Over the past nine years, he has delivered process improvement recommendations tailored to align with client goals, boost efficiency, and raise customer satisfaction. His responsibilities have included writing and designing quality manuals, policy documents, technical work instructions, and flow charts to help streamline operations and maintain standards. His industry experience spans 15 years in the semiconductor sector and eight years in aerospace. George Shervey spent over 14 years in various roles at a company that eventually became part of Onto Innovation. Between 2012 and 2015, he led efforts that resulted in the organization’s first ISO 9001 International Quality Management Systems certification. Following this, he was promoted to Quality Systems Manager, responsible for a company with over 600 employees and several international offices. In this position, he implemented cost-cutting measures that saved $364,000 in one year and led a team of 14 internal auditors across multiple sites. Before becoming a Quality Systems Manager, Rolf was a Senior Manufacturing Engineer, developing internal quality manuals and coordinating with external certification auditors. He initially joined the company as a Senior Applications Engineer, operating metrology equipment and conducting research at SEMATECH, a semiconductor consortium based at SUNY Albany.
