my heart. I cannot thank enough BPRT 11 and RTN for taking this initiative to another level.

The vision and passion of President Tr Anand Bahety have galvanized so many activities and New inductees into proud and passionate Tablers. A massive congratulation to Tr. Anand for the much deserving awards and recognition at the International Level!! Traveling with him and participating in “Train The Trainer” at Coimbatore and knowing him personally was a great learning experience.

What a splendid year it has been for Round Table Nepal. RTN has been a shining jewel in the crown of ASPA for the year 21-22. Under the dynamic leadership of President Anand Bahety, Nepal has excelled and contributed in every facet impactfully.

It was my utmost honour and pleasure to have witnessed the Charter of Nepalgunj and been part of the inauguration of several community service and Freedom Through Education projects. It was extremely emotional and overwhelming to see the huge impact RTN has on the local community while maintaining the true spirit of fellowship & brotherhood.

Round Table Nepal is globally known for its excellent hospitality. During the recent times of COVID, hosting and traveling reduced significantly, but it was heartwarming to see the participation of delegates from RT Nepal at most of the International, Regional & InterNation events throughout the year. The true essence of tabling is traveling, and I am proud to say that RT Nepal has gone above and beyond to make its presence felt at most events.

Heartiest congratulations to Tr. Vimal Baid & Tr. Anand Bahety for being awarded the ASPA Region Star recognition. It is a proud moment for all of us that Tr. Saurabh Kedia (Past President RT Nepal) will be taking up the mantle of ASPA Chairman 22-23. Dear Brothers in RT Nepal, Firstly, it gives me great pleasure to send greetings to all of you and congratulations on another brilliant edition of the renowned ARTEAN Magazine.

I have seen the growth of RT Nepal as an association for the last few years and what you have achieved over the years is phenomenal. Reaching over 500 members is a significant achievement for any association, and you gentlemen have done it in style.

The commitment you have towards community service projects is admirable, and this includes the flagship projects such as Freedom Through Education and Educate a Child, as well as other projects, including Sugandh Thalassemia Project. I know that you have raised a significant amount of funds for community service and have created a special place in the heart of your communities.

Your devotion to training, development, and constant improvement must be applauded. I understand that you are conducting your own LAPD events and encourage the younger Tablers to participate in the same.

RT Nepal has always been present at international events. It has occupied a vibrant position internationally.

Congratulations on becoming the host for the RTI Half Year Meeting in 2024. I’m sure it will be a great show, just like what you did in organizing the RTI World Meeting in 2016. Now, of course, you have an incoming president of Round Table International from your home association which I know you are very proud of.

Gentlemen, you have lived our theme for the year of #StrongerTogether. I have seen the amazing sideby-side events you have organized along with Ladies Circle, and I sincerely hope you will keep doing the same in the future.

Last but not least, what I love most about RT Nepal, are its members. I have known quite a few of them and have made lifelong friendships. You are a vibrant, fun-loving bunch of Tablers who have always been exceptionally hospitable.

I applaud you for making RTI initiatives a success with over 1800 pints of blood donation!

My tabling journey started because of my introduction to the then ASPA Chairman Tr. Akash Golcha back in 2017 and it has been a joy ride ever since!

The world accolades of the hospitality and love that you all bestow upon the Nepal travellers that it becomes a memory to cherish! I feel proud to say Nepal is more of a home for my family than Singapore is!

I feel honored to have been part of the several initiatives I witnessed last year during my travel across tabling centers in Nepal.

Growth by 100+ members in a year is globally unprecedented in recent years. Raising Charity funds have been extremely challenging since Covid, and you have successfully raised a whooping EUR 200,000 is a milestone in itself.

Education has been one of the prime pillars of community service for RT Nepal, and you have excelled with increasing the Educate a Child program to over 400 students with many new classrooms built across several locations.

RT Nepal’s dedication and commitment to the movement are raved about and have always been something of admiration in the tabling fraternity. This year you have yet again set the bar even higher not just for yourself but also globally!

Round Table Nepal, take a bow and accept my sincere gratitude for all the hard work of each and every one of your members!

Warm greetings to all my brothers in Nepal!!!

It is my honour and privilege to address you on behalf of the 60th Diamond Jubilee board of Round Table India. At the outset, heartfelt gratitude to all of you for being super Tablers and a great support system to our beloved association.

I would like to congratulate President Tr Anand and his team for the impeccable fashion in which they have led the activities of RT Nepal through the last tabling year. Tabling in Nepal has reached new heights this year with activities happening in all facets. Special mention to the school projects done under the banner of Freedom through Education. Round Table Nepal has seen some good growth in inductions as well as new tables being formed. I would like to thank RT Nepal for participating in the LAPD programs done by RT India.

RT India and RT Nepal have always shared an excellent relationship and have stood with each other through thick and thin. I think the bonding between Tablers of Nepal and India is incomparable and the results show in our joint activities. Before I end, I would like to congratulate my dear friend and brother Tr. Jayant Agarwal on taking up the highest mantle of our association. I am sure as the president of RT International you are going to make us all super proud!!!!

The rise of Nepal has been truly inspirational. The way RTN has weaved its space in RT International and is becoming a huge force to reckon with is a perfect case study in itself.

Dai, Round Table Nepal has become my second home. The love, brotherhood, and hospitality showered on me is simply exceptional and will go a long way in forging unbreakable bonds between India & Nepal.

It was a moment of truth for me to become National Honorary Tabler for RT Nepal and share space with legends like Manoj Kumar Das. A BIG Thanks to President Anand Bahety for the same.

From Next & Text to National Leadership Conclave to Train The Trainers and numerous table level LAPD programs. Today, RTN boasts of its inhouse trainers’ team. Going forward LAPD is going to lay a strong foundation for all the new generations of Tablers.

Nostalgia sets in today as I sign off as the National Honorary Tabler of RT Nepal 2021-22. I first visited Nepal on the invite of Manoj Kumar Das for the NEX Training program in 2010. It was the vision of Manoj Dai, which was taken forward by Saurabh Dai and we had the first organized NExT & TExT at Nagarkot in 2019-20. Taking the legacy forward, Anand Dai broke all records and took LAPD to a new high. Dr. Kopila was instrumental in putting LC Nepal on the LAPD map. Now further taking it forward, Jayant Dai has opened endless dimensions to LAPD by taking it to all 57 Associations of Round Table International. Salute to Visionaries and True Leaders.

This has been a year of exception with 100+ Extensions, Swashbuckling RTI Week, 400+ EAC Students Supported, LAPD Programmes, FTE Schools Inauguration, CSR Tie-ups, Fund Raisers and of course the Mast Signature Fellowship of Nepal. We say, life starts at 40 and now I know why Round Table has an age limit of 40.

Before this age, we are taught how to adapt to things and how to improve our way of living. In my 17 years of RT journey , I learned what true fellowship is and how happy you feel after you pay back to the society. I feel proud to have headed RTN in my youth years and I believe this has changed my way of thinking and my lifestyle.

As it’s said, वसुधैव कुटुम्बकम् , my journey to RTN started with handful of friends and now I have a huge family of more than 350 friends. This is what RT has given to me.

Words aren’t enough to express what RTN has taught and given me and I’m eternally grateful for all the endless memories that I carry along.

Tabling is a platform that has also helped many learn and conquer their fears. it has also brought and opened many doors of opportunities for our lot, from travel to business to making new friends.

FLOOR TABLER of the Year

It seems like only yesterday that my tabling experience in Biratnagar Platinum Round Table 11 began in March 2019.

Being inducted into a table that has given two previous National Presidents was a significant factor that fuelled and facilitated the route to making the most of the Tabling.

Every national and international event I could join allowed me to learn, explore, and experience the essence of Tabling. Meeting other enthusiastic and proud Tablers along the line was an excellent motivator for me never to miss these events.

The Round Table has given me far more than I have been able to return. Attending the NLC-LAPD Session in Sauraha was one of those moments and a highlight for me since it gave me an opportunity to grow. It is not always simple to express yourself, to provide your perspective or stance on issues with which you agree or disagree. But attending NLC has given me the confidence to stand up for myself and taught me that if you look for answers, you will always find people who respond to and assist you. Just another beauty of Tabling.

Attending tabling events at multiple tables across the country, enjoying fellowships, and fundraisers, promoting the tabling movement, and always being available for tabling brothers provided a unique feeling of satisfaction and pride.

I never imagined it, but it all came as a surprise, a motivation, and a moment to be proud of when I received the prestigious title of Best Floor Tabler 2019-21 at RTN’s 21st NAGM. The trophy was in my hands, and the then-President of RTN, Tr. Saurabh Kedia, and his better half, Mitali, were right alongside me, smiling and praising me; it was a memorable occasion. It is a once-in-a-lifetime experience to witness pals you didn’t know existed two years ago reveling in your joy—a genuine sense of brotherhood.

It’s been a year, and with the extra role of national convener, it brings me great satisfaction and a sense of obligation to enjoy the ride while also justifying the faith placed in you.

Thanks to Tabling for all the fantastic moments thus far, and I eagerly await more.

Tr. Vimal S Baid – National Editor of Round Table Nepal, given the ASPA Star award, for the excellent work done in the extension of Nepalgunj Phoenix Round Table 32 on the 30th of April, 2022. Tr. Aviral Jain, ASPA Chairman, presented the award.

Kathmandu United Round Table 17 – KURT17, was conferred the esteemed award of Fellowship Club of the Year, ASPA Region by ASPA Chairman Tr. Aviral Jain, for their fantastic work this year in the Fellowship facet of Tabling.

KURT17 led the way with the Unity Drive, which aimed to touch all Tabling Centres of Nepal. The award was presented during the National AGM of Bangladesh Round Table on the 21st of May 2022.

Tr. Anand Bahety – National President of Round Table Nepal, given the ASPA Star award for the exceptional work done by RTNepal, in all facets of Tabling, including record extensions, amazing fundraisers, and CSR Tie-Ups, fellowships, and service projects in the ASPA Region.

This year with the vision to achieve more, RTN President decided to structure the project team with all areas of RTN having their own Area Project Convener, and an experienced leader in the form of Past President LMF Tr. Nikhil Jaisani heading the team.

Educate A Child was also combined with the project team and this decision can see making substantial benefits in the way projects are done in RTN. This year the project team has managed to update the data of RTN projects throughout the country and compiled it into an excel sheet which will be beneficial for future endeavors.

During the RTN Week, Tables all over the country organized Blood Donation Camps & Tree Plantation Drives.

A Good Education is a Foundation for a better Future

Millions of Nepalese children have never, ever been to school. Illiteracy is a self-fulfilling curse that perpetuates the chain of poverty, degradation and child labor. To reach out to this group of underprivileged children, since the year 1999, RT Nepal across the country started adopting projects aimed at providing quality school infrastructure, and then in 1999 this project was formalized and thus born the National Project of Round Table Nepal “Freedom Through Education” – In pursuit of educating underprivileged children Round Table Nepal’s focus on Infrastructure-Building is aimed at promoting Education for Posterity and hence RT Nepal has put in colossal efforts to build FTE School Blocks across the nation.

What exactly do we do through FTE and our school building model ?

Under the FTE program, we Tablers identify needy Schools for underprivileged that are operating from dilapidated or open structures; schools that have land available but little resources to take up big ticket expenditures like Construction. It is here that RT Nepal steps in and builds School Blocks with Amenities across Nepal to help such efforts and hands over newly constructed quality school Blocks to the school bodies.

BFRT8 & BYRT13 had jointly inaugurated 4 classrooms in new school “Shri Tarachand KishanLal Adharbhut Vidhyalaya” which was inaugurated by National President Tr. Anand Bahety on 20th Mar, 2022. Total cost of the project was approx. 24 Lakhs benefiting more than 150 students. Stationery and snacks were also distributed to the school kids.

KERT2 organized a inauguration program of 2 classroom project and a computer lab at Shree Singh Bhairav School, Phakal, Makwanpur on 14-052022 for 70 school children. Cost of the project was 500000.

BRT-27 inaugurated 2 classroom building alongwith boundary wall and main gate in newly adopted school “Chamardhap Primary School” located at Ward-10 in Birtamode Municipality on 29th August, 2022 costing approx 23 lakhs benefitting more than 120 students.

HRT30 inaugurated Drinking Water tank on 26th Nov, 2021 at Shree Adharbhut Prathamik Shikshya Bidyalaya. Total cost of the project was Rs. 1,30,000 benefiting 92 students.

BRT3 inaugurated Sanjay Patwari Computer Lab in Birgunj Round Table Bal Mandir School on 27th Nov, 2021 with a project cost of NPR 9,70,000. The lab will benefit around 350 students of the school.

DART29 along with the support of RTN & BRT 3 inaugurated Sanjay Patwari Lab at Pashupati Sikhsha Mandir, Dhangadhi on 1st May, 2022.

This project will benefit 120 students with a total project cost of NPR 2,80,000.

DRT26 organised Toilet Block Inauguration Program on 24th Dec, 2021 at Shree Ananta Shikshya Jyoti Adharbhut Vidyalaya benefitting 120 students with a total spent of Rs. 290,000.

DRT 26 inaugurated toilet block with washroom in association with Dharan Upamaha Nagarpalika at Sri Samyak Shikshya Adharbhut Vidyalaya on 31st Aug, 2021 on the occasion of Charter Day. Total person benefitted 140 for a total expense of Rs. 225,000.

BRT3 handed over Girls and Boys Toilet Block at Birgunj Round Table Bal Mandir School on 11th July, 2022. It will benefit 350 students of the school. Total expense of the project was around Rs. 4,50,000.

NPRT32 organised inauguration of its project for construction of the toilet block at Nepal Rashtriya Prathmik Vidyalaya, Nepalgunj. A total of 5 blocks for male and female students were constructed at cost of Rs. 5,15,000 benefitting 100 students of the school.

Tuition Fees Support to

Nepal is, economically, a very poor country in which per capita annual income is only about $1035. Rural areas especially suffer from a woeful lack of social and economic infrastructure. Remote villages and rural countryside, many bright children simply don’t have the opportunity to go to school because of their family’s poverty. Yet, with an education, these children will be able to break the cycle of poverty for their families and themselves.

Forty percent of Nepal’s population is illiterate; only about 50% of the girls are literate. However this figure has been improving significantly since past few years because of awareness programs as well as support from individual organizations promoting education, one of them being RTN. Students from schools show a high dropout rate after primary level of education because of poor financial condition or lack of motivation. Schools don’t have sufficient teachers; the ones they have are poorly trained, and schools lack educational materials. School aged children migrate to urban areas to work as domestic servants or laborers. RTN under EAC provides scholarships to underprivileged students from poor financial background, orphans, and those who are differently abled.

Round Table Nepal is changing the future by building schools, training the teachers, providing educational materials, and sponsoring for education fee for children who would otherwise not have the means to attend the school. EAC caters to the most disadvantaged. Through EAC, we help eliminate poverty by uplifting the underprivileged kids by giving them quality education to make them independent for future. Education is the only hope for Nepali children who would otherwise remain illiterate and stuck in an endless cycle of poverty.

A donation of $100 a year is sufficient to provide a year of education to one of these impoverished though deserving children. Your gift will change a child’s life. We would like to appreciate all the current sponsor Tables and Tablers for contributing towards such a noble initiative. Your contribution is making ahuge difference in a child’s life, turning their dreams into reality.Educate a Child project undertaken by Round Table Nepal has been able to support 100 kids so far with contribution of individual Tablers, Tables and the Association. And the outcome has been overwhelming.

MOVEMBER The MOVEMBER Foundation is one of the best-known charities to tackle men’s health on a global scale. As one of the largest of its kind, fighting the men’s health crisis head-on by changing the game in cancer research to improve the quality of men’s health and ultimately STOP MEN FROM DYING TOO YOUNG.

This all started in 2003 when two friends (Travis Garone and Luke Slattery) met up for a quiet beer in Melbourne, Australia, and the idea that sparked Movember was born. The moustache had all but disappeared from fashion trends. Could they bring it back?

They found 30 guys willing to take up the challenge.

Since then, the foundation has grown to over 6 million Mo Bros and Mo Sisters globally and raised a whopping total of €409 million raised since the start in 2003. It has supported and funded 1250 men’s health projects to date. Movember’s success can largely be attributed to the strength of the global community. Regardless of the city in which we live, we are part of something bigger, united by a commitment to help change the face of men’s health.

With Movember becoming an important project for Round Table International, RT Nepal also has been taking up the challenge for the last few years to support this initiative.

For the Movember Men’s Health Awareness Campaigns, Tablers across Nepal did multiple activities this year.

One of the events was the “move for Movember” Campaign. As part of the RTN “Move for Movember” campaign, 200 Tablers, spouses, twinklers, and friends covered a total of approx. 1500 Km(s) to support the cause by doing different physical activities in Nepal. The highlights of which were the Cycle Rally by KTRT25 and BCRT15.

KKRT9 organized various Men’s Health Awareness Seminars at different corporate offices organized by KKRT9. Under this program, Dr. Bishal Dhakal conducted the Movember Men’s Health Awareness seminars at various corporate offices across Kathmandu in association with RTN.

Flight

of Fantasy KURT17 in association with BRT3 organized a Flight of Fantasy for 12 Students & 1 Teacher from Birgunj Round Table Bal Mandir School, Sinduria Mai Prathamik Vidyalaya - Laxmanwa, and Pashupati Shiksha Mandir - Parwanipur on 13th November, 2021. They boarded the flight in morning from Birgunj to Kathmandu and were received at Kathmandu Airport by Tablers from KURT17, BRT3, RTN President, RTN Secretary, RTN Editor and Tablers from KTRT25.

The students were later taken to Kathmandu Fun Park where they joined 12 Students & 1 Teacher from Maya Ghar. The Children had a fun time wherein they enjoyed varieties of rides. KURT17 Tablers also had great time as they also joined the children in the rides.

After a fun time at the fun park, the students were taken for lunch at Bakery Café, Jawalakhel where they had good food. Tr. Anirudh Budhia, RT India IRO also graced the event by visiting us for some time. He praised the efforts of both the tables.

The children were then taken to ZOO for an educational visit where they saw various animals and learnt about them. After the ZOO visit, children & teacher from Birgunj took a flight back to their home town and reached safely to their home. The children and teacher from Maya Ghar were dropped at Maya Ghar by Tablers.

Summarizing the whole event, all the children, teachers and Tablers had a wonderful time and everyone enjoyed a lot.

The conveners for the event were Tr. Sumit Mittal, Tr. Vinay Ghoriwala, Tr. Akash Agrawal, and it was a joint initiative of KURT17 and BRT3.

Sugandh Thalassemia Project was initiated by late Tr. Dr. Bimal Agrawal.

Late Dr. Bimal’s hard work, dedication, selfless efforts, precise planning, and execution have taken Sugandh Thalassemia Project to greater heights and kept this dream project running.

Sugandh Care Foundation provided a supporting hand together with Round Table Nepal both in terms of financial funds & guidance when and where required.

Young Energetic Tr. Dr. Rajesh Yadav (MD pediatrics) is taking this project ahead with the same energy as before.

117 patients are currently registered under this project and are getting benefits from the treatments on a regular basis at Balbalika Clinic, Biratnagar under his expert supervision.

Dr. Rajesh says, “Tr. Dr. Bimal Agrawal initiated this project, and we are making sure to further his legacy by taking it forward. It was Dr. Bimal’s vision to serve patients suffering from the genetic disorder “Thalassemia” that has led and gotten us to this platform whereby we are now rendering all possible services to 117 patients and counting. Presently, we have 117 registered patients taking regular services in Biratnagar”.

900,000 births of clinically significant thalassemia disorders expected to occur in the next 20 years. It is a disease which requires continuous treatment and support throughout the lifetime of the individual.

Treatment: -

Treatment depends on the type and severity, and often includes: • Regular blood transfusions • Iron chelator, and folic acid tablets • Occasionally, a bone marrow transplant may also be an option.

Number of Patients Registered: - 117 Benefits provided under the project:

Rs 370 subsidy is provided on every pint of blood taken from Biratnagar Blood Bank.

Free Medicine, Tablet Defrijet & Folic Acid 5mg are being provided on regular basis to patients.

Free Serum Ferritin Tests at SRL Lab, Biratnagar.

Free OPD Services are being provided by Tr. Dr. Rajesh Yadav at Bal Balika Clinic, Biratnagar.

Free Cannula for blood transfusion.

A patient today is incurring only Rs. 2400/- per year, for which they were spending approximately Rs 40,000/- in the past before getting registered with Sugandh Thalassemia Project.

Explaining Thalassemia

Thalassemia is a genetically inherited blood disorder in which the body makes an abnormal form of hemoglobin. The disorder results in excessive destruction of red blood cells, which leads to anemia. Thalassemia was first clinically described nearly a century ago, and treatment of this widespread genetic disease has greatly advanced during this period. Thalassemia is a growing global public health problem, with an estimated 84

Foundation Day 11th March- 17 March, 2022 Blood Donation Drive – RT Nepal did a Nation-wide Blood Donation Drive to celebrate RTI week and collected 1136 pints of Blood. This is the highest ever blood collected by RT Nepal.

The average pint collected per Tablers accounts to 2.5 pints per Tabler. By the initiative we should be able to impact about 3400 people in need of blood.

RTI Week Fellowship – Fellowships were organized in all 4 areas of RT Nepal to celebrate RTI Week.

Freedom Through Education Projects – RT Nepal inaugurated a new 4 classroom school block for Shri Tarachand Kishan Lal Aadharbhut Achool, Birgunj with an investment of about USD 20,000. It was a joint project by BFRT8 and BYRT13.

Foundation stones were laid for a new 4 classroom block by BPRT11 and a Computer Lab by DART29 in their adopted FTE Projects.

Why is men’s fashion important ?

Look around and what do you see? Men who just don’t seem to care. You see ultimate style sins, ill-fitting clothing, poor colour combinations, clashing patterns, a lack of attention to detail, and blind trend chasing. The list goes on and on. It doesn’t take much to break from the sea of unkempt guys out there.

Here’s the million-dollar question: why don’t more men dress like they give a damn ?

I think a big part has to do with not knowing where to start. And not knowing what dressing well actually looks like. Another reason being that style and dressing up is associated with fashion, and “fashion is for girls.” Or a man might be perceived as gay for dressing stylishly.

Many men just don’t believe it’s all that important. And that’s fine.

It takes some guys a bit longer to realize the power in dressing well.

Style in Our Time

When it comes to style today, people think of GQ or fashion runways.

Magazines like GQ and Details are are full of advertisements and usually too fashion forward and trendy. These magazines simply don’t appeal to everyday men, making them apathetic towards the subject. Men figure that they just aren’t stylish or could never pull off the look.

To make matters worse, when a man does try to “up” his style, he’s sure to face criticism from family and friends. Of course they mean well, but it will take them some time to get used to the new you.

And as for trends, of course they

have a place in men’s style. After all, cargo shorts and v-neck tees are trends. We all follow them to an extent. I advocate experimenting with trends because it’s a part of the process in developing one’s style, but it’s easy to go overboard.

A surefire way to consistently dress sharp is to know your wardrobe essentials. By having awareness of what you’re wearing and how you wear it, you’ll be sure to look great when looking back decades from now. I’m also of the mindset that fashion and style are not one in the same.

Fashion is trendy and expensive, it fades over time. Style, on the other hand, is timeless and can be affordable. The classic staples will always be “in style.” Gentleman, it’s time to embrace this renaissance by looking inward.

The clothes won’t make the man, but they can break him. People judge and form opinions about us in a matter of seconds. The first thing people notice is our appearance.

It may be shallow, but it’s human nature.

When we have nothing else to go by, we classify people as competent or incompetent based on their style. A poorly dressed man will be seen as incompetent and unkempt in other areas of his life, regardless of how successful he is. You want to give the best representation of who you are from the start.

By dressing up, you can show up knowing that you’re putting your best self forward.

Your confidence will skyrocket and people will notice.

Who tells Your Story ?

You want to dress comfortably, you want to dress appropriately for the situation, and you want to dress in a way that tells your story the way you want to tell it. Personal style is unique to you. It’s okay to mirror what you like, but ultimately it’s about putting your own spin on it. You want to develop a personal style that reflects the man on the inside. And in time you will find that dressing well becomes effortless—and that ease carries through to other parts of your life as well.

It’s simple: the better you dress, the better you feel, and the more inspired you will be to take action, to tackle the plans and goals you’ve been kicking around in your head for all these years. But first, what kind of story do you want to tell ?

There is a renaissance happening, gentleman.

Men are striving to dress better and learning the importance of why it pays to be a stylish man. They are inspiring others to be their best selves. The men who put thought and effort into developing their personal style are in a position to live better in all aspects of life.

I’ve talked about this men’s style renaissance as it pertains to dressing well. It is worth noting that a man’s style goes beyond his outward appearance. Style is about more than the clothes you wear. It’s who you are on the inside and how you present yourself to the outside world. It’s having appreciation and cultivating gratitude.

And most importantly it’s about how you live your life. Ultimately, style comes from within.

Why is fashion so important ?

Fashion has the ability to change and shape lives through its personal connection to us all. We all have to wear clothes and every piece of clothing we buy represents a personal choice – it is this intrinsically human relationship between us and our fashion that makes it political.

How dressing well affects your life ?

Research shows that what you wear to work can not only impact how others perceive you, it can also affect how well you perform at your job, how you perceive yourself and your abilities, and even how quickly you move up the professional ladder.

Can clothes change your personality ?

Science says that the clothes we wear affect our behavior, attitudes, personality, mood, confidence, and even the way we interact with others. This is “Enclothed Cognition“.

Coordinators It was a pleasure and honor to work for the largest Area of RTN as the Area1 Coordinator.

Given the opportunity, it was very confusing at the beginning, but support of all the Area 1 Tables and support from National Board and National Conveners, everything started to work as for the plan, and the plan was very simple Service Through Fellowship. Regular meetings, projects and above all regular fellowships after the Covid era, I think we have bonded back and recharged to move ahead with higher enthusiasm and zeal.

Coffee Meet and Quarterly Area fellowship created superb memories, ZEST was an event which was loved my many and Beer Fest and Treasure Quest were cherry on top. I would like to heartly thank each and every Tabler of Area1 who have been superb in their own way tackling all challenges here and there and keeping the movement going forward.

I feel that I have grown as an individual because of this opportunity.

Flashback to approximately a year ago, I received a call from the then President elect, Tr. Anand Bahety. He wanted to know if I was interested in continuing as the Area 2 Coordinator for a full new term, as I had taken up the job midway. Initially, I was skeptical, but decided to take it up as a challenge to myself.

In Hindsight, I stand a tall and a content Tabler. I may not have done the job to perfection but I have done it to the best of my abilities. It is one of the most dynamic areas, and hence, all the more challenging. The Tablers here are filled with ideas, aspirations and so much zeal in them. However, with this comes a basket full of memories, joy, a lifetime of experience, and friends for life. Few of the highlights of my tenure are: • Highest collection in blood donation; in both RTI/RTN week and day • Felicitation of local body election winners • Organization of first ever APT in the area • Organization of First Aid Education Program • Organization of first ever sport fellowship, Badminton, under Zest, during the 3rd NEX • Most visited area by Our President Reflecting back, I think that I would have almost all the boxes tick marked against the plans for this year. I would like to thank the President, my Table and my fellow Area Tablers for supporting me through the entire tabling year.

This was a win-win situation for Area-3.

I would like to acknowledge sincere gratitude and respect towards RTN and specially President Anand Bahety Dai for always supporting me on all activities.

It is indeed an honour and privilege to be coordinating one of the most active tabling Areas of RTN and I did try my best to do what is best for Area-3 and RTN. One of the biggest challenges was to convince BFRT-8 & BYRT-13 to do joint projects but with the support of our President & Tablers of both table we could make it happen, and that too in grand style. It was one of the finest project executed in a very short span of time that we have seen recently.

Few events, NEX & Fellowships were jointly organized by all 4 tables of Area-3 which further strengthened the bond between Tablers and Tables , disagreements, and discussions, were also there but they contributed to making our bond even stronger.

To be part of the National Council as Area 4 Coordinator was an amazing experience for me.

I got to make new friends and got a chance to work not only with my Table but with other tables in my Area very closely. In short, got the opportunity to feel the real essence of tabling.

Some of the highlights of this year are: We Had • 4 joint fellowships in our area.

• 2 sports meets.

• One coffee meet.

• Area 4 successfully celebrated the RTI week wherein more than 350 pints of blood were collected in Area 4 and many other activities were done.

• Area 4 also celebrated RTN day beautifully, wherein Tree Plantation, Blood Donation, and Health Checkups were conducted by the Tables of the Area.

One of the biggest achievements of my time as the coordinator was that we were able to create a great bond and connection between the tables of Area 4.

This all was only possible because of the support of the tables of Area 4 and the National Board, especially our Nat. President Anand Dai.

JUNBEER CARNIVAL Junbeer Carnival!!!, an event fun filled with beers and peers. A fundraising event for a noble cause of building a school for special kids challenged with Autism and Down Syndrome. This funfilled event was organized at The Malla Hotel on the 18th of June 2022, where around 800 people gathered together to enjoy the live music, and DJ and were busy beating the heat with chilled beer and drinks.

The event was hosted by Round Table Nepal and its member Table KIRT-7.

This event was the first step towards the success of the mission “School for Special” and was supported by various beer brands, insurance partners, DJ partners, and a few coupon partners who helped in making it a grand event in such a short span of time. The event was mainly focused on four elements which were games, food, drinks, and music, while also having a few promotional stalls for businesses.

Now the main question is WHY BEERFEST ?

Various people asked us during our planning that “How can a liquor-based event be used to create awareness for Education?” The answer is, “Today’s generation doesn’t sit for 2-3 hours to learn something, but if they are given an opportunity to chill and enjoy, they will be willing to spend an entire day in the event. So, to gather that crowd together under one roof and bring this 106

topic would be a lot more beneficial than doing some awareness speech or campaign. We also organized a Press Meet on the 9th of June, which was hosted by The Malla Hotel in which we announced our carnival and “School for Special” mission. Our carnival was a funfilled family event as it had kid games, table games, drinks, food and entertainment, and music, which everyone enjoyed to their fullest. The event had started at 11 o clock and guests started to come from 12 o clock, more than half of the crowd stayed till late in the evening 9-10 p.m. as they enjoyed the vibe and music the event provided. The support we got from The Malla Hotel was also incredible, as they were supportive of our every idea and helped us to plan the event with no hiccups.

The event was successful with an income of 6-8 lacs which would be deposited in the project account and be used for the School Building Project as everyone knows, Roundtable is a zero-overhead organization. In the end, various people were ready to support the cause and give a helping hand to the project. The National Board was also very impressed with the initiative and the way our team revived out glory days. As it’s said, “Charity starts from home, but it should not end there.” That’s how Round Table starts its missions. Firstly, the organization and members contribute towards the cause and later out seek to the bigger family.

GIRLS ON WHEELS 3.0 8th March 2022

On INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S DAY, Biratnagar Prime Round Table – 10 organized its flagship mega fundraiser, GIRLS ON WHEELS 3.0, an event dedicated to the females of Biratnagar.

“GIRLS ON WHEELS 3.0” was a scooter Treasure Hunt where the participants had to follow a trail of clues placed at different locations within the city. A time limit of 150 minutes had been allotted, covering all clue points with a speed requirement. A team consisted of two players, i.e., the rider and the pillion rider. The team which reached all the tasks points performed all the tasks and reached the finish with maximum points won. This event tested not only the riding abilities but also the participants’ mental skills.

Participants: GOW 3.0 witnessed 102 teams as participants.

Treasure Venue: 10 Treasure Venues in Biratnagar were located around the city, with cue cards given to each participant for the following location. The participants had to perform a fun-filled task at each treasure venue to grab maximum points.

Prizes: Prizes for 1 Lakh were given to the Winners, including 1st Runner Up and 2nd Runner Up. Each participating team was awarded a participation certificate and goodies bag.

Stage Show: Several artists performed after the completion of the treasure hunt, including dance performances, a live singing band, instrumental performance, and live playback singing by Trishna Gurung, being the highlight of the show.

The participants also had a session for a talent show during the event.

Grand Success: The event was a grand success, and several excellent testimonials were received from the participants, sponsors, and visitors.

Treasure Quest KERT2 & KCRT12 organized a Treasure Quest on 2nd July, 2022. The event was flagged off by RTI VP LMF Tr. Jayant Agrawal, RTN President Anand Bahety & RTN Past President Akash Golchha. A total of 16 car participated with a total number of 45 participants. The total amount collected from this fundraiser was Rs. 286,740.

BRT3 organised RTN Treasure Quest on 7th May 2022. 50 participants divided in 15 teams completed various physical talks and solved various clues to move on to next locations in and around Birgunj. It was a fun filled event for all the people involved. BRT3 raised an amount of Rs. 211000.

SPORTS MONTH A new initiative was undertaken this year, ZEST Sports Fellowship Month.

Deviating slightly from the regular fellowships, it was planned to do sports fellowships across the tabling fraternity, bringing all Tablers, Families, and Children to come together and enjoy some indoor and outdoor sports.

UNITY DRIVE

KATHMANDU UNITED ROUND TABLE 17 Fellowship – is an integral part of our movement and one of the most amazing aspects of tabling.

KURT17 has been into tabling for more than a decade now but the extensive and applaudable extensions we had these past 2 year into our tabling fraternity were commendable. Our RTN family got extended by large and we did not get a chance to meet and interact with most of them in person, mainly due to the pandemic.

Most of us meet each other at one National event or the other but only limited people from a table practically travel for National events. So, an idea popped up in our mind.

Can we meet, have fellowships with Tablers of all tables in one tabling year ?

This was the curiosity that led to Necklace Drive – a fellowship movement to travel and meet all Tablers in their very own city, touching all 12 Tabling Cities of Nepal within a tabling year in person. Tr. Sumit Mittal, Tr. Jitu Agarwal, Tr. Pravesh Agrawal & Tr. Prakash Roongta took the lead for the Necklace Drive and successfully completed visits to each tabling center in a tabling year.

We must admit that it was an excellent idea and initiative and opportunity to have joint fellowship at various places and meet best friends - for the first time.

The best part of the trip was yet to come, on the return by river route Most people aim of doing this when there is time. But exactly how many of us exactly get to do that ?

Well, I’m fortunate to enjoy together in this beautiful movement called Round Table. For me, tabling is extended college life.

My dream of exploring upper Nepal began last year when I saw the flyer of Ford Adventure Drive enthusiastically organized by our Past President, Tr. Akash Golcha. It was the Tilicho trek. What a trip it was !

Now it is Ford Drive to Lomanthang 2022 – A river route adventure.

Well, I have heard of Mustang the Forbidden Kingdom since childhood but I hadn’t planned to tour it yet.

Ford came up with this complete and exclusive package. I must be among the first ones who register it right away as I was waiting for it since my last trip.

We started our journey from Pokhara.

All of us were exuberant to raid the hills and burn the rubber. Convoy stickers were on every bonnet now. We began our journey with screams. The road till Jomsom was mesmerizing. Every 114

view was photogenic. At Tatopani, a hot authentic Nepalese meal for lunch tasted scrumptious, especially when you were too tired of the fun.

Moksha! What a grand property to stay in the lap of hills, facing straight the beautiful mountains of Nilgiri & Tilicho on which sunlight looks more than majestic. Sipping my coffee there, I had a hawk’s eye view of beautiful Jomsom town, its tiny airport & nearby water stream. It was an out-of-world experience for me.

The evening was melodious along with lots of beer and singing created magic for us. The hospitality & property experience of Moksha was a next-level experience; do not miss it when you are there.

It was a fine warm morning, and after our breakfast, we were ready to roll for Muktinath Yatra. After a short trek, we dipped in the icy holy bath and had Darshana. It was a blissful experience.

The wind of Dumba Lake (2830M) was so strong that it blew away our caps & bags. Lake was a beautiful green, and the aroma was scintillating. We spent some quality time here, followed by lunch served right next to the lake. Amazing, isn’t it? A leisure walk at Jomsom town, followed by a hot bath in the Moksha mini swimming pool, gave a perfect end to the day.

Upper mustang is another world. On the way, we saw several tiny mysterious windows on the hills. Red and dusty hills were backed by tall snow mountains.

Our hotel Royal Mustang was once a Royal palace & the current prince was personally taking care of everything there, Grand!

We were surprised to see such a maintained hotel at this height of 4000mtrs. We enjoyed visiting the China border at Korala & its surrounding.

The best part of the trip was yet to come, on the return by river route.

Experiencing this drive was crazy. I went bonkers by being in the trunk of a Toyota Hilux, enjoying whatever I could.

What a kick-ass moment it was.

Let me tell you one thing, once, I was an introvert and shy kind of guy, but I did all this! During this whole trip, I made sure to travel in all 17 cars present just for different experiences. There were Tablers, OT’s & Past Presidents, along with numerous other people. They were full of joyful experiences & mad ideas.

The best realization I had was whether you are with 50 or 500 people, when you are a Tabler you can mingle and have fun with anyone anywhere. Sometimes you are a comedian, sometimes you are the whistle-blower, and sometimes you are a leader. You are ready for anything. That’s the confidence & best experience tabling gives to you. Traveling with Tablers?

What True Brotherhood Means “Because brothers don’t let each other wander in the dark alone.” – Jolene Perry In layman terms, ““Brotherhood” is a powerful word that means, the bond shared between two brothers. It is a relationship between brothers or close friends, or a feeling of fellowship with other people. It also means an association, society, union, or community of men linked by a common interest, religion, or trade.”

The main essence and motto of brotherhood is, ““All for one, and one for all”, which emphasizes solidarity and support within a group; the group will support its members and its members will support the group. Brothers are the ones who stand by you in your good and hard times. They not only protect you from the problems you face in life but also guide you when you go wrong.

Among friends, brotherhood is the foundation of a strong friendship. Close friends are the people you can trust and rely on. They stand tall with you not only on your path to success but more importantly during the dark hours when you are facing hardships and failures. Such relationships are based on mutual understanding and appreciation for each other.

On a personal note, I have learned that brotherhood is really an indescribable thing. I thought I had a pretty good grasp of what brotherhood meant, coming into college; it is your bros, your pals, the guys you went to parties with, played sports with in high school, sat at lunch with a few best friends – all merry and joy. That is what I expected joining a fraternity, and to be honest, I was perfectly fine with that. It was all I had known.

At the start of my pledge-ship with the Round Table, the whole fraternity aspect was a little strange to me.

Suddenly I was brothers with a lot of people, some whom I had known before, some who I met with for the first time and a lot more of them who I was yet to meet. Growing up besides strangers and opening up to them seemed a little strange at the beginning and the idea itself seemed insane but as each week of pledge-ship goes by, I feel like I have begun to understand what Brotherhood truly means.

From getting to know a lot of individuals in this fraternity, I have learned everything is not as it seems, everyone is going through something in their lives that they are living and dealing with. Listening to my brothers talk about their life and experiences has helped me to open up about mine.

This wasn’t at all what I expected joining a fraternity, but in all it is one of the best things to ever happen to me.

Round Table Tabling has turned out to be a totally different experience than what I had initially envisaged. It was always in me to contribute toward the education of underprivileged children. I had always thought of Tabling as a fellowship and partying club more than contributing to society.

I was highly motivated when I came to know that my Table KERT2 had done a small project of setting up a library and

computer lab at a community school. Apart from these activities, I realized the importance of fellowship. The connections and bonding that Round Table helped me create in this short journey are tremendous. The rules and protocols we follow in our meetings create a funny and sometimes responsible attitude towards our personal and professional lives.

Being a new Tabler, I look forward to Tabling and feel that my journey will only get better as it progresses.

I learned, how the tiniest effort from each individual can result in change, a true change, that can impact our world for the better while completing our very first FTE School Toilet Block project.

The 1st world meet in over 2 years was planned in Dubai from 23rd to 25th September 2021. This was a historic moment for Nepal, as Tr. Jayant Agrawal from KRT 1, took up the role of RTInternational VicePresident in this Meet. He was elected unopposed and will take over as RTI President in the RTIWM, Denmark in September, 2022.

Half Yearly Meet

Morocco 2022

A physical full-fledged RTI Meeting took place after 2 years. It was a long-awaited event. All the regions of Round Table were represented. It was a 4 nights & 5 days event packed with meetings and fellowships.

We had the Councilor’s Meeting, The HYM Meeting and the ASPA Region Meeting during the HYM. Another historic event for RTNepal, as we bid for the Half Yearly Meeting (HYM) 2024, we were the sole bidder and still had to go through the voting process and we were awarded with a full majority. Thanks to the support of the whole world of Tabling, Shangri-La Nepal 2024 is now a reality.

I would recommend everyone not to miss any opportunity to attend any international event, as this is the best part of being a Tabler.

Going to the German AGM was a great experience. After 2 years of covid and very less international travel for Tabling, I was very happy to visit Germany and be a part of International Tabling.

This was my second time in a German AGM, the previous one was in 2015 in Aachen, Germany. This time AGM was in Heidelberg. It’s a beautiful city (one of the few cities which was not damaged during World War 2).

As I was going towards the hotel, lots of Tablers greeted me as I was wearing the Round Table T-shirt. The best part is that people don’t care if they are meeting you for the first time; they treat you like a brother or an old friend whom they have known for ages. It’s an amazing feeling of brotherhood.

I did meet lots of old friends whom I had met on previous trips and a few who has come to Nepal for the RTI World Meet in 2016.

I went there alone, but I never felt I lonely as there were people around who ensured I did not feel out of place. It was an amazing time spent in the company of some excellent people from the fraternity, with mouth-watering food and beautiful locations to enjoy and immerse yourself in.

National Extension Convener

Another glorious year for the RTN fraternity, where we go by the oath “To promote the extension of the association”. RTN has grown this year by almost 23% in its total active member tally. The theme for me this year was “Revival is Survival” and we have been able to achieve that by reviving a few tables who were dormant due to low member count or retirement of members.

We set out by identifying tables who wanted to add new members to their tables. An exhaustive list was then created of prospects from across all tabling centers. First time ever, with suggestion and guidance of our President, a concept of “Prospects Meet” was introduced where prospects were brought together at RTN Secretariat on 6th October 2021, and they were formally briefed about what is the concept and idea of tabling.

All prospects got an opportunity to meet and greet each other and it was a good session.

A 2nd prospects meet (Fellowship) was organized on 10th Nov 2022 at 1905, Kathmandu, where all prospects got an opportunity to meet Chairman and Extension Convener of tables in Kathmandu, and see what Round Table fellowship is all about. The idea was basically to meet and greet and a preselection platform was established.

As a result of these prospects meet, Highlight was Table No.7, where we inducted 17 new members this year, bringing the ever-active table back to its form.

BFRT8, BPRT10 and BCRT15 have inducted on an average 5 Tablers each to continue their pace of tabling.

It is a moment of pride for any post holder when there is exceptional work done during his tenure. The year was no less for me with KZRT22 introducing completely new centers at Nepalgunj and Janakpur. Charter at Nepalgunj had ASPA Chairman Tr. Aviral Jain grace the occasion and Charter at Janakpur was honored by RTI Vice President Tr. Jayant Agrawal. Extension convener Tr. Ashish

Rising from the ashes of what was once Nepalgunj Round Table 9, KZRT22 has sponsored a new Table in Nepalgunj City, which will be known as Nepalgunj Phoenix Round Table.

The new table in Nepalgunj is young, ambitious, and full of zeal to make a mark in the world of Tabling and to make a difference in the lives of countless children by serving as per the Round Table motto of Adopt, Adapt, Improve. On the 17th Day of September, 2021 at Hotel Siddharth View, Karkando, Nepalgunj, the new table was Inaugurated in the presence of National Board Members, RTN NEX Council Members, KZRT 22 team, OT’s of NRT-9 and other fellow Tablers The Charter Ceremony of the table happened on 30th April 2022, which was graced by the presence of ASPA Chairman Aviral Jain from India, National Board and NEX Council Members of RTN, Members of KZRT22 and other Tables across Nepal. The Table will be called “Nepalgunj Phoenix Round Table 32” from this day onwards.

The event was a grand success and the newly formed Table is ready to bring more value and service to Round Table Nepal and to the whole RT Movement.

Charter Ceremony Janakpur Round Table 33

KZRT22 has sponsored a new Table in the historical city of Janakpurdham, which will be known as Janakpur Round Table 33. JRT33 has made a grand entry into the fraternity by doing service projects of over ten lakhs, including an FTE Project, even before their charter. This is one achievement that not many tables in RTN can boast of.

Under the exceptional leadership skills of Charter Chairman Tr. Aashish Jhunjhunwala, JRT33, is ready to make their presence felt in the fraternity with a young, dynamic, and energetic team.

We would like to thank National President Tr. Anand Bahety & the National Board for their unwavering support towards LAPD this year. We were able to develop and further refine the “A Proud Tabler” (APT) module and conduct APT sessions areawise in Areas 1, 2 & 3. Apart from this, APT sessions were also conducted specifically to Tables being inaugurated and chartered.

National Leadership Conclave (NLC), Table Executive Training (TExT) & National Executive Training (NExT), being annual LAPD programs, were conducted with the help of facilitators from RT India & RT Nepal.

Our focus has been on identifying, developing and training facilitators within RT Nepal so that we can conduct these LAPD programs by ourselves. RT India has been very supportive of this and three Tablers from RT Nepal attended the Train The Trainer (TTT) program of RT India at Coimbatore & two Tablers from RT Nepal attended the National Leadership Conclave (NLC) of RT India at Varanasi.

During the year, Table Boards supported LAPD facet by incorporating Public Speaking for their Tablers during Business Meetings. Few tables in fact took it a step forward, by incorporating Public Speaking by their children during Fellowships and Socials.

Moving forward, APT has to be conducted for new inductees and for Tablers who haven’t yet attended the same. Apart from this, we have realized a lot of potential Tablers in RT Nepal who given the opportunity can facilitate LAPD sessions. We need to plan for Train The Trainer program in RT Nepal itself to foster and polish such talents. Short LAPD session covering specific soft skills such as Time Management, Communications, Leadership should be conducted within the Tables.

Finally, we would like to thank our biggest find and our star facilitator, Tr. Vimal for facilitating numerous LAPD session this year and his commitment towards making those sessions worthwhile.

NATIONAL LEADERSHIP CONCLAVE (NLC)

National Leadership Conclave “IGNITE” was organized on 17/12/21 with 36 participants from Round Table Nepal and Ladies Circle Nepal. This event aims to prepare Tablers to take on additional National Responsibilities while also ensuring the participants’ entire Personality Development.

We had expert facilitators RTN Ht. Sq. Leg. Narendra Agrawal and GLMF Tr. Swaraj Lahoti traveling from India and RTN National Editor Tr. Vimal Baid as the facilitator for the event.

The event saw great energy and participation from all, with great teambuilding games, sessions on leadership and personal skills development, and a whole lot of bonding with each other.

The event was organized by KURT17 and KRRT23 with Tr. Prakash Rungta, Tr. Anish Shakya, Tr. Sumit Mittal and Tr. Siddartha Jajodia as conveners.

landscapes. I’ve learned that these lessons are also in line with what one needs to succeed in leadership qualities.

I’m going to share some of the most significant things that the mountains have taught me.

- The requirement for robust mental stamina

In life, simplicity is the key. Being in the Himalayas with breathtakingly gorgeous surroundings serves as a reminder of the power of nature and how unnecessarily we complicate our lives. Our best interests are served by neither pushing nor pulling but rather by learning to become one with the flow and giving every moment our best. This lesson is reinforced by the magnificent expanse of nature.

Someone once asked me on one of my travels, “Which do you prefer over the other?” mountains or beaches? The mountains have always been my home, so to speak. The feeling of the brisk wind on my face as I lean proudly over the edge of a cliff is what I love most. Mountains that are isolated and where nature has not been tampered with by modern civilization are my favorite.

I recently completed the Triund trek, and being there for a while, I concluded that, in addition to being exciting expeditions, these treks may teach you more about yourself and life in general than any classroom training can. I have gained a distinct lesson from every step I have taken on these excursions through the various

With each successful climb, I was reminded that having mental toughness is just as important as having physical strength when high-altitude trekking.

I frequently experienced extreme exhaustion, gasped for air due to low oxygen levels in the air, and even a mild case of AMS on my trips (acute mountain sickness). The only reason I was able to finish the voyage was due to the mental incentive system I established along the route. Along your journey, you may encounter a variety of challenges, and only your mental toughness will help you overcome them. The mind has a lot of power and can help you do things you would never have imagined.

- Adapting to the Nature Everything we enjoy nearby, including those lovely flowers, sparkling streams, gorgeous waterfalls, and massive snow-covered summits, is a blessing in the form of a gift from nature. Don’t ruthlessly destroy it! I’ve frequently equated a strenuous climb to life’s

challenges: Both can be overcome with a lot of perseverance, polished abilities, and luck, of course. This adaptability is one of a few things that mountains have taught me from my visit to Ladakh that I’ve spent walking across unexplored terrain at high altitudes. And it was those same mountains that led me to one of the most important realizations of my life—a tremendous lesson that neither education nor anybody else could have ever taught me: Perhaps, adaptability to what comes on your way!

- The destination is always shaped by the journey People always wonder, what is the point of going through obstacles and hardships just to arrive at the objective? But from the time that I have spent crossing the mountains, the one thing that I learned is that journey always comes before the destination. What I value most are the journeys I took to get there and the people I encountered. There is no way I could ever put a value on this or the lessons I have gained over the years through this adventure.

I have learned that developing as a leader is a lifelong process. As challenging as our journey to the Himalayas had been, the work would even get more challenging as we apply the fundamentals of effective leadership to our managerial responsibilities in the years to come.

It was a great year as an IT convener given that it’s just been 1.5 years since I joined the Round Table Movement. This year was a transition year from the unstructured way of keeping data, to a new system where all the data are structured and kept in a systematic database.

This is a very big transition for data storage for round table Nepal. National Board had been working on this for a long time, figuring out and planning the protocols, structure, and processes. Tablers of Round Table Nepal helped us test the system in various phases and informed us about any bugs, which were then discussed with developers and solved.

We have been using multiple IT resources, like the website, which has been updated, the MS Resources, which are very useful to keep data archive of Round Table Nepal and Tables, Canva and other resources, which have helped us immensely in our branding initiatives as well. It’s a great initiative, and there is still a long way to go.

Dear Tablers, As the Supply House conveners, our main goal at the start of the year was to clear old stocks and bring new products. We almost cleared the old stocks, and we launched a few products this year. Our National President Anand Bahety was our great support, he gave us a free hand to work and bring new products.

In the Supply House, the main and most important support we can get is from floor Tablers, through this platform we would again like to request floor Tablers to come forward and support us as much as possible. As we talk about stats, we almost crossed the sale of 7 lakh this year.

We would like to thank National Board and Floor Tablers for supporting and making this year wonderful. We learned a lot from this post and made a lot of new friends this year.

It gives us immense pleasure and pride to serve the Tabling fraternity as Members of the Rules & Legal Affairs Team. As a member of Legal Affairs, the respect that we have gained from the entire tabling fraternity is enough to keep us highly motivated to check the Financials of all Tables along with the Financials of Round Table Nepal and fulfilling all its Legal Requirements.

Initially when we started the same we had never thought that where were we landing too, it all started with Drafting and Finalizing the Financial Statement of Round Table Nepal with a target to update our books of accounts and submit the same to the government authorities which we achieved after two years of hard work, later we worked for the renewal of Tax Exemption Certificate from the Income Tax Authorities which was in itself a challenge but with the support of the entire tabling fraternity we were able to have another feather to the Hats of RTN, In the Year 2019 we were renewed as a Tax Exempted Organization and we have renewing the same every year than onwards, Meanwhile during this year, we have tried to manage the Financial Statements of all tables under one accounting principle and format interestingly to our surprise we have seen a tremendous support from all the Tables who had agreed upon our Suggestions and have tried their best to present their financials in the most transparent way possible, Today after Four years being a part of this Committee we can proudly say that the Financials of Round Table Nepal and all its Tables are accurate and fair to all possible contexts and as we proudly say this is a zero overhead Organization .

Being a Mass Tour Convener, I met many Tablers while traveling and advertising some events that were planned for the year. It was a pleasant post to be handled.

Many events were planned throughout the year but couldn’t be conducted because of the ongoing Covid situation. I am positive that many mass tours would happen once the times are good.

It was a good experience working with and being supported from all the RTN members, especially Nat President Tr. Anand Bahety and Nat Secretary Tr. Govind Ghiraiya and also Area Coordinator Tr. Sajan Agarwal for pushing me for all the events that were supposed to happen.

I am positive about more events in the coming future and being a part of those events.

Mass Tour Convener

The Round Table Secretariat was inaugurated

by RTI president Altaf Jeevunjee, Past President Amit Agarwal. On the 1st of September, 2016. Since that day, Round Table Nepal is one of the few associations worldwide that has its own office. Since then, the Secretariat has been used for multiple business meetings of RTN, prospects meet, works as an archive of Round Table Nepal, and a Hall of Fame of Round Table Nepal.

It has been also used to host the 4th NEX of Round Table Nepal on 16th June 2017.

We have rented out space to the Paint Association since 2017 to use for their own meetings, and since that time, the secretariat was able to generate funds for RTN. We also have a dedicated staff to handle the administrative tasks and day-to-day work of Round Table Nepal. All supply house things are centralized, and EAC records and past Table records are maintained. Memory book, which is suggested by RTN president Anand was a concept to keep all past records with pictures & small descriptions of major milestones of each Table.

We should try to make use of the secretariat more often by conducting our Business Meetings, LAPD, TExT & NExT sessions, or any other small events of RTN & RTI. We should also invite Ladies Circle and 41 Club members to conduct their events here. We could also try to make the space more casual,

Highlights of my Tenure 2021-2022 chic, and entertaining so that more members from RTN enjoy coming to the Secretariat. A few ideas could be to add a TT Table, Pool Table, and beverages to the secretariat.We can generate funds by renting out the space to more associations and businesses that require a board room.
