THE LITTLE MERMAID, JR BIOGRAPHIES Anslee Abrams (Sea Creature/Merfolk/Lagoon Animal) This is Anslee's 7th show at RLT. She is 5 years old and is in kindergarten at Berry Elementary. Along with the theater, Anslee also loves cheerleading with The Legacy All Star Glitter team and playing guitar.

Anslee wants to say thank you to her momma and daddy for letting her do another show and coming to watch her a bunch.

Anslee also wants to tell her baby sisters, "I love you!" Ariel is Anslee's favorite princess and she is thrilled to be apart of her story. She is very excited to add this show to her growing list and looks forward to many more in the future!

Ryan Acree (Sebastian) Ryan is extremely proud to be part of the cast of The Little Mermaid, Jr. He is a 6th grader at St Mary's School and this is his first RLT production. Ryan has been singing since he could hold a microphone and loves performing. He first appeared in theatre at the age of six, performing with Hiawassee Childrens Theatre/Singing Stars

prior to moving to Rome. He has been cast in various roles since then including the Caterpillar in Alice and Wonderland and the lead role of Peter Pan. He is also active in his school and church drama programs. His other interests include playing the piano and computer gaming.

Ryan thanks his Mom and Dad for their love and support. He also wants to thank Mandy Maloney and the casting committee for allowing him this invaluable experience "under the sea." He hopes everyone enjoys the show!

Alexis Arthur (Sea Chorus) Alexis is a third grade home school student in Rome, Georgia. This is her second production with Rome Little Theatre.

A Guide to

Theatre Etiquette Arrive early It's a good idea to arrive at least 30 minutes early so you can have plenty of time to find a parking spot, pick up your tickets, use the rest room and get something at the concession’s counter.

Use the restroom BEFORE the show and DURING intermission Turn your cell phone off Even if you have it on vibrate, people can still hear the buzzing and it's very distracting. Don't talk or text on the phone DURING the performance. If you need to take a call, please wait until a scene change before you leave.

Coming and Going Please don't get up and leave during the performance unless it's an emergency. If you do need to leave or come back in, please wait until there is a scene change.

Fidgeting Please sit still. Bumping your elbows into your neighbors or kicking the seat in front of you is annoying. If you have kids, please keep them in control. « Sight lines Try to avoid large hairdos and hats. Also avoid snuggling up to your date because it might block someone's view behind you.

Photos Videotaping and taking photos during the performance is a distraction to the performers, other patrons and is often illegal.

Please don’t take photos during the show.

Other Etiquette Guidelines

« Please do not make noise with candy wrappers or popcorn bags. « Outside food and beverages are not permitted in the DeSoto Theatre. « Go easy with the perfume and cologne, many people are allergic. « The Overture (intro music at the start of a musical theatre show) is a part of the performance, so please be quiet when it begins. « Don't put or throw anything on the stage. « Pay attention to the announcements that are being made prior to each show about the rules and regulations and the location of the fire exits. « Do not whistle or scream out to the performers, except for a Bravo or Brava in the finale.

Now for some Dos: « Do laugh in appropriate places. « Do applaud with enthusiasm in the appropriate places. « Do tell all your friends, after the show, what a great time you had. « Do applaud when the performance is over; doing so shows the cast and the crew how much you appreciated their hard work and effort. « Stand and applaud if you really thought the show was great.

« Please refrain from talking, humming, or singing along with the show, except when encouraged to do so by the performers. « Please wait for an appropriate time to dig something out of your pocket or bag.

THE LITTLE MERMAID, JR BIOGRAPHIES Hayley Arthur (Sea Chorus) Hayley is a fifth grade home school student in Rome, Georgia. This is Hayley's fourth performance with Rome Little Theatre. She was also in A Christmas Carol, The Wizard of Oz and The Best Christmas Pageant Ever. Hayley has really begun to enjoy and appreciate the whole process of watching a play come together. She is very athletic, loves to be outside and also enjoys a good book. Hayley is glad to share the stage with her sister, Alexis. She would also like to thank her parents for driving her to every practice and getting her there on time. Hayley feels so blessed to be in this wonderful play!

Julia Cecile Beauchamp (Sea Creature/Merfolk/Lagoon Animal) Julia is a first grade student at St. Mary’s Catholic School in Rome, Georgia. This is Julia’s second musical production. Her debut into musical theatre started with her role of munchkin in Rome Little Theatre’s production of The Wizard of Oz. She has also appeared on stage previously with Rome Civic Ballet in Footsteps in Faith and Spring Recital. Julia would like to thank her family for assisting her during this production. She would like to dedicate her performance to Sophie Piller.

Chase Brackett (Prince Eric) Chase is appearing for the third time this season at the Desoto. You may remember his earlier performances as Eugene in Grease, and as Peter Schmidt in Frankenstein. In the past year, he also premiered the role of James Madison in The Friends of the Constitution’s production of Founding Fathers. While this is his twentieth RLT production, Chase has appeared in numerable productions for other companies as well. One of his most memorable performances was the title role of Amahl in the opera Amahl and the Night Visitors with the Rome Symphony Orchestra and the Seven Hills Opera Company. He has also been active backstage. He recently stage managed Darlington’s production of The Sound of Music. Chase is a member of the Spivey Tour Choir directed by Dr. Martha Shaw,

and has performed at the Royal College of Music and St. Martin’s-in-the-Field in London. Chase was the violinist for the recent Reinhardt College production of Carousel. He studies violin with Sinisa Ciric, the RSO concertmaster. He currently studies dance at the Dance Centre. He also referees soccer matches for Coosa and the local YMCA. Isaac Brackett (Chef/Sailor) Isaac has appeared twelve times onstage at the Desoto including roles in Scrooge: The Musical, Alice in Wonderland, Gypsy, Peter Pan, Oliver Twist, The Man Who Came to Dinner, as a tap dancing Jitterbug in Wizard of Oz, and most recently as young William Frankenstein in Frankenstein. He has also performed in a number of R.O.M.E. shows. He is a member of the Spivey Young Artists Program at Clayton State University. You rarely see Isaac without one of the many hats from his hat collection! He studies dance at the Dance Centre and plays soccer.

Maggie Grace Brinson (Sea Creature/Merfolk/Lagoon Animal) Maggie Grace is a 2nd grade student at East Central Elementary School. She has appeared in Rome Little Theatre productions of Broadway Spectacular 3, Peter Pan, Charlotte's Web, Broadway Spectacular 4, The Wizard of Oz, The Three Little Pigs and The Trial of The Big Bad Wolf, and The Best Christmas Pageant Ever. Maggie Grace is a dance student of The Dance Centre where she is a member of Synergy Dance Company and studies tap, jazz, ballet and musical theater. In her spare time, she likes to travel, ride her bike, jump on her trampoline and spend time with her friends. She had one of the lead roles as Mayzie in their production of Seussical the Musical and was Joy the step sister in Cinderella. She is currently in Rome High's Women's Ensemble.

Jon Caruvana, Jr (Chef/Sailor) Junior is a home-schooled student in the fifth grade in Rome, Georgia. This is Junior’s fourth performance with Rome Little Theatre, and he has had so much fun being involved in a musical this time. Junior loves using his imagination while exploring outdoors, building contraptions, and reading a good book. He hopes this adventure “under the sea” is a great success!

Reed Castrejon (Seahorse) Reed is a third grade student at Garden Lakes Elementary. This will be Reed’s 4th stage production at Rome Little Theatre.

He was also in A Christmas Carol, The Wizard of Oz and The Best Christmas Pageant Ever. In his spare time, Reed enjoys bike riding, staging his own plays, singing, dancing, and reading. Reed would like to give a shout out to his brother Jacobb, and sister Allie for their support.

Natalee Castro (Ursula) Natalee is 12 years old and in the 7th grade at Adairsville Middle School. When you hear her sing however, it will be hard to believe that seasoned voice is coming from someone so young! Natalee is regularly featured at Northpointe Church on the worship team, and as a "Kid Stuf" singer.

Natalee successfully auditioned for roles in the Adairsville High School musicals and was a "Corney Collins Kid" in 2013 run of Hairspray and a "Ronnett" in the 2014 run of Little Shop of Horrors. Natalee plays piano and ukulele and is a huge Dr. Who fan!

poms for a fishtail and become Atina, one of Ariel’s mersisters! Abigail is so excited to reunite with Chase, Bailey, Abbey and Ian for yet another RLT performance.

She’s also very happy to have made new friends, Dalton and Aja, and hopes for future projects with all!

Peyton Christen (Jetsam) Peyton is an eighth grade student at Armuchee Middle School in Rome, Georgia.

This is Peyton's first musical production.

However, Peyton has been dramatic her entire life. Peyton is currently active in her school's chorus program, soccer team and is also part of the gifted program.

She has aspirations of becoming a lawyer when she grows up. She would like to thank everyone that supports her in all of her endeavors.

Joy Christie (Carlotta) Joy is a tenth grade student at Model High School. This is Joy’s third RLT production. Joy’s first appearance was as an Ozian woman in the 2013 RLT musical, The Wizard of Oz. Her second appearance was as the Newscaster in the 2013 RLT production of The 3 Little Pigs and The Trial of the Big Bad Wolf. Joy enjoys playing the piano and guitar in her spare time. She also sings in the Celebration Choir and the Youth Praise Team at Sherwood Forest Baptist Church. Joy would like to thank the casting committee, cast, and crew for another great experience.

Camile Lakin Conway (Sea Creature/Merfolk/Lagoon Animal) Camile is in the second grade at East Central Elementary School here in Rome.

Camile has had some dance and gymnastic experience but this is the first time that she has participated in a play. Camile is very excited about being involved in this production and hopes to continue to grow in this area. Camile would like to thank her Grandma and Papa for all their support and her parents for encouraging her to always do her best!

Rolando is taking piano lessons at the boys and girls club, He is in Honor chorus ,he has also was chosen to go to Orlando Florida to sing in front of three famous singers at a show called La Voz Kids. And he thanks the theatre for the opportunity to be on stage.

Tyler Dobson (King Triton) Tyler is thrilled to be performing with the Rome Little Theatre for his first time. In the past year he has performed at Pepperell High School in their productions of Opening Doors and the musical Charity. Tyler is a member of the Select Ensemble at Pepperell High, as well as a percussionist in the symphonic band and bass player for the Jazz band. He also plays bass in the Student Fusion band at Pleasant Valley South Baptist Church. Tyler gives his thanks to RLT for giving him this opportunity to do something he normally wouldn't do and meet new people. He also thanks the entire cast for being such a joy to act with and be around, and his loving family for their support as he pursues his passion for the arts.

She loves being on the stage, and spending time with her theatre friends backstage. She hopes that you enjoy this show, and know that it was one of the most fun of her young acting career. Gary Jones, III (Flounder) Gary is a 6th grade student at St. Mary’s Catholic School. Gary writes his own songs and music and has performed his songs, singing and playing guitar, at Eddie's Attic Songwriter's Open Mic Night in Decatur, GA. He has performed, singing and playing guitar, in: Helen, GA, Norcross, GA, Cave Spring Arts Festival; Cups and Mugs, AYF Grill, and Harvest Moon, Rome GA. Gary has been on WUTC, 88.1 FM Radio Station in Chattanooga for an interview and to sing and play guitar. He won the Sara Hightower Library Idol Competition. Gary is an honor roll student and Duke Scholar. He plays soccer for North Georgia United and plays basketball for St. Mary’s. He has had roles in numerous theatrical productions, including Arrest These Merry Gentlemen and The Monsters are Due on Maple Street at St. Mary’s. At Rome Little Theatre, Gary has had roles in Oliver Twist, A Christmas Carol in which he sang and played the mandolin, The Wizard of Oz and The Three Little Pigs and the Trial of the Big Bad Wolf. Natalia has played at her school and in recitals at Musikworks. She also takes ballet and tap at Rome Civic Ballet. She has been in five performances.

She also plays basketball and soccer. Natalia is an avid reader and loves reading books from the Magic Tree House Series.

Autumn LeRoy (Mersister/Princess) Autumn is a ninth grade student at Pepperell High School in Silver Creek, Georgia. This is Autumn’s first musical production; however, Autumn does take a jazz dance class and plans on taking ballet at Danceworks of Rome. Autumn would like to thank her grandparents for providing a way to get her to rehearsals and helping her with her busy schedule.

Millie Maloney (Sea Creature/Merfolk/Lagoon Animal) Millie is so excited to be on the RLT stage for the third time! Millie is the 5 year old daughter of Nathan and Mandy Maloney and big sister to Henry. Millie loves to sing, dance and play with her friends.

She is a Kindergartner who loves going to school at home. Millie is a student at The Joanne Collier studio of Dance where she studies ballet, tap and jazz. Avery McChargue (Sea Creature/Merfolk/Lagoon Animal) Avery is in kindergarten at Pepperell Primary School. This is Avery's first production with Rome Little Theater. She is excited to be a part of this wonderful cast and production. Avery would like to thank her mom and dad for bringing her to rehearsals, also her sister, Rylie, for being so awesome and supportive.

Zac Mitchell (Chef Louis) This is Zac's tenth Rome Little Theatre production. His more notable roles have included an impressionable young Ebenezer in A Christmas Carol, the slick pick-pocketer Charlie Bates in Oliver Twist, and the tender brute Ralph Herdman in The Best Christmas Pageant Ever. Zac is thrilled to

combine two of his passions, singing and acting, in The Little Mermaid, Jr. When he's not uttering French and butchering crustaceans, Zac is a seventh grade honor student at Coosa Middle School. He plays trumpet in the band, sang in the 2014 All-State Chorus, and has contributed as a member of the CMS tennis, quiz bowl, and math teams. Despite playing Chef Louis, eccentric lover of "le poisson," Zac can't stand the taste of fish.

Gloria’s first performance at Rome Little Theatre was playing a teacher munchkin in The Wizard of Oz, a Stick Peddler and Jill of Jack & Jill in The Three Little Pigs and the Trial of the Big Bad Wolf. The Little Mermaid, Jr. will be her third production at Rome Little Theatre appearing as part of the Sea Chorus. When not at school or performing, Gloria loves reading, taking pictures, singing, and playing with her two cats, Billy and Callie. Luke Naddy (Gull/Chef/Sailor) Even at the ripe young age of nine years old, Luke (aka The Lips), is single-handedly bringing the Renaissance back with style. Leonardo DaVinci once said, “There will come a day when a young man will rise out of Rome and carry the torch of inspiration; lighting the paths once thought to be darkened forever.” Little did he know that it would be Rome…Georgia. Prepare to experience Naddeus Illuminatus. When Luke is not enjoying long walks along babbling brooks, shepherding flocks of fluffy sheep, rescuing princesses from high dragonguarded towers, or saving kittens from the razor talons of birds of prey, he is a wellbalanced specimen of brawn and brains, playing basketball, football and soccer while maintaining a 4.0 GPA at Johnson Elementary. He is thoroughly enjoying his first on stage production at RLT and earnestly hopes to bring smiles to all in attendance. Luke is the middle child of Tim and Jennifer Naddy and would like to thank his brothers, Jake and Diz, for their support.

Jonah Norris (Seahorse/Dragonfly) Jonah is a kindergarten student at PALS, Trinity UMC. This is his very first stage production. He is involved in taekwondo lessons, and enjoys t-ball and singing at church. He

would like to thank his mom and dad for bringing him to play practice. He especially thanks his two big sisters for introducing him to The Little Mermaid.

Davis Owens (Sea Creature/Lagoon Animal) Davis is a a second grade student at Providence Preparatory Academy in Rome, GA. The Little Mermaid, Jr. is his second RLT production. In his first RLT production, he was thrilled to flip across the stage as a monkey in The Wizard of Oz (March/April 2013). Davis attends Seven Hills Fellowship (PCA) in Rome, plays YMCA recreational soccer, and takes piano lessons. Becoming a LEGO master builder is a daily goal, and he likes drawing detailed pictures usually involving a battle of some kind (on land or under the sea!). Davis thanks his family for their love, support, and encouragement in all his various endeavours. Break a leg!

John Owens (Scuttle) John is a fifth grade student at Providence Preparatory Academy in Rome, GA. He is thrilled to be involved with The Little Mermaid, Jr., his third RLT production. He has played the roles of Ollie Herdman (The Best Christmas Pageant Ever, December 2013) and monkey (The Wizard of Oz, March/April 2013) in his previous on-stage experiences with RLT. John attends Seven Hills Fellowship (PCA) in Rome, plays recreational baseball through RFPRA with Unity Christian School, and takes piano lessons. During his spare time, he likes to play golf with his dad and various Wii games with his friends and three siblings. He would like to thank his family for their support and encouragement. Kade Pajor (Chef/Sailor) Kade is an honor student at Pepperell Elementary School. He is currently in the 4th grade and likes social studies and Science. This is Kade’s 3rd production with Rome Little Theatre, the others being The Wizard of Oz and The Best Christmas Pageant Ever. Kade loves any role,

He would like to thank the production team for giving him another opportunity to be on stage again. Kade would like to dedicate this performance to his Best Girls---Chloe, Carlie and Tori Olivia Parker (Sea Chorus) The Little Mermaid, Jr is Olivia’s fifth show in Rome Little Theatre, previously she was in The Best Christmas Pageant Ever. She is a seventh grade student at Coosa Middle school, where she plays clarinet and participates in ‘Odyssey of the Mind.’ She lives here in Rome with her parents, Chris and Ivey. She would like to thank her family and friends for being so supportive. Olivia is absolutely ecstatic and thrilled to be in a show such as this, and wishes that everybody enjoys the show!

Orrin Scarborough (Sea Creature/Merfolk/Lagoon Animal) Orrin is a kindergarten student at Unity Christian School. This is his first time in theatre. Orrin played baseball and takes piano.

He will begin gymnastics this summer. Orrin would like to thank his family for all of their support with a special thanks to his Dad! Aja Stanton (Mersister/Princess) Aja is a junior at Adairsville High. She has been in Hairspray and Little Shop of Horrors at her high school. The Little Mermaid, Jr is her first Rome Little Theatre performance. She is thankful for her family for allowing her to pursue theatre. Aja is also thankful for the Urda family for allowing her to stay at their house to be closer to rehearsals. She is beyond thankful for her new family at Rome Little Theatre for accepting her into their lives.

Liz Suffill (Sea Creature/Merfolk/Lagoon Animal) This is Liz's fifth Rome Little Theatre production. She was most recently seen as

Gladys Herdman in The Best Christmas Pageant Ever. Previous appearances include Charlotte's Web (Nellie Spider), The Wizard of Oz (munchkin/snowflake), and The Three Little Pigs and The Trial of the Big Bad Wolf (Baby Bear). She is 7 years old, a first grade student, and takes Kindermusik at Berry College. Liz always enjoys the people and her time with RLT and would like to thank the casting committee for this exciting opportunity. She would like to thank her family, friends, teachers, and the RLT family for their support and encouragement - especially Grandy, Gramps, Abbey and Naomi Williams, Angela Jones and family, and director-extraordinaire Mandy Maloney.

Dalton Urda (Grimsby) Dalton is a junior at Adairsville High. He is heavily involved with his school’s drama department and has just been reelected as Thespian president for the third consecutive year. Outside of theatre, Dalton is an active member of Beta Club, Bartow County Chamber of Commerce, a state level Governors Honors nominee for theatre, region champion for Extemporaneous Speaking, and on course to be an honor graduate. This is Dalton’s seventh production and second production at RLT. He recently was on the light crew for Grease and now is honored to not only be acting in but light designing The Little Mermaid, Jr. Dalton has many people he would like to thank for getting him this far.

First, he would like to thank Kim Knight, though she pushes him past his breaking point, he knows that without her he would not be able to be doing what he loves.

Next, he would like to thank his parents and sister for their constant support, time, and money invested in his future; his grandparents, aunts, uncles, and godparents for donating to the theatre and traveling hundreds of miles to watch him perform. Lastly he would like to thank the marvelous team at RLT- Mandy, Chris, Chuck, Tina, Megan, Suzanne, David, and Carol- for teaching him the inner workings of RLT and allowing him to become so involved with the production. Dalton hopes to spend many more years and to be involved in many more shows with his beloved and new found RLT family.

Ian Van Riper (Pilot) Ian Van Riper is 15 years old and is in the 9th grade at Rome High School. Ian has been in several other RLT performances including Peter Pan, Annie, and It’s a Wonderful Life. Ian enjoys playing soccer, listening to music, and running. Ian is grateful to his family for pushing him to continue participating at RLT.

Abbey Williams (Mersister/Princess) Abbey is a freshman at Providence Preparatory Academy here in Rome. Ever since her first show in 2009 as a Townsperson in Inherit the Wind, RLT has become her second home. Today Abbey is very happy to say this is her 14th production here at RLT. You may have seen her recently in The Best Christmas Pageant Ever as Maxine. When not at the theater, Abbey takes piano from Mrs. Kathryn Nobles and dance at the Dance Centre (Hip-hop/ Contemporary and Adv. Musical Theater). She would like to thank the entire cast and crew for all their hard work in such a short amount of time. She would especially like to thank her fellow Mersisters for making this experience worthwhile.

Eliza Witsell (Mersister/Princess) This is Eliza's twelfth production at Rome Little Theatre, where she enjoyed working with her fellow cast members to put this extraordinary show together. She has been taking several genres of dance for eight years, starting at the age of five. She is a High Honor Roll student at Rome Middle School, and plays trumpet in the seventh grade band. Eliza ran cross country for the first time last semester. In her free time, she enjoys reading and hanging out with friends. She hopes you all sit back, relax, and enjoy this wonderful performance.
