Ah, springtime! The season where the sun shines a little brighter, the birds chirp a little louder, and the unmistakable crack of a baseball bat fills the air. It’s the perfect time to gather up your loved ones and head out to support your local pro baseball team. Trust me, it’s more than just a game—it’s an experience that brings families and friends closer together in the best way possible.
As you stroll through the gates of Joe Bauman Stadium, you’re not just entering a ballpark— you’re coming home. The scent of fresh popcorn mingles with the sound of chatter and laughter, welcoming you like an old friend. And with tickets priced at just $10, there’s no barrier between you and an evening of hometown fun. And let’s talk tickets. Forget about breaking the bank for a decent view. Local teams have got your back with affordable options that won’t leave your wallet feeling lighter than a feather.
Whether you’re in it for the whole season or just popping in for a single game, there’s a ticket package with your name on it. Convenience? Check!
But the fun doesn’t stop there! Local teams know how to keep the whole family entertained, with kid-friendly activities, mascot appearances, and maybe even a chance to meet the players themselves. It’s not just a game—it’s a full-blown adventure that’ll have you coming back for more, time and time again.
Every clap, every cheer, every high-five is a little boost of encouragement for these aspiring pros. You’re helping to fuel their passion, inspire their dreams, and maybe even witness the birth of the next baseball legend. Now, how cool is that?
So, what are you waiting for? Grab your mitt, slap on your team colors, and round up your crew—it’s time to make some memories at a Roswell Invaders game. With convenience, camaraderie, and a whole lot of fun waiting for you, there’s no better way to spend a sunny afternoon or balmy evening. Let’s play ball!

If you are a local, which we assume you are since you are reading our local publication, but of course visitors are always welcome. You need to experience what this season has in store for you. Our hometown event season is upon us, and it’s time to support local businesses with your vacation dollars.
Have a Jeep? Check out our very own Topless at Bottomless Lakes! Not that kind of topless, though. It’s the National Jeep Go Topless day, which is held in over 400 locations worldwide on May 18th, 2024! This event is a ‘show and shine’ social mingling type event where you are entered into a raffle just for showing up with your Jeep topless! This is the 4th annual event since our publisher started it in 2021 to grow the local Jeep community and make friends with fellow ‘Jeepers.’” Follow on Facebook or visit toplessatbottomless.com for more details.
UFO What? Yeah, we’re all aware of the International UFO Festival, aka Alien Fest. Main Street Roswell has been given the reins by the City of Roswell to run it 100%, presumably because of their 2023 Alien Festival results. Expect great live entertainment and something for the whole family to enjoy. We know that, as locals, some of us avoid downtown at “all costs,” but let’s support our local vendors, enjoy some live entertainment, and make the most of our weekend together, creating memories for our families. Also, 2024 is expected to make another historic mark with a returning item from 1997.
UFO-H2O is making a comeback with its limited edition 16oz can brought to you by The Holy Waters LLC. A little bird leaked the news, but let’s see if this will be part of this year’s event. See flyer on our inside back cover for details. ufoh2o.com

As the sun shines brighter and the days grow longer, it’s time to embrace the energy of summer and revitalize your fitness routine. With warmer temperatures and longer daylight hours, summer offers the perfect opportunity to enhance your health and well-being through outdoor activities and mindful exercise. In this article, we’ll explore some effective strategies to help you stay active, energized, and healthy throughout the summer season.
1. Embrace Outdoor Workouts:
Take advantage of the beautiful weather by moving your workouts outdoors. Whether it’s a brisk morning jog, a yoga session in the park, or a bike ride along scenic trails, outdoor exercise can invigorate both body and mind. Not only does it provide a refreshing change of scenery, but it also exposes you to natural sunlight, which boosts mood and vitamin D levels.
2. Stay Hydrated:
With temperatures rising, it’s crucial to stay hydrated, especially during outdoor activities. Keep a water bottle handy and sip regularly throughout the day to replenish fluids lost through sweat. For intense workouts or prolonged outdoor adventures, consider electrolyte-rich drinks to maintain proper hydration and replenish essential minerals.
3. Mix Up Your Routine:
Summer is the perfect time to try new activities and break out of your fitness comfort zone. Explore different workout classes, such as outdoor boot camps, paddle boarding, or beach volleyball. Cross-training not only keeps exercise exciting but also targets different muscle groups, prevents plateaus, and reduces the risk of overuse injuries.
4. Prioritize Sun Protection:
While enjoying outdoor activities, don’t forget to protect your skin from harmful UV rays. Wear sunscreen with a high SPF, preferably water-resistant, and reapply every two hours, especially if you’re sweating or swimming. Additionally, consider wearing lightweight, breathable clothing that provides UPF (Ultraviolet Protection Factor) for added sun protection.
5. Fuel Your Body with Nutrient-Rich Foods:
Support your fitness goals by nourishing your body with wholesome, nutrient-dense foods. Load up on fresh fruits, vegetables, lean proteins, and whole grains to provide essential vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants. Incorporate hydrating foods like watermelon, cucumber, and leafy greens to stay cool and refreshed during hot summer days.
6. Listen to Your Body:
Pay attention to your body’s cues and adjust your fitness routine accordingly. Be mindful of signs of overheating, such as excessive sweating, dizziness, or nausea, and take breaks or seek shade when needed. Remember that rest and recovery are equally important for maintaining optimal health and performance.
7. Set Realistic Goals:
Set achievable fitness goals that align with your lifestyle and priorities. Whether it’s improving endurance, building strength, or simply staying active every day, establish a plan that is realistic and sustainable. Celebrate your progress along the way and don’t be too hard on yourself if setbacks occur. Remember, consistency and perseverance are key to long-term success.
Summer offers endless opportunities to prioritize your health and well-being through outdoor activities, mindful exercise, and nourishing nutrition. By embracing the warmth of the season and adopting a holistic approach to fitness, you can unlock your ultimate summer fitness and enjoy a season filled with vitality, energy, and joy. So lace up your sneakers, grab your water bottle, and embark on a journey to a healthier, happier you this summer!
