Delivery
Standard UK delivery is charged at £3.95. For our priority service, orders need to be placed before 2pm and are charged at £5.95.
Deliveries may take a little longer than usual to arrive at this time. As you’d expect, our warehouse is operating in strict accordance with the latest government advice on safe working practice, which means there could be a short delay to processing and delivering your packages. Should circumstances change causing a further delay, we will contact you individually. If you need to return your order to us for any reason, you can do so free of charge.

For the safety of you and our employees, we have made some changes to our operating procedures and ask that you bear with us as we learn to manage these together Our shops come in many different shapes and sizes, so application of these rules will differ slightly by location. To help with this, on arrival you will be met by a team member who will explain how their shop will be managing these particular rules.
Everybody ’s idea of comfort on a trip is different. Talking things through with
Rohan advisors in a relaxed way, getting to understand the climate zone you’re heading to and the activities you are planning is the only way to make the most of the Rohan clothing range, and crucially, your upcoming trip. This is only possible because Rohan shops are full of gear nuts, photographers, travellers, hikers, trekkers – all escape artists of one kind or another.
Which Rohan waterproof jacket will fit me the best? How does the layering system affect the thickness and face fabric of my mid-layer? What does a 180 gram shirt actually feel like on, and how small will it pack away? Which colourways work best together? Is there any important kit I haven’ t considered for my future adventure?

Fighting the good fight

Making fun and funky face masks started when a GP friend of mine needed two masks urgently. Armed with a tasteful tweed offcut and a pattern off the internet, the job was done in an hour. This has spun into gifts for friends and colleagues and fuelled my passion for sewing and making. I’ve also been helping out at McNair Shirts, a Yorkshire manufacturing company who have switched production to protective gowns for local NHS trusts. I feel like I’m helping with the fight against the virus while doing more of what I love. The next challenge is keeping my sewing going when the world returns to normal.

Before the lockdown my time in the hills was spent mountain biking and climbing. Clearly I was going to have to take a break from both of my favourite activities. I was forced to start thinking about my road bike. It had been locked up at the back of the garage for years – bought in the sale with good intentions, I just hadn’t bonded with its rigid frame and skinny tyres. Mostly out of necessity, I started riding out from the house. As restrictions relaxed I was amazed to find that just over an hour’s riding from South Manchester took me into the Goyt Valley. Then the next week, Buxton was within reach and now my loop is 75 miles to Bakewell and back. I’m proud to have hit my target of 1000 miles
in 30 days. To make the most of my time under blue skies in the rolling hills of the Peaks, I’ve started taking my yoga mat with me. My aching bottom and ever tightening quads seem to be thanking me for it.
Shielding in the hill forts of Shropshire

Friends and family say my partner Rob and I have been self-isolating ever since we moved to Shropshire seven years ago. Our lives have definitely changed since the beginning of the crisis: we rarely use the car nowadays and like many in the UK, who are confined to barracks, we’ve become intimately familiar with our immediate area, and discovered a wealth of natural riches previously overlooked. The Shropshire Way is a long-distance path, which passes behind our cottage and can be accessed from our garden gate. It provides a conduit to a maze of footpaths in surrounding farmland. A favourite lockdown distraction has been to walk across the fields to the tiny hamlet of Hopesay and climb up to the summit of the impressive Burrow hill fort towering above the houses. From here it’s possible to take in the views across the south Shropshire Hills and beyond towards the Long Mynd. It’s the perfect tonic to prevent the onset of lockdown blues.
