Calling all heroes. We encourage you to join us for an instructor-led therapy swim. Any adult who suffers from prolonged pain as a result of an injury or medical issue is encouraged to attend.

Recycled Materials Costume Contest

Sept. 17, 3 p.m.-6 p.m. $5.25 | Ages 5 + Bring your tennis shoes for a family broom hockey game.

Played in the gym with tennis shoes, with a broom as the stick. A small ball will be provided as the puck. Brooms will be provided.

Oct. 29, 5 p.m.-6 p.m. $10.50 | Ages 5 + Make your own Halloween costume out of recycled materials. Then, show off your costume and bring a list of the materials you used. Awards will be given for first through third place.

Sept. 24, 10 a.m.-2 p.m. | $5.25 | Ages 5 + Grind it out and show off your tricks and skills. Open to skateboarders, rollerbladers and roller skaters. Bring your own equipment and safety gear. Top three places receive a trophy.

Dive-In Movie

Nov. 11, 5 p.m.-7 p.m. | Free Come enjoy a family movie at the pool. We will set up a big screen for you to watch a family-friendly, aquatic-themed movie while you float around in the pool. No lap or open swimming during event.

Level 2 teaches floats without support and how to recover to a vertical position. Participants further develop alternating arm and leg actions on the front and back that lay the foundation for future strokes.

Every second Saturday of the month Roswell residents can enjoy a day of free admission to the museum where we will host a fun and creative family activity such as building a community collage or creating alien friends out of clay from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Every Saturday it’s something new. The Roswell Science and Art Festival is back and better than ever. Enjoy the amazing science displays by area organizations, a performance by “Kate the Join local game designer Matt Bromley of Chemist,” a professor from the University of Texas Wildbird Games for a fun afternoon playing board games. Games vary each month, and one who loves to ignite things, the Make Lab of hands on science activities, and the classics such as our table is devoted to DnD. The summer sci-fi exhibition features 16 national and international artists exploring humanity's shared future and our connection to space, science and technology. Roswell Museum Holiday Artisan Market Artist Call

Sept. 12 deadline to enter selections | $40 Entry Fee The Roswell Museum and the Roswell Museum Foundation, in partnership with the Pecos Valley Potters Guild, invite artists, artisans, contemporary craftspeople and makers to apply to be a part of the annual Roswell Museum Holiday Artisan Market. The Market is a juried art exhibition and sale held at the Roswell Museum showcasing up to 45 regional artists, artisans and makers. The event will run all December and include a festive opening night reception.

Sales will be split 60/40 between the artist and the Foundation in benefit of the Roswell Museum. Enter at roswellmuseum.org.
