Don’t have one, but Umbrella Academy has got my full attention !

Gossip girl is a series released in 2007 and has six seasons. Any self-respecting teenager of the 2000s has watched this series at least once in his or her life, if not more.

Personally, I discovered Gossip Girl when I was about 14 years old. We could say that this series helped me through a rather complicated period of my life. Indeed, at 14, we are in junior high school, having great experiences, and meeting wonderful people. But, it is also the time of puberty, doubt, we are searching for our identity. Gossip Girl allowed me to escape, to take refuge in the character’s lives, to console myself.

Gossip Girl is New York life, the life of luxury on the Upper East Side. The characters become members of our family and we, behind our screens, feel like we are part of this very closed club.

If we only refer to the series’ summary, it’s simply a group of friends, privileged students who are addicted to the one called «Gossip Girl» and who reveals the gossip and rumors of their community. But in reality, it’s much more than that. The series covers many different and thought-provoking topics. In particular, the use of social networks and its dangers, especially when you are young. Indeed, Gossip Girl allows the characters to know everything about everyone in real time (where they are, what they are doing ...). 13 years after the release of the series, this issue is still relevant among teenagers who are more interested in their virtual lives than in real life. The series also addresses the issue of friendship, love more or less toxic in the world of New York high society. As well as the integration of a young boy arriving from Brooklyn into this golden youth. Integrating when we are considered «different» can be complicated and create a feeling of unease. « I never thought we could hurt each other by loving each other too much, but maybe we can. » - Blair

In fact, I have the reflex of watching this series whenever I need strength in my life. I watched this series about three times. When I was 14, I watched the series for stories of love, friendship and betrayal. When I was 17, I watched it to see if things turned out alright at the end. And today, at 20, I watch it for fun but I’m still learning things.

Being part of the «elite» isn’t all that great. Yes it has its advantages, but I don’t think that wealth always brings happiness. In the series, they are rich. And yet they are not happier. Sure, their lives are easier, but they don’t even realize it because they were born with it. Surrounding yourself with good people and real friends is essential because it influences the person you are and will become. Recognize your true friends from toxic relationships. One will be positive and the other will not. One will help you, the other will hurt you.

XOXO

And if it wasn’t the blood ties that forged a family, but rather the people who know our secrets and love us in spite of everything, allowing us to finally be ourselves.

One show, a plethora of plots, a multitude of characters, nouns and different stories for one thing: The Iron Throne. I must say, this is impossible for me to resume Game of Thrones. The entire story is complex and honestly it must be seen to get the entire essence of this masterpiece. So, what should I say to convince you to turn on the TV and to immerse yourself in the unfair world of Westeros? First, Game of Thrones is a complete series. A ton of themes are covered: political intrigue, family affairs, wars, fantasy… So many items have been combined to create one of the most exciting shows of the new era. Game of Thrones and “breathtaking” are synonyms: you can’t anticipate any of the events because the characters are like us: unpredictable. And this impossibility to anticipate any actions of the characters makes them credible. No one in the show is perfect, all the actions are linked to their stories, to their family, and we can identify with them. But at the same time, we hate them, because their world is full of violence, injustice, darkness, and ambiguous morality. We don’t want to love them, but the story is so gripping that appreciating and caring for them is compulsory.

worked in a fashion magazine. They are 3 best friends and the series will follow their daily life, their difficulties at work… So far, nothing exceptional. But beyond that, The Bold Type is a tv show that encourages women to emancipate, empower themselves and stick together. The series freely tackles subjects sometimes considered «taboo»: homosexuality, breast cancer screening, wage inequality, politics, immigration or religion. Each character gives us a life lesson through his or her role and the situations he or she will go through. Finally, Game of Thrones is a real awards machine. The last episode of the season 7 was seen by 16,5 millions of people in the USA, a world record for a TV show. According to HBO, the episodes of the last seasons were followed by 30 millions of people. The budget of the 8th season, the last one, is also incredible: 15 millions dollars per episode. To sum it up, Game of Thrones is also to be awarded with the

most Emmys: 47. So, is Game of Thrones worth it? Yes, a thousand times, yes. The show is so enthralling, you’ll want to binge watch every episode til the end. Only, I must warn you, the 8thseason can be disappointing. But, this end is a good way to finish the scenario (the ending is open for discussion). As far as I’m concerned, Game of Thrones is a mustbe-seen show, a 21th century masterpiece, with an incredible cast and an incredible story whose purpose is this terrible Iron Throne.

When you play the game of thrones, you win or you die. There is no middle ground.

Well, The Bold Type is the story of 3 women who

- Cersei Lannister Certainly it’s a super girly series but it completely changed my life at one point. It was partly in The Bold Type that I learned about the profession of communicator. It was thanks to the role of Kat, who is responsible for the magazine’s digital communication, that I said to myself «OK, that’s what I want to do». The Bold Type came at just the right time in my life, when I was hesitating between different fields of study.

Looking back, that’s exactly why it was the right decision. Because it was the one that scared the shit out of me.

Idiscovered Grey’s Anatomy when I was around twelve. I think there were already 8 or 9 seasons. I watched it very quickly. The characters became like a part of my family. Viewing this show from my 12 to now makes me grow and evolve at the same time as the characters. Grey’s Anatomy offers so much more than just an hospital series.

It was a moment in my life where I wasn’t in a very good mood. I discovered this TV show and it rocked my life. I found myself face to characters sharing my scars. Seeing them evolve helped me to evolve too and get out of this complicated phase.

childhood, from birth to age 12. It reminds of several Sunday afternoons punctuated by the raindrops on the windows. But beyond that, One Tree Hill is a TV show that literally changed my life and my way of seeing, anticipating and accepting things. It shows that we are all capable of changing and evolving. Everyone can identify with a character, his mistakes, his victories, and his heartache. The series is full of lessons on all aspects of life: love, success, cowardice, loneliness, death, nostalgia, passing time, regrets. One Tree Hill shows us how happiness is never acquired, that the most beautiful things can become the most difficult to overcome. Life is short, we don’t know what tomorrow will bring, so we must seize every opportunity to laugh, to live, and to see how beautiful the world is. It shows us that we can

show. The diversity of the characters allows us to become attached to and identify with them. We can follow their success, their defeats, their feelings… This evolution brings us many life lessons that we’ll all experience one day.

Grey’s Anatomy teaches us to be ourselves and be proud of that. It shows us that our idea of happiness is subjective. Our happiness is hidden all around us in everyday life. We just have to take a fresh look at life to realise it. We’ll all gonna have bad phases to go through but none is insurmountable. For all these reasons, I think Grey’s Anatomy is worth the journey.

What’s broken can be mended, what’s hurt can be healed. No matter how dark it gets, the sun’s gonna rise again.

- Meredith Grey sometimes give up on our dreams without suffering and being unhappy. On the contrary, some realized dreams do not bring us all the happiness we hoped for.

These are the specific reasons why everyone should watch One Tree Hill at least once in their lives.

I feel like people get lost when they think happiness as a destination. We always think that someday we’ll be happy. When we get that car or that job or that person in our lives who will fix everything. But happiness is a mood, and it’s a condition, not a destination. It’s like being tired or hungry, it’s not permanent. It comes and goes and that’s okay. If people would think that way, they’d find happiness more often.
