MISSING LINK Term 3 2018

PRINCIPAL’S REPORT What a wonderful term this has been. As our followers on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter already know, we have featured multiple stories every week of this term and thanks to everyone who has contributed photos and stories to our social media this term. Term 3 is the term where we receive the most feedback on the work the school has been doing and this ML is full of those stories. Highlights include:  The election of the new Student Leadership Team for 2019. Congratulations to the new team who have already demonstrated how well they will work together to lead the school: - School Captains: Furat Almoail and Will San - Principal’s Representative: Amanda Fuiono - Sports Captains: Aidan Beath and Tiarna Keen - Senior Leaders: Meena Abawi, Saja Alhameed, Emma Ayre, Skylar Bairstow, Amanda Birmingham, April Bryce, Nansita Charan, Shania Fenech, Chloe Norton, Natalie O’Connor and Kearna White  The large number of Year 12 students successfully applying for scholarships and early entry to university as well as those receiving offers of traineeships and apprenticeships for 2019.  The largest percentage of Year 11 students completing the Preliminary HSC at or above grade level for some years.  The Bring It On Dance Team winning the hip hop competition this year. Thanks and congratulations to all students with a special congratulations to Isaiah Bondoc whose choreography was spectacular.  The Under 14s NRL Women’s Team who are 2018 all-schools champions. This is a major achievement.  The recognition at the Sports Recognition Assembly of 406 students (including 206 female students) who represented the school in sports as members of teams or with individual achievements. Please see the annual report included with the sport articles (page 16).  Awards to: - John Meng, Conny Mattimore and the Wellbeing Team for Outstanding Leadership at the ACEL (Australian Council for Educational Leaders) NSW awards in August. 1
