This Spring we will host the first of two traditional music workshops for young players (Improvers & Advanced) at the centre in fiddle, flute, accordion, whistle, harp, flute and concertina. Small scale workshop settings will allow players the opportunity to learn in a supportive environment. Workshops will be complimented by group performances with tutors. “Improvers” should have the ability to play the basic tunes plus hornpipes beginner jigs and starting reels and a developing the ability to learn by ear. “Advanced” should be proficient in reels and jig; the ability to learn by ear as well as by notes and a good standard of ornamentation.

SATURDAY 25th FEBRUARY | €20 10am – 12pm: Improvers | 2pm – 4pm: Advanced 4.15 - 5pm - Pupils and tutors recital
