OUR MISSION As a college preparatory diocesan Catholic high school, Rosary Academy empowers the mind, body, and spirit of each young woman in a transformative educational experience. Guided by the Blessed Mother, Rosary Academy embraces and challenges its students with an innovative instructional curriculum to achieve academic success and ignite the call to serve the dear neighbor without distinction.

A MESSAGE FROM THE HEAD OF SCHOOL Loyal Rosary supporters, It is with deep gratitude and pride that we share with you the 2020-2021 Rosary Academy Annual Report. We all know that the last 18 months presented many challenges, but the time has also brought us many blessings. Your confidence, time, talent, and treasure are just of few of those blessings. I am awed by the dedication and generosity of Rosary’s alumnae, parents, and benefactors. Together, you have made it possible for us to provide our students an education characterized by scholarship and service, compassion and community, faith and fun. Your gifts allowed us to continue to provide a transformative and innovative education for young women. Over the last fiscal year, we have been able to expand our student support services with the addition of a fourth academic and college counselor, increase our financial assistance, launch our strategic plan, establish a joint day of giving with Servite, secured funding and purchased a video board for the Karcher Center, reimagined our lunch area, and found many creative thinkers who inspired us to rethink our fundraising events. Our financial health remains strong, and we are committed to safeguarding the strength of our educational programs. We continue to see an increase in the need for financial assistance and this will be an ongoing challenge. Your support is more important than ever. We continually strive to offer an educational program committed to excellence that will prepare our girls for life in the 21st century. By building upon our existing programs and developing new initiatives, we foster opportunities for our students to grow in faith and leadership, and into the young women that God has called them to be. The development of the whole person – mind, body and soul, remains the heart of a Rosary education. Through your generosity, we are educating young women not only to live good lives but also to bring good to the world. Your commitment to Rosary, our students, teachers, and mission make our school a place of excellence. We accomplish our goals by living our faith, following our charism, and working to complete the strategic plan. I have much confidence and faith that we can leave a legacy of growth, excellence, resilience, and devotion. I would be remiss if I did not take a moment to thank the members of our Consultative School Board, and finance and advancement committees for their passion and dedication to Rosary. I especially want to thank the health committee that formed last year to ensure the health and safety of our students. Their guidance and expertise was a blessing as we partnered during the pandemic. A MESSAGE FROM THE PRINCIPAL Your support has allowed us to maintain our unique one-to-one tablet PC program, one tablet PC for every student and faculty member. It enables Rosary to provide professional development to improve our instruction in the classroom. I am proud to say we have classes for all levels of students. We offer courses in advanced placement college-level, honors, and academic. Just as important, with the generous support we receive, we have improved our programs for students with learning disabilities, the Rosary Support Program (RSP), and those who struggle in school. Additionally, your support has allowed us to hire more counselors reducing our counselor-to-student ratio to 150 students per counselor. Most Catholic schools have a 250 student to one counselor ratio, and public schools have an average of 600 students to one counselor. In addition, we were able to maintain our director of social and emotional learning to help students with anxiety, stress, and just as significantly, help teachers implement ways of incorporating management skills within their classes. Your support helps us retain quality faculty, improve our science labs, and build additional classrooms as we look to the future. We are eager to create an innovation space, similar to what others call a Makers Space. Partnering with you allows us to constantly strive to develop and implement the most innovative and current curriculum that challenges our students to be leaders in many different fields and get into colleges they only dreamed of attending.
