NURSERY Rossall Nursery welcomes babies from just 3 months old, with each age group given its own tailored environment designed around how children actually grow and learn at each developmental stage. •
Sanderlings, the baby room for ages 3 months to 2 years, is a serene, light-filled space with exclusive access to a soft-surfaced private garden, staffed at a ratio of 1:3.

Sandpipers, for ages 2 to 3, is an active, exploratory space fostering independence, language development and social connection, at a ratio of 1:4.

Pre-School, for ages 3 to 4, builds school readiness through early literacy, numeracy and active discovery, within small groups.

Every child benefits from a purpose-built sensory room, coastal walks, gardening, and visits to the on-site farm animals, including chickens and rabbits, alongside Forest School sessions and outdoor free play. Specialist sessions, including introductory Spanish, toddler yoga, rhythm and movement, and creative arts, are woven into daily routines throughout the week. Nutrition is taken just as seriously as learning: all meals, snacks and drinks are freshly prepared on site by Rossall’s own Catering Department, nutritionally balanced for every stage of early development. With a dedicated key worker assigned to every child, full and half-day sessions between 8:50am and 6:00pm, 8:00am breakfast club, 15 and 30 hours funded childcare accepted, and structured transition visits into Reception throughout the year, Rossall Nursery gives every family the confidence that their child is genuinely ready for what comes next.
