Although the Milkmen are new to Milwaukee, Adam Walker is no stranger to the city. Walker was born and raised in Milwaukee, and is excited for the opportunity to play in his hometown once again.
Walker attended Milwaukee Lutheran High School, where he played baseball, basketball and football- and excelled in all three sports. He decided that his career in baseball was what he wanted to pursue further after high school- despite opportunities also presenting themselves for football. He attended Jacksonville University in Florida, where his baseball career took off. Walker made a name for himself in more ways than one at Jacksonville University, and did not go unnoticed.
Walker has been playing professional baseball since 2012. He was drafted by the Minnesota Twins in the third round that year. He has also played with the Braves, Orioles, Reds, as well as Nationals organizations. Walker also played with the Kansas City T-Bones last season.
His love and dedication for baseball shows through what he accomplishes with each team he is a part of. He has led multiple leagues in home runs, RBIs, and total bases. Walker has set and broke records in all aspects of the game, and the Milkmen organization is excited to see what he brings back to Milwaukee. “I think it’s a dream for everyone to play and represent their hometown, so this is an awesome opportunity. I can’t wait for June 24th!”
