Let's look at the advantages that SCORM offers now that you are familiar with what it is and how it functions. You might not have anticipated quite a few:
• Modularity. Training materials for SCORM courses are composed of independent components or modules. Every module may be used in any other LMS course while providing scorm-based e-learning compliance.
• Compatibility. Almost any LMS will recognize a SCORM course.
• A definite course outline. You can create a course with a distinct structure and establish guidelines for navigating it. For instance, students might need to see a video first, then study for a lecture, and then afterward, they can take the final exam.
What are the various versions of SCORM?
Three versions of SCORM are available and used during SCORM-based e-learning compliance:
• SCORM basis is now available in 1.1, 1.2, and 2004. Every version has unique technical benefits and features. We'll get right to those widely used as SCORM 1.1, the original version, is not generally used:
• The student's progress, or how much of the instructional material the learner has studied, is shown by SCORM 1.2 in the report. "The learner has studied 70% of the course," for instance. The system will show the "Completed" status if the learner completes the course.
• More specific information is available in SCORM 2004. It displays the learner's point total after finishing the course and passing the
