A Chamber of Commerce has existed in Rome and Floyd County since 1876. We are a nonprofit organization in Rome, Floyd County, Georgia, partnering with businesses and professionals to promote the economic well-being and quality of life of our city and county.

Ribbon cuttings celebrate a new business or a new location that has opened within the last 6 months. The Ribbon Cutting itself takes only a few minutes, but visitors will linger, especially if you provide food and drink. The Chamber provides the ribbon, ceremonial scissors, and a photographer. Introductions are made and you may want to say a word of welcome and briefly explain your business.
The Chamber will:
• Invite the Chamber Board of Directors, Chamber Ambassadors, the press, & membership.
• Post your Ribbon Cutting on the Chamber calendar & social media.
• Post the photo of the Ribbon Cutting.

• Prepare your remarks.
• Invite family, friends, & business associates.
• Post on your social media & website.
You may choose to:
• Have a drawing to collect business cards so you will know who attended.
• Provide food, drink, & entertainment.
