Recognize and honor those who have passed, decorate sugar skulls, enjoy music, blessing for the depar ted, crafts and more. Those who have passed are alive in our memories. Día de los Muer tos, celebrates those who have passed to emphasize the impor tance of death in the life cycle.

Tribute to Veterans November 3 through 15

The white table displayed in the Librar y, November 3 through 15, pays tribute to those missing in action or listed as a prisoner of war. The Stor y Walk features the book 21 Steps: Guarding the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier by Jeff Gottesfeld.

Grinchy Yuletide Festival

Saturday, December 20 at 10 am

December is the month, 20 is the date. The fun star ts at 10, so please don’t be late. Cookie decorating, crafts, sing-alongs, stories, f ree book, and the Grinch of course.

This type of dance reflects the traditions, cultures and beliefs of people in a particular region. Folkloric dance expresses the life and spirit of a people through its movement and music.

JINGLE BELL JOG 5K/10K RUN/WALK

Join us on December 13 for the festive Jingle Bell Jog! Whether you’re a seasoned runner or looking for a fun way to get into the holiday spirit, this event offers both 5K and 10K options to suit all fitness levels. We encourage you to dress in your most festive holiday attire and enjoy a scenic route, holiday music, and a cheerful atmosphere.

Online Registration ends December 11 at midnight.

Packet pickup will begin Monday, December 8, 8am-5pm at the Recreation and Aquatic Center at 1402 W. College Blvd.

Race-day registration is 6:30-7:30am. Cash & checks only. No refunds.

ADULT PROGRAMMING

ACTIVE ADULTS

Mon/Wed/Fri 1-2pm

Great for seniors and adults of all ages. Small-group personal training consisting of a dynamic warm-up, aerobic exercise, resistance training, and a static cooldown. Helps with your cardio strength, endurance, flexibility and balance.

AEROBICS

Mon/Tues/Thurs 5-6pm

Join us for an exercise that combines rhythmic aerobic movement with stretching and strength training.

FOCUSED AEROBICS

Mon/Fri 10-11am

Focused Aerobics is a dynamic fitness class that keeps workouts fresh and engaging! We alternate Mondays with weight training, cardio, strength, and chair exercises. End the week with Aerobics Fun Day Fridays where we boost energy, burn calories, and enjoy movement together!

STRETCHING

Wed 10-11am

Loosen those muscles and joints from head to toe with some relaxing guided stretches.

VIDEO WALKING

Mon/Wed/Fri 9-10am

Get your friends for this low-intensity virtual workout, led by technology of today.

OUT-OF-THE-WEATHER WALKING TIME

Tues/Thurs 8-10am

Stay active in a comfortable, climate-controlled space with our self-led out-of-the-weather walking sessions!

Enjoy a relaxed, go-at-your-own-pace walk with energizing music to keep you moving. Maintain mobility, or simply enjoy a stress-free walk indoors.

Start and/or stop at any time during open hours!

SENIOR WORKOUT

Mon/Wed/Fri 10:30-11am

A workout that is good for different levels of mobility. All movements can be easily adjusted to fit a variety of needs.

YOGA

Mon/Wed/Fri 11am-12pm

Yoga enthusiasts of all levels are welcome. Learn some of the most common poses that are physically challenging, but at a slower pace for beginners.

SATURDAY MORNING YOGA

Sat 8am

Breathe in the fresh air and flow through gentle stretches designed to awaken your body and clear your mind. This class is adaptable for all fitness levels.

Takes place at Cahoon Park (Intersection of Riverside Dr. & 7th St.)

Seasonal Note: When the weather becomes too cold in fall and winter, class will move to 10am at the Roswell Recreation & Aquatic Center.

PRIVATE SWIM LESSONS

All Ages

Whether you are seeking lessons for a beginner swimmer, or looking for stroke refinement, private swim lessons are designed to meet your needs and personal goals. During the first private swim lesson, a swim instructor will do an assessment and discuss the best possible direction for each individual’s private swim lesson experience to be successful and enjoyable.

Private Swim Lessons are scheduled during regular shifts with a limited number of certified instructors. Lessons consist of six 45-minute one-on-one sessions. Please contact us for availability. 575-624-6719

HOMESCHOOL PE

Get up, get out and get moving with our Homeschool PE program! This three-week class helps homeschool children socialize and interact with others while engaging in movement activities. 575 624-6719

Pre-K - Ages 3-5. Swim lessons are designated for children with limited experience in the water. Guppies - Ages 5-9. Swim lessons are designated for children with limited experience in the water.

Sharks - Ages 6-12. Swim lessons are for children with some experience in the water independently. Floating without support, must know how to recover to a vertical position after entering the water on their own.

Dribble and score in this fun-filled Youth Basketball league! Our sports leagues are designed to teach the fundamentals. This is a great way to get exercise while learning balance, hand-eye coordination, strategy and social skills all while having fun. This league, every player is a winner!

COACHES: You must fill out a volunteer form and be approved if you want to coach.

Note: Age of registration will be based on age as of December 31, 2025.

Starting in September 2025, catch a glimpse of Robert H. Goddard at the Roswell Air Center as we begin to celebrate the 100th anniversary of his first liquid propellant rocket flight that took place on March 16, 1926 in Auburn, Massachusetts and paved the way to making Roswell his home in 1930.

Join us at the Roswell Public Library for a free hands-on art experience sponsored by the RMAC Foundation. Led by the museum’s staff and teaching artists, each month explores a different theme related to the collection, art or science concepts, and/or current events. Stop by and get creative!

MUSEUM DAY ROSWELL

Saturday, November 1 10am-5pm

Free

Join us for an enriching and enlightening celebration on Saturday, November 1 for Museum Day Roswell, a free admission day* for our local museums. Visit one museum or all seven as you explore the wealth of knowledge our museums have to offer.

Each museum will have different activities, including take-and-make art, scavenger hunts, tours and refreshments! Free prize drawings are available at each museum to win fun museum merchandise. Due to the flood, the Roswell Museum is closed, but will have a booth set up at the Anderson Museum of Contemporary Art.

Visit all 7 museums that day and get stamps in a passport activity to be entered into a grand prize drawing valued at $700. The grand prize drawing will take place at 5:30 pm at the Anderson Museum. (All ages welcome to participate. Prize entries must be submitted by an adult. You need not be present to win.)

*Note: Admission is free to each venue, however, visitors to the UFO Museum must bring an event postcard or flyer to claim the free entry for that location. Postcards will be available starting October 1 at the other 5 venues as well as the day of the event. The Roswell Museum will have postcards at the October Farmers Markets as well.
