2026 RONIX HOME BROCHURE

CONGRATULATIONS ON YOUR NEW SURFER!

Ronix was conceptualized with a handful of storied watersports fans excited to write a new chapter. The idea was born at 8:12pm at the same place where this surfer is made; in the good ol’ US of A. So, in honor of our favorite number, we have two new models made at H.O.M.E., totaling 812 surfers. Each surfer is serial numbered and a part of our history with our most modernized construction.

HERB O’BRIEN MANUFACTURING EXPERIENCE

WHAT IS

H.O.M.E.?

This is the magical place where it all began - the birthplace of Ronix. In the winter of 20052006 we set up shop here and created our own metaphorical water wonderland. We all worked out of an oversized garage and incubated what we feel is the most important brand in our industry. Long hours, minimal pay, and no heat - a like-minded crew of watermen and women developed a culture where...

FOAM GOT LIGHTER SHAPES GOT FASTER FINS LEARNED TO SWIM. CARBON BECAME DARK MATTER. AND MOST IMPORTANTLY, SURFING BECAME MORE FUN!

Now 20 years later - with many of those same people still at Ronix - we have outgrown that garage. However, we are proud to have two of our favorite surf designs and constructions still made here. Your Osmo or M50 is more than just a Made in the USA surfer from our favorite lake. It is handmade at a place built by Herb O’Brien, the pioneer of the first wakeboard, wakeskate, and wakesurfer and one of the founders of Ronix. These hallowed grounds have fostered a mystique within watersports.

WHERE IS

H.O.M.E.?

Located near Seattle, WA near some of the most advanced aerospace composite suppliers in the country. Over the past 60+ years of making the finest watersports products, our Rolodex of friendships has grown with many of these manufacturers. These companies come visit us, we teach them how to ride, and they show us the latest in carbon atoms. As a result, we have been able to use materials that have truly blown us away.

CIRCA 1967 | HERB O’BRIEN MAKING ONE OF HIS FIRST WATERSKIS

FROM LEGACY, TO THE LAKE... HERE’S A BIT MORE ABOUT us

A group of people with over a 1/2 century of designing water sports products responsible for the first compression molded waterski, wakeboard, wakesurf board and wakeskate decided to start over in the winter of 05/06. A chance to make a point, confront the norm and

answer the question why.

In the years to follow we won several industry Innovations of the Year awards, created a year-round R&D Lake in Florida, and expanded our diverse surf line of boards into 9 distinct constructions and over 20 unique shapes. We will never forget our humble roots - working out of a barn without heat - with people saying it won’t work.

Ronix has poured an amazing foundation, but we feel we have a lot left to accomplish, and with a clear vision and the most streamlined process we have

ever had, we will reach our intended passage set out by our visionary - Herb O’Briento create timeless innovations yielding the highest quality materials sourced from 27 unique factories, spreading over 10 countries. A more detailed and timely way of doing business for sure, but when you jump off the deck into a barrel and experience the push of our new M50, or the high-speed energy of a new Osmo, you will know why. Both packed with a new word in surfing – Speedwalls.

MILE extra THE RONIX

Your surfboard features the following:

100% BIO RESIN

Not the standard, 30% version.

CARBON EPOXY FINS THAT FLOAT*

H.O.M.E. fins have some phenomenal swimming skills. *With the exception of the Cheese Grater fins

CARBON TOP SHEET

Other companies use a traditional woven carbon fiber that has high and low spots when they are laced on top of one another altering the reaction of the board.

We worked with a company out of France to develop the ultimate textile – part innegra (low weight, high stiffness, and increased absorption and vibration dampening) –integrated with strands of carbon fiber that aid to the explosive reaction time of this Dark Matter construction.

MOLDS

Our tooling is locally sourced using high grade alloys that can withstand higher pressure, disperse more resin and that can otherwise “deaden the feel of your skimmer”.

HIGH DENSITY FOAM

We use 60 kilograms per cubic meter foam that is up to 5 times denser than other surf foams. The foam costs a lot but drastically impacts the explosive characteristics we were going for with this series.

SPEEDWALLS

New for this year, our surfers got a whole lot stronger and faster. Built-in side bumpers that make the accidental tower smack a lot less stressful. But what’s even cooler, is now you can ride that much deeper in the pocket. Each board has a unique poured urethane compound that reduces friction on the board allowing a rider to ride in areas they never thought possible.

Wherever the bar is for wakesurfing, we guarantee we will always exceed it. We pride ourselves in knowing that it isn’t our philosophy to meet the standards – it is to blow away the possibilities. We will never be outdone.

DIGGING IN TO THE

LET’S TELL YOU ABOUT THE GOODS YOU JUST GOT… ingredients

FIN DESIGNS

NUB FLOATING FIN

Much like your rear stabilizer on your foil kit, the Nub fin is there to accent the personality and aid the ride that the other fins are generating. Like a perfect rhythm guitarist – it’s there to complement not dominate.

BLUEPRINT FLOATING FIN

Whether it’s our sleek 1” design or our 2.5” version, they are both a classic traditional shape for surf/skim purists.

CHEESE GRATER

Anything but traditional is our latest design. As a rider sets an edge the water will flow thru the holes. This water flow will greatly alter the personality of the ride depending on which side you mount the fin on. Unlike most surfers that have a left and a right side – this has an A and a B side. Want your surfer to feel more locked in, creating more grip and power through a turn? Have the “A” and “B” logos facing the outside. The holes will channel the water from the inside of the fin to the outside. Vice versa –Want your board to break free easier providing a quicker release for a well-executed 360? Put the “A” and “B” logos facing on the inside. Now the holes will channel the water from the outside to the inside – this disruption creates a floaty relaxed free feeling.

TRACTION

We love a good ol’ fashioned machined EVA pad – but we are also a sucker for silicone traction too. We flipped a coin, and it landed on both. So, we proudly present: a perfect blend of a soft adaptive EVA with a tacky silicone.

BUTTON FIN SYSTEM

Every Ronix fin that comes out of our H.O.M.E. is complete with our Button system. Now, the rider doesn’t have to create leverage to disengage the fin, the internal spring system does the dirty work and with a simple press of the Button, that fin is out.

CONSTRUCTION

Comprised of bio resin, carbon fiber woven with innegra, high-density reactive machined foam, and now speedwalls. The Big Bang created Dark Matter – Ronix proudly presents Dark Matter in surf constructions. The most advanced line up of goods make up this new layup.

Rhetorical - yes - but we really mean it when we say we couldn’t do any of this if it wasn’t for you...

PRODUCT INSTRUCTIONS AND WARNINGS

Water sports can be safe and fun for all levels of enthusiasts. This User’s Manual is intended to alert you to some of the potentially hazardous conditions that may arise during participation in all water sports.

To prevent the risk of SERIOUS INJURY or DEATH, follow these guidelines and the Water Sports Responsibility Code

TO REDUCE RISKS:

• ALWAYS steer board away from rear of boat, if boat stops or slows suddenly.

• AVOID sudden stops when pulling a rider because the rider may hit the boat or the propeller.

• BE AWARE if rider falls backwards, the wakesurf board may be launched forward into the watercraft. Driver and occupants need to be alert to avoid contact with wakesurf board.

• ALWAYS avoid breathing engine exhaust. If you smell

Engine exhaust contains carbon monoxide (CO) which is a colorless, odorless and tasteless gas. Carbon monoxide is produced by burning fuel. Signs of carbon monoxide poisoning include nausea, headache, dizziness, drowsiness, and lack of consciousness. NEVER sit on the watercraft transom or boarding platform while the engine is running.

ALWAYS make sure the engine is properly tuned and running well. A poorly tuned engine may produce high concentrations of carbon monoxide.
