2025-2026 GCSE results were the best in the School’s history: 46% of grades were 9-7 or A*/A, Grade 9 awards rose 32% on last year’s record, and 78% of students – in a school that isn’t academically selective – achieved at least one grade 9-7. Seven pupils secured ten or more top grades apiece. That same ambition carried straight through into the Sixth Form. Over twothirds of A-Level grades were A*-B, with Art achieving 100% A* and Design & Technology 100% A/A*. In the International Baccalaureate, a quarter of the cohort hit 40 points or more – a score reached by only 10% of IB candidates worldwide. BTEC Sport students weren’t far behind, with 94% of grades at Distinction or above. Behind every number is a student who simply kept going: Erin, juggling elite netball with three A*s and an A in Maths, Further Maths, Physics and Economics. Loïc, arriving from Saint Vincent and the Grenadines and leaving with a triple distinction and international football recognition. Oliver, achieving an A* in A Level Maths at the end of Year 11, two years early. This is what happens when ambition is matched with belief, support and relentless hard work – students don’t just meet their potential, they outgrow it. At Rossall, becoming unstoppable isn’t the exception. It’s the expectation.
