Jason G Fordham

Memorial Endowment Fund

We are very pleased to announce the creation of the Jason G. Fordham Memorial Endowment Fund.

Gifted by an individual who asked not to be identified, the Jason G. Fordham Memorial Endowment Fund was established to honor the memory of Jason Fordham, who passed away September 24, 2013, following a 4year battle with cancer. Jason was a supporter of the arts in Rome and Floyd County, Georgia, particularly related to theatre and the preservation of the Historic DeSoto Theatre and was a member of both the Rome Little Theatre Board of Directors and the Historic DeSoto Theatre Foundation Board, serving as president of the Rome Little Theatre Board of Directors from 2009-2011. The designated purposes of the Jason G. Fordham Memorial Endowment Fund are: (a) to honor Jason Fordham’s contributions to theatre; (b) to serve as Jason Fordham’s legacy; and (c) to provide on-going support for Rome Little Theatre and the Historic DeSoto Theatre Foundation. The income from the investment of monies in the Jason G. Fordham Memorial Endowment Fund will be equally divided between Rome Little Theatre and the Historic DeSoto Theatre Foundation to be used in whatever manner the individual organizations deem appropriate in support of the arts in Rome and Floyd County, Georgia. In addition to the $100,000.00 initial donation to establish the Jason G. Fordham Memorial Endowment Fund, both Rome Little Theatre and the Historic DeSoto Theatre Foundation gladly accept donations to the Endowment Fund to honor Jason’s legacy and his many contributions to theatre as well as provide on-going support for Rome Little Theatre and the Historic DeSoto Theatre Foundation. Donations earmarked for the Jason G. Fordham Memorial Endowment Fund may be safely made at romelittletheatre.org or mailed to the Historic DeSoto Theatre, 530 Broad Street, Rome, GA 30161.

DIKOD TRIAANENEN FOL (Finns Ain’t What They Used To Be) Book by

Bin Faaarkrekkion From an idea by

Sid, Coco and Edith Piaf Lyrics by

Hutti Jaarvennianen, Walli Maatritiiiaaaeenioon and

Jiggi Ni. The story, in music and song, of Finland's transformation from a predominantly rural agricultural base to one of the most sophisticated industrial and entrepreneurial economies in the world.

MUSICAL NUMBERS "These Little Finns Remind Me of You" "Milk It" "I Hear Your Nokia But I Can't Come In " "Milk It (Reprise)" "It's a Bleeding (Economic) Miracle! " "Foek You, Farmers " "Milk It (Finale)" THE ACTION TAKES PLACE ENTIRELY IN A SAUNA. DIK OD TRIAANENEN FOL WILL BE PERFORMED WITH THREE INTERMISSIONS: ONE EVERY TWO-AND-A-HALF HOURS. Featuring the show-stopping, foot-stomping East Finland Moose Ballet45 magnificent creatures in high-stepping harmony. Believed to be the greatest display of horn ever seen on an American stage.

WHO’S WHO BIN FAAARKREKKION (Writer) Faarkrekkion's career typifies the Finnish economic miracle. Born the son of a humble woodcutter, Bin worked his way up through shrubbery management to become Professor of Treadmill Dynamics at the University of Toooti, believed to be the 28th most northerly university in the world. "I have always been interested in the relatively rapid transition from a predominantly rural agricultural base to one of the most advanced industrial economies in the Western world, and one day in the sauna, it came to me: What a great subject for a musical."

RUUDI KOKKI (Producer) Like Bin Faaarkrekkion, Kokki's life has had its twists and turns. He learnt his trade upcountry where he was, for a time, the 28th most northerly person in Finland. "My father was a humble woodcutter. But at these latitudes, where it is dark for half the year, this was a very dangerous business, as it was not always possible to see where the trees are falling-and one year my father brought down a huge spruce on top of his friend Nee-Wom, partly killing him." Kokki 's father would never touch a tree again. He would hang about the cabin nursing his grief, rocking backwards and forward s and listening to the hated Swedish group

WHO’S WHO Abba. "My loathing of Abba, and their enormous earnings, led me to my first musical venture, the formation of an alternative Finnish group: Udda. Two boys, two girls and, my master-stroke, one hermaphrodite, Ken-Angela Nuuti," Udda's problems are now well known. Shiiti refused to share a towel with Noggi, Bonk complained that Tuulivaarskinonen's name was bigger on the door and Ken-Angela turned out to be Norwegian. Kokki changed his name to Art Polaris and wrote Do Skleeezwiaanaenblon, an erotic opera set amongst the winkle pickers on Finland's Baltic Sea coast. The show closed after only eight minutes. The sight of 94 aroused winkles was too much even for Helsinki's liberal Ghooti Sponen newspaper. "Do Skleeezwiaaanaenblon gives Finnish erotic opera a bad name. I've seen more erotic activity at a builder's yard."Undaunted, Kokki settowork onan erotic opera setina builder's yard. DiHoviekrekkertilllniamen, the story of a young female crane operator who pleasures herself during preliminary works connected with the extension of Helsinki's Metro system, was an instant hit. "I discovered, for the first time, how many people were interested in the extension of the Metro system, and in the burgeoning Finnish economy generally." Kokki set himself a new task, to represent this extraordinary economic transformation in music, dance, mime and magic. One night he was explaining his plans at the exclusive Sons of Humble Woodcutter's Club in the chic Kongspalatzen, when a fellow diner pricked up his hears. His name was Bin Faaarkrekkion. The rest is history. DILLI AARNEN Dilli, 43, began her career understudying Speeni Solkomen in The Keith Richard Story. She's married to pro-

ducer Mooni Moorikikinen but is having an affair with OstFwellok and Stubbi Bwenolllenson. She has won four Golden Nukkies. SWELL PEST Swell is best known for his portrayal of Gossi Tweshonen, the unsighted bus driver in Finn TV's hit series "Aaarghh! Villianomeniaanen Schiederrbobrana Ig'' ("Watch Out!"). He lives in the woods many miles north of Helsinki in a house modeled on Steve Earle's early hit "Guitar Town." SADD AAARSE As well as being Finland's open unicycle champion, Sadd is a keen environmentalist, who believes that man has much to learn from the moose. "We think we have all the answers, but we don't. If we did we'd have horns." He has twice won the Shapeless Gray Thing of Tampere. THE HONNI OBIKKIONEN SINGERS Twelve boys, seven girls and an ostrich who all met up at Utsjoki Cold Research Institute in the extreme north of Finland. "There was not much to do in the evenings but sneeze," laughs Honni, now 57, "so we used to cheer everyone up with a few Leonard Cohen songs. They went down so well that we now do Tom Waits, Tibetan songs for the dead and Petula Clark." A little-known fact about the Honni Obikkionen Singers is that they once had two ostriches in the team. STONG VATTIAAANIKKERA (Moose Trainer). Stong, twice winner of the most westerly man in Finland, grew up with moose. "Very often I would go down to breakfast and find moose in the kitchen, in the car and sometimes listening to the radio, dressed up to look like my mother and

WHO’S WHO father." During almost a decade of psychiatric treatment, Stong took up ballet as a way of dealing with what he called "bad thoughts." The treatment worked, and Stong took, and on the third time passed, accountancy exams. He returned to the community and rose to become CEO and lifetime president of the Finnish Steel Corporation. What few people knew was that in the evening Stong was combining the two "loves of my life": moose and ballet. Without anyone knowing, he hired a theatre and put on his very own creation, Moose Lake. As a result he was re-admitted to hospital where, despite everyone's best efforts, he wrote and scored 12 more moose ballets. Now 88 years old and a trim 193 pounds, Stong believes his time has come. "For years I was laughed at. I only hope I will be again tonight." TANAKA ING (Director) The only non-Finn in the company, Ing has a long history in experimental theatre, including Churchill's History of the English Speaking People in mime, a salsa version of the Tibetan Book of the Dead and a puppet version of The U.S. Population Census of 1973. A great tennis lover, Ing went to Finland for a contemplation weekend and found himself hooked. "I love trees and always have, and in Finland there are something like a thousand trees for each person. I also like the bits in between them, which allow you to walk around the trees without hitting them. I hope I can do my bit to make the world sing along with the remarkable transformation from a predominantly conservative rural base to one of the most advanced industrial economies in the Western world." Ing's next project is to drain Lake Michigan for a day.

COME TO FINLAND If you've enjoyed this production, why not hop on a plane and see Finland for yourself? It is such a lovely place. (Mostly flat but with some raised bits.) Quite warm sometimes in the south, though on the whole colder in the north. There are some paper mills. The roads have relatively few bumps. All hotels have curtains. Things are very clean, but not pathologically so. It's a great place for trees. Alongside the trees you will find other trees, which blend into a forest running for a thousand miles. If you've never seen a forest running, then Finland is the place for you. And don't believe anyone who says you can't get tomatoes there. Of course you can.

WARNING: Strobe lights and theatrical fog are used in this production.

MESSAGE FROM THE DIRECTOR Once upon a time, there was an awkward teenage girl, who loved nothing more than hanging out with her equally awkward friends, watching Monty Python and the Holy Grail, reciting the dialogue, and even dramatizing the scenes for a debate team recruiting tour. The girl grew up, but her love for Python and awkward friends never waned. Then one day, about a year ago, she was selected to direct the Rome Little Theatre production of Monty Python's Spamalot. She and a group of wickedly talented, fun-loving, and, yes, perfectly awkward friends worked tirelessly for four months to put together the production you are seeing today. And that awkward girl, peering through the eyes of a middle-aged woman, was happy. I'm humbly grateful to so many for their contributions to this production. To Guy Chambless and James Willis, thank you for sticking with me. To David Clonts, Jim and Tracy Hellriegel, and Chris Parker, thank you for encouraging me; I wouldn't have taken

the first step of this journey if you hadn't buoyed me. To Lacey Pinson, whose ebullience and talent is unmatched, and who has ruined me for any other choreographer. To Mandy Maloney, who tackled the daunting task of costuming this show with discipline and grace. To Nathan Maloney, who was a setbuilding machine. To Claire Howard, who amazes me. To my sister, Andi Beyer, who can make anything. To my Chiaha family, whose support humbles me. To Amanda Swendsen, my right hand. To Jeff Ward and Lee Castro, who are knights in shining armor. To Megan Keating, whose patience is saintly. To this talented and tireless cast and crew, what a joy and honor it has been to be your director. To my husband, Jason, and my girls, Anna and Tess, who are the loves of my life and my biggest cheerleaders. And, finally, to the audience, thank you for supporting Rome Little Theatre and our production of Monty Python's Spamalot. Enjoy!

WHO’S WHO Andrew Bearden* (Dennis's Mother, Sir Bedevere, Concorde) Andrew is a soon-to-be graduate of Kennesaw State with a BA in English, actor, writer, and other kinds of silliness. He's been working in theatre for 10 years in Cartersville and Acworth, and only recently here in Rome, where he has been delighted to meet and work with all of these fine people. Spamalot has been a thrill to work on, even though it's been a pain in the feet. Andrew Bressette* (French Guard, Ensemble, Robin Understudy) Andy is a chemistry professor at Berry College where he also serves as the Associate Provost. This is Andy's first production with Rome Little Theatre, although he was involved in many musical productions in high school and college, including playing Henry Higgins in My Fair Lady, the King of Siam in The King and I, King Arthur in Camelot, and the Police Sergeant in The Pirates of Penzance. He thanks his wife, Jennifer, for the love, support, and “time off from family duties” as well as his four children, Liz, Drew, Lili, and Jacob, for all their support during rehearsals. Lee Castro* (Ensemble, Sound Design) Lee has been a professional musician and artist since the age of 15. At the age of 19 he attended Belmont University in Nashville, TN. where he became a professional studio engineer. However, engineering couldn’t pay the bills so he spent the next 12 years touring the United States working with many of Nashville’s top recording artists. In 1999, Lee and his family settled down in Adairsville, Georgia, where he has thoroughly enjoyed using his experience running sound for his own kids shows, Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, Guys and Dolls, Hairspray, Annie, Beauty and the Beast, Jr, and Little Shop of Horrors. In Little Shop, he played the off-stage voice of the plant, "Audrey II." Now he is excited to be under the lights, singing and dancing in his first onstage work with RLT. Lee is the

office manager for his wife’s accounting firm, Denise Castro CPA, & Associates. Guy Chambless (Producer) This is Guy's debut performance as a producer. He has gained much knowledge along the way and a healthier respect for other producers at Rome Little Theatre. You may have seen him on stage over the past 6 years in The Foreigner (David Marshall Lee), 12 Angry Men (Foreman/ Juror #1), The Man Who Came To Dinner (Banjo), and A Few Good Men (Sam Weinberg). Guy would like to thank his understanding and patient daughters, Ella Claire and Emmie, for being flexible with their schedules and being at rehearsals with him, and Brandy James, for her love and support throughout this production. Sit back, enjoy the show, don't run away, and hopefully you'll find your grail! Chris Cole (Sir Not Appearing, Sir Bors, French Guard, Minstrel, Patsy Understudy) This is Chris' first appearance on stage this season, having last appeared in A Few Good Men during the 2013-2014 season. He will also be appearing this summer as the "cheerleader" in the comedy Bleacher Bums. Chris first appeared on the RLT stage in the 2007 production of Annie Get Your Gun. Chris has worked for the United States Postal Service for 25 years, and he and his wife of 31 years, Diane, have two daughters and three grandchildren. His wife has extreme patience during his rehearsal time, and she understands that no matter how long they are married, Chris will not act his age! Chris also performs as "Jake" Blues with the musical group "The Georgia Blues Brothers". They have been performing around the Southeast since 2008, and have headlined many festivals and shows, including two First Friday appearances in Rome. They have also performed as the opening act for The Swingin' Medallions, the Las Vegas act Bruce In The USA, and country music star Jimmy Wayne. Chris would like to thank his family for their support, Chris Davidson and the

WHO’S WHO entire production team for the opportunity to be involved in this show, and thanks to Lacey Pinson for her extreme patience and enthusiasm in teaching us "old guys" all the great dance numbers for this show! Get ready to laugh and have a great time! Enjoy the show! Chris Davidson (Director) More than 20 years ago, Chris directed and produced her very first production, The Velveteen Rabbit, at Rome Little Theatre and is thrilled to be at the helm of another rabbit-centric production. Through the early and mid-1990s, Chris was an RLT regular as an actor, director, producer, and crew member, and as the director of the Young Roman Players. Chris moved away from Rome in the late 1990s and went on to perform, teach, and direct with several theatre groups and organizations in North Carolina and Tennessee, including Signal Mountain Playhouse, Asheville Community Theatre, Buncombe County Youth Theatre, Southern Appalachian Repertory Theatre's ScriptFEST, and Nightshade Mystery Theatre. She and her family moved back to Rome in 2009 and she returned to RLT in last season's A Few Good Men. She is looking forward to serving as the producer for next season's Irving Berlin's White Christmas. Chris serves on the boards of the Chiaha Arts Guild, The Rome Little Theatre, and The Historic DeSoto Theatre Foundation. She enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, and when her schedule permits, she enjoys doing film work. John Du Prez* (Composer) A Trevelyan Scholar at Christ Church, Oxford, and Associate of the Royal College of Music, he entered the film industry in 1978 composing additional music for Monty Python’s Life of Brian. This began a long association with Eric Idle, leading to their current writing partnership. He has scored more than twenty feature films including A Fish Called Wanda, The Meaning of Life, A Private Function, Once Bitten, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and UHF. Their latest work is Not The Messiah, a comic oratorio

for Choir, Orchestra Soloists and Sheep. The Spamalot Original Cast Album won them both Grammy Awards. He is very proud to have devoted most of his life to music and making others laugh, often at the same time. Russell Evans (Historian, Not Dead Fred, Knight, Nun, French Guard, Prince Herbert) Spamalot is Russell’s 10th production at RLT, where he has had the privilege to play many diverse roles: Joseph (Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat), Harker (Dracula), Link Larkin (Hairspray), James Cagney (Shakespeare in Hollywood), Kendrick (A Few Good Men), Emmett (Legally Blonde the Musical), and most recently Brad in The Rocky Horror Show! Russell is a '07 graduate from Mercer University where he was a 4 year member of the Mercer Singers touring the Southeast US and Japan. He has been very active in community theater for 18 years since being “discovered” at age 11 for the First Baptist Church of Rome's production of Four Tickets to Christmas in '96; he is now, finally, actively pursuing a professional career in entertainment. Russell thanks his small, loyal party of fans, and especially his parents, Wayne and Denise for their unconditional love and support. Vini Febus* (Minstrel, Ensemble, Dance Captain) In the summer of 2014, Vini received his A.S. Degree in Theatre and Entertainment Technology at Northwest Florida State College. After finishing his last summer semester, he and his wife moved to Cartersville to pursue musical theatre. Brian Hales (King Arthur) Brian is single, likes long walks in the mountains and .... oh this isn't for the dating website? The biography. Right. Brian is nice. Because of his supreme good looks and winsome personality, he has cajoled his way into numerous productions, regardless of his talent. Just another pretty face. In the days he had a waist and one

WHO’S WHO chin, he played parts such as Jesus in Godspell, Valentine in Two Gentlemen of Verona, (The rock musical version) and Action in West Side Story. In later years, as his mind and body began to fail him, he began to drift toward parts that fit the abandonment of his waist and the addition of multiple chins. Parts included Tevye in Fiddler on the Roof, Warbucks in Annie and Jim and LM in Pump boys and Dinettes, (two different productions, mind you, because that would hurt otherwise). Norman in Boys Next Door, and his favorite role as Scrooge in Scrooge the Musical, Scrooge and Marley, A Christmas Carol and A Christmas Carol musical adaptation twice, one that aired on Daystar TV in 2010 and finally in 2012 for Rome Little Theatre. It is with deep concern that he auditioned for five different directors for five different venues. Concern because he believes it may have had nothing to do with acting prowess but type casting. He simply is a Scrooge. Brian sends thanks to his Brother Brucie, and Nicole Overby, who helps with his care allowing him to get back on stage. He encourages you to enjoy and support your local Theatre! Tracy Hellriegel (Minstrel, Laker Girl, Ensemble) Tracy is excited to be in another RLT show. She joined the troupe at Rome Little Theatre in 2010, performing in My Fair Lady. Former players’ groups include Smyrna Players, Marietta Players, Due West Players and Ovation Players. Tracy was last seen on stage in The Best Christmas Pageant Ever and was most recently the director for The Rocky Horror Show. Tracy says, every show, whether on stage or back stage, is a learning experience and a place to build life-long friendships. If you have ever considered auditioning for a show or working on a crew, Rome Little Theatre is a wonderful place to be.

*RLT Newcomer

Eric Idle* (Book, Lyrics and Music) Long unmemorable as an actor, Eric Idle has trotted out an interminable number of glib performances in funny wigs and a bad moustache in numerous films and television appearances. Who can forget…. er. Well we all can. But it is as a writer that he will be best forgotten, author of Hello Sailor, Pass the Butler, The Greedy Bastard Diary, The Road to Mars, The Rutland Dirty Weekend Book, Spamalot, Not The Messiah, Rutlemania and What About Dick? Is there no end to his tiresome activity? He sings, he tours, he writes annoying songs, will he never shut up? Grammys, Tonys, Writer’s Desks, Lifetime Achievements, numerous awards have been thrust at him, but he still refuses to go away. It’s not right. Lauren Jones (Ensemble, Laker Girl, Dance Captain) Lauren is thrilled for this opportunity to flex her rusty jazz hands and express her eternal love for all things Monty Python. She's no stranger to the DeSoto Stage; her first RLT role was in 2009's Gypsy as burlesque dancer Electra, for which she won a Roman Award, and her most recent role was as Elizabeth Lavenza in Frankenstein. For her day job, Lauren serves as the Outreach Advocate for the Hospitality House for Women, Inc., where she serves local survivors of Intimate Partner Violence. Lauren would like to thank her family for their support as well as her loving partner, Michael Hillman, who never once batted an eye when she would randomly burst into song and dance in their home these past few months. In her spare time, Lauren is an avid collector of lupins, works in a cheese shop and can often be spotted putting others to shame at the Ministry of Silly Walks. Justin Karch* (Ensemble) This is Justin’s debut performance on the RLT stage. His previous other theatre work includes playing Captain Lochran in the R.O.M.E production of The Civil War (2012), and also being the ring master in his 1st grade production of a circus (a long time ago). Usually he can be seen on other

WHO’S WHO stages playing percussion with the Rome Symphony Orchestra, the Northwest Georgia Winds, and the Chamber Players of the South. In 1996 Justin was in the orchestra pit for Bye Bye Birdie as an emergency fill-in for the drummer. He also has instructed high school marching drum lines in the area. Justin lives in Rome and works at Berry College, where he earned two degrees, and is the organist for Holy Trinity Lutheran Church. He would like to thank the directors, cast, crew and everyone else involved with Spamalot for making this such a wonderful and memorable experience to be part of.

ment with a musical in over 30 years. Eric portrayed Alexander Hamilton in the 2013 premier performance of The Founding Fathers, produced by The Friends of the Constitution in Rome. He has been an enthusiastic member of The Three Rivers Singers (Rome's community chorus) for more than 10 years. Eric would like to thank Lacey and Vini for their patient assistance during dance rehearsals. Most of all, he would like to thank his wife, Jackie, for encouraging him to return to the stage, and for her love and understanding throughout many hours of absence these past several months.

Jamie Landers (Laker Girl, Ensemble) Jamie is excited to be a late addition to Spamalot! This is Jamie’s 10th performance at Rome Little Theatre. She was last seen on stage in The Rocky Horror Show. Jamie holds a Bachelor’s Degree from Reinhardt University and an MBA from the Florida Institute of Technology. She serves as the Marketing Director for Complete Cash Discount Title Pawn. She would like to thank her director, Chris, for giving her the opportunity to become part of such an amazing cast. She would also like to thank the other Laker Girls for welcoming her with open (seaweed) arms and for working overtime to teach her the dance moves. She looks forward to many more endeavors with Rome Little Theatre in the future both on stage and behind the scenes!

Lacey Pinson (Choreographer) Lacey is the dance and drama teacher at Model High School. She also teaches ballet and modern at Joanne Collier Studio of Dance. Lacey danced all through her childhood and decided to pursue a degree in the art form she loves. In 2010, Lacey received her BFA in dance from the University of Georgia as well as an education certificate to teach K-12 Dance. Lacey then went on to pursue a professional career with Staibdance, a modern dance company based in Atlanta, Georgia. This is Lacey's first involvement with a show at Rome Little Theater. She has thoroughly enjoyed the time she has spent with the cast and crew of Spamalot would like to thank Chris Davidson and Guy Chambless for giving her the opportunity to be part of this production.

Mandy Maloney (The Lady of the Lake) Mandy is so thankful to be onstage with this amazing cast. She wishes to thank Chris for encouraging her to grow and for teaching her so much. Guy and Amanda, it's always a pleasure to work with you! And last but most important, her hubby Nathan for taking care of their two burgeoning performers Millie and Henry. Eric McDowell* (Ensemble) Eric is a mathematics professor at Berry College. This is his first production with Rome Little Theatre, and his first involve-

Danny Price (Sir Dennis Galahad, The Black Knight, Prince Herbert's Father) A lifelong fan of Monty Python, this is Danny’s 10th show at RLT. A six-time Roman Award winner: for Best Director – in 2012 for The Sound of Music, sharing the award with the incomparable and much-missed Holly Moore, and in 2010 for My Fair Lady, with both also winning Best Show. He was also privileged to work as Assistant Director to Wendell Barnes in Steel Magnolias in 2009. Onstage, his role as Pharaoh in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat earned Male Showstopper in 2011. He

WHO’S WHO appeared in Grease in 2014, earning a Showstopper nomination for “Teen Angel.” He also appeared as long-suffering agent Herbie in Gypsy in 2009, 2008’s summer Broadway Spectacular 2, and the over bearing Reverend Shaw Moore in Footloose. His first RLT role was as Marine turned lawyer Fred Gailey in the 2007 Christmas musical Here’s Love, based on Miracle on 34th Street. As always, thanks to my wife Tammi, and all of my family, for their love and support, and my high school drama/choral teacher Carolen Hansard for her life-long lessons in hard work and expecting the best from yourself. It has been a pleasure to work with this tremendous cast and crew - Enjoy the show! Monty Python* Is he God or Godot, an agent of the devil or an agent of the William Morris Agency, or is he, as some have argued, a fictitious character invented in 1969 by Graham Chapman, John Cleese, Terry Gilliam, Eric Idle, Terry Jones and Michael Palin in a desperate attempt to find a title for their rather silly TV show? Whatever the truth, he is the eponymous impresario who fronts The Flying Circus, The Holy Grail, The Life of Brian, The Meaning of Life, And Now for Something Completely Different and who appeared Live at Drury Lane, City Center and the Hollywood Bowl. He has fronted numerous books including The Big Red Book and The Papperbok as well as many CDs, DVDs and matching ties and handkerchiefs. He is currently in retirement in an old jokes home near Dover, anxiously awaiting Nighthood and a Knight nurse. This is his first Rome Little Theatre show. Lillian Shaw (Ensemble, Laker Girl, Lady of the Lake Understudy) Lillian is thrilled to once again share the RLT stage with such a spectacularly talented cast and crew. This will be Lillian's 7th show at RLT since her return to her hometown of Rome in 2012. Past shows include Hairspray (Tracy Turnblad, for which she won the 2013 Best Actress Roman Award),

*RLT Newcomer

The Rocky Horror Show (Usherette), Legally Blonde the Musical (Vivienne Kensington), and Grease (Jan). Lillian believes art is vital to the cultural and educational life of the community. Therefore, she'd like to thank every person who donates their time and talents to make Rome Little Theatre the kind of place that creates art and welcomes all. Earlier this month, Lillian attended the Southeastern Theater Conference in the hopes of securing a professional performing job. You could say Lillian has found her grail -- musical theater! Thank you to all the friends and family, especially Terrell and Sheila Shaw, who make this journey possible. Amanda Swendsen (Stage Manager/Assistant Director) Amanda is thrilled to be stage managing and assistant directing Spamalot. Amanda and her husband, James (Patsy), moved to Rome recently and could not wait to get involved with Rome Little Theatre! Amanda currently works in Financial Aid Operations at Berry College, and spends her free time hanging out with James, spending time with her awesome family, and of course, working on theatre productions! Amanda was last seen at RLT as the Stage Manager for The Rocky Horror Show and A Few Good Men. She looks forward to directing Irving Berlin’s White Christmas at RLT in December 2015! This show has been such a wonderful experience for her and she has had so much fun! She would like to say a big thank you to Chris and Guy for allowing her to be a part of such a wonderful production, and to her husband, James, for sharing her love of the theatre and always encouraging her! James Swendsen (Mayor, Patsy, Guard 2) James is excited to be a part of the talented cast of Spamalot. A native of Michigan, James moved to Rome with his fiancé, Amanda (now Mrs. Swendsen), almost 4 years ago. He holds a Bachelors Degree in Theatre Arts from Eastern Michigan Uni-

WHO’S WHO versity, and a Master’s in Acting for Film and Television from Vancouver Film School. You may have seen James in such shows as: The Rocky Horror Show as Riff Raff, A Few Good Men as Daniel Kafee (Roman Award for Best Lead Actor), Hairspray as Corney Collins and A Christmas Carol as Young Scrooge (The Younger version of Brian Hales) or on TV in Your Worst Nightmare, Bloodlands, Let’s Stay Together, a 5 Hour Energy commercial and, of course, his commercial for eHow wearing tortilla chip underwear. Some of his favorite roles have been Bob Wallace in White Christmas, Stanley Kowalski in Streetcar Named Desire, and Smudge in Forever Plaid. He would like to say thanks to Chris Davidson, Guy Chambless, the cast and crew of Spamalot but most importantly to his beautiful Stage Manager/wife, Amanda. Bill Wear (Sir Robin, Guard 1, Brother Maynard) Bill Wear is making his second "on stage" appearance at RLT following his debut in The Rocky Horror Show last fall. Bill is a regular in the RLT Pit Orchestra as a trumpet player and is quite pleased with the transition to acting, singing and dancing. He would like to thank his wife, Jenny Wear (his favorite Laker Girl) for believing in him and pushing a little to make the switch. Even more thanks goes out to "Nana", for taking care of Jack during rehearsals. Thanks also to the "big boys" who were left to fend for themselves at home, Gabe and Ryan. To Chris Davidson, Amanda Swendsen, Guy Chambless and the cast and crew of Spamalot, Bill gives thanks for your kindness, patience, talent, and sense of humor. Now, Bugger Off! Jenny Wear (Ensemble, Laker Girl) Jenny Wear is a veteran of the RLT stage, but took time off in the 90’s and early 2000’s to march with the CorpsVets Drum and Bugle Corps. She returned to RLT in 2008 and has appeared in CATS, Shakespeare in Hollywood, and Legally Blonde

the Musical. Jenny was most recently seen briefly as a House Phantom in The Rocky Horror Show. Having grown up in a theatre family, it is easy for Jenny to appreciate the off-kilter humor of Monty Python. She hopes that you, too, will get a chuckle or even an outright guffaw from the antics of this amazing cast. She and her husband Bill (Sir Robin) are deeply appreciative of Jenny’s mother, Scottie Bates, who tirelessly kept 6-year-old Jack so Mommy and Daddy could “Run Away”! This performance is dedicated to the memory of Jenny’s beautiful Ballerina Princess, Molly Stubblefield. Molly would have been an amazing Laker Girl! Emily Williams* (Ensemble, Laker Girl) This is Emily's second production with Rome Little Theatre. Although, she has been in many musicals with Woodland High School's performing arts group, C.A.T.S. She is very excited to continue her love of theatre in the beautiful city of Rome. She is so happy to be a part of a wonderful cast. Emily would like to thank her parents, Shianne and Darren, for pushing her to audition for that first play back in the third grade. It really sparked a light in her. Jackson Williamson Sir Lancelot, The French Taunter, Knight of Ni, Tim the Enchanter) A lifelong Python fan, Jackson, is thrilled to be performing in Monty Python's Spamalot. It has been an honor and a privilege for Jackson to get to know this extremely talented cast and to share the stage with some old friends, as well as being able to spout some of his favorite Python lines without people wondering when the weird guy is ever going to shut up about elderberries. Most recently, Jackson appeared on the RLT stage as Dr. Scott in The Rocky Horror Show and as the Cowardly Lion in The Wizard of Oz. Jackson is very grateful to his wife for her patience and support during the rehearsal process, because he couldn't do this without her.
