ALIEN CHASE 5K WALK/RUN Saturday, July 6

$35 | DeBremond Stadium Have you ever seen an alien? This may be your chance. Walk or run this 5K course and let us know if you spot a UFO. We believe; but do you? Alien-themed costumes are encouraged! All participants will receive a race-day T-shirt and medal.

$15 | Age 18+ Tap dance sharpens reflexes and improves memory skills and coordination. Beginning classes will work toward establishing fundamental tap movements, vocabulary and will work on basic rhythms and steps that progress into fun and lively dance combinations.

This type of dance reflects the traditions, cultures and beliefs of people in a particular region. Folkloric dance expresses the life and spirit of a people through its movement and music.

All Ages | $90 Whether you are seeking lessons for a beginner swimmer, or looking for stroke refinement, private swim lessons are designed to meet your needs and personal goals. During the first private swim lesson, a swim instructor will do an assessment and discuss the best possible direction for each individual’s private swim lesson experience to be successful and enjoyable.

Our soccer clinic is a great way for your child to begin learning the game of soccer in a fun, non-competitive and educational environment. Build and refine your soccer skills. Players can expect soccer-oriented games and drills that will help hone your abilities. Takes place at the Recreation & Aquatic Center.

Our disc golf clinic is aimed at providing helpful guidance and instruction for one of the fastest growing sports in America. We will cover the basics you need to know to get a proper start in the sport! Takes place at Enchanted Lands Park.

The baseball/softball clinic is a great way to help your player learn, improve performance, and achieve goals while having fun. Our goal is to help young players understand basic fundamentals and learn proper techniques. Takes place at the Recreation & Aquatic Center.

Our youth football clinic is a fun introduction to football for young players.

TABLETOP GAME DAYS

First Saturdays 1-4pm Members & children 15 and under free | Non-members $5 Join local game designer/master Matt Bromley (Wildbird Games) at the table each month for a new adventure. Learn a new game or hone your skills with likeminded folks and players of all ages.

Host’s table games will vary each month, one table will be designated for DnD, and additional tables will be available for bringyour-own-game setups.

JULY 13 - SHADOW DRAWING Have you noticed; your shadow follows you EVERYWHERE! Let’s try and catch it, and maybe some others out in the courtyard. Bring your own and we will provide some smaller ones to draw and paint once we get a good outline.

AUG 10 - CLOUDS OF COLOR Just because it’s cloudy outside, doesn’t mean there’s no color! Let’s make some fluffy, rainbowy, stormy clouds to hang around the house. Even if we don’t always get rain in the desert, we can bring our own indoors and out.

ADULT CLAY OPEN STUDIO May 28 - September 8 Daily 10am-5:30pm Adults, Beginner through Advanced Members $160 | Non-Members $195 This 16-week open studio session is for adult students who have taken at least one previous clay class at the Museum, and wish to work independently outside of a class format. Clay is available for purchase in the studio.

For June, explore the theme of human features in which the students inspire the masterpieces through painting and drawing or clay, or register for both back to back! These courses will introduce students to working with multiple materials and learn the basics of drawing and painting or sculpting with clay. Students will create their own works of art and will be able to take home their own handmade pieces. Supplies are included.

For July, explore the theme of bird habitats through painting and drawing or clay, or both back to back! Students will construct landscapes focusing on birds in their natural habitats. ROCKET CAMP Tues-Thurs | July 16-18 9am-12pm Grades 3 to 6 Members $45 | Non-Members $60 Model rocketry, a super fun, crowdpleasing STEM activity, is a safe and widespread hobby that has been credited as a significant source of inspiration for children who eventually become scientists and engineers. Learn to design, build and fly your very own model rocket in this introductory class. See and learn how mathematics explains the world of rockets and aeroscience through simple lessons in physics and rocket flight. Learn the laws of rocket stability and aerodynamics. Best of all, you will actually build and launch your own rocket at the end of the course to show your family and friends what you learned. Supplies included.
