CASSIE + PARKER JACKSON When Cassie relocated to Salt Lake City, Utah, for a job promotion, she downloaded a dating app in hopes of meeting new friends. While Cassie’s mother was rather apprehensive about online dating, Cassie insisted on letting her mom swipe a few times during her visit to Utah. That’s when Parker’s profile appeared on the screen. Cassie and Parker chatted virtually for the next several weeks before Cassie made the first move and suggested meeting over coffee with her new puppy, Ruby. Lattes turned into a full day of activities, and the rest is history! With a mutual love for Jackson Hole and its country atmosphere, it was only fitting that Parker popped the question in the “last real mountain town.” After months of planning, Parker proposed during a weekend trip to Amangani, a breathtaking setting outside of Grand Teton National Park. The excuse behind the trip was to celebrate Hunter’s birthday, Parker’s sister. Cassie and Parker arrived at Amangani’s sophisticated restaurant for a dining experience like no other, Cassie was still under the impression the luxe affair was meant for Hunter. After sitting down and ordering drinks, Parker asked Cassie to take a short walk to the lower terrace for some photos with the Tetons in the background. Once there, instead of retrieving his phone, Parker presented a white ring box and got down on one knee. A spectator nearby was in fact a photographer hired by Parker to capture the extraordinary moment.

RILEY KATE + CURTIS G R A N D T E T O N N AT I O N A L PA R K Riley Kate and Curtis met while attending the University of Alabama in the fall of 2016. With the help of Riley Kate’s older sister and Curtis’ fraternity brother, the pair were destined to cross paths and officially began dating two years later at a New Year’s party. To propose, Curtis planned to pop the question on a family trip to WaterColor, Florida, an idyllic community along 30A. One evening, before settling down for dinner, Riley Kate and Curtis decided to catch the gorgeous Gulf Coast sunset. What Riley Kate thought was a leisurely walk on the sugar-white sand beach turned into a dream proposal.

From a young age the bride-to-be and her family began visiting the sweeping mountain range towering above Jackson with jagged snow-capped peaks. Naturally, a destination wedding in Wyoming was an easy decision. The couple traveled from the Lone Star State for an engagement session in a meaningful location, Grand Teton National Park.

MCKENNA + BAEDEN G R A N D T E T O N N AT I O N A L PA R K

McKenna and Baeden first caught each other’s eye while attending Brigham Young University-Idaho. With the help of their roommates, the two officially met before the semester ended and summer break separated them. But, when classes began in the fall, McKenna and Baeden picked up right where they left off. Three months later, Baeden proposed at Island Park in Idaho with twinkling tea lights in the background. McKenna and Baeden ventured to Taggart Lake where the rising peaks of the Grand Teton Mountain Range dominate the sky.

C A R O L I N E + N AT H A N g r a n d t e t o n n at i o n a l pa r k Like many modern love stories, Caroline and Nathan met through a dating app in November of 2018. Three days later they met in person at a local restaurant where Nathan stood outside waiting for Caroline with a single red rose. “The connection was instant, it felt like I had known him my whole life,” Caroline shares. Two years later, on the couple’s anniversary, Nathan proposed at a pier across from the restaurant where they went on their first date.

Haley + Owen JACKSON

Haley and Owen met while playing sand volleyball at a park in Jackson where they both lived. Nearly four years later, Owen popped the question in the Wind River Range. With mountain lakes, alpine meadows, and unmatched outdoor adventure, Haley and Owen drove to the rugged and scenic range and set up camp eight miles in. After pitching their tent, the pair jumped into the lake for a swim. As evening approached, Owen wanted to get a photo with the mountains and sunset behind them. Owen set up his camera on a self timer and got down on one knee to propose. The two small bottles chilling in the lake were brought out and the newly engaged couple toasted to their life together. Haley and Owen planned a ski themed wedding in Wyoming’s Teton Village for April 3rd.

With sweeping Teton views and powder on the slopes, the bride and groom hosted a three-part wedding celebration. Between the ceremony and reception, Haley and Owen skied down the exciting landscape dressed in their formal attire. As they reached the base, guests waited to greet them with rose petals and flutes of champagne as a fun spin on cocktail hour.

Mira + Aaron WILSON

When living in the fourth largest city in California, it can be difficult to meet someone which is why many San Franciscoans find themselves turning to dating apps. So, it’s no surprise that Mira and Aaron met the new-fashioned way; on Hinge. Five years later, the couple ventured over to Crystal Mountain in Seattle, Washington, for a wintry adventure on the slopes. “Aaron is always pushing me to my limits, so in typical fashion he took me on a thirty minute backcountry trek. By the end of the hike I was hungry, sweaty and just nervous thinking about how I would ski down. During a mid Clif Bar snack and picture break, he popped the question,” reflects the bride. Mira and Aaron planned a modern mountain wedding for June 5th.

PERSONAL PROMISES

Before the ceremony, Mira and Aaron exchanged personal vows to each other during an intimate first look. The couple wed at The Bentwood Inn surrounded by towering cottonwood trees and views of the Teton Mountain Range as Mira’s father officiated the wedding.

WOODEN ACCENTS Guests mingled among acres of maintained green space where the reception continued outdoors under the beautiful Wyoming sky. Rustic farm tables were accented with bamboo folding chairs then topped with wood chargers, sleek shaped flatware and a sprig of Wyoming sage to complement the natural setting.

While Brooke and Ryder can’t personally thank Jason Aldean for their introduction, they connected at the country music singer’s concert with the help of mutual friends. Just over three years later, Ryder proposed while the couple was road tripping through Cody, Yellowstone, and Jackson. During a must-see detour at the Lower Falls on the Yellowstone River, Ryder got down on one knee and asked Brooke to marry him. Brooke and Ryder planned a relaxed, western wedding for June 18th.

Alexis + Elias JACKSON

At the time, Alexis was bartending at a local sports bar when Elias regularly stopped in for a bite to eat fifteen minutes before closing. “All of my friends who were servers never wanted to wait on him because he came in so late,” Alexis explains. “But as soon as I got to know him, I knew he was the one for me,” Alexis recalls of the time leading up to their courtship. Four years later, Elias proposed on an ordinary Tuesday evening at the couple’s home. Alexis and Elias planned a boho destination wedding for June 23rd.

GOING TO THE CHAPEL

After visiting Jackson Hole prior to their engagement it was love at first sight and it’s no surprise why. The couple exchanged vows at the Chapel of the Transfiguration, a small log chapel built in 1925 before the land became a National Park. In February of 2016, Alexandra and Ryan met in the operating room at Virginia Hospital Center, although it wasn’t until grabbing celebratory drinks for Cinco de Mayo that they saw each other without face masks. The two remained friends and continued to go out sporadically throughout the summer, but ultimately nothing came to fruition before going their separate ways. Then in 2019, Alexandra and Ryan crossed paths again in the operating room at a different hospital system. Fate, perhaps? Coming full circle, the couple began dating and two years later Ryan asked Alexandra to marry him on Thanksgiving! Alexandra and Ryan planned a simply elegant and romantic wedding for July 9th.

With wide open spaces, calming waters, and a jagged panorama of the Tetons as the backdrop, Alexandra and Ryan exchanged vows in front of their closest friends and family. “We were married at Schwabacher Landing by our premarital counseling pastor, which was so special to us. His sermon incorporated the Tetons as an acrostic poem, this is something we reflect on often in our marriage and our guests remember it, too! The setting of Schwabacher was in and of itself a highlight for us; many of our favorite moments together have been outside doing the things we love most, hiking, exploring new places and frequenting our local National Park. It was no question we would be married outdoors, surrounded only by nature and those who we cherished most,” Alexandra shares.

Makenzee Nate + SHERIDAN

Makenzee and Nate’s story started like many in Missoula, Montana at Red’s Bar in downtown Missoula. The romance continued at another local favorite for their first date, The Mo Club. Nate showed up in his usual attire of gray sweats, a multi-colored pullover and maroon shoes, quite the site for sore eyes. Makenzee giggled when she saw what Nate was wearing as she was dressed to impress. The date continued over Coors Light and the iconic Mo Burger. From one dive bar to another the two began to talk and see each other on a regular basis. Nearly a year later, Nate popped the question after a fun date night on the town. As Makenzee walked through the apartment doors she initially didn’t notice the display of flowers and ring box on the kitchen counter till Nate was down on one knee. Makenzee and Nate planned an autumnal, cowboy-esque wedding for July 24th.

As lovers of the outdoors, Makenzee and Nate decided to say “I do” in the midst of sun-soaked pastures. Before the ceremony began, the couple carved out time to privately share their vows beside a geometric wooden arch embellished in feathery pampas grass and antlers to echo the rustic bohemian charm where they would soon become husband and wife. The bride wore a delicate gown of soft tulle and ethereal lace detailing styled with none other than tried-andtrue western boots.

Liz +Jarret CENTENNIAL Liz and Jarret’s love story is the epitome of an early 2000s romantic chick flick. The two lived a block away from each other growing up but didn’t truly meet until years later when they were 16 years old. As time went on, so did their crush-like feelings for one another. In the last half of Liz and Jarret’s senior year, their group of friends began to blend. What started as a friendship turned into an actual romance when they made things official. After 11 years together, the couple went from being high school sweethearts to engaged when Jarret proposed in Estes Park, Colorado overlooking the mountains. Liz and Jarret planned a modern, bohemian wedding for July 29th.

THE PERFECT STORM “My favorite moment started as a terrifying moment. The year prior, we had a legal ceremony for our original wedding date with a small guest list. After the ceremony, the strongest hail storm I’ve ever witnessed interrupted our picnic dinner. I thought, luckily, no way this could happen again next year. Well, it did. An hour before the wedding began, the same strong hail swept in. I began meditating that I had to be okay with destroyed decor even though inside I was not. As the storm began to dwindle, I peeked around the corner to see our decor and light tent was completely fine thanks to our incredible vendors who saved them. And, the most amazing thing was the storm created the dreamiest rolling fog all around the lodge for the rest of the evening. It felt like we were in a film, it simply wasn’t real. Jarret and I love a moody forest atmosphere so much. It felt serendipitous to have such magical moody weather,” shares the bride.

Linny + Jay JACKSON Though Linny and Jay originally met in Minneapolis, Minnesota, Jay popped the question while vacationing in Jackson. The newly engaged couple celebrated in true Jackson style with dinner in Town Square followed by drinks and music at the Million Dollar Cowboy Bar. So, it was only natural that Linny and Jay headed back to The Hole to tie the knot. “Our love flourished and grew in the mountains, and that said we knew our wedding had to be in the mountains. We chose Jackson Hole because it is truly the most magical place for a wedding,” Linny says. Linny and Jay planned a boho, mountain wedding with dazzling disco details for July 31st.

Alyssa and Shane immediately matched on Tinder after seeing photos of each other hiking, backpacking, and exploring the great outdoors. Fast forward a year and a half later, Shane planned a long-distance backpacking trip through the incredible Colorado Rocky Mountains, known as the Colorado Trail. The first day was filled with adventure in the high country before they made their way to a spot above camp just in time to soak in the sunset. Surrounded by towering peaks and fresh summer air, Shane got down on one knee and asked Alyssa to marry him. Alyssa and Shane were married at Turpin Meadow Ranch in a natural, Western setting on August 14th.
