Studio Neil Simon’s funniest comedy! This is the story of a middle-aged restauranteur desperately trying to add a little spice to his life; this period is like Mad Men, only our “Don Draper” is a total klutz. The play opened on Broadway at the Eugene O’Neill Theatre on December 28, 1969 and closed on September 4, 1971 after 706 performances and six previews. “Mr. Simon has created a great character here…it is extraordinarily funny and yet also charming…as witty as ever, perhaps wittier.” – The New York Times

Everything your granny told you about assisted living? Forget it! From early retirement right up to the pulling of the plug, 21st-century seniors are partying like its 1969. Imagine: no work, no pregnancy and a full array of Medicare-subsidized pharmaceuticals. They are partying at Pelican Roost, the full-service retirement community that is home to the 18 different characters played by the show’s two actors. Assisted Living: The Musical® is not just for old people any more than Oklahoma! is just for cowboys, Gypsy is for Romanians, or Rent is for people who don’t own their own homes. Assisted Living: The Musical® is for everyone who is aging, or hopes to do so someday. You’ll see your parents, your friends and maybe some of yourself!

You’ve seen the rest, now sit back and enjoy the best. Without doubt, this is the most authentic Queen tribute ever. God Save the Queen packs all their greatest hits into a note-for-note, two-hour musical extravaganza that follows Queen’s history from their beginnings in 1973 to their latest album Made in Heaven, released after Freddie Mercury’s death in 1991. With incredible lighting, sumptuous sound, outstanding performances of band members and the one-of-a-kind resemblance to Freddie Mercury by Pablo Padín, this is one of the must-see events of the year. save 25% save 20% save 15% pick 5 pick 4 pick 3 regular B

Newfoundland native Shaun Majumder is one of Canada’s top comedians. He’s a favourite of Montreal’s Just for Laughs festival, having hosted the TV series for several seasons. You’ll also recognize him from CBC’s Gemini Award-winning show This Hour Has 22 Minutes, providing viewers with a volatile mix of parody, sketch comedy and scathing editorial commentary. Equally at home onstage as he is in front of the camera, Majumder’s slice-oflife material and incessant wit never cease to entertain.

Canadian rock band, Platinum Blonde is back, but don’t call it a reunion! In reality, it’s more like the band has simply taken their finger off the pause button. With four albums that have collectively gone platinum seven times over and garnered multiple Juno Award nominations, along with an induction into the Music and Broadcast Industry Hall of Fame, it’s easy to wonder what else is there for Platinum Blonde to accomplish. As it turns out, quite a lot. Have “no regrets” and see Mark Holmes, Sergio Galli and Daniel Todd live in concert!

Described as “one of the most compelling acts Canada has to offer” (TIME Magazine), and nominated three times for Juno awards, multifaceted Canadian singer/songwriter/pianist, Sarah Slean seems to be hitting her stride. Over her 14 year career, with nine recordings released in over ten countries worldwide, Slean’s music has borrowed aspects of cabaret, rock, pop and orchestra; all knit together by the startling poetry of her lyrics, virtuosic piano playing, and that voice: “a 19th-century Kate Bush” (Mersereau-CBC).

Lorne Elliott has performed from Newfoundland to New York City, from Los Angeles to Australia and points in-between. Lorne started performing in 1974 as a folk musician in East Coast Canada. At the same time he kept writing fiction as well as songs, monologues and one-liners. The outcome of such training is a very special show of comedy and music, totally original, entertaining, foolish and uplifting. Along with his unique performance style it is the timelessness of his material, joined with keen observations on today’s trends that make Lorne Elliott’s work so special.

For too long, most 50’s shows have resembled a sugarcoated, sanitized, cartoon version of someone else’s idea of the fifties. This show strips all of that away and gets back to the sound and fury of the music that started it all! The stories behind the artists, the songs, and the time period are rich, deep, and plentiful. Freddy Vette weaves together a journey for the audience with these stories, highlighted by note-perfect renditions of the biggest hits.
