From The Publisher

After moving to Roswell, we saw a void. A void that needed to be filled that would help build the community and assist local business growth. Something to be proud of and to share with friends and family. Understanding the value of community and quality content, we decided to publish Roswell The Magazine.

Moving to Roswell, NM in September 2020 seemed like a “what did we do?” moment with all of the negative talk about the town. After seeing the potential and staying positive, we couldn’t resist taking a leap of faith, trusting Gods plan for us. Our calling was clear. We made the move and are not looking back.

We have owned a home here in Roswell and rented it out on Airbnb since 2018. On every visit, my wife and I discussed the benefits of publishing a monthly magazine here as we have done in Albuquerque. We made shirts, created the logo, and registered social media accounts and domain names for Roswell The Magazine since June 2018. We have continued to plant seeds, get involved, and even opened a local cafe. We have created and participated in fundraising events. This is to invest back in the community we now call home. The Turkey Run is our latest fundraiser. We had participants race down Main Street with a frozen turkey to win a $500 grand prize. It was hilarious but very inspiring to see people come together in snowy weather and make it happen. We used this event to feed needy families in Roswell for Thanksgiving. We have a heart for people and strive to make a positive impact on our community, youth, entrepreneurs, and those just looking for an enjoyable read.

I look forward to building a team of local artists and content creators to share the positive and beautiful aspects of our town and surrounding areas. Southeast New Mexico has a lot to offer, and we must continue to build it up and display the good it has.
