INTRODUCING PRESIDENT JESSICA SHEHATA

We are thrilled to introduce you to Jessica Shehata, a bright and passionate 17-yearold from Egypt who has been elected as the President of the Interact Club of Limassol Berengaria Cosmopolitan for the term 2023-2024.

Jessica Shehata, Handover Ceremony

Jessica's journey from Egypt to Cyprus has been nothing short of inspiring In just two years, she has demonstrated exceptional dedication and leadership qualities. Currently a Year 6 student at The Grammar School, her passion for making a difference knows no bounds.

As we embark on this exciting new chapter, let's get to know Jessica and her vision for our community-based youth program sponsored by the Rotary Club of Limassol Berengaria Cosmopolitan since 2019 for International high school students in Limassol.

One of the highlights of Jessica's journey was attending a summer school in Cambridge hosted by Immerse Education. This experience not only expanded her horizons but also equipped her with a global perspective that she brings to her role as President.

Envisioning The Year Ahead

Jessica's vision for the year is nothing short of transformative She aims to foster an environment where every member can actively participate and contribute. She says, "I wish to help more people, to bring new members to the club, and to make it fun for all the members." Her commitment to service is unwavering, and her vision is to create a club where members can connect, have fun, and most importantly, make a positive impact on the lives of others.

Causes Closest To Her Heart

Two causes particularly close to Jessica's heart are "Saving Mothers and Children" and "Empowering Girls, " in alignment with Rotary's areas of focus. She envisions a year where the Interact Club can contribute significantly to these causes, creating a meaningful impact on the community.

Rotary Mentorship Beyond Academics

Youth Service is one of the Avenues of Service of Rotary, and mentoring Interactors by Rotarians and Rotaractors contributes significantly to their development. This mentorship extends beyond academic matters, encompassing practical life skills, leadership, and personal growth. It is through mentorship that Interact members, under the President's guidance, can cultivate a well-rounded approach to community service, and learn to be compassionate, community-driven leaders. Join us in congratulating Jessica!
