LAND ACKNOWLEDGEMENT The City of Brampton is located on the traditional territories of the Mississaugas of the Credit, the Haudenosaunee (Hoh-dee-noh-shohnee) and the Wendat First Nations who have called this land home since time immemorial. We acknowledge the Treaty agreed to in the Ajetance Purchase of 1818 and we are committed to our ongoing role in reconciliation through meaningful action that is rooted in truth, justice and respect. We are grateful to the original caretakers of this land who have ensured we are able to work, play and live in Brampton now and in the future.
VISIT THE LEGACY SPACE AT THE ROSE Since 2019, The Rose has been a proud partner of the GORD DOWNIE & CHANIE WENJACK FUND (DWF), committed to using the power of live performance to build awareness, foster connection, and inspire reconciliACTION. ROOTS BLOSSOM BLOOM As The Rose marks its twentieth year, we celebrate the shared moments that have brought it to life. What began as an ambitious city-building vision has grown into a home shaped not by a building alone, but by the people who fill it: artists, families, neighbours, and communities. This season unfolds through the theme of Roots, Blossom, Bloom. ROOTS are the stories carried across generations and cultures that shape Brampton and feeling planted in this place. BLOSSOM is this very moment where voices meet, perspectives expand, and new expressions take form. BLOOM stretches forward to embrace the excitement of possibilities, fueled by the passion and dedication of Brampton’s creative community. What resonates most deeply is the way this space holds people together. The laughter shared in the lobby, the stillness before a performance begins, the feeling of recognition when a story reflects something familiar, or something newly understood — these are the quiet threads that bind a community. Art is not separate from who we are, but rather, is a way of gathering, of listening, of seeing one another more clearly. We mark this milestone with gratitude for the many hands, hearts, and voices that have shaped The Rose, and the continuing promise to nurture this community with care. To remain a place where cultures connect, where ideas take root, and where something meaningful can grow.

THE SAAMI BROTHERS AN EVENING OF QAWWALI MAY 19, 2027 7:00 PM
THE ROSE INDUSTRY LAB 26/27 SEASON
Drawing from nearly 800 years of their esteemed unbroken Sufi lineage, USTAAD NASEERUDDIN SAAMI AND THE SAAMI BROTHERS: AN EVENING OF KHAYAL is an exceptional encounter with one of the world’s most revered classical forms, rarely performed in Canada. Rooted in breath, silence, and tone, their improvisations unfold with meditative depth, microtonal precision, and nuance, guiding listeners through a contemplative soundscape where subtle melody, patience, and spiritual focus converge.
Watch the stage ignite with the virtuosic force of traditional Qawwali. The Saami Brothers carry forward centuries of devotion from the historic Qawwal Bacha Delhi Gharana. Their commanding vocals, driving rhythms and electrifying call‑and‑response poetry channel a lineage of spiritual intensity and artistic precision. With every crescendo, they lead audiences toward wajd—an ecstatic, communal state shaped by generations of Sufi musical mastery. Presented in association with Third Space. TICKETS STARTING FROM $49

For 20 years, The Rose has been the heart of live performance in Brampton. It isn’t just a great night out. Our work has generational impact: inspiring new audience members for life, propelling emerging artists into their careers, and creating space for different cultures to co-exist and collaborate. Kids who sat in the audience during the first years of ARTS ADVENTURES are now standing on stage or working behind it. From emerging voices to JUNO Award-winners, Brampton’s own creatives have felt seen, celebrated, and given tools to grow in their home city.
YOUR IMPACT As the needs of our community continue to grow and evolve, donor support enables us to expand artist development opportunities, creative residencies, and mentorship programs; nurture emerging local voices; and broaden arts access initiatives for students and underserved, at-risk communities.
