These drawings show the construction of a cavity wall including inner and outer leaves insulation, and damp proofing. The top image shows where the wall meets the roof and the steps that must be taken to prevent cold bridging.

This shows what must happen when a cavity wall meets a window opening.
This is a detail of a windowsill and how it should be properly insulated and constructed.
This is a drawn example of the building regulations surrounding stairways, landings and corridors.



These are my hand drawings. On the top left I have envisioned a public garden or courtyard with a building possibly housing a bar or restaurant with 360-degree views.
The top right is a modern interpretation of a plantation house with a wrap-around balcony providing shade to the inner house.
Middle right is a sketch of the back of my own house in Dublin.



Bottom right was a class activity where we had to sketch 14 basic building shapes in 2 minutes. Some of these are recognisable designs and some are made up.
