Recycled DIY Art & Craft

Keep Roswell Beautiful will be joining the Roswell Museum’s Science & Art Festival to host a Recycled DIY Art & Craft area where attendees can turn empty water bottles, empty milk jugs, and other discarded items into holiday decorations and other art/crafts. Keep Roswell Beautiful will provide all needed materials to make an art or craft item using recycled/ repurposed items.

Fall Community Cleanup

Ring of Fire - Annular Solar Eclipse

Saturday, October 14 9:15am - 12:15pm

Roswell will be on the path of annular solar eclipse. An annular solar eclipse occurs when the Moon is between the Sun and Earth. During this time the Sun will be seen as a ring of fire around the moon. To safely observe this event, proper eye protection must be worn. The Roswell Public Library will provide the proper eye protection and other activities during the annular solar eclipse.

Día de los Muertos

Those who passed are alive in our memories. A continuous echo that at certain occasions becomes louder. As death is an integral part of life, Día de los Muertos celebrates the people of our past as we celebrate life. This event is held with the support of the Roswell Hispano Chamber of Commerce and includes cultural and educational activities.

Honor all branches of service by wearing purple or red, white and blue. Learn about the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier by reading our storywalk and pay your respects to the veterans who are no longer with us at the White Table Display.

Looking for a low-impact exercise in the water? This type of exercise is similar to normal aerobics, but since it’s done in the water, it places less strain on your joints. Intensity level is low/moderate.

This year’s new award categories are: Trompe I’oeil, Favorite Art Genre, Space Travel and Mandalas.

Our 8-week adult clay classes provide an in-depth exploration of the clay medium. Students will investigate forms and glazes fired in a reductive atmosphere. Students will make a variety of vessels and sculptures of their own design. Sessions 1-3 are taught by Aria Finch and Session 4 is taught by Anna Edwards. Class includes additional openstudio time. First-time students are always welcome. Clay and tools available for purchase.
