AIR 2023
In summer 2023 Roscommon Arts Centre will offer further residency opportunities under the “AIR Programme” through an Open Call.
The residencies available are ‘New Voice’, ‘Start’ and ‘Middle’.

All Residencies will take place over a two-month period, commencing in Summer 2023 and include an artist fee and an allowance towards travel/ accommodation.
The successful artists will commence the residencies this summer and will be announced on our website roscommonartscentre.ie.
The AIR Programme is supported by the Arts Council of Ireland.
This summer we are once again opening up our spaces to professional artists and practitioners free of charge who wish avail of time and space with us. “Studio 23” residents can access our spaces for periods of between 2 & 4 weeks from June – August.

Visual Art Writers In Residence
Jennie Taylor
Writer Jennie will respond to each show in the curated programme this year.
Responses will be available in both hard copy and online. Jennie Taylor is a fiction and arts writer. A graduate of Dun Laoghaire Institute of Art, Design & Technology & National College of Art & Design. She has published her work in Critical Bastards Magazine, The Stinging Fly and Visual Arts Newsletter. Jennie lives and works in Dublin, Ireland.

Hashtag WIP employs a collaborative, process based, method of exhibition making where three regionally based artists will come together and use the gallery as a studio and test space. Following a series of visits to one another’s studios, the artists will present a range of works in progress_ the incomplete and ongoing, the trial, the error, the unfinished, pieces that do not hide all traces of creation, that reveal and display their processes of production. This exhibition offers the artists involved the opportunity to share work and work practices, and to develop and evolve works collectively.
