Bus leaves Community Center at 9:30am and returns at approximately 3:15pm
Welcome spring with a visit to the Art in Bloom exhibit at the Minneapolis Institute of Art! Guests are invited to experience the floral fragrance throughout the museum. Browse floral-inspired merchandise in the Art in Bloom Pop-up Shop. This is a self-guided experience throughout the museum campus and gift shop. MIA inspires wonder through the power of art. The Minneapolis Institute of Art enriches the community by collecting, preserving, and making accessible outstanding works of art from the world’s diverse cultures. MIA’s permanent collection has grown from 800 works of art to more than 89,000 objects. The museum has several curatorial areas to explore: Arts of Africa & the Americas, Contemporary Art, Decorative Arts, Textiles & Sculpture, Asian Art, Paintings, Photography and New Media, and Prints and Drawings. After leaving MIA, we will have lunch at Jax Cafe, a landmark that was established in 1933. Lunch will include a choice of baked chicken with mashed potatoes and gravy and a vegetable or Swedish meatballs with potatoes and vegetable.
