TOM THUMB
The blackbird sings to welcome the night. The day slows and soon we are all asleep. All except one who cannot sleep. A child, curious to know who looks after the night. And so begins a magical journey through the dark and into a new day. Andy Manley (White) and Theatre Refleksion are internationally regarded for their poignant and poetic shows for the very young and audiences of Night Light will be immersed in a magical universe.
One night tiny Tom overhears Mum and Dad talking there's nothing left to eat so they are going to leave him and his six brothers in the forest! Outwitting his parents and the ogre, Tom shows everybody that even though he is small he is still mighty as he protects his brothers, finds the treasure and makes sure they'll never be hungry again. Come and join tiny Tom on his very big adventure!
Night Light is co-produced with Imaginate and Red Bridge, commissioned through the Scottish Government’s Edinburgh Festivals Expo Fund and supported by The Danish Arts Foundation and the Municipality of Aarhus.
