Rossall School’s Elite Football Programme is run in exclusive partnership with Manchester City Football Club, the only such partnership with a British boarding school. Rossall Football, established in 2016 and partnered with MCFC in 2024, connects Rossall’s world-leading football provision with the expertise, facilities and global reach of the Premier League, European and World Champions. Our programme combines Rossall’s specialist football education with authentic Manchester City experiences and expertise, creating an academy-inspired environment within a world-class boarding school. Pupils in Years 7 - 13 train within a structured Rossall Football pathway, delivered by professionally qualified coaches and supported by Manchester City coaching expertise, academy visits and opportunities to experience the club at its Etihad Campus. Alongside elite level coaching, pupils benefit from a comprehensive football and performance syllabus encompassing individual development, video analysis, physical development, Futsal, goalkeeping, unique competition and international tours. Our pupils also have access to unique Manchester City experiences, including training and academy visits, matchday opportunities and exposure to the environment of one of the world’s leading football clubs.
