TRANSFER ORIENTATION NEWSLETTER

Welcome from the Student Orientation Advisors 2026

As the New Student and Family Orientation team, it is our pleasure to welcome you to Roger Williams University! We are looking forward to helping you transition into life at Roger! roughout your time at Orientation, you will have the opportunity to meet some of your fellow classmates, engage with sta members, and become connected with various resources that will help you succeed throughout your time here. As you prepare to begin your journey with us; we want to provide you with advice from our Orientation Advisor (OA ) team:

- Make connections with campus-life by going to events and meetings; download the Roger Link App –

- Step out of your comfort zone, try a class, a meal in the commons or attend an academic event or lecture

- Introduce yourself to your faculty members, visit them during their o ce hours

- Visit the Tutoring Center, study in the library and utilize campus resources

Roger Williams University has continued to give new and exciting opportunities to each and every one of us; challenge us to light our way and push hard to achieve what we want. Each of us has had countless remarkable experiences at Roger and we are certain that this community will do the same for you. We can’t wait to meet you.

Students will have the following opportunities at Orientation

Meet your Orientation Advisors (OAs) and peers in your small group

Meet with your Academic Dean and learn about academic resources

Learn about campus life and what you will need to be success outside of class

Learn about involvement and leadership opportunities in clubs, organizations, athletic opportunities, and campus employment

Meet other transfer students who will share the same experience as you

Transfer Students: Once your transfer credit evaluation has been completed you will receive a link to sign up for a transfer advising meeting with our Senior Transfer/Pathways Academic Advisor. During this meeting you will review your transfer credit equivalency report, map out your remaining semesters here at RWU, and register for classes pending your deposit.
