This week is designed to help you explore your future pathways, develop key life skills, and take meaningful steps towards university, apprenticeships, and beyond.

Through workshops, alumnae speakers, and dedicated reflection time, you will build confidence, skills, and a clear action plan for your future. The following timetable is generalised to include all sessions and may not reflect exactly how yours looks. Attendance is compulsory through the week unless prearranged with Mr Phillips.

School is closed and Year 12 students should arrange to use the time to explore cultural experiences in the local area or London. Although not a school trip we suggest that students should always go to places with others.

Tutor meetings, completion of draft personal statement on UniFrog with searches and quizzes complete. Tutor information form complete and Action plan complete in order to be dismissedcan only be approved to leave by SJP/MRB

Writing your personal statement/Early Entry support

Important: Please complete your choices form by Sunday 17 May so you can choose sessions that suit you. If it is not completed, you will be allocated sessions.

Monday 1 June - Cultural Immersion Day

Organise a trip (minimum 3 to 4 students) to explore something in London or locally that could support your studies, applications, or interviews (e.g. museums, exhibitions, historic sites, events).

Normally part of the programme, this day is now a self-directed opportunity due to INSET.

What to do:

• Visit a museum, gallery, historic site, or attend a lecture

• Explore London or your local area

• Choose something that sparks curiosity or links to your future plans

Why it matters: Building cultural capital will strengthen your personal statement, broaden your perspectives, and support your academic development.

Task: Record your experience on Unifrog.

Positively You Workshops (2 hours)

Two interactive sessions focused on:

Why it matters: You already know your current performance from your school report. This is your chance to reflect on what needs to change or improve and actively develop strategies for success.

Why it matters: Student voice consistently highlights the need for financial guidance this session equips you with essential life skills.

Apprenticeships Understand the different types of apprenticeships, how they vary by level and sector, and the step-by-step process for finding and applying, including key timelines.

UCAS A clear walkthrough of the UCAS application system, including key sections, deadlines, and how to successfully submit your university choices.

Personal Statement

Learn how to plan, structure, and begin drafting your personal statement, including what universities are looking for and how to showcase your experiences effectively.

Important: Bring a device to complete live tasks during the session.

Wednesday 3 June – Alumnae Inspiration Day

A unique opportunity to learn from former Rosebery students now working across a wide range of careers.

How to Take Part Well – for all in hall

A session focused on:

Thursday 4 June - Personal Pathways Day

A personalised day where you select sessions based on your interests and goals.

EPQ* Introduction and preparation for EPQ (pre-reading required)

Speak Up Public speaking skills and confidence building

Vision Boarding Visualising future goals using creative methods

Coaching You Helping you explore future options if unsure

Creative Careers An insight into creative education pathways, including university and foundation courses, and how these skills translate into media and marketing careers.

Car Maintenance Practical car skills for independence

Cooking Up Some Thinking Combining cooking skills with philosophical discussion

Biodiversity and Nature in Rosebery A walk and talk and reflection on identifying the wildlife around the school site.

Friday 5 June - Reflection & Action

Final Requirements: Before signing out, you must complete:

Students will be signed out by Mr Phillips once all tasks are complete.
