15th Annual Ron’s Run for the Roses Welcome!
Thank you for attending today’s 15th Annual Ron’s Run for Roses. As we gather here, I am overwhelmed with gratitude for the incredible support we have received from the Foundation’s dedicated volunteers and our resourceful staff, who always find a way to make miracles happen, and our faithful vendors. Their unwavering commitment to the fight against pancreatic cancer has transformed today’s event into something extraordinary, and it has been an honor to collaborate with each of them.
I also extend my deepest gratitude to our esteemed sponsors and generous donors. Your unwavering support and belief in our cause have been the cornerstone of our success. Without your contributions, today’s event would not have been possible. Your generosity fuels our mission and brings hope to countless individuals and families affected by pancreatic cancer. Your names are etched in the fabric of our Foundation, and we are forever grateful for your kindness and generosity.
Reflecting back to 2009, when I hosted the inaugural Ron’s Run for the Roses, I am filled with profound gratitude for the journey of the Ron Foley Foundation over these past 15 years. From modest beginnings, our Foundation has blossomed into a beacon of hope for pancreatic cancer patients and their families. While our progress has been remarkable, much work remains to be done. Today, the five-year survival rate for pancreatic cancer stands at 13%, a significant improvement from the mere 5% survival rate in 2004 when Ron bravely faced his diagnosis. Our mission today is to continue pushing the boundaries of hope and progress.
As we gather this afternoon, I encourage you to reconnect with familiar faces from previous years while warmly welcoming new acquaintances. Let us cherish this moment of unity as we come together with a shared purpose: to stand in solidarity with those battling pancreatic cancer and to honor the memory of those we have lost to this relentless disease. Embrace the spirit of today’s festivities, filled with uplifting stories, spirited auctions, live music, delicious food, and the boundless love of friends and family. And remember, when it comes to bidding, let your generosity know no bounds! Together, we are making a difference. With love and gratitude, Barbara

Ron’s Rescue
Imagine receiving the devastating diagnosis that you, your spouse, or other family member may have pancreatic cancer.
Your world is forever changed.
When you confront the words "pancreatic cancer," it feels like facing the brink of despair. This diagnosis brings immense emotional and financial strain upon you and your family. Witnessing your beloved fight the toughest battle of their life while juggling financial obligations such as bills, transportation, childcare, counseling, and estate planning can make the days seem too short and the funds too scarce to navigate this challenging time.
Established in 2012, Ron's Rescue Fund is the heart of the Ron Foley Foundation. Contributions to this fund are directed to individuals fighting pancreatic cancer, to alleviate the financial burdens of this disease.
Over the past twelve years, Ron's Rescue Fund has provided over $500,000 in financial support to pancreatic cancer patients in need.
The continued success of Ron's Rescue Fund hinges entirely on your generosity. Your 100% taxdeductible contribution can help us sustain hope. Thank you for your unwavering support.
The mission of the Ron Foley Foundation
• Fund medical research leading to improved diagnosis, more effective treatment and a cure for pancreatic cancer.
• Promote public awareness of pancreatic cancer through education.
• Reduce human suffering caused by pancreatic cancer by giving direct financial aid to pancreatic cancer patients.

Congratulations on the 15th Anniversary of “Ron’s Run for the Roses.”
The Gent family is a proud participant in its success.

We are proud to support the Ron Foley Foundation and be part of the 15th Annual Ron’s Run for the Roses.
