993/964 Register Run to Brandy Creek Estate
Achilly but sunny start with the forecast not great and some very heavy rain a few days earlier. Wet road conditions? Lots of new potholes? What would we find? But this did not deter the 16 sparkling Porsches lined up raring to go, including Turbos and a Macan. We set off from Hallam for a great run down through South Gippsland to the pretty village of Loch for morning tea.
With lots of sunshine and a local market that begged to be explored, it gave the group opportunity for a range of activities including enjoying coffee and yummy freshly baked scones at Loch Village Food Store, along with the usual catch-up chats and for some; a spot of window shopping.
The second half of the run was through the spectacular scenic roads of the Bass Coast Shire, Kongwak, Jumbunna, and passing through Korumburra and up to our luncheon destination Brandy Creek Estate for a delicious and plentiful 8-course shared plated Tapas lunch overlooking a sunny valley of sparkling vineyards. New members Andrew & Sue Pitchford (2018 Macan) were welcomed and were also one of the 3 raffle winners of a delicious bottle of Brandy Creek Estate 2019 Tempranillo.
A big thank you to Leon and Irene Christodulaki for all their time and organisation for what was a most enjoyable day.
Thanks to event organisers Leon and Irene
