PARK CITY
Kallyn, a soccer player, and Parker, a baseball player, met on their very first day of freshman year at Salt Lake Community College during an athlete’s class. They hit it off instantly and soon began dating. Four years later, while vacationing in Florida, Parker led Kallyn to a private beach just as the sun began to set. With the vibrant colors of the sunset surrounding them, he got down on one knee and asked Kallyn to be his forever. She, of course, said “Yes!” and the two planned a destination wedding in Los Cabos, Mexico, for 60 of their friends and family.

OLIVIA + DALLIN
Olivia and Dallin met in eighth grade, and remained close friends through high school before life took them in different directions. A few years later, the timing finally felt right, and the two realized they would be silly not to see where things could go. After just a year of dating, Dallin knew he was ready to take the next step. Growing up on a farm, he arranged a horse-drawn sleigh ride through the snow, leading Olivia to a glowing setup of lights and photos in the middle of one of his family’s fields. As they stepped off the sleigh, surrounded by the stillness of winter, Dallin got down on one knee and asked Olivia to be his wife.
SAVANA + GAVIN
Savana and Gavin were introduced through a mutual connection, Gavin’s cousin, who also happened to be Savana’s best friend. During a visit to St. George, the two instantly connected over their shared love of gossip and quickly became friends. Despite his cousin’s playful protests, they soon started dating. Not long after, they began joking about getting married, and those jokes quickly turned into reality. After dating for eleven months, Gavin planned a special date and took Savana to her favorite spot near Utah Lake. Knowing she disliked surprises, she thought she knew exactly when he would propose, but Gavin had a clever trick up his sleeve. He told her the ring would not arrive on time and even teased that he might pop the question with a ring pop instead. When the moment came, he got down on one knee with the ring pop in hand before tossing it aside and revealing the real ring. It was the perfect surprise and left Savana laughing and saying “yes!”

Riley and Eric had noticed one another at their local gym numerous times, but it wasn’t until they connected on Hinge that they decided to go on their first date. After a year and a half of dating, Eric was ready to take the next step. To set the scene, he suggested they take photos with their dog, Griz, since they hadn’t captured any family pictures together yet, and what Riley thought was just a fun photo day turned into the moment he proposed. Although Riley joked she “knew it was coming,” the surprise is a memory they will cherish forever, beautifully captured by Kayla Bertagnolli Photography. Antelope Island proved to be the perfect location, blending Eric’s South Central Alaskan roots with the earthy elements of Riley’s Utah home.

BIG SPRINGS
Courtney and McKay met during their freshman year at Brigham Young University, where paint nights, kickball teams and shared ward activities quickly led to a playful friendship. Even while serving missions on opposite sides of the world, McKay in Africa and Courtney in Germany, they stayed in touch through emails and weekly voice memos. When they both returned home, everything shifted. “McKay flew to Texas to help me drive my car back to Utah,” Courtney shared. “Somewhere along that road trip, I finally agreed to go out with him, and the rest is history.” Just six months later, McKay surprised Courtney with a proposal in Dallas, Texas, at Clyde Warren Park, the very spot where they had first held hands the summer before.

High school sweethearts, Kylie and Hunter met the way most love stories start now, on social media. One follow turned into nonstop talking, friendship turned into dating, and three years later, Hunter proposed in the rain-filled Alta mountains. After spending the weekend pretending to be sick, he surprised Kylie with a secret photo shoot he planned with her friend to capture the moment. Inspired by the idea of a high-end Western welcome dinner, this styled shoot reimagines the rehearsal dinner or welcome party as more than just a prelude. Planned and designed by Everson Events, the vision came to life at High West Distillery, located just 25 minutes outside of Park City, high in the Wasatch mountains, a venue that honors its Western roots while feeling elevated and inviting. A natural color palette anchored the evening, while pops of spring-inspired hues added a playful sense of energy. Together, the setting and guestforward experiences demonstrate how intentional design can shape the overall guest experience from the very first night of the wedding weekend.
Leaning into local flavors, the evening began with a whiskey and chocolate pairing featuring High West spirits alongside Ritual Chocolate, creating a sensory-driven moment guests could truly savor. Incorporating regional brands is a fun way to highlight the destination and give your friends and family something to connect over from the moment they arrive.
Interactive elements continued with a custom belt branding bar by Hellhound Events, alongside a curated hat bar from Feather Hat Bar, each offering guests an experience that doubled as a keepsake. Whether included at a welcome party, rehearsal dinner or wedding reception, these thoughtful details invite guests to participate while leaving with something personal from the celebration.
Design details brought the full concept together, from delicate lace detailing on the place cards to hearty Westerninspired menu selections that felt true to the setting. Choosing food and paper goods that align with the overall theme helps create a cohesive experience, allowing guests to feel fully immersed in the weekend’s vision. What makes High West Distillery especially wellsuited for gatherings like this is its seamless blend of indoor and outdoor spaces, giving everyone the freedom to move, mingle and take in the scenery while enjoying the relaxed, welcoming atmosphere. As the night comes to a close, everyone will leave with full bellies and ready for the celebration ahead.

LET THEM EAT CAKE
Inspired by the grandiose maximalism of Marie Antoinette, this editorial at The Madison Venue in Ogden blends European elegance with the lightness and romance of summer. Planned and designed by Rachel Phipps Event Design, the shoot embraces old-world opulence through a modern lens, layering delicate lace, golden light and intricate styling to create a setting that feels both artful and inviting. The historic venue’s rich architectural details provided a striking foundation, allowing the design to balance grandeur with intimacy in a way that feels timeless rather than theatrical.
Fashion played a leading role in the overall vision, with the bride intentionally using style as a form of expression throughout the day. She made a statement in two distinct looks, beginning with a clean, minimalist gown from Renee Atelier Bridal, designed by Alexandra Grecco and paired with a delicate lace veil. Later, the bride transitioned into a second dress with a chic open back and beautifully draped silk, designed for toasts, twirls and an evening that felt anything but formal. The groom’s look from Friar Tux complemented the bridal styling with classic tailoring that felt polished and modern. For the ceremony, Mo and Co. Floral, in collaboration with FiftyFlowers, created a unique, ground-level floral installation that lined the aisle, transforming the space into an immersive experience rather than a traditional ceremony layout.
The reception design leaned fully into playful maximalism. Tables were dressed in patterned linens layered with buttery golds, ripe peaches, soft blush tones and honeydew greens. Sculptural floral arrangements by Mo and Co. Floral spilled across the tables, incorporating hanging amaranthus, cockscomb celosia, clematis, dahlias, butterfly ranunculus, garden roses and sweet peas, among many others. The result felt lush and abundant while still curated and editorial. Rentals from Diamond Event & Tent grounded the space with classic textures, while paper goods by Oblation Letter Press added a refined finishing touch to each place setting.
Dessert became a true focal point of the design, with three distinct cakes by Event Cakes by Han, each unique yet cohesive within the overall aesthetic. The cakes featured cinnamon vanilla layers filled with spiced roasted pears, cinnamon cream cheese schmear and vanilla buttercream. Displayed alongside a softly draped, half-circle table, the setup reimagined the idea of a sweetheart table, offering space for parents or a bridal party to join the couple for a more intimate and elevated dining experience. Catering and beverage elements completed the scene, inviting guests to gather, sip and snack as the celebration unfolded around them.

Isabelle & Jeremy
High school sweethearts, Isabelle and Jeremy, first met during their junior year. For their first date, they headed to Bahama Buck’s, where they spent hours playing card games and talking, completely losing track of time. From there, they became inseparable, attending dances together, adjusting their schedules to share classes and making the most of every moment side by side. Five years later, Jeremy surprised Isabelle with a beachside proposal in Newport, California, turning her long-held dream into reality after quietly speeding up the arrival of her ring. With the ocean as their backdrop and family there to celebrate, the moment felt perfectly timed. “It was everything I had hoped for and more,” Isabelle shared, as they began their next chapter together.
Isabelle and Jeremy were married in the Bountiful Utah Temple before hosting a “Happily Ever After” inspired celebration with 300 guests at The Caledonia. Drawing inspiration from a real-life fairytale, Isabelle wore a romantic A-line gown from Frankie Jane Couture Bridal with soft ruffle sleeves, styled with her natural curls and a delicate headband. Poppies were woven into her bouquet and arrangements in honor of Isabelle’s late grandfather, adding a deeply personal layer to the design. Guests enjoyed a relaxed, celebratory atmosphere complete with yard games, including putt-putt golf and cornhole, while the couple’s first dance felt straight out of a movie after weeks of practicing together in their kitchen. The night ended with a sparkler send-off and a cinematic exit in a classic red Porsche.

FAVORITE PURCHASE
Our favorite investment was our photographer and videographer! Not a day goes by where I don’t look at our wedding pictures and I watch our wedding video at least three to four times every week. Our wedding day felt like it went by so fast! But being able to relive the day through the photos and videos made it so worth it and I am so glad we chose Haley and Grace because they captured everything so perfectly!

Abigail and Jae met during their freshman year at Smith College in Northampton, Massachusetts, when a mutual friend invited them to an event on a nearby campus. What began as a casual introduction quickly grew into something more. After three years together, both Abigail and Jae proposed during the magical Christmas season at Rockefeller Center in New York City, New York, with two friends present to witness and celebrate the momentous occasion.
With dreams of something intimate and deeply personal, Abigail and Jae decided to elope at the county courthouse with just a handful of witnesses. Before exchanging vows, the two brides spent the morning together at Le Méridien Salt Lake City, savoring the quiet excitement of the day. They slipped into matching pajamas, their something blue, before dressing in stunning gowns from Rosie Etienne and Anthropologie. Once ready, Abigail and Jae toasted with champagne and cut a delicate coconut cake, celebrating their love with just the two of them before heading off to say “I do!”

Adrian and Chris met shortly after she moved from Texas, but a first date was put on pause while Chris was traveling abroad for work. When timing was finally on their side, the two went wine tasting at Tracy Aviary and, as Adrian shares, “the rest is history!” Just a year and a half later, the couple found themselves in Hilton Head, South Carolina, with family, when the trip took an unexpected and unforgettable turn. “We walked around the marina to the 18th hole at Harbour Town to look at the lighthouse. When I turned around, he was down on one knee. I immediately said ‘Yes!’” After grabbing coffee in town and taking a few quiet moments to celebrate together, Adrian and Chris returned to a surprise engagement party thoughtfully set up by their family.
FAVORITE PURCHASE
A custom crest that we incorporated throughout the event – from wax seals on our invitations to the projected crest during the reception. It incorporated the Mississippi state flower, where I am from, the Pennsylvania state flower, where Chris is from, and the Utah state flower, where we met and live. It also incorporates our two dogs and hummingbirds which frequent our backyard and symbolize joy, love, luck, happiness and resilience.

My gown had a piece of small blue fabric sewn into the bodice and one of our dogs also has one blue eye, so that was a bonus “something blue.”

Abbie, our planner with Everson Events, was incredibly attentive and positive, helping bring all of our ideas together into a cohesive and beautiful event.
Ciaran, our photographer, made us feel so comfortable during our engagements and on the wedding day. The entire photography and videography team— Kaye Shaye Film and Wild Pines Collective—captured everything perfectly and made the day fun for our whole bridal party. Kaylor with Kaye Shaye Videography even arrived early to capture our first look at no extra charge.
Sydney with Merci Floral was a genius, translating the feeling of the foothills into a modern, organic and cozy design.
Lumiere and Moonlight Utah transformed the space with stunning draping.
The Blended Table created a delicious menu while being flexible with our requests.
Tribeca Ensemble even learned the Jurassic Park theme song for our prelude, and our DJ elevated the evening with live saxophone during dinner and dancing.
Nicole with Pink Seams Alterations worked tirelessly to ensure my dresses fit perfectly and was incredibly kind and supportive throughout the process.
With the help of Everson Events, Adrian and Chris planned an elegant yet cozy wedding at the Natural History Museum of Utah, welcoming 75 friends and family for a celebration designed to reflect the foothills of Utah while feeling like a chic dinner party in New York City, New York. For the ceremony, guests gathered among a modern setup softened with organic greenery and florals, creating a warm contrast against the museum’s architectural lines. Inside, rich green velvet draping added depth and texture, setting the tone for a refined yet inviting reception complete with serpentine tables. As a thank you to their loved ones, the couple gifted guests custom dinosaur chocolates from Hatch Chocolates, a favorite treat they often grab after a long hike and a subtle nod to their wedding venue.

Mia and Hunter, like many modern couples, first connected over Instagram. What started as casual DMs quickly turned into something more, even with distance keeping them in different states for a time. After just eight months together, Hunter knew it was time to ask Mia to be his wife. One evening, while the two were visiting her grandparents in Laguna Beach, California, he suggested a walk along the sand before dinner. Waiting for her on the beach at Three Arch Bay was a simple yet stunning setup with candles flickering, waves rolling in and Hunter down on one knee.
Mia and Hunter planned a summer wedding tucked away in the mountains at Sundance Mountain Resort. After a sealing at the temple, Mia and Hunter gathered with their 300 guests on the cabin’s wraparound porch for a reception where long farm tables set the tone for a cozy family-style dinner. They blended rustic mountain charm with a modern touch through soft draping, open cabin doors and a romantic palette of light yellow, pink and green. Mia stunned in a Halfpenny London gown from Frankie Jane Couture Bridal and Hunter looked sharp in a classic black suit tailored to perfection. As the night came to a close, guests showered the couple with white flower petals before they drove off in a convertible Porsche.

Communicate with your fiancé from the very beginning! Be clear about expectations, divide up responsibilities and set weekly goals so you can tackle wedding tasks together without feeling overwhelmed. Most importantly, make sure you’re both being heard — it’s such an exciting season, and approaching it as a team makes the whole process so much more meaningful and enjoyable! After attending numerous weddings at the Utah State Capitol, Ellie and Crew knew it would be the perfect venue for their own love story to unfold. The grand marble architecture set the tone for a timeless celebration, while whimsical, textural florals softened the space with a dreamy touch of color. For the ceremony, Ellie wore a custom gown from House of Renhue paired with a romantic lace veil, while Crew looked sharp in a classic tux and bow tie from Spier and Mackay. The couple was greeted at the altar by Ellie’s brother, who officiated the heartfelt exchange of vows. Making the first move, Jasmine sent Karan a simple DM on Instagram. From that moment on, not a single day passed without connection. After years of navigating a long-distance relationship, the couple wanted to begin their wedding journey with something deeply personal. With a celebration planned full of color, music and hundreds of loved ones, Jasmine shared, “We wanted the wind, the rocks and each other. No distractions. No timelines. Just presence.” The Amangiri offered the space for just this. “A space to slow down, speak from our hearts, and reflect on what this journey truly means, outside the expectations of culture and ceremony.” Jasmine wore a sculptural Amit Aggarwal gown that mirrored the desert’s fluid lines, while Karan looked effortlessly refined in a cream linen suit that perfectly complemented the soft, sunlit landscape. After exchanging vows, the two spent the following day fully immersed in the Amangiri experience, hiking the otherworldly terrain, savoring incredible cuisine and soaking in the stillness that surrounded them.

Aislinn and Kevin met at a Fourth of July party at Kevin’s lake house after his cousin invited her to join in on the fun. Aislinn initially placed Kevin firmly in the friend zone, but eventually admitted her feelings and the two began dating. Three years later, on a trip to Pensacola, Florida, Kevin suggested a walk along the beach to hunt for seashells before dinner. Aislinn thought this might be the moment, however, as the sun began to set, she grew discouraged. Soon after, Kevin cleaned the sand from a shell and asked Aislinn to look inside. To her surprise, a ring was hidden within.
Aislinn and Kevin always knew Utah would be where they tied the knot. Together, they planned a desertchic wedding in southern Utah that balanced thoughtful design with a relaxed, guest-focused atmosphere. The ceremony took place overlooking the surrounding desert landscape, where a low, ground-level floral installation framed the couple as they exchanged vows. For the reception, the couple opted for playful, foodforward tables designed to feel inviting and unfussy, with intentional layouts, collected decor and warm neutral linens that tied seamlessly into the color palette. Grapes appeared throughout the design, from tabletop accents to subtle styling moments, including the bride’s bouquet. As the night unfolded, the celebration shifted from an elegant dinner party to full-on party mode, ending with guests jumping into the pool alongside the couple.

Sidney and Yaw’s story began in high school, when a shared group of friends brought them together despite attending neighboring schools. From the very first conversation, there was an immediate connection. The girls at The Wild Oak made every one of our dreams come true. They did all of our florals, decor and food. I knew it was going to be taken care of and was something I didn’t have to worry about.
Baking Blonde Co also did an amazing job. I knew exactly what I wanted and she did exactly that. Not only did she make my cake in a size she doesn’t normally offer, she also made it gluten free because I am sensitive to gluten.
For their wedding, Sidney and Yaw chose The Wild Oak, a setting that perfectly reflected the timeless, romantic aesthetic they envisioned, welcoming 300 friends and family to celebrate alongside them. Sidney wore a sleek, sculptural gown from Pritchétt Bridal, paired with statement earrings and a modern neck scarf, while Yaw complemented her look in a classic black suit finished with cherry mocha loafers that tied into the couple’s color palette. Guests gathered beneath a lush ceremony arch, where soft greenery and blooms framed the moment before the celebration transitioned into an effortless indoor-outdoor reception, complete with dirty sodas and a gluten-free raspberry swirl cake. Al fresco dinner tables stretched beneath the vines and twinkle lights, paired with warmly lit indoor tables inside the venue, allowing the evening to unfold naturally from golden hour into night. One of the most memorable moments came during Sidney and Yaw’s first dance, a choreographed routine they practiced for months, followed by a private dance and sparkler exit to close out the night.

Jane and Christian met beneath the glow of stage lights at a Bon Iver concert, where they just so happened to be standing next to one another, dancing and singing along to their favorite songs. Months later, after running into each other again at a friend’s house, they decided to go on their first date. While dating long distance, it quickly became clear there was something special between them, and just under a year into their relationship, Christian planned the ultimate proposal during a trip to California. “He sent me fake flight times and told me his flight was delayed, so we went to the beach to ‘wait for his plane to land,’” Jane shared. Little did she know, Christian was already there at sunset, waiting with flowers as their parents, siblings, and closest friends looked on. Jane said yes and a few days later, the two returned to the beach to collect seashells to hold their rings, a keepsake that now lives on their nightstands as a reminder of that moment.

I did change out of my wedding dress to leave, and wore a Zimmermann tea length, drop waist dress paired with green Saint Laurent martini heels. The vibe was a little beachier, a creamy ivory color and woven fabric and I loved how the shape was vaguely reminiscent of Audrey Hepburn’s wedding dress in Funny Face, fuller skirt, fitted bodice.

Can’t rave enough about Melissa Stickney, our photographer. She had eight cameras, a second shooter for our wedding day and absolutely nailed everything we discussed. We came up with shot lists, she got first and last names of everyone I wanted photos with, organized us into groups, the works! She’s a miracle worker. Most of our best shots were on one of her five or six film cameras!
Our florist, Morgan Cullimore, with Olive and Sage Floral, delivered the most incredible surprise, a simple all-lily of the valley bouquet. I’ve dreamed about it my whole life, and cried when she brought them. Didn’t think we could get them but she made it happen! She and I had several meetings just picking out flower types, designing tablescapes and day of she delivered! Her floral design was more than I could’ve imagined.
Special shout outs to our sign maker Haus of Acrylics. They were so unique.
Also our DJ, Turntable Tyson, spun vinyl all night long, perfect for the mostly oldies wedding I envisioned.
With the help of her mother, Jane and Christian planned a classic garden-themed wedding at The Villa in Cedar Hills, welcoming 150 family members and friends. Jane wore a high-neck, long sleeve lace gown by Alon Livné from Frankie Jane Couture Bridal, inspired by the timeless elegance of Grace Kelly and finished with a cathedral length Spanish linen veil and ivory Prada slingbacks. A tiny blue flower hairpin, gifted by her sister, added a sentimental nod to tradition, while her bouquet, an all lily of the valley arrangement by Olive and Sage Floral, was a lifelong dream brought beautifully to life. Christian complemented her look in a black Italian wool suit that felt refined yet relaxed, perfectly suited for a summer celebration.
Guests moved effortlessly through the property, gathering for dinner, dancing, croquet on the lawn and indulgent desserts including three cakes and a gelato cart. The dining experience was a true highlight of the evening. “We were really keen on having lots of fresh hot food. I could write a college level dissertation on Culinary Crafts,” Jane shared. “Pizza ovens, a flaming pasta wheel, a mezzaluna blade salad station. It was all a 10/10.” From ribbon wand sendoffs to vinyl spun dance floors and a first dance to “I Will” by The Beatles, the celebration was one to remember.

Halle and Daxton met while attending Utah State University, bonding over a shared love for skiing that often pulled them up the canyon to Beaver Mountain. Fashion played a defining role in bringing that vision to life, beginning with Halle’s drop-waist gown, chosen for its romantic silhouette and silky satin finish that felt perfectly at home against the château’s old-world architecture, while Daxton’s classic black tux anchored the look with timeless sophistication. As the evening unfolded, Halle slipped into a Rosie Etienne mini paired with shimmering, pearly gloves that felt unexpected and fun, especially during their exit when the couple smashed swan-shaped piñatas beneath the château balcony, a subtle nod to their Bruges proposal.
