Heath Wines `Lizard Flat` Shiraz 2003 South Australia. Screwcap closure. This exquisite fruit driven wine shows the benefit of a great season, made from fruit grown in South Australia. The bouquet displays blackberry fruit spice and ripe plum, the palate is rich and flavoursome with great depth and intensity.

Two Jokers Cabernet Merlot 2006 (Export label), South Australia. Cork closure. Medium red in colour. The lifted nose is fruit driven with blackberry and cherry fruit. There is a hint of sweet spice. The palate is soft and medium bodied with blackcurrant fruit and a hint of anise. The soft and velvety tannins complement the spicy oak to give an added layer to the wine. The wine finishes long and clean.

A small amount of French oak is used to increase complexity. The wine is bottled young to retain the intense upfront fruit characters.

Hamilton’s Ewell Vineyards Grenache-Shiraz 2004 (unlabelled), SA. Screwcap closure. Excellent fragrant aromas of spicy fruitcake, sweet leaf tobacco, candied red apple and mixed summer berries. A medium bodied wine with full fruit intensity, delivering a complex palate of peppers, sweet berry fruits, and offering layered tannins. Good length, with good sweet fruit flavours. An approachable wine which is excellent drinking. Enjoy with rich meaty Italian pasta, marinated beef or game pie.

Puddle Jumper `Sir Walter Raleigh` Red 2006 Australia. Screwcap closure. ORP $186 per dozen. Bright red with a light majenta hue. This wine has fresh plum, dark cherry and gentle spice, with some attractive cool-climate restraint. It has vigour and immediacy with soft lush fruit, calm acidity and finishes with fine tannins and a suggestion of oak. Will continue to improve with further cellaring.

Toro Nero Shiraz 2001 Hunter Valley, NSW. Cork closure.

CRP $336 per dozen. Outstanding wines start in the vineyard with gentle, tender care. Winemaking adds passion and excitement. Maturity enhances the experience with sophistication and complexity. After eight years in confinement this Hunter gem has become the perfect dinner party guest. It`s bold, outspoken and worldly with genuine intrigue and curiosity. Medium bodied, it has layers of character from violets and dark cherries to vanillin oak, earthy spices and smoky leather. It`s smooth and voluptuous with a firm tannin grip that`s lingering and provocative. There are great stories behind every wine, add your own conclusion to this classic Hunter mystery. Premium Lines (A) << 2004 Ceccanti Shiraz, Kiewa Valley, Vic. Cork closure. Our family owned vineyard, winery and cellar door strives to live up to their motto, `Forts et Hospitalis` which hails as `Strong and Hospitable`. Angelo hails from Lucca in Tuscany, arriving in Australia in 1969. The 100 acre parcel was purchased in 1977 with the intention of planting cool climate grapes where the soil type and altitude are comparable with the Chianti region in Tuscany. Classic varieties thrive in our alpine cool climate, where long cold winters and cool summer nights create the perfect environment for the maturation of grapes with ripe characters, soft tannins and an abundance of fruity characters. The Shiraz is an Italian style wine produced in Australia. This wine is a soft, well balanced and easy drinking wine with hints of black pepper and spices. Defined, persistent fine-grained tannins provide additional structure to the long creamy finish, which is kept in check by tight acidity. >> 2006 Tall Poppy `select` shiraz, Australia (export label). Cork closure. This `select` shiraz was blended and bottled specifically for the export market. It is a medium bodied, easy drinking style of wine with dense red crimson colour and a strong berry nose, with hints of cloves and forest floor. The palate begins with spicy mixed berry flavours which lead into more complex berry and vanilla characters. It then finishes with lingering spicy softness. BOTTLES << 2006 Effusion `Luscious Red`, Barossa Valley, SA. A soft red blend, full of delightful berry characters. Produced by the Domain Day winery, this is a great value red. Experience the supple pleasures as these beautiful flavours flow over your palate. >> 2003 West Edge Classic Dry Red, Western Australia. Cork closure. The wine is deep red in colour with a crimson hue. The nose displays savoury aromas with plums and blackberries that are supported by herbs and spices. The fruit driven aromas are complemented by hints of vanillin and dusty French oak. Cassis and blackberry dominate the palate. Although the palate is dry, with attractive fine grained tannins, the seamless fresh fruit flavours deliver a wine offering immediate enjoyment. A wine that is suitable for a wide range of cuisines at any time of the year. << 2006 Turtle Creek Cabernet Sauvignon. South Eastern Australia A medium bodied dry red wine with black cherry and ripe plum fruit enhanced by soft oak characters. Best served at room temperature with roast meats, vegetables, pasta and mature cheese. >> 2006 Broken Earth `the selection` shiraz, SE Australia. Screwcap closure. This shiraz displays rich blackberry and spice characters, with soft, mild tannins. A wine which is ready for drinking now, but may be cellared for 3-5 years. It makes a good accompaniment to cheese, red meat and spicy pasta dishes. << 2004 Saint Petrox Chambourcin-Cabernets, Hunter Valley-Mudgee, NSW. ORP $185 per dozen. This wine is a deep brick red with purple hues. The nose exhibits complex savoury leather and plum aromas, mixed with bright, juicy red fruit characters. This is a medium bodied wine displaying ripe plum and cassis flavours, with chalky tannins and a tight finish. This wine will cellar for the next couple of years but provides good drinking now.

Immensely dark with bright fresh fruit, dark plums, cassis, cedar oak and dried tobacco characters with firm lingering tannins. << 2002 Poole’s Rock `Firestick` Merlot-Cabernet (A) SE Australia.

Screwcap closure. The Poole’s Rock `Firestick` range is a premium varietal wine from one of Australia’s finest regions. A blend of merlot and cabernet sauvignon grapes sourced from selected vineyards in south eastern Australia, where the vines thrive in a mild climate and fertile soils, allowing an even, extended growing season that ensures the grapes are picked with full, intense fruit flavours. This wine was made by Patrick Auld, award-winning winemaker at Poole’s Rock wines. It is dark red in colour and displays attractive concentrated spice and blackcurrant aromas, married harmoniously with intense blackberry and soft plum flavours on the palate. A drink now proposition which is intended to complement casual wines and hearty flavours. Ideal with fettuccini and veal ragu. (A) << 2003 Mak Vineyards Cabernet Sauvignon-Shiraz-Merlot-Cabernet Franc (A), Coonawarra, SA. Screwcap closure. Orp $288 per dozen. Mak is a very successful export-only brand. Here we have an excellent Coonawarra red, and no wonder: it’s made by Kym Tolley at Penley Estate. Opening with a heady blast of perfumed blackcurrant, cherry and spice this wine illuminates the cool finesse of Coonawarra. Polished, cedary oak overtones further lift the already fragrant berry characters. The promise of the aroma is translated onto the palate with dense, ripe wild berry flavours travelling the length of the tongue.

2006 Tin Dog Merlot, South Eastern Australia. Cork closure. A really smooth, well rounded and fruity medium bodied red. There is an abundance of raspberry fruit flavours and some soft, seductive dark chocolate notes. A great every day drink!

2007 Falcon Ridge Red, South Eastern Australia. Screwcap closure. This special Shiraz based blend has been specifically made for the Japanese export market.

Generous in colour with a lifted bouquet of blackcurrants, the wine is soft and appealing. The flavour weight is solid with the tannin structure adding complexity to the overall mouth feel. << NEW 2004 Pan Terra `Classic Vineyards` Cabernet-Merlot, Margaret River, WA. Cork closure. CRP $300 per dozen. This classic blend of robust, earthy Cabernet Sauvignon with the voluptuous berry fruit flavours of Merlot evoke images of oak paneled rooms filled with dense aromatic cigar smoke, leather chesterfield lounges and the intense business conversation of a `Gentleman’s` club. The colour is vibrant dark plum, the bouquet is intense with herbaceous forest floor, mushrooms and tobacco. The palate has luscious, jammy blackcurrants with smoky bacon, game, liquorice and leather. Complex, bottle matured secondary flavours of mocha and cloves linger on the finish adding a nice savoury element. This Margaret River Shiraz based Rosé has aromas of raspberry and freshly crushed strawberries with a dry lingering finish. The Wilyabrup sub-region of Margaret River is renowned for great fruit with the main focus being ultra premium quality. A refreshing aperitif on its own or an ideal partner for our wonderful Aussie seafood and spicy dishes.

White Wines 2006 Millbrook `Classic Dry White` Chardonnay-Viognier (unlabelled). Western Australia. ORP $240 per dozen. This wine displays a rich array of ripe stone fruit, citrus and lifted floral characters on the nose. A predominately lightly oaked chardonnay blend, the addition of viognier provides an elegance and richness to the mid palate.

Drink now over the summer months with white meats and Asian cuisine. (B) << 2005 Lizard Flat Chardonnay (750mL), Central Ranges, NSW. Screwcap closure. This 2005 Chardonnay shows excellent mid straw colour with hints of green. The strong bright passionfruit aroma is complimented with traces of vanillin oak. The palate shows full peach and melon fruit flavours, good length and weight and a clean crisp finish. (A) >> 2007 Pan Terra `Classic Vineyards` Paringa Chardonnay, South Australia. Screwcap closure. CRP $240 per dozen. This individual vineyard Chardonnay is exploding with luscious peach and nectarine, stonefruit aromas and this intensity follows onto the palate with rich, complex layers of cashew nuts and honey dew melons. Big, sturdy and full of character with a lovely, dry finish. It has a delicate lemony colour and glistening bright lustre which disguise the intensity and impact of the rich, creamy flavour. The palate is mouth-filling and bold with gentle acid balance providing structure and complexity. Perfect with creamy chicken casseroles, vegetable frittata, gnocchi, and roast Pork.

Experience the sensation of premium Chardonnay from this unique Australian vineyard. (A) >> 2007 Kari Bay Chardonnay, South Australia. CRP $180 per dozen.

Deep golden yellow colour with the hue extending to the meniscus. The nose shows fresh, clean fruit with apple and apricot characteristics dominating, balanced by tropical pineapple and melon. A fresh, crisp, acidic tang balances the rich fruity flavours. The wine structure is firm, with a moderate length and finish. A fruity, ready to drink wine that will suit most meals and occasions. In particular, this wine will go well with chicken and seafood dishes, or with a barbecue on a summerâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s day << 2005 Southern Roo Chardonnay-Viognier, South Australia.

Screwcap closure. Medium straw colour with green tints. This wine shows lifted stonefruit and spice aromas of quince, peach and apricot. A medium weight richly textured wine exhibiting flora, citrus fruit, complex depth of flavour and alluring white tannin structure. The spicy apricot characters of Viognier are a perfect accompaniment to the peachy tropical fruit derived from the Chardonnay grape. A unique varietal blend offering a myriad of tastes and flavours.

Red Cleanskins (B) (note: I will apply a rough label so you know what’s what) IT’S BACK! 2004 Preston Vale Cabernet-Merlot, Donnybrook, Geographe, WA. Cork closure. Expertly crafted, single vineyard red from the renowned Donnybrook region in Geographe, WA. The plentiful sunshine experienced in these north facing slopes, plus reliable rainfall and low humidity during the crucial ripening season, are all conducive to premium grape production. This is a full flavoured wine with an appealing ruby colour and a dark garnet hue.

2006 Classic Red, Pemberton, WA. Bright red with a light magenta hue. This wine has fresh plum, dark cherry and gentle spice, with some attractive cool-climate restraint. It has vigour and immediacy with soft lush fruit, calm acidity and finishes with fine tannins and a suggestion of oak. Will continue to improve with further cellaring. (B) 2005 Hardy’s Cabernet-Shiraz, Australia. Bold fruit characters and smooth but robust tannins. (B) 2005 Hardy’s Shiraz-Cabernet, Soft fruit tannins compliment the rich berry flavours. Good palate structure and flavour persistence.

NEW The Growers 2004 Cabernet-Merlot Western Australia. A long slow ripening period free of any extreme temperatures or weather events made for an ideal season in viticulture. Ripening was slow and even resulting in very high quality fruit.

The colour is magenta red with a medium purple hue. Aromatic fruit of dark berries, forest fruits and plum with a hint of oak appears on the nose. This is an easy drinking style with a well rounded palate. Sweet fruit and dark berries, soft and fruity. Enjoy with hearty red meat dishes.

2004 Watershed `Select Vineyard` Merlot-Cabernet Margaret River, WA. CRP $240 per dozen. Our 2004 Merlot-Cabernet is showing aromas of dark fruit, blackberry jam, chocolate and vanilla notes. On the palate, the wine is typical of Merlot-dominant blends, showing rich, velvety texture and a soft finish. This wine was matured in one and two-year-old American oak hogsheads, and French oak barriques. This maturation has provided a soft, round texture and contributed chocolate and vanilla characters to the wine. LAST BOTTLES (B) 2004 Yarra Burn Shiraz, Victoria. Orp $192 per dozen. Even, silky palate with good ripe, subtle tannins. It has great length of flavour and shows classic cool climate Shiraz spice. Cellaring potential to at least 2010. LAST BOTTLES (B) 2006 Unlabelled Sangiovese-Shiraz, Hunter Valley, NSW. Screwcap closure. Estate grown in Pokolbin by Benwarin Wines. The yield was kept low by hand pruning, shoot and bunch thinning. Harvested in February/March the Shiraz and Sangiovese fruit was crushed, and then cold soaked for 24 hours before being fermented on the skins in open vat fermenters at 18 to 25C for 7 days. After 15 months the two components were blended together to produce a softer, more medium bodied style of red wine which is very approachable. (B)

2006 King River Estate Merlot, King Valley, Vic. Screwcap closure. ORP $240 per dozen. Cancelled export order. A medium depth of ruby red hue with tinges of violet indicate a wine of youthful appearance. The nose is spicy and savoury, with ripe plum and raspberry aromas with just a hint of dusty French oak. Wild fermentation is used for this wine which adds to the complexity and texture of the wine. On the palate, this 2006 Merlot has mid-weight body with fleshy plum-like fruit and refreshing acidity.

This pronounced fruit character is nicely balanced with fine dry fruit tannins providing good length and balance.

2006 King River Estate Shiraz Victoria. Screwcap closure. ORP $240 per dozen.

The King River Estate range of red wines is made using natural, wild yeast in open fermenters. The wine is hand plunged and basket pressed using low amounts of sulphur in processing. This wine is medium bodied with medium depth of ruby red color with some puple tinges. The nose is complex showing plum, blackberry and hints of white pepper. The palate has a balanced acid stucture with dark cherry, blackberry friuts and and has a soft tannin finish. The wine is savoury and would match with lamb, veal or game dishes.

2003 Baudin Rock Shiraz, Limestone Coast, SA. Cork closure. Deep mulberry with purple hues and aromas of spices, plums and hints of berry fruit. The palate has a rounded soft mouth feel and a lingering fruit finish.

2004 Shiraz, by Fontys Pool, Pemberton, WA. Dark plum red with purple hues. ORP $240/doz. Generous aromas of sweet dark plums and mulberries mingle with sweet spices. A full luscious palate with plenty of fruit laced with cloves and nutmeg. The subtle oak handling provides a sweet vanillin thread backed up by firm silky tannins and a clean acid finish. Aging potential 5-6 years. Will benefit from an aerative decanting prior to serving.

Fancy Pants Pinot Noir << 2006 Curran and Hughes Pinot Noir, Mt Crawford, SA. Screwcap closure. CRP $300 per dozen. From the cool hills of Mt Crawford at the southern end of the Barossa, this single vineyard Pinot Noir has complex and balanced dark cherry and ripe plum fruit characters. On the more generous end of the Pinot Noir spectrum, its palate is full of flavour with a mouth-filling richness and silky texture, making it a perfect match for duck, lamb, sausages and Atlantic salmon. >> 2008 Manuka Hill Pinot Noir, Marlborough, NZ. Screwcap closure.

From the Marlborough wine region of New Zealand this wine is made from 100% Pinot Noir grapes. With a colour of burgundy red and a nose of cherry and vanilla spice, this is a wine with unique flavour. Demonstrates a palate of savoury, toasty cassis characters leading to a black berry, cherry finish.
