Summer Camp Courses Baking $249 June 17-21; July 8-12; July 22-26

Graphic Design $115 June 24-28

This delicious camp offers students the opportunity to gain confidence in the kitchen. Participants will learn the importance of safety, how to use kitchen tools, read & follow a recipe, understand the basics of measurement, and tips for healthy eating. At the end of each class, students will have a take-home creation to share with their family! Three separate classes with three different chef teachers and menus are offered – you may sign up for one or more. Enrollment is extremely limited. The camp fee includes all materials. For girls and boys entering grades 5-9

From logos to posters to the clothes we wear, design is everywhere! See how graphic design is part of every aspect of our lives and apply that knowledge to create your own creative projects. This fast-paced design class combines art, fashion, and technology as students create their own t-shirt design. Using Adobe Illustrator, you’ll see your project from concept through completion, receiving your own artwork on a t-shirt you may proudly wear. For girls and boys entering grades 5-9

Calligraphy $115 June 10-14

Royal Kids Exploratorium $139

In Calligraphy camp, students will design and execute lettering with broad tip calligraphy pens and create works of art using unique flourishes. Receiving handson instruction and feedback, students will build the penmanship skills that leave them eager to make their mark! For girls and boys entering grades 5-9

June 24-28 and July 8-12

Boys & girls aged 5-7 will love this week of fun hands-on activities, designed to stimulate the imagination and exercise. Campers will enjoy painting, coloring, creating slime, relay races, and even kids yoga! Two separate camps are offered - sign up for one or both! For girls and boys ages 5-7

Ceramics $115 July 15-19

Math Academy $15/day July 22 - August 2

Where can aspiring artists express themselves, unlock their creativity, and get a little dirty in the process? Ceramics will have campers using their hands, fingers, and a few simple tools to create beautiful and functional clay objects. By the end of the week, students will have a hand-made treasure to keep forever! For girls and boys entering grades 5-9

Eight stand-alone sessions offer a review of select mathematics topics for enrolled campers. Each session is $15 and runs from 8:45 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. Students may attend one, some, or all of the sessions. See page 6-7 for topics. For girls and boys entering grades 5-9

Let your imagination take center stage while learning the secrets of exciting storytelling! Participants will be challenged to add interest and suspense to their writing, practicing the same techniques famous authors use to create the pageturning adventures they love to read. This camp will help develop strong writing skills and develop the author’s voice through self-expression. For girls and boys entering grades 5-9

Kids who want to see their photography skills soar will enjoy this photo camp designed to inspire and teach aspiring young photographers the basics of photography. Students will enjoy photo “walkabouts” around campus and in Acacia Park as they capture nature photos while learning the importance of proper exposure, composition, and creating a photo with impact. Cameras will be provided by the school, but students should bring an SD Camera Card (minimum 2 GB) to use in class. For girls and boys entering grades 5-9

Digital Darkroom $99 July 8-12

Physics $75 July 1-3

Ever have a photo that was “almost” perfect? Want to know how to fix a photo that is too dark, remove a trash can in the background, or smooth a facial blemish? Learn the techniques of blending multiple images into a photo collage, add text to an image, and add a border for emphasis. These things and more are demonstrated in this introduction to PhotoShop- where students will use their own photos to create a Summer Memories book. This class is 50% art, 50% technology, and 100% fun! For girls and boys entering grades 5-9

Discover the fun side of physical science in this hands-on camp brimming with experiments and wonder! Using observation and activities, campers will explore topics such as motion, electricity, magnetism, energy, sound, and light. Physics camp will be an exciting ride through space and time! For girls and boys entering grades 5-9

Girls will be guided to develop skills and find resources to dream big and lead with confidence. Through arts and crafts, prayer and meditation, dance, self-defense, guest speakers, and group discussion, each girl will gain the tools and confidence she needs to recognize and live up to her full potential. Camps are designed for two separate age groups: girls entering grades 3-5 (July 1-3); and grades 6-8 (July 22-26)

Calling all mad scientists! Enter into the world of science in this hands-on chance to turn liquids into solids, extract DNA from strawberries, make invisible ink, and create a homemade lava lamp! With an emphasis on basic, real-world lab techniques, this class will teach campers the joy of creation and discovery. For girls and boys entering grades 5-9
