By embodying gospel values, Rosary students can be the hands and feet of Christ to our world. They do this by living our charism – to serve the dear neighbor without distinction. Defining our core values based on our charism will give more meaning to our charism. Our chosen value words should embody the Rosary spirit.

Letter from The Head of School

Dear Friends of Rosary Academy,

This year marks an extraordinary milestone in the life of Rosary Academy — our 60th anniversary. For six decades, Rosary has been forming young women of faith, intellect, and leadership, empowered to carry Christ into the world. This anniversary is not only a celebration of our past, but also a moment to look with hope and vision toward our future.

One of the most exciting developments of this anniversary year is the establishment of the Rosary Royals Foundation. This new foundation strengthens our ability to ensure long-term sustainability for Rosary, protecting our mission for generations to come. It is a bold step forward, rooted in gratitude for all those who have built Rosary and invested in the lives of our students.

Every day, we see the difference philanthropy makes in the daily life of our school. Thanks to the generosity of our community, a significant gift in the 2024-2025 school year directly supported teacher retention and professional development. These funds allowed us to:

• Provide our faculty with access to high-quality professional learning opportunities in curriculum design, instructional strategies, and leadership.

• Support teacher growth that directly impacts the classroom experience of every Rosary student.

• Retain outstanding educators who are deeply committed to the mission of Catholic, all-girls education.

The impact is tangible: stronger curriculum, innovative teaching, and inspired leadership. In short, your investment has ensured that Rosary women receive an education that is both academically excellent and rooted in faith.

As we celebrate 60 years of Rosary, we are deeply grateful for every alumna, parent, grandparent, and friend who has helped sustain this mission. Your generosity continues to shape the lives of young women who will go on to be bold leaders in their communities and in the Church.

On behalf of the Rosary community, thank you for believing in our mission and investing in our future. Together, we honor the past, celebrate the present, and build a strong foundation for the next 60 years.

With gratitude,

Plan Update Strategic

Over the past four years, Rosary Academy has faithfully advanced the vision outlined in the 2020 Strategic Plan. Guided by the values of faith, service, and action, our faculty, staff, and leadership have worked diligently to ensure that Rosary remains a place where Catholic identity, academic excellence, and operational vitality thrive.

Honoring Our Catholic Identity and Charism

From the outset, Rosary’s mission has been deeply rooted in Catholic values. One of the most profound accomplishments of this strategic planning cycle was the formal articulation of Rosary’s charism and core values in 2022, inspired by the legacy of the Sisters of St. Joseph of Orange. These values—centered on faith, service, and action—continue to guide our educational and spiritual mission, shaping young women to become leaders grounded in Gospel values.

Catholic identity remains at the heart of all we do. Faculty and staff have created opportunities for students to experience faith formation, participate in vibrant retreats, and embrace meaningful service outreach. Today, 100% of Rosary students engage in service each year, partnering with approved agencies in alignment with Catholic social teaching. Service and retreat participation are now essential graduation requirements, ensuring that every Rosary graduate embodies the call to “reach out to the dear neighbor without distinction.”

Strengthening Financial Foundations and Facilities

Rosary has also taken important steps toward securing its financial future. In September 2023, the school partnered with Partners in Mission (PIM) to conduct a feasibility study for a capital campaign. The study confirmed Rosary’s potential to raise $12 million, providing a powerful foundation for future growth. With PIM’s guidance, Rosary formally launched its capital campaign in February 2024.

To further ensure long-term stability, leadership has established a Finance Committee to advise the Head of School and Executive Director of Finance and Business Operations. A comprehensive master plan for campus facilities is underway, ensuring that Rosary’s physical spaces will support innovation, collaboration, and community for years to come.

Looking Ahead: The Next Five Years

As Rosary prepares for the next cycle of strategic planning, school leadership will focus not only on advancing the goals of the 2020 plan but also on implementing the Educational Improvement Plan (EIP) as directed by the Western Catholic Educational Association (WCEA). Together, the strategic plan and EIP will serve as the roadmap leading Rosary into the 2030 school year.

Rosary Academy prepares young women to reach out to the dear neighbor without distinction. ”

Explore the Benefits

OF STRATEGIC GIVING

Just as we are all stronger when surrounded by family and friends, Rosary Academy is stronger with your partnership. Rosary is dedicated to guiding you in creating an impactful legacy. By planning ahead, you can care for your loved ones now, and support our ability to ensure the Rosary experience remains vibrant for future generations.

Understanding charitable giving strategies can help donors choose the most tax-efficient way to support Rosary and provide for their family. As a 501(c)(3) charitable organization, donors may give directly to Rosary. We work with donors to evaluate giving strategies that align with their goals-maximizing tax benefits, creating tax-advantaged.

STOCKS & SECURITIES:

Donors can avoid paying capital gains tax on the appreciation and receive a charitable deduction for the full fair market value of the asset.

LIFE INSURANCE:

Donors can simply name the charity as a beneficiary on an existing policy with Rosary as the owner and beneficiary. By paying the premiums to Rosary, donors can receive a yearly deduction.

BEQUESTS:

Including a gift to Rosary in a will and trust can provide an estate tax deduction and ensure that donors create a legacy that supports their commitment to Rosary.

With a life estate gift, donors can enjoy the benefits of giving their home to charity while still living in it. This option can potentially provide donors with income tax deductions, and also help reduce the taxable value of their estate.

Royal

LEGACY SOCIETY

Established in 2022, the Royal Legacy Society recognizes the generosity of friends and family of Rosary who have included Rosary Academy who have chosen to include Rosary in their wills or other forms of planned giving. These thoughtful gifts do not affect your current financial resources but will create a lasting impact on Rosary for generations to come.

Members of the Royal Legacy Society are recognized in our Impact Report and invited to exclusive events throughout the school year.

To explore giving options or to share your intentions, please visit plannedgiving.rosaryacademy.org/give

REAL ESTATE:

Donors can avoid paying capital gains tax on the appreciation and receive a charitable deduction for the full fair market value of the asset.

RETIREMENT ASSETS:

If donors are 70 ½ or older, they can make a Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD) from their IRA directly to a charity, avoiding taxes. At age 72, they can fulfill all or part of their Required Minimum Distribution (RMD) without paying income taxes.

CHARITABLE GIFT ANNUITIES:

Donors and a qualified charity create a contract that provides the donors with a fixed income for life in exchange for a donation.

DONOR-ADVISED FUNDS:

By funding a DAF, donors can take advantage of income tax deductions now, while having the flexibility to decide later when, how, and who to support. Plus, the money in a DAF is invested, so it has the potential to grow over time.

A Gift that Transforms: Anonymous Donor Invests in Rosary’s Faculty and Staff

In the heart of Rosary Academy, where tradition meets excellence, one extraordinary act of generosity has created a ripple effect that will be felt for years to come. During the 2024–2025 school year, an anonymous alumnae family, whose youngest daughter will graduate in 2026, made a transformative $500,000 gift to support faculty and staff retention. Deeply appreciative of the dedication and influence of Rosary’s educators, the family sought to honor those who shape the lives of students each day.

Their generosity ensures that Rosary’s exceptional teachers and staff remain at the heart of the school’s mission—continuing to inspire, guide, and empower every young woman who walks through Rosary’s doors.

Why Retention Matters

Behind every student’s success is a teacher who inspires, challenges, and believes in her potential. At Rosary, retaining and recruiting talented educators is more than a priority—it is a promise to provide young women with role models who will shape their futures. This remarkable gift directly strengthens that promise.

By investing in the people who guide students every day, the donor reinforced the value of teaching as a vocation. For Rosary’s faculty and staff, this is more than financial support—it is a message that their dedication is seen, appreciated, and essential to the Academy’s continued excellence.

Reviving Professional Growth

Perhaps the most striking impact of this gift has been in the area of professional development. For many faculty members, attending national conferences and workshops had become a distant memory—opportunities that had not been accessible since the 1990s. Now, thanks to this gift, Rosary teachers are returning to professional networks, engaging with the latest research, and bringing back innovative teaching strategies to their classrooms. These opportunities are not only revitalizing individual teachers but also enriching the entire school community with fresh ideas and renewed passion.

The Spirit of Giving Back

The donor, choosing to remain anonymous, shared a simple but powerful motivation: to give back in a way that truly makes a difference. By focusing on faculty and staff, they recognized that the greatest investment is in people—the ones who nurture, mentor, and inspire Rosary students every day.

Their generosity reflects a deep understanding of what sustains excellence in education: not just buildings or programs, but the people who bring learning to life.

A Legacy for the Future

The true impact of this gift extends far beyond today. By supporting faculty retention and professional growth, Rosary strengthens its ability to attract and keep outstanding educators for generations to come. Students will continue to benefit from teachers who are not only highly skilled but also deeply committed to their calling. This extraordinary act of giving reminds us all of the power of generosity and the enduring importance of supporting those who dedicate their lives to education. The donor’s legacy will live on in every student who walks Rosary’s halls, carrying forward the knowledge, inspiration, and mentorship of teachers who are empowered to thrive. This anonymous gift is more than a donation—it is a transformation, a renewal of spirit, and a lasting investment in the heart of Rosary Academy: its people.

“A teacher that has made an immense impact on my high school career is Ms. Kelly, my Honors History teacher sophomore year. Her patience and kindness that she displays to each student is truly unmatched. She fosters true relationships with her students and her guidance will forever be engraved in my Rosary career.”

- Olivia Perez ‘27

“Your support has made it possible for me to participate in a truly beneficial professional learning experience. Because of your kindness, I am better equipped to foster curiosity and understanding in unique ways that relate to Geography, spatial understanding, and helping students question and seek answers…”

– Kirstin Neumann, Geography and French Teacher

“There are so many teachers at Rosary Academy who have made an impact on my life, however Mrs. Grasz has a special place in my heart. She was my Biology teacher Freshman year and my Oceanography teacher Junior year. Mrs. Grasz starts every class period with special intentions and a meaningful prayer. She has helped me grow both spiritually and intellectually. Mrs. Grasz teaches by using interactive notes and interesting labs. I love how she creates a fun learning environment.”

– Elizabeth Braatz ‘27

“Because of your support, Rosary faculty were able to immerse themselves in a completely transformative experience on the stunning campus of Notre Dame University for the Teaching Life and Human Dignity Symposium. This was a deep dive into what it means to bring the concept of Human Dignity into the classroom no matter the subject-matter of the class and how this will help bring about the unity that we are called on to foster as Catholics.”

– Cindy Jenkins, Social Studies Department Chair

On September 13, 2025, Rosary celebrated its 60th anniversary at the Royal Gala. During this milestone event, Dr. Shawna Pautsch, Head of School, announced the establishment of the Rosary Royals Foundation, a new initiative created to ensure the long-term strength and sustainability of Rosary Academy.

This Foundation introduces a new Endowment dedicated to supporting three key priorities: the retention of our extraordinary faculty and staff, tuition assistance for families, and the continued enhancement of our campus. Funds contributed to the Foundation are invested in perpetuity, providing a continuous source of financial support for Rosary.

At the anniversary gala, attendees raised $211,000, and received a matching gift of $500,000, bringing the total to an incredible $711,000 in seed funding for the new Endowment. This achievement represents an important step toward securing Rosary’s mission and ensuring a lasting foundation for future generations.
