FROM THE TEAM

Weddings are increasingly shaped by intention: how they’re designed, where they take place and the experience they create for those gathered. More than ever, couples are making deliberate choices - prioritizing atmosphere, flow and setting as integral parts of the celebration. For this issue, we focused on weddings that feel considered and grounded, where vision is informed by environment and every element has a clear sense of purpose.

With that perspective in mind, we’re thrilled to share that this edition marks an exciting expansion of Rocky Mountain Bride’s reach, welcoming Nevada and Arizona into the mix. This broader Mountain West region, with its desert horizons, red rock formations and golden light, offers a striking counterpoint to alpine romance. From high-elevation lodges and mountain meadows to sculptural desert venues and sun-soaked vistas, these locations share a common thread: a sense of awe that elevates the wedding experience. Inside these pages, you’ll find stories of couples who embraced the land as part of their narrative, along with the planners, designers and artisans who bring these celebrations to life with creativity and care.

Our goal has always been to honor not just the beauty of a wedding day, but the spirit of the place where it unfolds. We are proud to present an issue that reflects both our roots and our evolution. We hope it inspires you to look beyond boundaries and create a celebration that feels meaningful and lasting.

Taylor & Nick

Taylor and Nick first met back in 2019 at a happy hour, sharing quick small talk before life pulled them in different directions. It wasn’t until a Minnesota Viking’s football game months later that everything shifted. Nick recognized her across the bar at Cowboy Jacks and walked over to ask if she remembered him. Once it clicked, conversation flowed effortlessly, and before long Taylor was challenging him to her favorite arcade game, Big Buck Hunter. A few years later, Nick planned an unforgettable proposal during a Florida beach sunset, complete with a surprise appearance from Taylor’s best friend to capture every moment. When it came time for bridals, choosing Colorado was an easy choice since it is one of their favorite places to escape. Their photographers found a ranch with sweeping mountain views and wandering horses, creating the perfect Western inspired dreamscape for their newlywed portraits.

SWEET AS HONEY

a classically styled wedding at Montage Deer Valley

Set against the sweeping peaks of Park City, Utah, this styled celebration at Montage Deer Valley was inspired by honey and lavender. As planner Kate Jones of Kate Elizabeth Events shared, “I wanted to highlight the colors and textures that make Utah so unique, the soft golds of late summer, the lavender fields in bloom and the natural warmth of the mountain light. The goal was a look that felt elevated, but still very connected to the place.” Delicate stationery by Something Lettered Designs set the tone with soft floral details and a ribbon of sage and cream.

For the ceremony, florals by Janie’s Flowers transformed the green slopes into a garden dreamscape with the majestic mountains serving as witness. A lush and colorful arch of butterfly ranunculus and tweedia framed the couple as they exchanged vows, blending buttery yellows, soft blues and pops of pink and purple into a palette that felt both fresh and inviting.

The bride looked radiant in a timeless Rita Vinieris gown from Frankie Jane Bridal Couture, paired with a dramatic Tony Federici veil that cascaded down the staircase in breathtaking fashion. Accessorized with elegant pieces from J. Brooks Jewelers, the bride stood alongside her groom, who kept things classic in a perfectly tailored tuxedo from Friar Tux. As the celebration continued, she transitioned through two additional looks, slipping into a chic silk halter dress for cocktail hour and later dazzling in a sparkling mini for a night of dancing.

Cocktails with a view carried the party into golden hour, where guests sipped on a refreshing twist of the classic Bees

crafted with Barr

infused with raw honey, fresh lemon juice, local lavender honey syrup, elderflower liqueur and a sparkling finish of prosecco. Garnished with an edible flower and a hint of lemon peel, it captured the honey and lavender theme with every sip.

The couple then joined guests for an al fresco dinner beneath woven pendant lights. A long, family-style table layered with textured linens, creamy florals and glowing candles created a sophisticated and inviting dinner experience.

Knees,
Hill Gin

The cake by Aspen Cake Design was a true showstopper. It featured alternating tiers of lemon poppyseed with cream cheese buttercream and vanilla almond with raspberry filling and was accented with delicate sugar butterfly ranunculus echoing the day’s palette in edible form. As night fell, the couple joined their guests and danced the night away before retreating to a private suite at the Montage Deer Valley as husband and wife.

a reimagined gothic romance

Blending old-world romantic aesthetics with a modern twist, DreamGroup Weddings + Events brought this lavish vision to life at The Vancouver Club. Inspired by gothic grandeur with a fresh, innovative spin, the vendor team highlighted trends like vibrant velvet drapery, interactive guest experiences and laser-cut details. The result? A modern renaissance celebration rooted in a rich palette of burgundy, plum, mauve, deep rose, moss, peat and smoky gray hues and effortlessly captured by the incredibly talented photography duo Jo + Glo.

For the ceremony, guests were seated in a circular seating arrangement to create an intimate, immersive atmosphere. Dramatic florals by Justyna Floral blended together texture and color. Burgundy peonies, white cloud garden roses, mocha roses and velvet-red scabiosa blooms were paired with blush viburnum, ming fern and sprengeri to create lush arrangements. Meanwhile, trailing green amaranthus and chocolate lace added depth, while pops of blackberries and tinted pink plumosa created an unexpected moment.

In today’s wedding world, fashion takes center stage, offering brides the ultimate opportunity to showcase their personality and style. With this in mind, Bisou Bridal styled the bride in two stunning gowns: the structured Lucky ballgown by KYHA Bride, crafted from bright ivory Duchess satin, and the romantic Adelina gown by Ouma Couture. For the late-night celebration, the bride slipped into a bold party ensemble by TEMPÊTE featuring a satin bubble skirt and strapless corset, accessorized with a chiffon scarf, baroque pearl necklace and minimalist mesh gloves. The groom, dressed by Surmesur, wore a custom black-tie tuxedo with a satinfinished shawl lapel and classic details, perfectly complementing the bride’s dramatic looks.

The avant-garde reception featured interactive guest experiences, most notably, the decadent dessert display inspired by the couple’s favorite sweets. Guests were treated to churros, berry pavlova with crisp meringue and passionfruit curd, classic ricottafilled cannolis, delicate macarons in London fog and milk chocolate Baileys flavors, creamy tiramisu coupes and a dark cherry chocolate cake. The delectible spread, created by Cakes by Peddie, invited guests to mingle and indulge in a playful yet elegant way. With stunning tablescape designs and draperies from Début Event Design Inc., glassware and place settings by SIE Collection and stationery and signage by Violet Grey Creative, the evening was a sweet finale to a day filled with true love and celebration.

Wild Hearts & Western Luxury

Perched high above the valley at Gold Mountain Ranch, this styled shoot set out to showcase the essence of elevated Western luxury. Kemp & Co. Collective drew inspiration from Ralph Lauren’s timeless Americana aesthetic, blending rugged mountain beauty with polished design elements. Warm earth tones, textured fabrics and equestrian-inspired details grounded the look in the spirit of the Rockies, while layered styling and sophisticated accents elevated every vignette. Captured beautifully by Ashley Joyce Photography, the sweeping mountain views and soft, golden light created the perfect canvas for a Western-chic wedding.

The ceremony embraced the raw beauty of the Colorado mountains, with floral installations by Hosanna Floral in sunbaked clay, soft ivory and warm taupe rising organically from the cliffside. The hues echoed the surrounding landscape, creating a seamless transition between nature and design. As the couple said “I do” overlooking the valley, their loyal pup, Camper, lovingly cared for by Puppy’s Plus One, trotted into the scene as the sweetest four-legged companion.

After the ceremony, guests were invited to experience a custom hat bar by Crossbow, a true highlight of the day and a nod to the region’s storied cowboy culture. From shaping steam to curated accessories, each hat became a work of art, crafted uniquely for the wearer. The bride paired her tailored creation with a sleek satin gown from Grace Loves Lace, while the groom’s classic suit and bolo tie embodied a polished, modern take on Western style.

As the sun dipped behind the mountains, the festivities continued downtown at The Western Hotel & Spa, where the couple changed into evening attire that captured the shoot’s timeless, fashion-forward edge. The bride stunned in a lace high-neck mini paired with her signature white hat. Guests sipped signature cocktails crafted by The Western’s bar team, mingling in warm, moody light as rich leather textures, brass accents and curated details created a setting that felt like an upscale saloon reimagined for the modern couple.

The reception space blended Western heritage with refined design, featuring denim-hued linens printed with galloping horses, velvet napkins in warm neutrals and layered place settings that added depth and sophistication. Florals in maroon, dusty pink and ivory brought softness to the tablescape, while a towering white cake by Kelly Gray Cakes, adorned with delicate sugar florals and sculptural detailing, served as an eye-catching centerpiece.

To close out the evening, Kemp & Co. Collective imagined a stylish mini-moon for the couple right inside The Western Hotel & Spa. With its cozy, boutique-hotel charm, rich woods and elevated Western decor, the property offered the perfect retreat after a day of celebration. Whether savoring a nightcap at the bar, strolling through historic downtown Ouray or unwinding in a room designed for comfort and style, the couple’s getaway felt intimate and indulgent, just the right balance of relaxation and romance to cap off an unforgettable wedding weekend.

Michelle & Taylor

PARADISE VALLEY, ARIZONA - EL CHORRO

While Michelle and Taylor didn’t meet on a dating app, their love story still began in a modern way. Michelle slid into Taylor’s DMs and the two wasted no time setting up a date for the very next day. Sparks flew instantly, and just four years later, Taylor was down on one knee in front of the stunning fountain at Parc de la Ciutadella in Barcelona, Spain. Michelle never saw it coming, laughing, “He left his backpack unattended (with me) at the airport and didn’t flinch when I opened the hotel safe.” Little did she know, Taylor’s sister had secretly flown across The Atlantic to deliver the ring straight to their hotel that morning, making her the couple’s very own “ring angel.”

VENDORS THAT WENT ABOVE AND BEYOND

Our wedding planner, Anna Tyler with Hudson Grey Weddings, brought our vision to life in the most breathtaking way. Walking into our reception was pure magic and beyond anything we could have imagined. As Taylor put it best, she was the greatest investment we made for our wedding day.

After an 18-month engagement, Michelle and Taylor planned an Italian-inspired celebration in Arizona, creating the ultimate destination wedding weekend for their guests. Michelle stunned in a sleek silk Katherine Tash gown before changing into a beaded Clio Peppiatt mini for the dance party, while Taylor looked sharp in a custom Canali suit. Guests enjoyed al fresco dining beneath the stars, surrounded by romantic greenery and glowing candlelight. True to the couple’s vision of a warm and intimate celebration, the day was filled with thoughtful touches from a festivalinspired seating chart with VIP passes for each guest to custom “VIP wristbands” handed out at the reception, giving everyone a playful all-access pass to the dance floor led by DJ Munition.

ADVICE TO FUTURE COUPLES

“Go with your gut! It’s so easy to second-guess yourself during the planning process, but trust that you’ll make the right choices. And if you realize your first wedding dress isn’t ‘the one,’ don’t stress. Go shopping and find a new one!”

Kay & Markus

Kay and Markus first met as teenagers during The Calgary Stampede nearly a decade ago, but timing had other plans. Over the years, they continued to cross paths in fleeting moments of summer flirtation, until fate decided 2022 was finally their time. After a year and a half of dating, Markus proposed in true storybook fashion at the Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel. What Kay thought was a brunch for his mom’s birthday turned into a private proposal in a glass dome overlooking the mountains. Following the sweetest “Yes,” the surprises continued with an appearance from their closest friends and a weekend full of celebration and champagne toasts, ending with an engagement party at Bridgette Bar in Calgary.

With the help of planner Jacqueline Rae, Kay and Markus planned a wedding that embodied upscale comfort. The couple exchanged vows on Markus’ family property, a breathtaking estate framed by sweeping mountain views and a sense of intimacy that could only come from home. Kay recalls, “There are no words to prepare you for the euphoric feeling of exchanging vows and being declared husband and wife.” Every detail of the day was thoughtfully designed to make their 120 guests feel welcomed, from the family-style dinner by Empire Provisions to the warm glow of candlelight and lush florals by Foxglove Studio. For a sweet nod to family, the dessert table featured all three of their grandmothers’ most famous recipes. Kay looked stunning in a custom-tailored Prabal Gurung gown, a one-of-a-kind backless creation that perfectly reflected her modern, sophisticated style. Later, she slipped into a chic Norma Kamali dress for dancing beneath the twinkle lights, as the newlyweds celebrated well into the early morning hours. When the final song faded, Kay and Markus curled up on a couch in the tent, blissfully exhausted after the best day of their lives.

ADVICE TO FUTURE COUPLES

“Trust that it will all work out in the end. As overdone as the advice may be, we had a relatively complex planning experience, and we still looked at each other on the day and said it was all worth it. It is so easy to get caught up in all of the details, and trust me we did, but you will only notice so many of them on the day of. Remember that the most important thing is that you are setting yourselves and your guests up to have the most enjoyable day possible, and have that be at the forefront of your decisions.”

VENDORS THAT WENT ABOVE AND BEYOND Rebecca Frank and her team. She was simultaneously dancing with us, while mopping the soaking wet dance floor and taking photos. Don’t ask us how she does it. If you are in the Calgary area, or on East Coast Canada or anywhere in the world, Rebecca Frank is your girl. She made the biggest difference to our day, and you truly do spend the most time with your photographer than anyone else on your wedding day, aside from your spouse.

Empire Provisions did our catering and absolutely knocked it out of the park. We had many, many guests ask who we used and even had someone tell us it was the best food they’d ever had at a wedding and they got married in Italy. We cannot stress enough how important a family-style meal and excellent food was to us, and every bite of food we had our eyes went wide because everything about the meal was so impressive. Not to mention they were able to set-up a catering kitchen in the backyard.

Foxglove Studio completely understood my vision from the start. The team was absolutely lovely to work with and were extremely kind and attentive to every detail. I made many changes up until the 11th hour and they were nothing but accommodating.

DJ Swav, with Pez Productions, also stayed HOURS beyond what he originally agreed to and kept people on the dance floor ALL night long. Friends said they could never find a good time to go to the bathroom because they wanted to be on the dancefloor for every single song.

All of our vendors truly went above and beyond and we could not have been surrounded by a better team on our day.

Anastasia & Tully

Anastasia and Tully met while attending Western University in London, Ontario. After dating for six years, Tully decided he was ready to pop the question. During a trip to Anastasia’s home country, Russia, Tully gave her his parents’ ring as a meaningful first proposal. A few months later, on her favorite holiday, Halloween, he planned a second surprise. While carving pumpkins, Anastasia uncovered a small box containing a traditional diamond ring. The two went on to plan an intimate garden party inspired wedding at the Fairmont Pacific Rim with just 38 guests. Anastasia stunned in a sleek, strapless gown from KYHA Bride while carrying a simple bouquet of elegant calla lilies. Crisp white linens, white roses and soft candlelight complemented the simple, yet modern aesthetic of the wedding.

Sophie & Brian

Sophie and Brian, introduced by mutual friends, tied the knot after five years of dating in her aunt and uncle’s backyard. The lush green space where she spent her childhood became the perfect backdrop for their Italian summer–inspired celebration. With 300 guests gathered under the golden sun and her uncle officiating, the couple exchanged vows with oversized yellow paper blooms swaying gently in the summer breeze behind them. Sophie stunned in a custom Natalie Wynn Design gown that perfectly captured her vision, while Brian looked dashing in a crisp cream colored suit. “I made it a point to include my precious daughter in every part of our wedding day,” Sophie shared. “From helping choose the ceremony music to sharing in the special moments that unfolded, she was at the heart of the celebration.”

With yellow being Sophie’s favorite color, she leaned into it completely. “Lemons were the biggest thing for me and anything yellow,” she added. “They weren’t just decorative, they were woven through the entire design: centerpieces, place settings, even the mocktails and signage. This trend is a fresh, affordable way to energize wedding decor, making it classy but sweet.” For the reception, guests enjoyed a whimsical lemon-adorned cake by Event Cakes by Han and danced late into the night thanks to DJ DEV, who brought the club to their wedding as he seamlessly mixed tracks and transformed the night into an unforgettable celebration.

Sunny & Michael

When you know, you just know, and for Sunny and Michael, that feeling was instant. The two met online and quickly planned a first date. “I remember having this thought that I wanted Michael in my life,” Sunny shared. After just a month of getting to know each other and falling in love, a weekend getaway solidified what they both already felt: they wanted forever. Three months later, Michael designed the perfect ring and whisked Sunny away to Hawaii for her birthday. During a romantic beach photoshoot, the surprise of a lifetime unfolded. “The salty air, a beautiful sunset and a bluff overlooking the ocean set the scene as Michael got down on one knee. As I turned around and saw him I knew this was the moment I had been dreaming about since I was a little girl. Jumping up and down I said ‘Yes,’” Sunny reminisced.

Abby & William

Abby and William met during their college days at Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, Texas. Before William graduated, the pair started dating and continued their relationship through long distance while Abby completed her senior year and William started his career in New York. Five years later, during a weekend in New Orleans, Louisiana, celebrating Abby’s medical school graduation, William pulled off the kind of proposal that feels straight out of a romance novel. After a family event, the two took their golden retriever on a walk through the park near their apartment, something they did often, which made what happened next all the more unexpected. “As we were walking into the park I saw a horse-drawn carriage and I remember telling Will, ‘Wow, there must be someone getting married today.’ He then turned to me, got down on one knee and proposed,” Abby shares. The carriage then picked them up and escorted them to Galatoire’s where Abby walked in to find her entire family waiting to celebrate.

VENDORS THAT WENT ABOVE AND BEYOND

The most important aspect for me was not allowing myself to get lost in the minutia and really getting to enjoy the wedding planning experience. This would not have been possible without the team at Mariée Ami. When I decided to get married during my second year of surgical residency, everyone told me I was crazy. People said that there was no way I could pull it off with the crazy hours I work. Let me tell you, those people did not work with Mariée Ami. From our first meeting, they just got it. They worked around my crazy schedule, made the impossible possible and never let me see the stressful parts of wedding planning. I had complete trust in every decision and adjustment that they made. They executed every design concept flawlessly and I am forever grateful for their partnership. I thought that by the end of wedding planning, I was going to be glad that it was over. The reality was, I was sad that it was over because I loved working with them so much. I felt like my wedding was the only wedding that they were planning because that was how invested they were in making this an enjoyable process for us.

After visiting Santa Fe, the couple immediately fell in love with the area and knew it was the perfect place to start their forever. With the help of Mariée Ami, Abby and William planned a wedding weekend for 170 of their closest friends and family that blended earthy elegance with lavender-hued Southwestern charm. Wanting guests to experience the culture of Santa Fe, they incorporated regional touches from local flavors in the food and drinks to unique activities like leather branding, horseback riding and fly fishing. For the ceremony, William wore a custom Canali suit while Abby looked breathtaking in a floral-inspired Oscar de la Renta gown and matching veil. “About 30 minutes before I walked down the aisle, my dad pulled me outside and showed me the double rainbow… it was the absolute perfect start to what ended up being a perfect ceremony,” she shares. That night, after changing into a beaded Clio Peppiatt mini with a short Gigi & Olive veil, Abby joined William on a packed dance floor as the Jordan Khan Orchestra kept the celebration going late into the evening, truly the most fun she had ever had in her entire life.

ADVICE TO FUTURE COUPLES

“Enjoy the process. It goes by so much quicker than you can imagine. Take time to appreciate each other’s company throughout the weekend, even if it is only a quick 30 minutes just the two of you. It is worth it amidst all the chaos.”

Maddie & Michael

Maddie and Michael first matched on Bumble nearly eight years ago. After spending six years building a life together in San Francisco, California, Michael decided it was time to ask Maddie to be his wife. For the proposal, Michael chose a spot right outside Café Meuse, the cozy Russian Hill wine bar where they’d shared countless date nights at. Of course, Maddie said “Yes!” and they celebrated in their signature way: dinner at Seven Hills and a return to Café Meuse for a round of celebratory drinks. With Tahoe being the destination of their first trip together and a place that’s played a meaningful role in their relationship, choosing Edgewood for their wedding day felt like the perfect place to start their forever.

With the help of production firm Jenn Robirds Events, Maddie and Michael planned a Tahoe-chic celebration that beautifully blended elevated design with the natural charm of the lakefront. Their ceremony unfolded beneath towering pines at Edgewood, framed by a modern architectural arch softened with lush, garden-style florals in warm peaches, soft pinks and creamy neutrals. After golden-hour portraits on the beach, the celebration continued inside a breathtaking clear-top tent where sunlight filtered through steel-frame beams and danced across floral-lined tablescapes. A custom “MM” monogram appeared throughout the day, from signage to bar details, adding a personal, polished touch that tied every moment together. They also incorporated heartfelt details, like handwritten notes for each table to let their guests know just how meaningful their presence was. And, as a fun full-circle moment, their last dance of the night was to the same song they walked back down the aisle to, the perfect ending to an unforgettable celebration.

Jake & Jon
DENVER, COLORADO - DENVER BOTANIC GARDENS + CATBIRD HOTEL

Jake and Jon didn’t bump into each other at a party or lock eyes across a room, they found each other in an inbox. Introduced through a book club chain, their emails quickly turned into texts, then phone calls and FaceTimes. Even though Jake was living in Madison, Wisconsin and Jon was in Denver, they made the distance work. In true “equal partners” fashion, they each proposed to the other. Jon surprised Jake first with a romantic proposal in Central Park in New York City, New York, with champagne and a surprise rooftop party featuring friends. A few months later, Jake proposed during a hike in Denver, making it official for both of them.

Jake and Jon planned a chic, sophisticated and urban-inspired wedding celebration for 135 guests. Selecting colors that complemented the natural palette of the gardens, Jake donned a three-piece tobacco-colored suit while Jon wore a double-breasted merlot colored suit. The ceremony florals by The Flower Lover Club stole the show with sculptural arrangements in rich, moody tones featuring calla lilies and hydrangeas. For the reception, the grooms slipped into black-tie-inspired ensembles: Jake in a custom tuxedo styled with an open silk shirt, cummerbund and Gucci loafers, and Jon in a cropped tuxedo-style jacket with wide-leg trousers. The sleek outfit change signaled a shift from refined ceremony elegance to elevated after-dark celebration.

VENDORS THAT WENT ABOVE AND BEYOND

Our vendors were incredible. We used Catering By Design, The Flower Lover Club, From the Daisies, Suit and Tie and Elope Music, to name a few. They were all incredible. and went above and beyond.

We really benefited from our wedding planner, Kelsey Bledsoe with Birch and Honey Collective. As a gay couple, we noticed many traditions rooted in specific gender roles. We had to brainstorm how to incorporate meaningful traditions while also reflecting who we are.

Brittany Polverari with The Flower Lover Club was our florist. She blew our minds with the final product. She understood our vision and went the extra mile to help us execute within our budget. On short notice, she added draping with beautiful calla lilies. She created stunning sculptural pieces for the ceremony and centerpieces at the reception. We loved the use of fresh fruit as decor on our tables!

Stephanie Fisher with From the Daisies was our photographer. She is a master of crafting sexy and timeless pictures. She showed up early to scout the locations and brought an assistant to help capture photos. They were so fun and professional, it was a stress-free experience with lots of laughter. The next day, she provided us with several photos and the entire album less than two weeks later. We are obsessed with our pictures and she was an absolute blast to work with.

Eddie Dominguez from Suit and Tie DJ Professionals was our DJ. Many of our guests commented on his amazing playlist.

Catering by Design was amazing. Caleigh and Amara were on top of every detail, great communicators and really earned our trust. They nailed it.

ADVICE TO FUTURE COUPLES

“We have three recommendations: One, lean into the creativity and don’t be afraid to break tradition. The most exciting part of wedding planning was dreaming together; Two, accept that you will not be able to invite everyone you want. Whether as a result of budgetary constraints or venue capacity limitations, there are going to be people you wish you could invite, but likely won’t be able to. We just had to trust in our loved ones to understand the absence of an invitation was not an intentional slight against them; Three, if you are contemplating a wedding planner and have the budget for one, hire them early in the process.”

Kate & Erich

Kate and Erich met after a day on the slopes in Tahoe, California, at the iconic après ski bar, Le Chamois, in Olympic Valley. Kate was in town for a ski weekend with friends, while Erich was deep into the full-time ski bum life. For the next three years, they played relationship phone tag, until 2020 brought their worlds back together. They eventually moved to Jackson Hole, where their lifetime of adventures truly began. After three years together, they planned a spontaneous trip to their favorite place, Italy. Before departing, Erich’s mom gave him a treasured family ring from the 1800s, and he knew it was the one with which he would ask Kate to be his wife. A few missed sunset opportunities later, thanks to jet lag, he finally pulled Kate aside on a quiet bridge in Venice, called Ponte de la Corona and dropped to one knee. “It wasn’t flashy or planned to perfection, but it was exactly us,” Kate says.

Kate and Erich planned a romantic, westerninspired wedding for 170 guests at Snow King Mountain, a place they often frequent with their dog, Blizzard. With a goal of creating a celebration that felt both easy and full of energy, a satellite bar was set up at the gondola base so guests could grab a drink before riding up to the ceremony, followed by a rooftop cocktail hour with incredible views and great food. Kate stunned in the Apollo gown by KHYA Bride featuring a scooped neckline with draped detail, structured, dipped waist corset and draped wrap skirt. Meanwhile, Erich kept things effortlessly polished in a tan linen suit. As golden hour washed over the Tetons, the dance floor came alive and guests let loose to beats dropped by DJ Steady Jake before heading to the iconic Million Dollar Cowboy Bar to continue the celebration well into the night.

Our photographer, Savannah Miller, of Dear Kodak, truly went above and beyond capturing our special day. From the moment we met Sav, her positive and calm energy and incredible sense of humor made us feel completely at ease and relaxed. Sav felt like a second planner, our biggest cheerleader and a friend. The photos she took reflected all of this and captured the essence of our wedding. Lauren & Vince

Highschool sweethearts, Lauren and Vince, always knew they wanted to say “I do!” in Montana. After dating for over a decade, it was finally their turn to plan their dream wedding. The Homestead offered the perfect backdrop for their effortless, western-chic celebration, which included 50 of their closest friends and family. Lauren stunned in an off-the-shoulder satin gown by Alexandra Grecco, featuring long sleeves, draped detailing and a soft, fluid train that moved gracefully as she walked down the aisle to greet Vince in his dark green suit and bolo tie. During the ceremony, the thick forest stood as their witness while laughter and tears flowed from their loved ones. As the sun set, Lauren slipped into a flowy white mini dress paired with white cowboy boots, and guests danced the night away beneath twinkling lights and the wide-open Montana sky.

Jordan & Wes

Jordan and Wes, having both grown up in the charming mountain town of Sun Valley, had known each other for more than 20 years through the tight-knit ski racing community. However, it wasn’t until they were adults that they reconnected when mutual friends brought them back together. As Jordan recalls, “We both ended up around a bonfire one evening where we were night skiing. As the night ended and everyone headed to their cars, we had parked right next to each other and the rest is history.” Three years later, Wes proposed late on Christmas Eve. At home with their chocolate lab, Sheriff, Wes suggested they open presents early. Jordan laughed at the idea unknowingly but agreed, admitting, “I told him we should just wait until Christmas Day, but he was persistent!” As Jordan turned from the tree with a gift in hand, she found Wes down on one knee in their living room, both of them in their pajamas. After a long pause overcome by the moment, Wes simply asked, “Will you marry me?” and Jordan happily said “Yes!”

Late night, the guys lost their suit jackets, bridemaids wound up in sweatshirts from the Cellar Pub and the bride changed into a white Aviator Nation sweat set - the absolute best way to have the best late night!

Candy bar! Candy necklaces, ring pops and pop rocks were a big hit.

VENDORS THAT WENT ABOVE AND BEYOND Morgan Buckert Custom Boots made the bride’s custom wedding boots. Her artistry is extraordinary and she is an expert at her craft. The opportunity to work with Morgan and wear boots by her was a gift.

Taylor’d Events made the venue come to life with their florals! The reception venue is a challenge for all vendors because it is halfway up the ski mountain accessed only by gondola allowing less than two hours for the whole load up and set up. From large centerpieces to a full 360 degree fireplace installation, Taylor’d Events did it in record time and transformed the traditional Austrian style ski lodge into a stunning wedding venue!

We worked with local jeweler, Jensen Stern, to design our perfect wedding bands and matching gifts for the bridal party. They sourced different stones, 3D printed band shapes, and customized metal textures.

Salt Water Sky played live music at our reception and after party. They were an amazing small band and we were so fortunate to have them!

Jordan and Wes planned a one-of-a-kind winter celebration at Sun Valley Resort, where they both call home. Their beautiful bluebird wedding day began with day-of skiing and exchanging vows atop Bald Mountain, decked out in their ski wedding attire. Jordan glided down the mountain in an allwhite ski outfit topped with a Goldbergh fur jacket, mittens and a flowing cape, while Wes sported an all-black Aztec Mountain look. Their wedding party wore bright blue Perfect Moment and dark green Aztec Mountain puffers, while guests donned matching logo beanies hand drawn by by the bride and handed out at the ceremony. That evening, following mountaintop vows, everyone warmed up at the Roundhouse Lodge for a fondue-filled reception. Jordan swapped her ski gear for a Maggie Sottero gown paired with Morgan Buckert Custom Boots stitched with Baldy, hearts and a sheriff’s badge in honor of their pup. Champagne-gold gowns and furs, black suits with belt buckles from Hells Canyon Bolo Co., lush florals by Taylor’d Events and a scrumptious Konditorei cake completed the scene. And to close out the night, the couple made their grand exit with a sparkler send-off on the River Run bridge.

ADVICE TO FUTURE COUPLES

“Your wedding goes by too fast, so make the most of the planning process too! Romanticize wedding planning; it can be a fun opportunity to spend time together. And, on the day of, I recommend finding a few moments with your partner to step back and observe everyone who came to love you!”

Mason & Hayden

Mason and Hayden met in Colorado after each had relocated from opposite coasts. Their first date was one for the books, Mason had recently broken her leg in a ski accident and showed up on crutches, a detail she hadn’t mentioned to Hayden beforehand. After dating for three years, Hayden surprised Mason with a trip to Moab, Utah, where he proposed beneath the arches at Looking Glass with their dogs by their side. “We spent the rest of the weekend hiking, swimming and even discovering our love for cold plunges,” shared Mason. When it came time to select a wedding location, Taos was a no-brainer.

“It holds a very special place in our hearts. We’ve been going there since our first year of dating and we absolutely fell in love. We wanted to share its beauty and rich cultural history with all of our friends and family.”

With the help of Wild Heart Events, Mason and Hayden planned a garden party meets dive bar wedding for 150 of their closest friends and family at Hotel Luna Mystica. Inspired by Georgia O’Keeffe’s art and southwestern architecture, the ceremony showcased bold yet earthy florals by Layered Vintage that echoed the Taos skies. Knowing she didn’t want a typical gown, Mason said “Yes!” to a Wed Studio design from Loho Bride, a structured strapless ballgown with a voluminous skirt. To accessorize, she wore an heirloom necklace from her grandmother, who donned the matching bracelet that day. As the sun set, guests gathered for a reception where striped linens and eclectic textures added a playful pop, and everyone enjoyed a vibrant family-style feast by Con Amor Catering & Events featuring local and seasonal ingredients.

ADVICE TO FUTURE COUPLES

“Have fun with it! Remember what is important to you and stick to that. Collaborate with your partner because at the end of the day it’s about both of you. Also, pick vendors that you enjoy as people because it will make your day that much better!”

VENDORS THAT WENT ABOVE AND BEYOND

We want to especially callout our Taos local vendors. Elijah Safford owns a local restaurantAceq (which is incredible btw!) and an event venue - Salto’s where we hosted our rehearsal/ welcome drinks. He did our entire bar service for the weekend and was a massive resource for us throughout the planning process and weekend. He’s a joy to work with and has a love for Taos that is contagious.

Jen our caterer who owns Con Amor Catering & Events was also a pleasure to work with. She is so knowledgeable in the culinary space. You can absolutely taste the amount of love that she puts into her food. We had the most amazing experience working with her and were blown away by her food.

Hotel Luna Mystica, our venue, was everything we wanted. :) The staff is incredibly friendly and they do a wonderful job upkeeping the property. We enjoyed every second of the weekend there and will absolutely be staying there again.

As for our non-local vendors, the Wild Hearts Team - they absolutely nailed the entire weekend. They worked so seamlessly with our other vendors creating an environment of collaboration, support and playfulness. That whole team clearly cares a lot about their clients and the people they’re working with. It’s really great to see vendors support each other and creates absolute magic on the wedding day.

We also have to callout Taylor, our photographer. She’s such a phenomenal talent and once again pleasure to work with. I think there’s a theme to the vendors we worked with. She really went above and beyond to capture the weekend. She clearly understood our reverence for Taos and you could feel it in the way she captured the landscape!

Last person I’ll call out is my cousin, Robert Harrington, who did my hair throughout the weekend. It was so incredibly special to have that moment with him before the wedding. We were both crying and laughing the entire time. He’s such a phenomenal hair stylist, so I was lucky to have him there!

Sonya & Rahul

Sonya and Rahul first connected on the dating app Dil Mil while living in California. However, with plans to return to New Jersey to complete medical school, the intention was never to jump into anything serious. What began as casual drinks in Long Beach, California, quickly grew into multiple dates each week, and before long, Rahul was confidently introducing Sonya as his girlfriend. Even after he moved back east, the two couldn’t shake their connection. Through years of long distance, a breakup and a reunion, their bond only deepened. Years later when Rahul proposed on Catalina Island, with Sonya’s siblings and cousins hiding nearby ready to celebrate, it felt like the full-circle moment they’d been waiting for.

With the help of Jennifer Bergman Weddings, Sonya and Rayul planned a wedding weekend at the Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge, their dream wedding venue, that highlighted Canadian vendors, flavors and traditions while also honoring their Indian heritage. The festivities began with a playful nod to the Canadian setting. “What if we had everyone wear Canadian tuxedos?” started as a joke, but soon became a reality. Two hundred guests, most of them Indian, arrived in head-to-toe denim, each wearing a golden scarf designed by Sonya’s sister, complete with maple syrup motifs, their wedding date and western details. Sonya stunned in white denim topped with a custom Kemo Sabe cowboy hat from her Jackson Hole, Wyoming, bachelorette, while Rayul sported a Levi’s trucker jacket and bolo tie. With a canoe bar serving up Jasper Brewing Co. beers, the welcome party became one of the most unforgettable moments of the weekend.

ADVICE TO FUTURE COUPLES

“Expect that there will be disagreements in the planning process, and that’s OK.

Don’t be afraid to have a little bit of fun/silliness that symbolizes who you are as a couple.

You don’t have to invite anyone you don’t want to.

Prioritize guest experience - they’re taking time off, going out of their way, spending money to travel and see you for your big day.”

For the ceremony, white and yellow florals lined a meandering aisle that opened to a lakeside mandap, with the snowcapped peaks of the Rockies serving as witnesses alongside their closest friends and family. Sonya wore a regal deep-red Marwar Couture lehenga embroidered with deer and peacocks, while Rahul donned a custom ivory sherwani by Paarsh Atelier with sage accents. As the sun set, the celebration shifted to a moody, enchanted reception where Sonya slipped into a dramatic corseted gown by S&N by Shantnu Nikhil and Rahul into a dapper black tux, and guests danced beneath hanging lights on a monogrammed checkered floor. The couple also made sure their loved ones felt part of the spotlight. “We realized that guests get dressed up for these events but rarely get great photos of themselves, which is why we hired the Be My Guest Portraits photo booth team for classy black-and-white portraits.” It was the perfect finale to a weekend that was nothing short of extraordinary.

Anh & Michael

Anh and Michael, like many modern couples, met on a dating app. While Michael had plans to move to Panama for a job, he ended up relocating to California, which allowed their relationship to continue stateside. After dating for three years, Michael planned a proposal for the ages. During a trip to Egypt at the Philae Temple Anh shared, “We found a quiet spot to sit, catch our breath and take in the view of the iconic Nile River.” As she expressed her gratitude for being in such a beautiful place with the love of her life, Michael surprised her by pulling out a ring. Under a new moon and solar eclipse, Anh said the easiest “Yes!” ever.

Their day included a modern Vietnamese tea ceremony and a lively reception featuring plant-based cuisine and an energetic playlist from Direct Sounds DJs. Looking back, Anh shares, “It was a feast for the senses. A perfect summer night, not too hot, not too cold-with bright stars against a sapphire sky. Dynamic music in the background, while the red rocks and vortex protected us.”

“Do what genuinely feels right for both of you, not what you think is expected. Don’t put pressure on everything to be the ‘best ever,’ it’s a moment in time, and it’s okay if everything isn’t perfect. Peyton & James

Peyton and James, set up by friends in college, dated for five years before getting engaged. James chose the barn where Peyton’s horse, Charming, is boarded in Texas for his proposal. With shared roots in the equestrian world and a love for wide-open spaces, choosing Big Sky felt natural for their wedding weekend. With the help of Penny Layne Creative, the couple went on to plan an elegant, Western-inspired wedding for 175 guests at Lone Mountain Ranch. The celebration blended refined style with rustic charm, kicking off the weekend with a fun Western welcome party featuring wood-fired pizzas, signature ranch-inspired cocktails and live music that set the tone for the festivities to follow.

After becoming husband and wife, Peyton and James joined their guests for a reception, held beneath a clear-top tent, featuring a thoughtful mixture of textures and patterns, with soft linens, natural wood accents and flickering candlelight creating an atmosphere of quiet luxury. Makenzie and Alex met at a fraternity party at the University of Colorado, Boulder, when they were 19 years young. Alex shared, “Fast forward to our first date, Hana Sushi on ‘The Hill,’ where we, may or may not have, had a few sake bombs and ended the night with a McDonald’s order, I knew she was the one!” After six years together, Alex proposed on a cloudy afternoon in Carmel, California. Makenzie shared, “After an afternoon of wine tasting, we changed into our cozies for a beachfront sushi picnic, a tradition of ours. As we were listening to music, reminiscing about the past six years of our relationship, Alex got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. It was intimate, unexpected and the most special surprise!” To celebrate, the couple enjoyed a weekend filled with coastal drives, horseback riding and a whole lot of love.

Whitney from The Story of Flowers put my floral vision into words so beautifully, she said “Evoking the feeling of stumbling upon a wildflower superbloom on the hillside...”, “by prioritizing seasonal ingredients grown locally in Colorado. Soft, warm, earthy palette reminiscent of the wildflowers, grasses, and aspens native to the Rockies.” She has an incredible eye.

Colin and Lakin’s incredible photography and videography captured our day perfectly. They fit in quietly and seamlessly, and told our story beautifully raw and genuine.

Makenzie and Alex planned a cozy, cabininspired wedding with Ralph Lauren flair for 90 guests at Beano’s Cabin. Opting not to do a first look, Alex first saw his bride in a stunning Dana Harel gown as she walked down the aisle toward the sweeping peaks of the Rockies, her cathedrallength veil drifting in the wind. For the reception, pops of yellow wildflowers and the glow of candlelight accented the tables, adding to the intimate, familydinner atmosphere that ended up being the couple’s favorite part of the day.. Looking back, Makenzie shared, “Once the dance floor opened, it never stopped; friends on shoulders, spins straight out of Blades of Glory and even a few ripped suit pants. We felt endlessly celebrated and so loved.”

Kelsey & Kieran

Kelsey and Kieran spent years living on opposite sides of the country, unaware they worked for the same company until a work event brought them face-to-face. After getting to know one another, the two boarded flights home. However, months of staying connected eventually led them back to each other, and this time, neither was willing to let go. Two years into dating, Kieran was able to pull off the surprise of a lifetime during what Kelsey thought was an ordinary trip to New York City, New York. At Bethesda Fountain, surrounded by roses, a violinist and their families waiting just out of sight, Kieran asked Kelsey to marry him, and she said “Yes!” without hesitation.

Kelsey and Kieran planned an old-world Italian celebration at The Bellagio for 105 of their closest friends and family. Now calling Las Vegas home, choosing the iconic resort felt like the perfect fit for their vision and the start of their forever together. Their ceremony unfolded on the Julietstyle terrace framed with lush calla lilies, a meaningful choice, as they were the same flowers Kieran’s late mother, Amy, carried on her own wedding day. Kieran and his brother also wore lockets tucked inside their jackets to keep her close. After exchanging vows, guests moved into a candlelit reception where long satin-draped tables, crystal glassware and towering arrangements created a warm, romantic glow. The night was filled with espresso martinis, heartfelt toasts and a packed dance floor before Kelsey and Kieran ended the evening with everyone letting loose to “Unwritten” by Natasha Bedingfield.

ADVICE TO FUTURE COUPLES

“Just enjoy it all, including the process leading up to it. Make memories along the way and remember to make time to reflect on your love leading up to that day. This is a party, it is an event, yes - but more importantly, it is the day you promise your lives to each other in front of your most trusted people. And, on ‘the day,’ make sure you make time to just stare into each other’s eyes, and take mental photographs that you’ll cherish 60 years down the road.”
