The warmer weather has come and, with it, the sights, sounds and feelings of the season - spring is here! After the winter months, the ability to create a publication full of bright palettes, beautiful florals and warm wedding days is a breath of fresh air and a complete joy. Despite this being the 11th Canadian print publication we've released into the world, it never ceases to amaze me how lucky I am to be able to showcase Canada and the absolutely beautiful love stories that take place here every year.
From the waters of the West Coast to the mountains of Banff National Park, and the cityscapes in between, this magazine encompasses a little bit of everything that make Alberta and British Columbia weddings so special. If you are planning your big day in these provinces, these next pages will provide you with unique inspiration, incredible vendor teams and advice to make your day every bit as perfect as you deserve.

Set in the heart of downtown Victoria, wedding photographer, Carissa Marie Photography, planned this city editorial with a twist of modern tropics. Inspired by the Zephyr gown from Ouma, the shoot plays with light, colour and texture in a way that feels fresh and unexpected. “We chose an urban setting instead of a more traditional waterfront backdrop. This contrast allowed the elegance of the dress and the florals to take center stage, creating a beautiful balance of whimsy and sophistication,” Carissa shared. The result is a beautiful balance between soft, cascading tulle and a punchy, fashion-forward aesthetic, proving that bridal fashion can be both bold and delicate. Floral arrangements from Rook & Rose introduced a curated pastel palette of lilac, apricot and apple green, elevated by deep plum hues for a touch of drama. Sweet peas, garden roses, cascading amaranth and delicate orchids formed lush, organic compositions that softened the structured urban setting. A team of women-led creatives brought this vision to life, embracing imperfection, artistry and playful collaboration showcasing an unconventional take on bridal style.

Amanda and Oliver met while working together at JOEY Eau Claire, a contemporary dining spot in Calgary. Oliver, the sous chef, asked Amanda, who was bartending at the time, out at the ice machine. While unsure at the time, her best friend convinced her to go. “I’m so glad she did because we became inseparable from that first date,” Amanda shared. Fast forward to Amanda’s birthday over a decade later, Oliver planned a heartfelt proposal in the backyard of the house they built together. Cueing up a custom song titled “For the Better” and flipping through cue cards in a charming “Love Actually” style, he asked Amanda to be his forever. To celebrate, the couple popped a bottle of Veuve Clicquot champagne and enjoyed dinner at The River Café.

After years of working and traveling abroad, Aleem returned to his hometown of Vancouver, ready to focus on more than just his career. Taking a leap, he joined an online dating app, where he connected with Victor. For their first date, they chose a local pub, Score on Davie. Reminiscing on that day, Aleem shared, “Everything you can imagine from butterflies to fireworks circled the air, and within a month, I had slowly stopped leaving his apartment, which happened to be across the street from The Score. The rest is history from there.” Fast-forward nine years, Victor planned the ultimate surprise proposal, catching Aleem completely off-guard in their home. The surprises didn’t stop there! Champagne, a private chartered flight and an unforgettable day of spa indulgence at the Fairmont Empress followed. From a Gucci store moment straight out of a movie to a stunning sunset flight home, every detail was a reflection of their love story. Victor capped it all off with dinner at Hawksworth and cocktails in Gastown, making it a day Aleem describes as “my ultimate Pretty Woman moment.”
Kelsey and Nic met at university while both studying design. “From the start, there was an undeniable connection, and in just over a month, we were officially dating,” Kelsey shares. After nine years of designing a life side by side, Nic planned the perfect proposal during a dreamy Hawaiian getaway. While Kelsey had a feeling something special was coming, she never expected the heartfelt simplicity of the moment. As the sun dipped below the horizon at the quiet Ko Olina lagoon, Nic turned to her, tears in his eyes, and got down on one knee. “My heart was racing. He pulled out the most beautiful ring, full of baroque pearls. It was simple, elegant and it felt perfect. I knew the real custom diamond ring that my friend Charlotte was planning to make wasn’t ready yet, but at that moment, I didn’t care. This ring was special, and it felt right. I said yes, of course, and the look in his eyes was everything I could’ve hoped for.” Kelsey and Nic stayed for what seemed like forever, watching the sun set and basking in the moment which they described as “intimate, heartfelt and completely us.”
At Banff Sunshine Village we believe your special day should be magical (after all, you’ll remember it for the rest of your life)! Start planning your wedding today!
One evening back in 2012, Stefanie and a friend were hanging out at a local dive bar. Stefanie, playing wing-woman for the evening, began scanning the room for a distraction when her eyes landed on Robert, “a gorgeous guy in a sea of sweaty people.” Her friend dismissed him, saying, “Ugh, he’s not a blonde,” but Stefanie couldn’t resist shooting her shot. After a bold exchange of eye contact, Robert crossed the crowded dance floor, and the rest, as they say, was history. Fast-forward to April 2024, when Robert pulled off a jawdropping surprise proposal. Under the guise of a networking event with New York venture capitalists, he lured Stefanie to a friend’s condo, only for her to find 20 of their closest friends waiting to witness the moment Robert got down on one knee to propose. “It was a special and beautiful effort by many dear friends,” Robert shared, adding that keeping the elaborate preparations a secret was his greatest challenge.

Wedding Planner, Heather Ross, she is a powerhouse. Not only is she talented, resourceful and kind, she will move mountains for you even if those ‘mountains’ are inclement weather, delayed timelines, and picking up rentals in Calgary because your order got canceled.
Photographer, Zoë Snooks, a shooting star, catch her while you can. From the infancy of our planning, Zoë helped us visualize and strategize the look and feel of the wedding with her creative touch. Together, we worked out the overall theme, dress code and cohesion with the venue and florals. The day-of, Zoë was accompanied by her husband, Cameron, who captured video throughout the first look and ceremony via a Super 8mm film camera. This transformed our highlight reel into a visual splendor.
Wedding Florist and Artist, Matt Barciak with Hue Florals, designing wedding florals is a lovely calling, but not for the faint of heart. Often it means guiding couples toward their ideal wedding . Matt not only helped us shape and refine our vision, he spared no effort to ensure our special day was everything we dreamed of, including crafting breathtaking bouquets, pocket squares and arrangements, while adjusting to every setback possible as the weather and our timeline shifted drastically.
Wedding Designer, Rebekah Brontë, with eight weeks until our wedding day, Robert and I hit decision fatigue. Working on our wedding had nearly become full time jobs. As the reception tasks and details kept piling up and we needed a hail Mary. Enter Rebekah Brontë. Despite having a booked schedule, she hopped into the trenches with us, and elevated the wedding into another dimension of creative expression. Even with a truncated timeline, Rebekah educated us on design principles, sourced unique vases and rental furniture, hand stitched our napkins from silk floral fabric and crafted our draped backdrop by hand.
Stefanie and Robert brought city-chic to the mountains with their “black-tie wedding with a funky twist,” an intimate celebration of just 13 guests. Dressed in black tuxedos and vibrant jewel-tone evening gowns, their guests added to the striking atmosphere. “Needless to say, our guests served looks and contributed to the beauty of the ceremony,” the couple shared. Meanwhile, Stefanie stunned in a custom gown by Julia Pistsova from Kiki Bisous Atelier, complemented by a hand-beaded floral collar by Galia Lahav, while Robert donned a tailored tuxedo paired with Ferragamo loafers and a bespoke boutonnière designed by Hue Florals. The floral arrangements embraced vibrant hues of pink, orange and lavender, artfully displayed in a whimsical asymmetrical ceremony setup framed by the majestic Rockies. Reflecting on the moment Stefanie walked down the aisle, Robert shared, “I took that moment to soak in where we were – surrounded by our loved ones in the middle of the mountains with my soulmate before me.”

“If you want to create a one-of-a-kind wedding, be a thoughtful collaborator with your vendors from day one. Your vendors are talented professionals and often, hopeless romantics, who desperately want to create your dream nuptials. Treat them like partners by communicating clearly and kindly, doing your research, preparing visual aids to help them see your vision, soliciting their creative input and feedback and most importantly, express your gratitude generously. Ultimately, they are your ‘ride or dies’ the ones holding you down when inevitably, something(s) doesn’t go according to plan. Choose them wisely and cherish them.”
Ashley and Scott initially met while working for the same company. When they realized they were more than friends, they secretly began dating and became inseparable. However, Ashley wasn’t planning to stay at the company long as she was preparing to move to the United Kingdom for law school. With no time to spare, Scott made the bold decision to move abroad with her. Reflecting on their whirlwind romance, Ashley shared, “Everything happened so quickly, but as the saying goes, ‘when you know, you know.’” After four years together, on their annual trip to the Post Hotel and Spa in Lake Louise for a weekend getaway, Scott decided to take their relationship to the next level and asked Ashley to marry him. Without hesitation, she said, “Yes!”

VENDORS THAT WENT ABOVE AND BEYOND Corrina, our photographer, truly made our day unforgettable. Keeping our wedding party in order was no easy feat, but she managed it effortlessly while maintaining a warm and positive energy. Having her with us throughout the day was such a joy, I can't imagine our wedding being as incredible as it was without her.
Ashley and Scott, with the guidance of wedding planner, Beyond the Proposal, planned a timeless celebration for 60 of their closest friends and family. When it came to choosing a venue, Ashley explained, “We wanted a space that was naturally beautiful with little to no decoration needed. Azuridge Estate Hotel turned out to be the perfect choice, combining amazing architecture with the picturesque landscape.” The ceremony featured an aisle lined with luscious white florals, creating a romantic and elegant setting. Ashley stunned in a Prisma Alexandra Grecco silk slip gown featuring a dramatic V-neckline, bodice boning and an open back. Meanwhile, Scott looked dapper in a classic black tux from Harry Rosen. “Our goal was to choose timeless looks that we’d still love when we look back at our wedding photos 30 years from now—no cringing, just smiles,” Ashley shared. After saying “I do,” the celebration carried on with dancing, heartfelt speeches and a perfect late-night treat of pizza and espresso martinis.
“Start as early as you can! This might be the OCD talking, but you can never plan a wedding too soon, whether it’s designing the theme, shopping for a dress or selecting music. I made an effort to get ahead on these tasks so I wouldn’t feel rushed into any decisions later on. Having the mundane, administrative tasks done, allowed more time and mental space for me to spend on the things I actually enjoyed!”

Emily and John met through mutual friends back in 2019 at a casual get-together. Early in the evening, one of John’s friends approached Emily with a playful grin and said, “Emily, I heard you like cowboys. I’ve got someone I’d like you to meet.” John stepped forward and the connection was instant. The pair spent the rest of the evening inseparable. “I guess I did like cowboys,” Emily reminisced. Three years later, John proposed during a sunset at Emily’s family’s summer home on Hornby Island. Under the glow of the Northern Lights, he asked her to marry him, creating a moment she’d never forget.
Located close to home, Emily and John planned a rustic-modern wedding at Birds Eye Cove Farm, a venue they had admired for years on drives to Genoa Bay. Each time they passed, they would slow down to take in the scenery and the Highland cows, one of them always saying, “That’s where we’re going to get married one day.” When their four-year anniversary aligned with an available date, it felt like fate.
“Just remember that the whole purpose of it all is to just simply celebrate the love that you’ve found, so try not to sweat the small stuff because everything comes together at the end of the day! And don’t ask for opinions on things you don’t really want to hear an answer to! Make the decisions that make you and your partner happy, not anyone else.”
Emily stunned in a W gown styled with a pearl veil and Dolce Vita Tinker Pearl heels, while John embraced his cowboy roots in black Wrangler jeans, cowboy boots and a Stetson hat. Their two-yearold daughter added a sweet touch as the flower girl as she ran around with a bubble machine during the ceremony, sparking laughter throughout the crowd. As the sun set, guests hit the dance floor and indulged in slices of Black Forest, lemon raspberry and white chocolate cake, celebrating late into the night.

Linda from Night Song Farm was great! I had a bit of a difficult time explaining my vision for florals but I felt like she read my mind. With only a small amount of photo examples and descriptions I could come up with, I was so happy with everything she put together.

I would love to shout out my hair stylist, Hailey. The getting ready time should be filled with excitement and zero stress, and Hailey made that time exactly that. She made me look amazing as well, with a hair change in the middle! I would recommend her to any bride.
One of the most important things to me was the flowers. I had a very strong image of exactly how I wanted it to be, and Calyx Floral Design was able to bring my vision to life, better than I imagined it. In fact it was perfect.
The couple planned a vibrant, garden-inspired wedding at 52 North Venue in Sylvan Lake. Surrounded by 167 guests, they incorporated meaningful traditions such as worship, family prayer and communion into their ceremony. Despite a forecast of rain, the skies held off long enough for their dream outdoor ceremony. Lush florals by Calyx Floral Design created a colourful and elegant atmosphere, complete with a flower-lined aisle reminiscent of a scene from Bridgerton. The celebration continued indoors where a reception space awaited featuring romantic floral centerpieces and personal touches like a photo wall showcasing memories of Mya and Eric’s love story.
“Once the planning is done and you are finally at your wedding day, enjoy it. If you can, hire a friend or a professional to deal with anything the day-of. As for you, enjoy every second of the day!”

Both studying Kinesiology while attending Trinity Western University in Langley, Cassidy and Caleb were paired up for a group project. During one of their many library study sessions, they decided to grab food for what was meant to be a quick break. “Three hours of chatting and laughing later, I started to wonder if I was on a date,” Cassidy shared. Caleb walked her to her car, admitted how much fun he’d had, and asked when he could take her out again. It would be on that first, official date, that Caleb would ask Cassidy to be his girlfriend. Four years later, Caleb planned a dreamy proposal that felt straight out of a fairy tale. He led Cassidy on a walk along the boardwalk in Port Moody, where a path of white roses, candles and string lights awaited. At the end of the walkway, under a gazebo decorated with photos of their relationship, Caleb got down on one knee, and Cassidy said it was the “easiest yes I have ever said.”

Cassidy and Caleb planned a dreamy wedding day at Rowena’s Inn on the River, inspired by secret gardens. The ceremony took place under a magnificent walnut tree, a spot that moved them to tears the first time they saw it. “To me, it symbolized resilience and strength, standing tall and firm despite challenges and adversity,” Cassidy shared. Dressed in a satin gown by Chosen by KYHA Studios, paired with a dramatic cathedral veil, Cassidy embodied timeless elegance, while Caleb looked sharp in a custom modern tuxedo. Reflecting on the moment she walked down the aisle, Cassidy said, “The wind blew my veil up into the sky, and it danced magically behind me—it felt like something out of a movie. As I looked down the aisle to see my soon-to-be husband crying and smiling, I had never felt more joy and peace.” From handwritten vows to golden-hour photos, their day was filled with heartfelt moments, ending with a lively reception complete with mini donuts, pizza and dancing under the stars.
“Do your very best to make time for the two of you on your day. Caleb and I did this by taking pictures just the two of us during golden hour which happened to be during dinner.”

Our arches become a canvas of love, capturing the essence of your happily ever after
Brynn and Clay first met as kids at a middle school track meet. It wouldn’t take long for them to start dating, however, they chose to let their love blossom over the next 14 years before starting the next chapter of their lives together. Looking back on the special day, Brynn shared, “he surprised me with a champagne picnic at the Edmonton River Valley. Once we arrived, he got down on one knee and said the most magical things (at least I think he did, I was in shock from excitement). Afterward, when we returned to our apartment, all our friends and family were there waiting to celebrate. It was so special!” Over the next two years, the couple planned a French garden-inspired wedding day at Sparrow Lane for 150 of their closest friends and family.
Living in Europe during most of the planning process, Brynn drew inspiration from her surroundings to craft a dreamy French garden aesthetic. “I changed into my custom dress, made with premium crepe and lined with silk. I had the dress designed to match my theme. I had planned to change into a sparkly Retrofête dress for the reception, but I loved my wedding dress too much to take it off.” While a private vow reading may have been the couple’s favourite moment, exchanging vows beneath a delicate arch of baby’s breath was pure magic. Thoughtful details, like white parasols and fans, ensured guests stayed comfortable on the warm summer day. As the evening unfolded, Brynn and Clay danced their hearts out, savouring signature Tequila Sours and Old Fashioneds until the very last song.
“When planning your wedding, take the time to choose your vendors carefully and ensure they are experienced and reliable. This can make a significant difference in the smoothness of your day. Also, remember that, in the end, the most important thing is getting married and celebrating your love. Despite any small hiccups, the day will be perfect because it’s about the commitment you’re making to each other.”

Camille and Alex had their first encounter at Camille’s twin sister’s housewarming party, where Camille’s attempts at flirting went unnoticed. Fast forward five years, and with a little nudge of encouragement, Camille decided to take matters into her own hands, reaching out to Alex on Instagram and inviting him on a date. The rest, as they say, is history! Two years later, Alex planned a picturesque proposal at Sparkling Hill, a stunning spa resort in Vernon. While the moment was magical, Camille later admitted she wasn’t entirely surprised. After all, Alex had never brought a tripod on a hike before, and his suggestion that she get a manicure beforehand definitely raised her suspicions.
The couple planned a “Classy on the Coast” wedding day at Rockwater Secret Cove Resort featuring breathtaking views of the Sunshine Coast. Camille, a fashion enthusiast, wowed in a strapless Oksana Mukha gown with a dramatic five-foot train, paired with glittering Mach and Mach heels and her own hand-sewn neck scarf. Alex looked equally dashing in a custom Atelier Munro white dinner jacket, complementing their chic coastal theme perfectly. Throughout the day, Camille and Alex were intentional about including as many personal touches as possible from oyster shell name cards collected and crafted by the couple to a cake topper from Camille’s parents’ wedding 39 years ago. One of the magical moments came during cocktail hour when the couple and guests were treated to an unforgettable sight, a pod of dolphins leaping in the water just off the shore.
Favourite thing purchased for your wedding day
Our wedding outfits were the most enjoyable thing we bought. I work in fashion and have a keen eye for details, especially with bridal wear. The several visits we made to Atelier Munro to custom-make Alex's tuxedo were a lot of fun to do together, from picking out materials and stitching patterns to the first time seeing the complete outfit together.

ADVICE TO FUTURE COUPLES
“Book a wedding coordinator/planner/month-of coordinator! Jennifer took all the stress out of set up and made sure our day was executed flawlessly. All through the lead up to the wedding she made sure we had everything covered with many recommendations of things we hadn't even considered.”
High school sweethearts, Meghan and Tai first met in their junior year during a psychology class at a neighboring high school. Though their schools’ shared program lasted only one year, the connection between Meghan and Tai lingered. The following summer, their paths crossed again at a party, and the spark was undeniable. Fourteen years later, Tai proposed by recreating the moment he asked Meghan to be his girlfriend. On the night of her family’s Christmas dinner, Tai had secretly arranged a cozy proposal at home, complete with candles and cupcakes decorated with the words, “Will you marry me?” Meghan walked into the surprise of her life, finding him at the door, ready to ask the question. “It was the most perfect and special night,” Meghan shared.

VENDORS THAT WENT ABOVE AND BEYOND
My entire team was incredible.
My photographer, Victoria, not only helped me find my venue, but created an album for us to share ideas and themes, helped me pick out my outfits and even took the time to check in on me throughout the entire year. She introduced me to her friend Carly who ended up being my videographer, and her other friend Meagan who was her second shooter. Those three were my hype team and made me feel so beautiful. They helped me with everything from fixing my hair, holding my veil, to getting me water. They were the best!
My planner/coordinator, Sydney, was everything I needed and more. She understood my vision and executed it better than I had ever imagined! She was always checking in throughout the planning process to calm my nerves, and even on the day of when it was crunch time, she still found time to check in and make sure I was having a good time! She even arranged for me to be transferred in her colleagues car to the ceremony so I was hidden and stayed cool in the air conditioning. I truly wouldn't have been able to do everything without her.
Meghan and Tai planned an intimate vineyard wedding at Cannon Estate Winery in Abbotsford for 75 guests, a venue that brought Meghan to tears when she first toured it. On the wedding day, she stunned in an elegant off-the-shoulder gown with buttons trailing down the back, later swapping into a bold white jumpsuit with sheer gloves for the reception, perfect for hitting the dance floor and showing off her splits. Their day was filled with heartfelt details, from the Japanese handkerchief Tai’s father gifted him for the ceremony to the honey cake Meghan’s grandmother baked, continuing a cherished family tradition. Guests transitioned from cocktails in the estate’s garden to dinner under the stars, welcomed by a champagne tower and a dreamy sunset. It was under that dreamy sunset that one of the evening’s most unforgettable moments came to life. During their first dance, Meghan and Tai were joined by their loved ones at the end of the song, creating a moment that Meghan says still gives her goosebumps. “It’s a memory I will cherish forever,” she said.
“It’s so hard, but try to not stress the small stuff. At the end of the day, your guests have no idea what you planned for, so if something doesn't happen or you end up not being able have a certain element in your wedding, no one will notice!
Also try to carve out time for just the two of you to take it all in... and remember to eat and drink water! We both found it incredibly difficult to eat on our wedding day because of all the adrenaline and excitement.”

Sara and Declan first met in 2017 while performing for Disney Cruise Line, Sara as a dancer and Declan as a singer. Their connection sparked during a leadership course leading to a romance soon after. Five years later, Declan planned an elaborate escape room proposal, where Sara unknowingly solved puzzles leading to the final clue, her engagement ring.
Wanting a vibrant, sun-soaked celebration, they chose Fitzpatrick Family Vineyards in West Kelowna. With Nikki Sihlis of Created Lovely Events, they infused the day with citrus tones, playful textures and colour-blocked florals. Sara wore the Pado gown by NEWHITE, featuring pleated tulle sleeves and accessorized with A.B. Ellie earrings and Betsey Johnson heels with signature blue soles. For the reception, she swapped into hot pink shoes to match Declan’s custom Addicted Bespoken “party suit,” embroidered with Okanagan wildflowers and paired with hand-painted Nike Air Mids.

I’ve had the incredible honour and privilege of wearing some truly amazing ballgowns and outfits during my time performing, but nothing compares to my wedding dress.
It’s my favourite dress I’ve ever worn. The lightness of the tulle sleeves and the incredible top skirt made me feel incredible. Also a shoutout to my two pairs of A.B. Ellie earrings because I’ll be able to wear them for years to come.

We can never say enough good things about our planner Nikki Sihlis. She’s the ideal combination of our Fairy Godmother and our Jimminy Cricket. She fearlessly assembled and lead a team of voracious creatives who put together everything for our day to make it absolutely perfect. We LOVE her!
Kristina Steunenberg, from Minim Designs, took our vision for a multi-coloured palette and absolutely ran with it, especially with the gravity-defying floral lapels for Sara’s bridesmen. It was absolutely stunning!
Merissa Hucul at Fitzpatrick Family Vineyards was always happy to greet us whenever we dropped in for a site visit. She and her team at 19 Bistro @ Fitz were incredible and made amazing adjustments for a gluten-free and undeniably-delicious menu. Thank you, Merissa, for taking such good care of us and welcoming us into your “house.”
Meghan Hemstra and Tim Feeny were such a positive and caring photography and videography team (respectively). They each made us feel like rockstars and models, hyping us up more than we could ever dream. Capturing our day in a way that showed its character was very important to us and with Meghan's eye-catching candids and Tim’s artfully-assembled narrative, we will be able to cherish the joy of our day forever.
With the crystal blue waters of Okanagan Lake serving as a backdrop, Sara and Declan exchanged vows including a ring warming ceremony where guests passed their wedding bands through the crowd while David Socolar and Eric Ritter performed “Everything Has Changed” by Taylor Swift and Ed Sheeran. Guests transitioned from cocktails in the vineyard to dinner under a sailcloth tent, where citrus-filled tablescapes and golden marigolds added a vibrant touch. Inspired by their years performing at sea, their signature cocktails, the “Port Day” rum punch and the “Sea Day” mojito, set the tone for the evening, while Tickleberry’s Ice Cream made for a sweet late-night treat. But that’s not all! For their first dance, Sara and Declan surprised guests with a choreographed routine to “Standing Next to You” by Jungkook before Declan’s family led a rousing rewritten version of MacNamara’s Band to welcome Sara into the family. “Every moment felt like pure magic,” Sara shared.
“Enjoy EVERY second of it: the engagement, the planning, the wedding, the party, everything! People told us that ‘it goes by so fast’ and we didn’t believe them – but it’s true! So soak up every moment and let the magic happen.”

Blooms by Bridgeland absolutely nailed our florals!
Black + White photo.film was outstanding, so flexible and lovely.

Hotel Arts was fantastic to work with, very accommodating and helpful. They catered cocktail hour offsite as well as hosted the reception onsite.
My uncles restaurant, Pulcinella, did the outstanding pizza for cocktail hour.
Chair Flair completely transformed the reception space with the draping, we were blown away.
Stefanna and Scott’s story officially began in a hot tub between water polo practices, where Scott introduced himself, unaware that Stefanna had known who he was since she was 14. Before this casual encounter, Scott had hilariously spent weeks trying to identify Stefanna after mistakenly thinking her name was Raven. Finally Scott decided to take matters into his own hands and find out who she really was. They quickly bonded over shared interests and became inseparable. Five years later, during their annual trip to the mountains to cut down a Christmas tree, Scott decided it was time to ask Stefanna to be his wife. While accompanied by their dog, Rocky, Stefanna finally settled on a “perfectly wonky” Christmas tree and was surprised to see Scott getting down on one knee asking her to marry him.
Stefanna and Scott tied the knot in a stunning ceremony in Stefanna’s parents’ backyard, fulfilling a dream she’d had since moving there at age 13. The couple’s “sexy grotto” aesthetic came to life with elegant details, such as lush, out of this world florals by Blooms by Bridgeland. Stefanna wore a striking Stephane Rolland gown from Mark Ingram Atelier, paired with a veil made by Scott’s mom using pearls from Stefanna’s mother’s wedding dress. One of the most meaningful touches of the day was the involvement of their grandparents—Stefanna’s Nonna lovingly handmade all the pasta shells for the dinner’s pasta course, while Scott’s grandmother penned the dinner menus, complete with a charming little illustration. After exchanging their heartfelt private vows, the celebration continued with a chic reception at Hotel Arts, where espresso martini carts and a family-style Italian dinner delighted their 215 guests.

Before exchanging vows and celebrating with family and friends, there’s something special about stealing away for a quiet moment with your soon-to-be spouse. A round of golf at Cottonwood Golf & Country Club offers just that, an intimate, lighthearted way to unwind before the big day. Captured beautifully by Tess Lucas Photography, this editorial brings an elevated take on a golfinspired getaway, perfect for couples who want to blend leisure with romance. Styled with a nod to country club elegance, the bride wore a chic all-white look from HALARA, blending sportiness with sophistication. The groom’s refined yet relaxed attire from Adidas and lululemon complemented the setting as the couple moved from playful swings on the green to quiet, affectionate moments.
“We were absolutely tickled pink (or should we say peach?) by last year’s Pantone Colour of the Year, Peach Fuzz,” shares planner Michaelle LeManne Lamb. The playful hue, with its soft warmth and whimsical name, became the heart of this styled shoot, woven into every detail from the delicate florals by Creative Edge Flowers to the subtle peach accents gracing the tablescape. Blush, golden yellow and hints of mint complemented the palette, creating a dreamy aesthetic. The bride embodied effortless elegance in a structured gown from Durand Bridal, its crisp silhouette balancing the organic movement of her bouquet, a lush arrangement of ranunculus, peonies, dahlias and garden roses.
Beyond the fairways, the vibrant blooms of the ceremony arch framed the couple beautifully, serving as a stunning focal point against the natural greenery. Chair Flair elevated the reception with soft blush linens, layered textures and warm candlelight, crafting an inviting yet sophisticated tablescape. Vintage-inspired elements added a fun, nostalgic twist, a classic Bronco from Restomod Nation made for an effortlessly cool getaway, while Avenue Accents’ charming photo setup encouraged guests to capture the celebration.
Tying it all together, the showstopping cake by SWIRL Custom Cakes & Desserts mirrored the floral theme with delicate wired blooms, adding an organic, garden-like feel. Whether teeing off before tying the knot or embracing those in-between moments, this editorial proves that a wedding isn’t just about the day itself, it’s about the memories made along the way.

With a nod to sleek mid-century modern lines and the warmth of mountain design, this styled shoot, designed by Signature Weddings By Ashley, redefines modern wedding aesthetics. The day begins at The Malcolm Hotel, a luxurious property located in the heart of Canmore, where the couple gets ready surrounded by breathtaking mountain views. Set against the stunning backdrop of Banff, Bluebird Woodfired Steakhouse provides the perfect reception venue for a celebration infused with sophisticated Alpine charm. The bride is styled in a timeless Chosen by KYHA Studios gown with a feminine pearl veil designed by Daphne Newman and a soft spritz of Kindred Glow & Co. perfume, adding a signature scent to her bridal look. Meanwhile, the groom wears a tailored tan suit by RW&CO.
At the heart of the design are colourful garden tablescapes, where a mix of marigolds, cosmos, dahlias and fresh herbs creates a striking display in hues of orange, blush pink and green. Gold tableware and layered candlelight from Mountain Event Rentals elevate the ambiance, adding warmth and depth to the evening. For dinner, guests are treated to a fire-roasted chicken entrée, perfectly paired with steakhouse potatoes, grilled broccolini and a rich mushroom jus. The meal is complemented by Bluebird’s signature Passionfruit Marg, a vibrant blend of Espolon Blanco tequila, mezcal, Park Chili vodka, passionfruit, pineapple, chili and lime, adding a bold yet refreshing kick to the evening’s festivities.
As dinner transitions into an evening of celebration, the bride embraces a more playful yet polished look, slipping into a chic off-the-shoulder mini. And for a scrumptious send-off, Pretty Sweet YYC delivers a vanilla cake layered with raspberry jam and smooth buttercream, adorned with delicate florals that echo the tablescape’s rich palette. As the night winds down, guests indulge in a selection of London Fog, vanilla bean, champagne and pistachio macarons, while beautifully decorated sugar cookies provide a final sweet touch.

With a vision to push the boundaries of wedding design, Luca Occasions orchestrated an avant-garde editorial at Kama Calgary, a venue known for its layered textures, thoughtfully designed interiors and immersive, multi-sensory experience. Captured through the lens of Sarah Pukin Photography, this modern-meets-Vogue shoot embraced innovation, weaving together bold fashion and timeless details. Let the pages ahead inspire your chic city “I do!”
In front of an intimate crowd, the bride stunned in a structured gown by Madi Lane Bridal from The Bridal Boutique. For a romantic touch, she wore a big bow hair accessory complementing her polished, low, wavy ponytail paired with glimmering jewelry from Joanna Bisley Design. The gown proved to be a daring style statement as she made her way down the runway-style aisle, making the ceremony feel more like an exclusive, curated event. After her runway moment, the bride met the groom beneath a breathtaking floral installation, where cascading blooms framed the moment the couple became husband and wife.
Hue Florals curated a dreamlike setting for both the ceremony and reception, blending an all-white palette with soft pastel blooms. Anthuriums, orchids, ranunculus, roses and hellebores created a scene that felt both intentional and artful. Towering candles adorned both spaces, casting a warm, inviting atmosphere. Meanwhile, the tablescapes featured organic floral arrangements, timeless dinnerware and modern décor. Guests were treated to Kama Calgary’s innovative menu, where timeless Mediterranean flavors were reimagined with a modern twist. And, of course, everyone indulged in refreshing craft cocktails while toasting to the newlyweds. For a sweet finale, a modern cake with clean lines by Chartier stood out against a lush garden of florals.

What happens when two strangers sit down for coffee? In the case of Kathryn Bass Bridal, a partnership was born. Founded in 2015 by Kathryn Bass and Kelsey McIntyre, the brand was built on a shared love of design, individuality and the magic of a perfect wedding gown. With Kathryn’s decade of experience in custom bridalwear and Kelsey’s background in fashion and bespoke gowns, their combined expertise has dressed brides across Canada, the U.S. and beyond.
For 2025, Kathryn Bass Bridal channels a spirit of effortless sophistication and personal expression, crafting a collection where ethereal fabrics, romantic textures and thoughtful silhouettes take center stage. Each gown is designed to be uniquely its own with features such as delicate floral appliqués, soft draping and timeless structure. Bringing this vision to life required a team of talented creatives who share that same passion for artistry. Sydney Aleisha Photography captured every frame with intention, showcasing the movement and texture of each Kathryn Bass gown, while Denise Elliot Beauty Co. enhanced the models' natural glow with soft, radiant makeup. The florals by FLEURESCENT ranged from whimsical sweet pea bouquets to lush toffee and cream roses, adding just the right touch of romance. And no bridal look would be complete without the exquisite rings from Leah Alexandra Jewelry, proving that the perfect details can transform a gown into a moment.
A little drama, a little romance and a whole lot of movement, the Stella is a dream for the bride who wants it all. This dazzling tiered skirt is designed with five layers of airy perfection, transforming into a playful three-tiered mini so you can twirl into the night with ease. The sparkling tulle catches the light in all the right ways, adding a soft shimmer to every step. And because Kathryn Bass Bridal believes in making every gown as unique as the bride wearing it, Stella can be customized with delicate flutter sleeves, charming bows or kept effortlessly chic with dainty spaghetti straps. Paired with the Kylie veil, this look is pure magic, blending modern versatility with timeless elegance.
Can we talk about Sierra for a second? A true ballerina-inspired dream. The structured bodice melts into a voluminous, sweeping skirt made for grand entrances and twirl-worthy moments. And because every bride deserves options, Sierra comes in two stunning versions: the sleek sophistication of mikado or the ethereal romance of sheer lace, shown here with the Kate veil.
The perfect wedding look isn’t just about the gown, it’s the details that truly bring it to life. From delicate veils that catch the light to earrings that add a hint of sparkle, accessories have the power to transform your bridal style. Kathryn Bass Bridal understands that every bride’s vision is unique, which is why they offer handcrafted veils and accessories curated to complement their stunning gowns, bringing your dream bridal look to life from head to hem.
